Dinner special D25. Salt Pepper Fried Pork Chops Dinner half and half for extra $2and I got some almond cookies tasty not sweet

Salt pepper roast duck dinner more roast duck then salt and pepper. Still a good deal !

So usually I wouldn't rate a restaurant on their takeout presentation, but in this situation, they only have a handful of tables, so I imagine most of their business would need to be takeout. I hope they see this because I think they have a great thing going because the food tastes good, but it is hard to overlook the other stuff. The other stuff - so the place is about 30% more expensive than Chinese Restaurants in the area so I wasn't expecting "cheaper Chinese". This was for an office, so it was bad when I realized that the bags were leaking all over the place. The food was stacked 4 plates high and the lightest stuff wasn't on top. It isn't that the food toppled over, but it was a leaning tower. They had two bags of food, they didn't utilize space. The soup was in Tupperware-like container the rest was in the cheap styrofoam containers. To their credit, they did double bag the outside box, and then they individually bagged two different plates, they still leaked. The styrofoam boxes have paper in the bottom of some, but not in others, so if you plan to microwave your food, the styrofoam may melt on your food if it is directly touching it. They did not include soy sauce even though steamed rice was ordered. In short, the food was worth the price, but I needed a 2nd person to balance the food because the bag was too top heavy when I was driving back. They should not be using the cheap styrofoam containers, and they should not be piling them so high. The change in the cost for better containers would be minimal, the change in presentation would be astronomical. Even if they went back to using the same paper containers they use for rice... so different.

Zero stars. 1 star out of being forced to be able to post this review. Embarrassing, pathetic, disgusting, worthless, putrid bullshit and anyone who says anything else either got something free, is lying for some weird reason, or is a delusional lunatic. This pitiful attempt at coconut chicken was the most horrendous food product I've ever received from a restaurant in 38 years of life. Half of this shit doesn't even have chicken in it, they're just clumps of fried tempura. The pieces that did have chicken in it were so small and stringy that they just dried up into the batter. The coconut sauce was served cold and on the side and tasted more like vinegar than anything else. The rice was completely bland and lacked anything that resembled flavor. The wanton egg drop soup was just as bad. Gross and mushy wantons, and the soup itself tasted like goopy yellow water. I had to put salt and pepper in it just so I didn't call the cops. If I could charge this place with a hate crime I would. To the owners: you should be publicly humiliated and embarrassed to serve this miserable shit, let alone call it food, and especially have the audacity to charge money for it. The only good thing was that the chicken container was slightly crushed so uber sent me all my money back for the packaging being damaged and the food being inedible. I might use the refund to print flyers notifying everyone within 100 miles to walk in your door, fart, and leave.

    S9. Four Season

The lady at the register was super friendly. The food was ready within 10 minutes and it was well packed. Sauces, utensils, and fortune cookies were added without asking for it. I ordered the Dinner special Mongolian beef (spicy) and the Four season. Portions are huge, plenty of leftovers. Food was still hot when I got home. Another better option than Panda express.

We were looking for a nice place to have dim sum with our good friend's going away to college…read morebrunch for his son. As I opened the Yelp app I see the nicest business owner reply from Palette Tea. Perfect timing Palette it is!!! They sat us right away for our reservation for six even though only two of us had arrived. We were sure they were minutes behind because our friend is super punctual. Our server was super nice and understanding as our friends arrived 45 minutes late. They kept us updated as they were stuck on the freeway . There was a big accident. While we were waiting I asked for assistance with the menu. I asked if there was anything that was gluten free. He said yes and ran away. I thought he was getting a gf menu so I was getting hopeful. I saw him running around the restaurant and into the back of the house and then he didn't come back for a while so I didn't know what was going on. He then arrived with a gf menu. One that he went to the chefs and made one on the spot for me. He marked everything on the menu that could be made gf. Now that is service! I thanked him for taking the time to do that for me. If he just rambled off everything it would be so hard to remember it all, not to mention that the restaurant now has a gf menu. Every dish we had was delicious. Wagyu beef chow fun gf, Poached Chinese Kale (Gai Lan gf, Braised Japanese Egg Tofu w/ Assorted Mushroom gf, crispy noodles with exotic seafood, Wok Fried Wagyu Steak w/ Asparagus, Cucumber Salad with Sesame Dressing gf, Steamed Beef Tripe w/ Ginger & Scallion Sauce, Rainbow Shrimp Dumplings. Turnip cake and shiu mai. The absolute can't miss were the Wagyu Steak w/Asparagus and Japanese egg tofu. I also had the watermelon juice that was super fresh and sweet. It was only $8 for a large glass. It's the best deal I've ever gotten for fresh watermelon juice. It was a great afternoon with friends. The service was top notch. The food was on point and Palette Tea proved again why it is on our favorite list for dim sum and a great place to gather with friends and family. We can't recommend this restaurant enough. It is also a beautiful room as well.

There were several dishes where the ingredients seemed to compete rather than complement each other. The mochi ducklings were adorable and perfect for photos, but the filling wasn't particularly memorable. The lightly sweet-yet-savory flavor combined with the chestnut crunch was actually a little off-putting. For a meat-filled mochi, I expected something more distinctly savory. The rainbow shrimp crepes were another visual standout, but the rice roll itself was too thick and not as soft or flavorful as I would have liked. The colorful bands looked interesting, but whatever vegetable or herb mixture was used had such a strong flavor that it overwhelmed the shrimp and sauce. The shrimp ended up feeling like an afterthought. The coconut pudding was also gorgeous, but the texture was surprisingly firm--closer to agar than a soft, creamy pudding. I've had much better versions elsewhere. The lobster dumplings were good, although I wish they had been served with a plate. They arrived in the bamboo steamer directly on the table, and after pumping the butter into the dumplings, it ended up running all over the table. The fried tofu was probably the safest choice and enjoyable. The fried bass was good as well, except for the peppercorn seasoning. I was expecting more of a classic salt-and-pepper flavor, but the Sichuan-style zing felt out of place to me. One small but important operational suggestion: they should replace the black credit card holders. The card blends into the holder so well that it's incredibly easy to overlook. I actually left my credit card behind because I couldn't see it in the holder. A contrasting color or different design would probably prevent a lot of forgotten cards. Overall, it was an interesting experience with beautiful presentation and some very creative ideas, but for me, the visuals were stronger than the flavors. I'm glad I tried it, but it probably isn't somewhere I'd return to.
