I love the Tonkotsu Ramen. I do modify mine and they are always wonderful and accommodating no matter what I change. The black garlic oil add in is AMAZING! We also got the fried rice omelette which is somehow even more delicious than it is artistic and beautiful. I really enjoy the quiet atmosphere and intimate setting. Even when busy and full, it offers easy conversation and a comfortable place to relax while enjoying your meal.

I had a comp night at Aliante. When that was arranged, I went on Yelp to look for someplace in the Northwest for dinner. I bookmarked Yoshiya and I'm really glad I did. It was a quick drive from Aliante to Farm Road/Durango and there was Yoshiya. Some of the menu was new to me. I knew I didn't want ramen. I was intrigued by some of the house signature dishes, espcially the Japanese omelette or omurice. I ordered the kurobuta sausage omelette with the house special sauce. The dish was really appealing looking and was a work of art. Fried rice with the pork and veggies topped by a thin omelette and surrounded with the house special sauce. It certtianly was a flavorful and filling dish. For dessert, I got the strawberry crèpe cake. It was very light. The cake was very thin. The strawbeery cream was quite tasty. It made a perfect ending to this dinner. Yoshiiya is a small place. Service was terrifiic. The young lady who served me was ver helpful in answering questions. I was so pleased I would drive there to try something else. It's veyr good!

Omelette rice, chicken karage and seaweed salad

I don't know why I was worried coming here but needless to say everything exceeded my expectations. The food was quality with large portions and every item was decently priced for dinner time. I ordered the seaweed salad, chicken karage and omelette rice. Total amount before tip was $29. I probably could have gotten away with just the omelette but I wanted to try everything. Service was good, a bit busy but that's a good thing! Ambiance is great for all parties. Not too quiet, not too loud, good soothing music choice as well. Definitely coming back!

Gyūdon was on point. The thinly sliced beef was tender and the rice was cooked just right. I ended up ordering two more beef bowls to-go for the next day because they were so delicious. Our server made sure our waters stayed full even though every table was full and he was all alone. Thank you and I'll need to come back to try one of their curry dishes. Saw the table next to us getting them and they looked so good.

Authentic Japanese cafe fare. Very quiet and relaxing. Food was amazing and a great value for the price, quality ingredients and large portions. Service was kind and efficient. You can't beat free coffee from noon to 5pm, the kiddo loved it. We wanted to try more dishes but we were way too full Standouts for me: Chashu Omurice Dipping Ramen

Some of the best gyoza I've ever had. The beef bowl was phenomenal. The chicken omelet was good but didn't enjoy it as much as the other two items. I noticed that some of the space was much warmer than the other side so if that bothers you don't sit near the windows. The food was great and so was the service. We will be returning for sure.

Decided to come here for a double date and it was pretty chill vibes. The ambiance is pretty relaxed and dark. The servers were good, sometimes they were slow, other times it was pretty quick, it just depended. Apps: 1. Gyoza was nice and crispy with a good dipping sauce to match 2. Takoyaki had a great crisp with a good sauce. It is very doughy though! So just a heads up. Mains: 1. Chicken Katsu Curry: the curry was delish! It had a great savory taste. The chicken was good, but it lacked flavor on its own. 2. The Omelette Rice is definitely the favorite. The sauce is savory kinda of like a glaze. It had a tangy flavor too. Fried Rice was perfectly cooked 3. Seafood Dipping Ramen: the ramen got cold really quick, so the noodles stuck together a lot. The broth is very good though. Dessert: 1. Boba Crepe Cake is good, but not worth the money.

