My introduction to Thai food started here. I first came here some time ago when I believe they had just opened. After that I was hooked on Thai food. I almost never make it back out to this location because I live almost an hour away but anytime I'm in the area I try to stop by for food. The service is always fast and the food is always fresh. Warm welcome as we entered the establishment, hostess/waitress was attentive and kind and knowledgeable about the menu items. I was washer to try one of the many curry options they had available. My husband and I are vegetarians so we wanted to find a restaurant that has vegetarian options. Chokdee can make pretty anything on the menu as vegetarian. Whenever we go to a Thai restaurant for the first time, we order 4 dishes to make sure we like the restaurant. (Usually pad thai, pad kee maw, one fried rice and one curry). We ordered pad thai, pad kee maw, massaman curry and basil fried rice all with tofu. Overall, good flavor. We liked pad kee maw the best out of all the dishes. Basil fried rice came with chicken so we didn't end up eating it, but little bit we tried before knowing that it had chicken, it was good! The server was extremely nice! She was smiling the whole time even though she was really really busy with customers rushing in for dinner. We really appreciated her energy and good service. That was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The spring rolls are huge. Be aware that they are basically their own meal if you order it by yourself. This is one of my favorite Thai places in the area. I used to doordash when I came in town but now after being in the physical restaurant I like it even more. My personal go to's are the pad ginger chicken and vegetable egg rolls. They're delicious and made with high quality ingredients. At first glance, it seems like a good place to go, but unfortunately, I had to knock off a couple of stars. I'm a huge fan of Thai iced tea in general, but this one was unbearably sweet. It was like your child dumped the whole bag of sugar into the Kool-Aid kind of sweet. The guy next to me ordered one too and ended up pouring some of his water into it. I don't know how the heck he drank it. Even after I watered it down and stirred it around to get the ice to melt, it was still horrible. Five or six dollars for a drink I couldn't even sip on. Of course, I'm too nice to say anything, so I just went on with my meal. My lomein noodles, though, were pretty fire, I have to admit. Spot on and really good. I asked for medium spice, and that's exactly what it was. Props to the chef. All in all, I think we spent about $50 or $60, so not too bad for the meal. Before I left, I went into the men's room, and it was pretty dirty. Supplies on some shelves were in the middle of the restroom, find another place for that in the back or something. Not a good look, just presents laziness. There were splatters on the wall. I mean, how hard is it to just wipe down the wall every once in a while? I don't know, man. I would not expect the restroom to look like this, considering the rest of the building was pretty clean. Come by and check this place out. Get some good food, but don't order the tea. Had takeout from here a while back so we decided to come in for dinner and try it out. Parking can be limited depending on the time you go since it's a shared lot. If you go when there is an Orange Theory Fitness class going on you could be out of luck on finding a spot. Outside of that service is good prices are decent. Portions are fair but we only ordered 3 items kids fried rice chicken satay pad thai with chicken Everything was great and my only reason for not giving the extra star is the cleanliness of our area. The table was wiped down but it was almost as if everything was just wiped onto the floor. Overall we'll comeback but maybe just do takeout. read more

I have been to this location 3 times however one was for take out only. Yesterday's visit was great however there were a few things I would do /order differently next time. Upon entering the restaurant only had 2 tables seated , we were told to sit where ever we would like. Two of the tables were half way picked up with a dirty rag and half drunken cups sitting on them. The seating situation isn't my favorite either but hey it is what it is. We ordered the following: Pad kee mow - it was great, I think my favorite thing from here so far, we ordered it to go last time and really like it as well. 5/5 Pad woonsen is a close second!! I love the noodle it comes with and the flavor profile. 5/5 The panang curry was our least favorite- seemed a little watery and we were looking for it to be a tad bit more creamy . 3/5 The rice that came with the curry wasn't great either texture as a bit dry and seemed it was sitting uncovered for quite some time. The spice levels go from 0-5 and even the 2 is a tad bit spicy. Personally I like to add the spicy sauces they have too so with the spice already being so high it was hard to add more -& I like spicy! They have one spicy sauce I'm not sure what it's called but it has some little red peppers (not flakes) in it. It's by far my favorite. Last time I ordered the mango and sticky rice and it is dreammmyyy!! The menus seemed to be a little raggedy and needed to be updated but I understand as an establishment there's a time and a place for this. Staff was nice and the order came out in a timely fashion. We were so hungry and excited for our food I forgot to get photos of the actual food . I will return and get photos next time ! read more

