With a 6:30 reservation on a Tuesday evening, the 4 of us were seated quickly and our server arrived right away. They were offering $30 off a bottle of wine, so we chose a nice Pinot Noir and were very happy with it. The decor is very classy, with subtle lighting and booths and tables. The menu is extensive, with numerous accompaniments and sides. My husband and I decided to share the potsticker appetizer and I opted for the braised short ribs for my entree. We were provided fresh bread, which was excellent. Our potstickers arrived looking wonderful and the flavors were great. I loved that we didn't feel rushed and got to enjoy our drinks, and then appetizers before our entree arrived. My short ribs were amazing. They were fall off the bone tender and the sauce on them was stupendous. I rarely finish my meal, but this one I did, and loved every bite. Service was great the entire time we were there. Definitely worth returning.

A friend from the area introduced us to this restaurant a couple of months ago and we have come back 4 times already for the spectacular food and generous 40% off. I had ordered bone in ribeye, filet Mignon, all the Filet Waygu as well as the Australian Waygu strip. I have enjoyed them all, always good. Their sides are not too big but can served 2 people. The services here has always been great, last time our server was Sergio and he made a few suggestions and they all were on point! I'll be back next year when the offer is back...

It's my fav dinner spot in Naples. In Feb - able to sit outside in the extremely comfortable chairs and enjoy spectacular food, fabulous service & great friends it's hard to beat....except we had to wait ~ 45 min after our reservation to be seated. The bar is a nice place to wait & service is awesome on a super crowded night. Others in same boat as us so conversations were friendly and easy w almost everyone respectful about the wait. When we finally sat we were amazed at how comfortable the seats were and how much fun it was to sit by the street & sidewalk. Service was as special and we never waited for anything. We shared the coffee crusted pork chop (spectacular), the grouper (perfectly cooked) and a large steak (excellent). Wonderful evening and can't wait to return.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary dinner at Chops & had such a lovely night!! Food First we received a warm basket of bread with the most delicious butter with flaky salt & a garlic infused oil (would literally go back for this alone). Then we ordered a bottle of wine to split, along with the fresh market salad & the dyn-oh-mite sushi roll (tuna roll). The salad was a bit smaller than expected but incredibly flavors. The sushi roll was fabulous & we ordered a little side of the honey sriracha to go with which was the perfect spicy touch! For dinner we decided on two entrees -- The wagyu top sirloin & the sliced wagyu tri tip. Both were great dishes & the perfect size. The sides that accompanied the meat were great & the sauces were incredible. Service We had an amazing waiter, Aaron, take care of us. He was absolutely incredible, starting off with his recommendations, explanations, and patience as weren't in any rush and wanted to enjoy our night! We went on a Wednesday night & the restaurant was quite busy, but not too loud, and definitely not slow at all with the volume. Everything came out with perfect timing between courses, hot & delish. Aaron definitely made our night with his service & overall kindness! Ambiance The restaurant doesn't give your typical light/airy Florida vibes, but rather a darker, more romantic feel which we loved for the occasion. The decor was rich & lavash and definitely gave the fine dining experience. A little side note, the bathrooms were incredibly clean & well stocked.

Unimpressed with this fine dining experience The food: The the porter house steak was excellent and the filet side was like butter. The sides such as the potatoes a gratin were delicious and the corn brûlée was pretty good but not amazing. The chocolate mouse for dessert was very light and fluffy and the complimentary sour dough bread and butter definitely hit the spot. Let's talk about the service: subpar. # 1. No small forks for the oysters . #2 our waiter cleaned and wiped off our table with his bare hands... 3. Left dirty empty plates at our table 4. I had to pour my own water... literally came over once to place sparkling water in my glass. 4. Suggested the filet instead of the porter house when the porter house was way more tender but less expensive then us buying one Porter house and a 10 ounce filet . We would have ordered the porter house for 2 as I originally wanted but was convinced the filet was better by our waiter. Wrong! The porter house was spectacular. When I brought it up to our waiter he said nothing. I would expect at this caliber of restaurant for the service to be impeccable. I was beyond disappointed. We didn't even receive suggestions on wine pairings with our entree. Didn't seem to have a sommelier on site. Ambiance: sophisticated/ old charm If it wasn't for the service I would have given it a 5 stars I don't think our server/ waiter had any experience working at a fine dining restaurant or Chops doesn't spend the time or money to train their employees appropriately. At Sails the service is impeccable. Etiquette- when a lady goes to sit in a chair... the seat is to be pulled away and the napkin goes on her lap- this was not performed I'm not pretentious... it's fine dining etiquette.

Incredible food, service, and wine. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend sitting in one of the booths. The summer menu is 3 courses for $49! 30% off all wine bottles as well.

It is always a good night at Chops! I have been here several times and whether I'm grabbing drinks and apps at the bar or sitting down to a meal, always receive attentive friendly service. The crab cake is a standout, as well as the filet, truffle fries, and jalepeno cheesy potatoes. I love the people watching at this 5th ave location as well.

