Quick service, cold drinks and good food. Haven't been here in years but so glad we stopped by on an early Sunday afternoon. The servers there were really hustling and no matter who walks by the help you which how they do it I have no idea, but it's coordinated and they're on top of everything. We had a group of four we all tried something different and also shared the mini taco appetizers. Everything was quite tasty. Service was non existent , bartenders definitely tend to the regulars and ignore everyone else. A cheeseburger took almost 45 minutes, cooked to a well done temperature even though I ordered medium rare. Please don't tell me about the health concerns regarding undercooked meat, it's my food and I want it prepared the way I order it. The profanity laced conversations between the bartenders was mildly entertaining but got old quickly. All in all a terrible meal, served by people that truly hate working there. If you are thinking of giving Choppers a try, don't. Many dining/drinking options in the Antioch area that care about all their patrons! read more

Visited the Chain O Lakes region this past fourth of July. The country fried chicken was worth the wait! However we sat outside for about 30 mins because the staff forgot we were there. From my understanding they are short staffed. Despite this I returned for brunch a second time. When we arrived I kindly tried to tell the bartender that we would find a seat on the deck. She responded with a "bye", then the whole biker bar laughed (only mentioning this because I ride myself ). I don't care busy or not, you do not speak to customers that way! I know people have bad days but the whole experience was a turn off for me. I gladly took my ass somewhere else. The service was terrible. It took forever for our order and the food was just bland. The soups were gross. No one came over to ask if we wanted another drink and I could tell they were talking about us waiting for the rest of our order. Unfortunately we will never be back. read more

A spacious rural and motorcycle bar this place is plenty of televisions and gambling slot machines and is very spacious. Choppers has gotten a new chef and have to say it is officially the worst place to eat in Antioch. The cook served nothing but bland food and fish that looked and tasted like it was rinsed in the sink before coming out. After bringing it up the bill was only halved for uneaten and sent back food. The service was what you'd expect at a bar and grill. The atmosphere was good. Plenty of TVs, a pool table, a large wrap around bar, some tables, and outdoor seating as well. They also have a few slots machines, if that's your thing. It overlooks the channel on the one side. It's been recently updated and looks good. There is motorcycle only parking. However, some dude in a Corvette was parked there, and the owners didn't seem to care. The biggest downfall was the food. I ordered a simple 1/2 lb bacon cheeseburger (medium) with crispy fries. It came out well done. Had it been left on the grill any longer, it would have been a hockey puck. To top it off, or rather not, there was no lettuce, tomato, or onion that came with it. My buddy warned me that the kitchen overcooks the food there, but I thought I'd give it a try. Oops. The pricing was reasonable. $23 for a burger and two beers. So, if you're stopping for just a drink, this place works. If you're looking for food that isn't overcooked, keep on rolling. read more

This is one of my favorite places and I don't say that often. The waitstaff is 80% awesome. A bit of turnover with the younger girls. Management is great. Packed on weekends for breakfast. Basic but good breakfast food. Lunch and dinner menu is great. They always have soup specials that are different and delicious, chicken pot pie, stroganoff, chicken tortilla and more.. Drink specials are good. Food specials each night. Tonight was pizza and after a stressful day I needed their awesomely perfect Long Island Ice-tea.. Ashley and Gwyn gave us speedy, friendly, entertaining service. They were both quick with funny stories and really super nice! I had a crispy chicken sandwich which was quite tasty and moist. It's a breaded chicken breast with lettuce, tomato on a lightly garlic buttered and perfectly toasted kaiser roll. Clean ladies room, clean bar, several televisions, rather good pour. Sometimes you have to take one for the team. There's no other way I can possibly explain what I was doing in Antioch at Choppers on a Saturday night. I had to meet up with some old friends and my friend has the hots for the bassist in a band that was playing at Choppers, so off we went. I knew I was in trouble when the parking lot was overrun with pickup trucks that may or may not have included Confederate flags. Choppers reminds me of being in someone's basement... and not in a good way. There's black and white square ceiling tiles made of that foam type product I'm pretty sure was outlawed in the mid-90s. The linoleum floor is smudged and dingy. The lighting is too bright in some places (namely by the pool table and darts) and way too dark in others (the stage). It's actually kind of depressing. Ambiance woes aside, I decided to woman up and get drunk. My Jack and diet was served up to me in a huge pint glass, so that's good, and only set me back $6, which is great and it was put-some-hair-on-your-chest strong, so that's awesome. I was hoping that the more intoxicated I got, the less snobby I'd become about my surroundings. I was wrong. As the evening progressed, things just got more revolting. The band was terrible. Like, playing Creed, Metallica, Puddle of Mudd and Nickelback bad. In between songs I was hit on by creepy men that included, but were not limited to a dude at least 20 years older than me that actually dropped the N-bomb, a guy in an Ed Hardy shirt and some fool wearing black sweatpants. Racial slurs, Jersey Shore fashion and what could possibly be construed as lounge pants at a bar on a Saturday night? No thanks! One thing is for sure... Make sure you're NOT the designated driver when you come to Choppers. You're going to need a landslide of cocktails to make it through the evening. read more

Doesn't matter how much you are tipping the bartenders for 2 simple domestic bottles of beer or how long you've been waiting, they will still ignore to help unruly regulars SCREAMING for them. Not one group. 3 different groups. I guess that's how they have the wait staffed trained because it's what they respond to. 6pm on a Sunday. Control your patrons, ask them to wait their turn as they are not the only one's in the bar, or to leave. Not to mention that at this time you are still serving food and there were families in their. Not busy enough for staff to be overwhelmed causing bad service. Just too much talking with coworkers and small talk with friends while well behaved customers wait.