Although it is a small restaurant, it is well decorated, clean and bright with friendly servers. After perusing the menu, we ordered vegetarian apples and two entrées. I had the. Pad Woon Sen with tofu which was presented as a stirfry dish with rice. (unusual since it is a noodle dish). My friend ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. The spring rolls came out first, three of them with dipping sauce. We split them between us. The filling was tasty. My dish of mung bean noodles and veggies with tofu was very good, although not very spicy. That was my own fault since I did not specify how much heat I wanted. My friend found her pad thai somewhat disappointing. It was fairly finicky, and the noodles were thin and she was unimpressed. We did ask for soy sauce and something to increase the heat. We were brought packets of soy sauce as well as two plastic tubs, one which contained chili oil and the other contained chili paste. I added bits of all three containers to my pad woon sen and enjoyed it. Oh, for all I would return and like to try some of their other foods. This is the second time we have tried this restaurant. The place isn't big but there is plenty of seating. The young lady who greeted us at the door was very friendly and pleasant. She was the waiter we had the first time. I tried the Pad Pak with chicken this time. It was piping hot when it came to the table. This dish has cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, celery, and mushrooms in a brown sauce. I chose jasmine rice. It's a big portion that can be easily shared by two adults. The meal was delicious. I'll have my leftovers for dinner tonight. It's a bit pricey for Thai food but I guess inflation is hitting everyone. read more

Stopped in at 11am for an early lunch. The lone hostess/server was very welcoming and took our order promptly. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and my wife had the Chicken Fried Rice. Both items came out piping hot. My wife's veggies in her dish were excellent and well seasoned. I ordered my dish spicy-hot and that didn't disappoint. When we were leaving, the waitress asked how the spice level was and I joked that it was very good but I would probably order medium heat next time. She laughed and said that I did have the medium heat! It was a 2 out of 5 level. Yikes! I can only imagine the 5!?! I like my food spicy; but the waitress saved my palette on her call to give me a 2. We had lunch there yesterday. It's an unassuming restaurant in a strip mall in Round Rock. The food was delicious. I had coconut shrimp soup that was wonderful. My husband had pud thai and I'm not sure what our friend had. Servings were large. My husband had enough left over for dinner. They came back two minutes later still menu open. We just ordered at that point. Food: pad thai lacked flavor the rice noddles were hard to chew. Chicken was about the only thing I could eat from it. This is an amazing little gem, wish it was more known. The service was very kind, They even gave us a spring roll on the house! the atmosphere was okay, only thing they didn't have wifi when we went so there was no music. but that happens sometimes i understand. The food was absolutely incredible. everything was fresh, tasty, flavorful. We had 2 smoothies, one out of mango, one out of honeydew. It was absolutely incredible. Made out of fresh fruit and the mango was so creamy! We also got Tom Kha with shrimp, and Tom Yum with beef. We couldn't stop sipping on both of them. The shrimp in the Tom Kha was cooked to perfection. it was so tender. Same with the beef. Very nice flavor profiles. then we got the Pad-Se-Eew with Flat rice noodles and seafood combo. We absolutely loved it. And then came the best part, the mango sticky rice Honestly the best i've tried in all of Austin area so far. Takes a minute to get your food but it's not a fast food restaurant. Which is where I can go to just enjoy a great meal and not be rushed out the door. Everyone seems to be in such a hurry nowadays that we can't take a moment to savor and enjoy our food. Food is always freshly cooked, of course! The owner and staff are so friendly, too. Can't seem to find good customer service anywhere else anymore either. But here you can. The restaurant appears to be clean and well kept. For starters this is a hidden gem. Great lunch specials and a reasonably priced menu. The portions are on the large side (I went for lunch and I had a to go container). The service was quick and pleasant. My friend comes often and they remember his name and his order so that was cool. We got curry I had green curry with chicken and he had the red curry with salmon.. the Thai Tea was good and sweet (how I like it). I'm convinced that Texans don't have a clue as to what good food is. The won ton soup was inedible. It was just plain nasty. The Tom Kha soup was full of onions. The broth was very watery and not very tasty. Even the peanut salad dressing was lacking flavor. I wasted $20. I'm going to stop buying from restaurants here because most of it is bad.