Our server Mike, did an excellent job taking care of us. We started off with a couple cocktails. I had an Old Fashioned and my wife had the Not Bogged Down. For dinner I had the Chorizo Encrusted Red Snapper and my wife had one of the specials which was the Tripletail. She said it was the best seafood dish she has ever had. For dessert, we split the special Crème Brûlée topped with diced fruit. We enjoyed the dessert so much, we purchased one for a sweet family of four sitting next to us. It's becoming more rare to visit a restaurant that feels like someone's singular vision for a neighborhood or community (instead of a corporate venture). This place is unique & elegant but approachable & welcoming. Highly recommend.

Amazing service and delicious food…read more My friends and I went to The Local before a movie at the Regal movie theater nearby. We were seated in a comfortable booth, and the overall ambiance was so lovely with high ceilings. We got there in time to enjoy a happy hour dinner menu. I ordered the Pork Ragu over Gnocchi as featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." It was so yummy! And the portion was very generous. Service was also very friendly and helpful. We had a great server. I'll definitely return when I'm back in the area.

Naturally smoked turkey with brie, pesto mayo, and tomato jam on gluten free bread, served with a fresh Caesar salad. Pretty good sandwich. The turkey was flavorful, the bread held up nicely, and the salad was crisp with a good coating of parmesan. Decent value for what you get. My wife ordered the fish tacos, which came with a side salad topped with blue cheese crumbles and red onion. The presentation looked great with nice char on the fish, fresh pico, and shredded cabbage piled high. But the execution fell short. The fish itself was chewy and not very tender. That's a problem when fish tacos are one of your popular dishes. On the bright side, our waitress was nice and attentive. No complaints on the service front. The cozy atmosphere lives up to the farm to table vibe they're going for. The Verdict: The Local delivers a decent lunch with good service and fresh ingredients. My smoked turkey sandwich hit the spot, but those fish tacos need work. Four stars for a solid overall experience, but maybe skip the tacos next time.

The drinks were creative and tasty, and while the wine list is short, it is very well curated. We started with the octopus, the bread and butter, and the mushrooms as appetizers. All three were excellent, but the octopus was the clear standout. I had never seen it served in that particular style before. It was a completely new preparation for me and absolutely delicious. The bread and butter was also finger licking good. For my main course, I ordered the cod gnocchi. I am still thinking about this dish three days later because the flavors and textures were so unusual and memorable. To finish the meal, we shared the chocolate tart and the tiramisu bread pudding. Both were delicious, though they did not feel quite as uniquely extraordinary as every other bite and sip we had throughout the night. One of our party members is gluten and dairy free, and our waitress was incredibly helpful in navigating the menu for her. She was thrilled with the shrimp from the daily specials menu. My only minor critique is that I wish they had a dessert option that would have worked for her dietary restrictions. Overall, this was a fantastic meal with top tier service.

The service was friendly throughout the meal, but everything moved surprisingly slowly, from ordering to receiving the food. We tried the salad, burger, and lamb kebabs. The salad and burger were decent but nothing particularly memorable. The lamb kebabs were unfortunately the biggest disappointment of the meal. They were quite salty and the meat was much tougher than expected, making them difficult to enjoy. Overall, the restaurant makes a good first impression with its ambiance and welcoming service, but the food did not quite match the setting. While the experience wasn't terrible, I'm not sure there was enough to make me eager for a second visit.

But sometimes simple done right is all you need. The wings were on point, the beers were cold, and the vibes were immaculate. Great music, laid-back atmosphere, the kind of spot where you walk in stressed and walk out smiling. And then there's Tina. She waited on us again, and honestly, she's a big part of why we keep coming back. Always awesome, always on top of it, makes you feel like a regular even if you're not. Good service elevates a good meal into a great experience, and Tina delivers every time. Here's my only complaint: I wish there was one closer to Fort Myers. We'd be here all the time if it wasn't a trek. And honestly? This concept would crush it as a larger restaurant with a full bar. Palm Beach Boulevard is seriously lacking in quality restaurant options, Backyard Fire Grill would absolutely dominate that area. Just putting that out into the universe. Someone make it happen. The Verdict: Wings, beers, great vibes, and Tina taking care of us, another five-star visit to Backyard Fire Grill. This place has the formula dialed in. Major shout-out to Ashley behind the bar -- absolute pro -- though honestly the entire bar staff deserves applause. Watching the bartenders run the room is like watching a choreographed ballet. They somehow keep a mental spreadsheet of the waitlist, open seats, timing, and guest flow, seamlessly slotting people in without chaos or drama. It's impressive, calm, and clearly run by people who know exactly what they're doing. Now, to the inevitable dog commentary: yes, restaurants have rules. Yes, health codes exist. And no, a dog in a baby stroller is not a service animal. That stroller should be reserved for, stay with me here, babies. Leave your dog at home for two hours. It will survive. So will you.
