Wow, these were super good! But be warned it a HUGE serving. The brown sugar banana flapjacks were also very good! They decorated the plates with cute sayings written in ketchup or syrup, pineapple wedge and for some reason a sprig of rosemary. May be a little excessive but it was still cute! read more

How do you charge for cocktails without using actual liquor? So we order a glass of wine and the waiter spills it. 2. Our order was messed up when it came out. We ordered our side with no gravy and they added it anyway. 3. But the worst of all is how rushed they made us feel to get us out of there. sat and waited 20 minutes for a server. our server was very rude. we asked for refills after 30 minutes and we asked for her because she was no where to be seen and she came up to the table and said "what guys". they brought one food plate out and waited 10 more minutes for the second so one of us ate as the other watched. Really like this restaurant. Definitely recommend. In a nice area, lovely warm atmosphere inside. Folks there are very happy and helpful (even a singing balloon guy for the kids!). Huge portions. We did brekkie, and serious good omelette. Don't get bothered by the rosemary sprigs, they dress it up. We were a bit put off by having to put a commercial, small cup jelly on such a nice homemade biscuit. Better to have nice homemade jelly option. Stopped here twice for breakfast while visiting Corpus Christi. Portion sizes are enormous, so bring a big appetite with you or be prepared to have leftovers. Our servers on both occasions were friendly and attentive. We were seated promptly on both occasions, and found the wait times for food reasonable. Coffee was fresh, and decent quality. Food was delicious on both occasions. Loved the crispy home fries that came with the eggs Benedict, however the hollandaise sauce could've been better. Im probably biased because I normally make my own at home, but my 12 year old son who got the same thing thought it was amazing. The Nutella stuffed strawberry banana French toast was delicious but I would have preferred fresh strawberries as opposed to the processed strawberry sauce that it was topped with. Disgusting!!! We came here because it's been a while. Now, I see the reason why! I'm giving it two stars only because the waitress was nice- she came to our table what seemed like every two seconds to see if we were okay. I ordered the Jordan's Crab Cake Benedict with a side of bacon. The husband ordered a Fajita Omelet with no onions. First, this lady comes to the table near us. Puts the bacon on the table and says you had the crab Benedict and the omelette and they both respond "no". So then, she's walking around with the food going to every table asking if that was their food. From across multiple tables she yells at my husband and I "what did you order". The restaurant is loud and I had to yell back at her because she was too lazy to simply walk up to us and ask. My food had already been out going table to table- strike one lol. I get my food- it's lukewarm- my plate is dirty and my side dish of bacon is dirty: like the actual bacon was dirty with crumbs and jelly. My food had neither! My husbands plate is dirty. His omelette the one he ordered with NO ONIONS- is covered in onions. It's like they heard the complete opposite of his ordered. Now it's easy to say we should have sent the food back. But for what? For them to microwave my food and pick the onions off of his food.? Don't get me started on the silverware- our stuff was filthy, cups were dirty and I was done! I lost my appetite- paid and left! My daughter, husband and I went to Chops & Eggs for dinner last night. I gave 2 stars bc the appetizer, calamari was pretty good. Not the best, but definitely not the worse. My daughter ordered an omelet and it had no flavor. I'm not even sure they used salt to season. It also had very little cheese. With her omelet she got sausage and bacon, they were dry and over cooked as if they have been sitting out and then microwaved. My husband got a Chicken Fried Steak dinner, he too didn't think it had any seasoning. The gravy was gelatinous and needed a lot of salt and pepper. It came with decent mash potatoes but the asparagus that came was limp, over cooked and very small. My Chicken fried chicken was very dry and lacked seasoning. I couldn't taste the sage at all. I got hash browns instead of mash potatoes, those were the best thing on the table. I also received the dead asparagus. It was so disappointing bc we spent almost a hundred dollars on sub par and boring food. We had waters and one tea. We have no problems spending that kind of money at places that are good. We continue to wait not 2+ hours management staff Shelly Ibarra thought it was appropriate to use profanity towards a lobby full of guests waiting to come. Management should be dressed professional, hair, face, attire & attitude. I am very disappointed in the management here. I have been here multiple times, but I haven't tried a ton of items here because the items i have tried are so good! Jordan's sage fried chicken: 9/10 It comes with a large piece of chicken (extra crispy, yet perfect!), a homemade biscuit, your choice of eggs, fried potatoes, gravy, and a piece of fruit. Teriyaki beef tips: 10/10 Large portion of mash potatoes, beef tips cooked in a teriyaki sauce with onions and mushroom, and a side of fresh veggies-- asparagus. (The only disappointment is their "fresh veggie" is literally 3-4 extremely skinny strands of asparagus. Wish there was less potatoes and more veggies. Other than that, it's delicious! Packed with flavor!) Waffles with Nutella and bananas: 8/10 Waffles, Nutella, and bananas with whip cream. I get it without whip cream. Their waffle batter is so good! Mac & cheese: 10/10 I have not personally tried it, but my 3 and 6 year old get it every time. From what I see, it's homemade, fresh, and extremely cheesy. T-bone steak and eggs: 8/10 3 eggs cooked to your desire, crispy potatoes, fruit, homemade biscuit. The steak is packed with flavor, but is thinly cut. Potatoes are crispy and seasoned well. Delicious! Tried for the first time this evening with my family and we all got very different things and were very happy. We chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, the spinach and mushroom omlette (best dish in my opinion), pork chop and eggs, and the tilapia. This is a must try in Corpus! So apparently someone thinks that slapping some rosemary on everything makes it fancy, OR, they must have gotten a heck of a deal on a bulk-buy..... ? Food was average at best and quite pricy for what it is. And, for a place called CHOPS and Eggs, you would imagine that the CHOPS would be substantial in size. Nope, mine was paper thin and extremely overcooked. Still not sure why folks line up in droves for this place. Only thing I can think of is that if you open a restaurant on the south side, no matter how bad it is, folks are going to flock to it to to be in the "in crowd". I will not be back.
