Great first experience here for Sunday lunch. The place is absolutely beautiful, so well designed and decorated #housegoals All the staff were so friendly and attentive; the manager came around to ensure all was good at our table as well. Menu has great options. I went with the Chophouse burger, medium rare, to really test the caliber here. It was done to perfection, and was super tasty. The balsamic bacon-onion jam really added a yummy/hipster vibe which I enjoyed! Fries were a bit under-cooked, but a minor fault (did I really need the fries anyway...nope ‍). Sitting in the open-air bar on a beautiful day was an instant bonus, as not many local places offer this kind of space. I'll definitely be back again! read more

Another potentially great place that fell short relative to the high prices and dishonesty in portion. Shrimp appetizer was very good. Got prime rib which was supposed to be 14 oz. but really about 9 (have been ordering and buying steaks for decades - I know). Very thin cut, otherwise it was very good. Sides did not have any effort put into them. Potatoes were not seasoned and very dry, The broccoli rabe was like regular, full-headed broccoli - never had it like this and like the potatoes, dry and lacked flavor. The waiter at first was very knowledgeable and good. But when he asked me how it was soon after serving the entree, I told him that although the prime rib was very good, there was no way it was 14 oz. Went to CH after a long time away (Covid, no other reason) after a friend suggested the short ribs. We were taken care of by a very friendly server named Bridget. She was excellent in taking care of our order ad a blast to chat with! We told her anytime we go back, we'll be asking for her again! And the short ribs....both were exceptional! read more

Very nice restaurant. Started the meal with an Old Fashioned that was as close to perfect as I have seen. I tried the short rib entree and was very happy with it. Really tender and flavorful. My boyfriend and I went here Saturday night for drinks and apps at the bar. It wasn't crowded at all due to the weather. We ordered the tuna poke tacos, buffalo chicken flatbread, and fries. Unfortunately, the bartender messed up the order and forgot to put in the fries despite asking us if we wanted "truffle fries." It was a bit annoying, but you could tell she was young and inexperienced. Plus she was extremely busy looking at her phone. The food we did get was delicious. The atmosphere is casual. Overall, it was a halfway decent experience and I would consider giving it a second chance but not anytime soon. read more

Food alone- 5 stars. I went there for my dates birthday. We got there around 7:30pm and there was only 4 tables including ours, two people at the bar, and two servers serving the 4 tables so it wasn't busy. We sat at the table for 5 minutes before our server even came to ask us for our drink order. For 15 minutes she disappears. We wanted to order our food but there wasn't anybody to order to. I heard what looked like the manager ask a table next to ours if they liked their food. He came up to our table, kept eye contact with me but kept walking. I wish he would of stopped bc I would of put an order in!! Then the waitress comes back and is pouring my $12 drink all over my leg. She kept saying "Sorry!!" Then pouring more on my leg and giggling, "sorry!!" Less than half was in the cup and then she asked us for our food order. After she left I cleaned up my leg with napkins and saw my pants left a dye in them from the coloring of the drink and my leg was wet and sticky. I took the two sips that was actually in the drink. I considered going to the bar to get another drink but I stayed at the table. Then 20 mins go by and she asks us for another drink order. Our food came and our drinks didn't come out for another few mins. The scallops and risotto were delicious. The bill came and she charged me full price for the drink she spilled on me! I didn't say anything bc I was the one paying the bill for my dates birthday and I didn't want it to seem like I'm a cheapo. But I was upset! I left with a big stain on my pants. So wait time over all was not good, my pants getting wet and a stain was not good but the food was yummy. read more

First time and last time. My wife and I tried the ChopHouse for a date night, and while the restaurant ambience was nice, the food was sub par for the price. After being seated, we sat for 15 minutes before the floor manager came over and asked if we had been helped yet. The $35 bone in ribeye was tough, paper thin and over salted with no sear at all. My wife's braised short rib was dry, but not as dry as the fingerling potatoes that I needed to chase with water. We skipped desert and got Ben and Jerry's ice cream at the local Giant. read more

First, let me qualify myself as a frequent customer to the high-end restaurants in this area and around the globe. Second, I have had dinners prior to and after pandemic at this restaurant. What I have observed is that the services are not on-par with the price. Not a problem charging for higher price comparing the similar restaurants in this region. But it appears to be a fundamental flaw that this restaurant has no clue on their market segments, and how to differentiate and serve the best customers who don't even look at the price on the Menu. It appears that the staff have not being trained, and apparently have the mentality of operating just a Macdonald's. Just finished a dinner with my family there at the reopening after pandemic. It is of disappointing to see the restaurant does not have the ability to identify and to serve the needs of the customers who every high-end restaurant wants to please and to keep. Without this type of the customers, the restaurant is just another average place with no sustainable profitability. ChopHouse recently opened in Exton, and I'm happy it did! Our first experience was last evening with my wife. The restaurant is beautiful, with an outdoors area, as well as a very inviting bar. We had reservations and were seated quickly. Everyone was kind and helpful. I have an awesome onion soup, then prime rib. The rib was great - a little fat but not so bad. It came with asparagus; other sides were available for $8 (like sauteed mushrooms, fries, etc.). My wife ordered the statler chicken breast, which she says is the best chicken she has ever tasted (I tried it and agree). Drinks were also very well prepared. The menu is a bit pricey; and I felt the sides were overpriced. Other than than, I am surely going to visit again! Well done. read more