It's a very small, quiet, relaxing area. Nice music mainly comprised of piano music. Some places play louder music with prominent bass lines. The Chicken Kara-age had a very nice crisp to the skin, very tender, and the sauce was sublime. I couldn't put my finger on what it was, i tasted a hint of Japanese mayonnaise. It leaves a great taste following the zest of the lemon squeezed on top of the chicken. The tonkotsu ramen has a very subtle flavor to the broth, not overpowering. The miso ramen noodles weren't too thick. And it really shouldn't be. The gyoza was a nice steam finish, with only one side grilled. Flavorful especially with the dip sauce. The service didn't take too long. it left the impression there were literally only two people working front of the house. But they were polite, and checked on us a few times. Definitely want to try it again, and this time get dessert. the strawberrry crepe cake looked tantalizing

Best beef bowl in the city! Yoshiya has earned its reputation for standout Japanese comfort food, especially their Gyudon (beef bowl), omelette rice, and ramen. I've been on a personal quest to find the best beef bowl in town, and after sampling many local spots, none compare to this place. So what makes their Gyudon special? The beef is sliced into delicate ribbons, incredibly tender and simmered with onions in a rich blend of soy, mirin, sugar, sake, and dashi. The result is a salty-sweet, savory glaze that soaks into a bed of perfectly cooked rice, deeply comforting and satisfying. It reminds me of Yoshinoya, my favorite Japanese fast-food chain, but with far superior quality. Beyond the beef bowl, their gyoza are crisp and flavorful, and the omelette rice is unique with soft, fluffy eggs draped over seasoned fried rice and swimming in a thick demi-glacé sauce that tastes like Worcestershire infused with tomato ~ simple yet indulgent. The dining space is cozy and dimly lit, adorned with beautiful Japanese artwork that adds to the serene ambiance. Johnny takes great care of us each time. We love coming here and find ourselves returning again and again. Bonus: there's plenty of free parking right out front in a quiet plaza.

Wasn't too impressed with this place. The food was ok and the service was mediocre. I found this place because I was craving for chicken katsu curry but it was decent here- the flavor is right but you can't choose a spice level, instead, they provided me with different spices on the side to add to my preference but it just wasn't the same. The chicken eggrolls tasted like frozen store bought eggrolls. I ordered the beef bowl to-go for my mom and she said it wasn't that great and lacked flavor. The chicken omelette rice would probably have been the best dish we ordered- definitely a must try here. For dessert, we ordered the brown sugar crepe cake which was good but they do serve a very small slice. Overall, nothing really stood out for me to come back for. If I do come back, it would probably be to try the ramen next time.

Had dinner here again since we were in the mood for udon and ramen (they have both). We also ordered pot stickers as an appetizer which were very good along with our ramen and udon. Atmosphere is nice, server friendly and attentive, food delicious and price decent. Overall, we had a very good experience.

This was my second time here. I had completely forgotten but as soon as I walked in, I remembered how much I enjoyed the ramen. Second time around, can confirm, food is still delicious. Idk why its so different from other ramen places. Maybe its simpler, or freshier, I'm not sure, but the broth is more flavorful and iblove you can order a side of black garlic, which of course elevates the dish. I've only ever had the ramen but I'm sure everything else is just as good.

Fortunately, the wait was only about 10 minutes, which was surprisingly quick. I ordered the soft-shell crab, baked green mussels, and BBQ ribs with steamed rice. My son ordered the yoshu ramen and fried rice. The food came out fairly quickly, but I noticed that the baked mussels never arrived. When I asked our waitress about it, she said the kitchen was backed up. However, after waiting more than 30 minutes and already finishing the rest of our meal, it felt like the order may have simply been forgotten. What disappointed me most was the lack of an apology. The waitress even asked if I still wanted the mussels at that point. I was ready to cancel the order, but Kyo stepped in and tried to make things right. Thanks to his efforts, the mussels arrived about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, when the mussels finally arrived, I was disappointed again. They were prepared very differently from the baked green mussels I'm used to getting at restaurants in Los Angeles. They were quite spicy, which wasn't mentioned, and the flavor just wasn't what I expected. After waiting more than 40 minutes for them, they definitely weren't worth the wait. Overall, the food was decent, and the restaurant was busy and energetic, but the service mishap and the disappointing mussels left me with mixed feelings about the experience. I do appreciate Kyo's effort to make things right, as he was the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating situation.
