My friend did not want to purchase from an individual owner because he worried that if something went wrong with the car right away, he would have no recourse. I thought that was smart of him. My friend spent hours searching the internet for a car. He lives in Lockport and works in Tonawanda, and wanted a Subaru or other 4wd car to make things safe for his commute. Another smart choice on his part. We went to two Lockport car dealers and test drove 4 cars there. Then I drove him to TwinTon. My friend had found a Subaru and a Toyota, both 5-speed cars, which he wanted. We were greeted by one of the two brothers who have taken over this very long-standing dealership. Chris was our sales person. He let my friend test drive both cars he was interested in. Both were excellent, but the Subaru was the winner. It had brand new struts, rode like a dream, and had lots of power. The asking price was very close to the Kelly Blue Book value, which seemed reasonable. There was some heavy wear and tear on the driver's seat, for which we asked for a little better deal. Chris agreed. Chris made sure the car was clean and had a missing fender liner installed as we waited. They took care of registering and inspection right there on the spot. No financing was involved. The entire transaction went smoothly. There's a 30-day 1,000 mile warranty. It's been almost a month, and so far no major glitches. My friend absolutely loves his new car. I don't think we could have asked for a smoother, nicer transaction. BTW, the dealership is now run by two very nice brothers and their mom. Their grandfather was there, too. This is the opposite of a fly-by-night operation. This family has been in business now for generations!

This time we drove by and saw some vehicles that got our attention. We were there three different times and kept our eyes on one particular SUV that had everything we wanted. Bob took the SUV for a checkup at a garage where we were able to go in and check the underside, as we always like to check the underside for rust, holes etc. This vehicle was not only clean inside, but also underneath and practically rust-free! Everything about the vehicle was known and listed, with all taxes and any extra charges days before we settled. The vehicle was also detailed and that was a great thing as years ago another car lot promised to detail our minivan that was rear-ended, and gave that van to us VERY filthy. She asked questions to get an understading on what was going on with it so she had all of the facts. She called me with a quote before the work was done and had us out of there the same day. Well, they were incorrect, Top Value Transmissions got in touch with me and let me know that they take care of that. Amy, the owner wasn't sure if that was gonna be the actual problem or not until she saw it for herself. So I brought my van out there, it's borderline wheatfield and Niagara Falls, New York.. She had to order the part because I did in fact need the sensor, and it took six days to get there, so I went without a van, but I could've gotten it if I wanted it bad enough I just didn't really care at that point, I was so fed up with needing so much stuff done to the van to pass inspection. Amy found a lot of problems with it, of course. So she replaced the brakes and brake pads and other things that I don't know but everything that it definitely needed. And then eventually did the transmission sensor. Forgetting all the work done that I did it didn't cost too much. I mean it was a lot a lot for me. I can't afford anything is everybody knows, but just under $2000 to get a lot of work done. But just driving it home the van felt like a completely different van. Felt so nice. So she was able to take care of the job. I highly recommend her. She goes into detail about what you need. She's not a bullshitter and she even holds onto the parts that she took from your vehicle that were damaged and shows you afterwards and boy was mine in dire need of parts. Thank you, Amy and crew.
