    Buenos Aires Salad

Choripan Rodizio 10 Sussex St. Hackensack, NJ 07601 Empanadas Buenos Aires Salad Argentinian Grill for Two Grilled Sea Food With Lobster Seafood Mix With Rice Appearance: 10/10 Taste: 8.1/10 Located on Sussex St near the Bergen County Courthouse is an Argentinian specialty restaurant. Owner Pablo and his staff introduced me to five of the most popular items on the menu. Empanadas: These Argentinian turnovers come in five flavors: Beef, Chicken, Caprese, Spinach, Ham & Cheese. Have one or have them all; the choice is yours! Buenos Aires Salad: This may be an appetizer, but this salad practically eats like a meal. My favorite toppings were the avocado and shrimp. I don't have an acquired taste for hard boiled eggs; but everything else was perfect. Argentinian Grill for Two: Although this barbecue is meant for two, it can easily serve three people. This carnivorous entrée is filled with all of your favorite proteins including skirt steak, blood sausage, Argentinian sausage, and beef ribs. All meats are cooked with wooden charcoal so it has that authentic hint of wooden flavor. As a bonus, this entrée is served on a table grill with charcoal. Grilled Sea Food With Lobster: You won't need to travel down the shore for seafood when you explore this dish. It has all of your favorite dishes from under the sea. Seafood Mix With Rice: Here is a variation of the previous entrée except everything is served over a heaping pile of yellow rice. If you are fan of soccer, this is definitely a perfect hang out spot. The walls are adorned with beautiful wall art and souvenirs praising the highly appreciated international sport. It was a pleasure exploring Argentinian cuisine in this fine dining establishment. #choripan #choripanrodizio #hackensacknj #seafoodmix #grilledseafood #argentiniangrill #empanadas #buenosairessalad #foodstagram #njfoodie #localbusiness

Had high hopes for the all you can eat rodizio for a weekend lunch. I figured dinner would be very busy with a wait, so for my first time I came during lunch. Being the restaurant is less busy at lunch, therefore less AYCE being ordered, the beef cuts were mostly overcooked and tough. It seemed as though they were reheated and burnt to a crisp. Even the pieces with pink in the middle were hard to cut (but had good flavor). Overall, I was disappointed by the beef and was unable to finish what was on my plate. The chicken, sausage, and turkey were the best cuts on my visit. The mashed potatoes, fries, salad and beans/rice were all tasty enough sides. For $60 a person, it was not worth it for me. I would suggest lowering the price for AYCE during lunchtime. I probably should have ordered a meat platter instead. The redeeming items were the very tender grilled octopus app and the desserts - flan and tres leches. Loved the little dollop of dulce de leches on top.

What a celebration! Attended this place to celebrate my parents 36th anniversary and I will say they do a great job with groups and celebrations. As other reviews have stated they do well with menu options for groups as well. This is a BYOB establishment which is always nice because you can bring in something you might enjoy with your meal. Beware on weekends parking will often be a little more challenging as it is street parking. Once you are in be ready for a fun environment as they do fun celebrations with lights, music, and bubbles for birthdays and special occasions. I would say if this is not for a more quiet intimate night. We enjoyed our meal as I started with the empanada de carne which did the job and had a nice crunchy flaky crust at a good value. We decided to do the Choripan Americano for 2 and remember when ordering steak never order past medium you lose flavor trust me. We enjoyed it but my parents who are vets say the seafood version is superb. My parents got a nice celebration as well and we loved the balcarce as a great Argentinian dessert that's light and fluffy. Overall, excited to come to this place when in town.

Choripan Rodizio Too probably deserves a higher rating for groups than for lone wolves, both in mood and menu. For example, the combos for three people look great but no such option is available for singles. You can tell the food will be great by the smoke aroma down the block. I got a ribeye, medium-well. It was expertly prepared, superbly juicy and had just the right amount of seasoning. The chimichurri was a powerful concoction.

Received the most over cooked ribs ever. Bad service and unfriendly staff. Meat wasn't seasoned at all and Salad wasn't fresh

Absolutely wonderful food! I was unexpectedly delayed for a flight and stayed overnight, nearby this restaurant and decided to give it a try for dinner. The portions are plentiful, and the cooking is absolutely stellar! The meats were all cooked very well and were not overly seasoned or salty. I ordered the red meat family-sized platter of delicious meats. A nearby table ordered the seafood version and they let me take this photo to share with you! I enjoyed the restaurant environment and the seating. While the restaurant was busy, and most of the tables were full, it was not overly loud or crowded. The server checked on the meal and insured that all was well with the dining experience.

I came here as it was recommended by a close friend. This Rodizio spot did not disappoint! The steaks and chicken are cooked with great flavor and it was tender as well! They have options where you can get food for 2! There is plenty- such as chicken, steak, and sausage. You also get two sides added to your Rodizio. The staff was very friendly. They checked back a couple of times to make sure everything's good.

Do they had rodizo during the weekends? If so what are the prices?

I remember they had Rodizio last June on a Sunday. Prices are ok, but not cheap. The meats were delicious though.

Is it BYOB? The Yelp page says "No Alcohol" but it's greyed out. Not sure what that means.

The one in Hackensack, NJ allows you to bring your own booze. We took a bottle of wine to that and all was well. Enjoy!

Do you have gluten free items? Rodizio at lunch?

Yes they have Rodizio at lunch.

    Do they deliver to Hackensack?

    Yes

Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.

Life really came full circle when I got to bring my 10-month-old son here, and he loved everything . The food is always so fresh and full of flavorful. The morcilla is rich , creamy and perfectly seasoned( they make the best morcilla I age ever had) and the empanadas are my absolute favorite with their flaky golden crust and authentic homemade taste. The meats and sides are just as incredible. The Russian potato salad is creamy and refreshing, the potato with parsley has that perfect balance of simplicity and freshness, and every bite of meat is tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The chimichurri ties it all together with bright garlic and herbs that make every dish pop. Thank you for staying consistent all these years. The food is always seasoned perfectly and made with care. The owner, Carolina, was warm and charming as was the waitress, Amira, who provided great service. We started with Argentine beef empanadas as a starter. Both dishes were generous in portion and full of flavor, just the kind of hearty, home-style fare I love from Argentine cafés. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. The café itself has a welcoming, local feel, and visiting on a weekday kept things peaceful. I learned they offer fresh Argentine pastries on weekends, which sounds like a perfect reason for a return visit soon. From the moment we arrived, the service felt off. The host was rude and dismissive, We were told rather abruptly that we couldn't be seated until our exact reservation time, even though it was the beginning of dinner service and much of the dining room was empty. Given the celebratory atmosphere after Argentina's semifinal win, I expected a much warmer welcome. Our first server was pleasant, but she lacked attention to detail. We had to ask for water, weren't offered any menu recommendations, and there wasn't much guidance through the menu. Our appetizers also arrived cold. We ordered the parrillada for two, and I ordered a 12oz churrasco with the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes The parrillada was bland only one or two items really stood out. The rest lacked flavor and proper preparation. I've also had much better churrasco elsewhere. Unfortunately, the cocktails were underwhelming as well. Midway through the meal, another server took over, but he never checked on us, refilled our waters, offered dessert, or asked how everything was. We eventually had to flag him down just to get the check. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the Midtown location is fantastic, which makes the overall experience even more disappointing given it was a weekday and not busy. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because they're still relatively new, but both the food and the service fell well below expectations.