For one thing the music needs to be turned down or off. Really noisy. Our waitress was great, but the kitchen seemed to be having some mixups with orders. Turkey burger was large, moist but the smashed avacado on the bun and the pickled relish was a real miss. Does avacado have to be on everything today? IF I went back I would just ask for the burger without the avacado or slaw. The side salad was fresh, but the dressing lacked any taste. Summer berries salad was good and a nice portion, added shrimps for additional $6 dollars and got 3 shrimp. Thought for $6 they would serve 4. Overall its another place like a dozen others. Had an excellent pre Easter meal with family. Seven of us each had something different with no complaints about preparation. Grandsons ordered from the brunch menu and fought over the special bacon. Fun place to eat but we definitely won't expecting it to be so pricey. We love about 30 minutes away and saw this place being built. We planned to check it out but didn't do our homework beforehand. We pulled up to the parking lot full of very expensive cars. All we could afford was a drink each and sandwiches. Luckily they offer sandwiches on the menu. I was really looking forward to trying out this new restaurant. Turned out to be a disappointment. On the plus side, the ambiance and the decor is very nice. The outdoor seating area looks great! However the food and portion size was extremely disappointing and quite pricy. They charged $35 for an entree of a single crab cake! My steak was very small portion sized, was decent but not worth the prize. The service was decent, the waiter responsive and reasonably friendly. The 5 of us were left hungry at the end of a meal that was costed us well over $200. Not worth the money at all!! read more

We recently moved from the city to the suburbs. ChopHouse Grille solidifies that the worst part about leaving the city was leaving the food scene. The menu sounds inspired, but unfortunately, the food itself is lackluster. We spent $140 for 2 people sans tip - 3 drinks, one app, 2 NY strips plus a shared side. This meal had promise, but could use some love. We'd rather go to Seven Stars Inn in Spring City for a good steak and spend considerably less, or try ChopHouse for lunch instead of dinner. We will not be back for date night, but for lunch, we may reconsider. Their handhelds and salads may be better prepared than their main courses. Keep trying, Exton ... we're paying for a 30 year mortgage anyway. read more

Great ambiance, terrific wait staff! I think my only issue is the fact that the name is misleading, as this is NOT a steakhouse as the name would imply! There are the basic steak offerings, but no high end large size steaks, no pork or lamb chops, No seafood towers which are crowd pleasers. What they do have on the menu is executed well in a beautiful contemporary classy setting. The booths are a little on the tight side FYI to the XL crowd. I hope they modify the menu to please a true carnivores like me. A special discount on wine for week nights might be well accepted to sample labels which are typically not available in PA state stores. Nice atmosphere, in a booth you can hear others in your party. Would have liked a thicker cut of the bone-in ribeye and greater portion of vegetables with the entrees. The scallops were delicious. The brussel sprouts were amazing and had unique flavor with the touch of mint. The seasonal harvest pear cocktail was awesome! For a restaurant that opened the week before I visited for the first time I was extremely disappointed. The drinks were extremely disappointing. The bar service was very slow and the bar tender struggled to make a classic drink ( a manhattan). Instead the correct cherries that belong in that drink they brought Maraschino cherries. The food was soso. I had the roast beef sandwich which I have to say was quite delicious. However, my company started with cheese board and then had steak frites and steak with mushroom. The cheese board was extremely disappointing. The steak frites where not prepared correctly at all; the truffle fries tasted exactly like the regular fries and the steak was way past medium and was not sliced was left as a chunk. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday last week and we were excited about the menu but disappointed by the food. He ordered a NY strip steak medium rare and. It came out medium well. I ordered a burger medium and it was definitely well done and a little burnt. For the price point of this place this was a massive let down. They are advertised as an a la carte type of steak place, two drinks, an appetizer, a steak and a burger were over $100 with tip which I wouldn't be mad about if they were cooked correctly. I visited for the first time yesterday for lunch with a friend. I had a burger and side Cesar salad, she had an entree salad with beets, shrimp and goat cheese. We both found the food to be excellent! I can't tell you the last time I raved about a Cesar salad but this one was perfect, as was the burger. Our server was prompt, personable and attentive. Our water glasses were never less than half full as there was a sweet girl who kept her eye on them. Great dining experience and I will be back! read more
