Chokdee did good. Everything was cooked fresh for me , you can tell when a restaurant precooks the protein and just tosses it into a stir fry , that was not the case here . Service was a bit off . Maybe a bad day , the only real complaint is all the to go orders running out . People just hanging around on their phones, not a great dining experience. I do recommend you try , food was quite nice, I will go back

The ambiance of this restaurant was not good but it looked like a mostly take-out business. The food was good. We didn't like the black rice pudding as it was so overly sweet swimming in too sweet sauce. Fresh rolls were great and came with hot (temperature) peanut sauce. We'd eat here again and if we lived close by would mostly do take out though. Server was very nice and helpful answering questions about the menu.

Visited for a weekday lunch. They have cheap lunch specials, but they don't include any other additional items lime tea, appetizers, or dessert. It was about half full when we came in around noon. I ordered the pad cashew with chicken. It was good for the most part, but there wasn't a lot of chicken. Also the brown rice was fresh, as was the vegetables. Just wish there was more chicken. Our waitress were nice, and the place was clean and relatively quiet. There's a ton of indoor seating, but no outdoor seating. Plenty of free parking!

Some of my favorite Yelpers recommended this place which is why we came. I read through many of the post Covid reviews, and most people are happy with the food, but not everyone. One thing I also noticed is that it seems the business owner comments on almost every review. We arrived just before 5 o'clock on Tuesday and we were the first patrons. They do have an extensive menu and even a lunch menu that goes until 3 PM M-F. After looking at the drink menu, we decided on two glasses of water. They do have some beverages, but they do not have anything alcoholic like beer, wine, or sake. Hate to say it, but that cost half a star. We started with the lettuce wraps which was good, except that the lettuce was not quite mature and difficult to peel apart thus creating a mess. I had the red snapper which consisted of 7-8 small cubes of battered fish stirfried with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. To be honest, I would've preferred a fillet instead of cubes. I enjoyed the spiciness of the dish, but the fish seemed a little dry. It's at this point that a cold Pilsner would've been a source of welcome relief. The wife got the tofu and veggie plate, but was not fond of their spicy recipe. We had great service and by the time we left, there were two more patrons. Food+service ****.

This is the second time I tried Chokdee and both not impressed. Food 2/5- pad Thai 2/5- noodles was cooked perfectly, shrimp was deveined, chicken over cooked. The taste is more in the salty side I was looking for the tamarind taste which I did not get Thai Beef Salad 1/5- did not like it! More on the salty side. Im not sure why they would cook the red onion usually Thai beef salad has raw red onions. I did not get that sour taste at all Coconut shrimp 4/5- husband said it was good cooked perfectly and had a crunch Service 5/5 I really wanted to like Chokdee in Manor but got disappointed. I have tried the one in University and that location was really good.

There aren't many good dining options in Manor but Chokdee Thai Cuisine is one of them. My favorite dishes are the pad Thai noodles (avoid this if you have a peanut allergy), pad se-ew with flat rice noodles, egg, and Chinese broccoli, and tom kha soup, a coconut-based soup with lemongrass and kaffir-lime leaves to add citrus and brightness. I recently tried their taro smoothie. Mildly sweet, creamy and delicious! I'll be getting it again during the hot summer months.

It's perfectly poached, incredibly tender, and paired with fragrant rice that's rich without being greasy. It also comes with a decadent bowl of soup. I usually start with the chicken skin appetizer, which iss dangerously addictive. It's crispy, light, and comes with dipping sauce. The combo plate is the way to go if you want to try the poached and fried chicken. You get a variety of textures and flavors, both juicy and crunchy. Both sauces are great to dip in and the chicken goes great with the rice. If you can handle spice, the boat noodles are a great option too. The broth is complex and spicy, with tender noodles and well-seasoned meat. The spiciness is definitely a build up, but the broth is so good you can't stop drinking it. Overall, P Thai's is a great spot for lunch or dinner. Plenty of seating inside with some outside, nice staff that explain everything, and a great spot to share food. Their thai tea is great too so don't skip out on that. Definitely have been here multiple times and will keep coming back.

The chicken salad is zingy and really good, but you definitely need to add the rice to balance the flavors. I had actually never had boat noodles this sour and spicy before, and while they did warn me ahead of time, it still caught me off guard. That said, it was honestly delicious, just not what I expected. One thing to note: they don't really do modifications, so just be prepared to order things as-is. I also have to give them credit for the outdoor seating area because it's such a nice setup. It's dog-friendly, shaded, spacious, and they even have a self-serve water station. My only critique is that I think the portions are a bit small for the price point. Still, I'd recommend checking it out.

I usually go for the chicken or ribeye beef bánh mì, and the portions are just right--not too much, not too little. The bread is made fresh daily, which really makes a difference. I also appreciate that there's some flexibility with customization if you're not a fan of certain traditional garnishes or want to add extras. Their Vietnamese and Thai dishes are consistently good as well--I tend to stick with their curry, which never disappoints. On this visit, I stopped by for Vietnamese iced coffee and some baked goods. I tried the shortbread cookies; they weren't soft like I had hoped (their lemon cookies are soft and delicious- my husband had it from here before), but that's pretty typical for shortbread. The iced Vietnamese coffee is one of my favorites here--perfectly balanced, not overly sweet and not too bitter. On the positive side, the Pork Bahn Mi was pretty good. The bread was fresh and chewy, the veggies were tasty, and the pork had good flavor. That said, the meat portion was noticeably light. It wasn't terrible, but a few more pieces of pork would have gone a long way. The real letdown was the Chicken Pad Thai my friend ordered. Pad Thai typically runs anywhere from $13-$19 or more around town, and this place caught my attention by pricing it at the low end ($13). Unfortunately, once you opened the to-go container, it was clear why. The portion was shockingly small--maybe 25% of the container filled--and there was barely any chicken. It honestly looked like a kid-sized portion. I have actually seen this trend with other places where you get less when you order to go. At the store I inspected the order and noticed this, so I mentioned it to the staff and was met with a shrug and silence. When I brought it to my friend (who's petite and loves pad thai), even she immediately asked, "Where's the meat?" She finished it and was still hungry--and that's never happened as she eats Chicken Pad Thai weekly. She confirmed with me that she was not pregnant (lol) so I ended up sharing my sandwich with her. She said it tasted fine, but nothing special, and definitely not worth $13. While the Bahn Mi was solid, the overall experience screamed shrinkflation. The lower price point felt like a bait-and-switch once you see the portion size. We've had Chicken Pad Thai at places like Sip Saam, 888, 1618, and others for slightly more money, but with far more food and chicken. We enjoy trying new spots, but this was a one-and-done for both of us. Saving a few ounces of noodles and a couple pieces of chicken might minimally help costs in the short term, but it hurts customer trust and satisfaction long term. Fair portions matter just as much as flavor--and unfortunately, this place missed that balance. The lack of response when I mentioned the small portion size made me feel dismissed as a customer which made the experience worse. Priorities, I guess.
