We went there yesterday for lunch. Since it was only around noon time, we opted to have a few appetizers as our meal rather than ordering the rodizio. Based on the lunch experience I cannot wait to go back for the rodizio. We saw a few diners around us having it and I sat there in awe of how they had room to eat all that meat so early in the day. I also sat there in awe of how good it looked and smelled--it is cooked over a wood fired oven. For his lunch my friend ordered the Matambre Arollado. For an appetizer dish, this was pretty large. He raved about the potato salad as well as the meat it accompanied. For his other dish, he had shrimp in garlic sauce. I know he loved it because he kept sopping up the garlic sauce with his bread. I ordered a Chorizio Argentino and it was an extremely tasty piece of meat. For my other dish I decided to be a little more adventurous and had the 1/2 order of the Chinchulines or Beef Intestine. It was very well seasoned and nice and crispy with an outstanding char on the outside. The inside was a bit of a mystery based on the cow's last meal, but their chimichurri sauce, probably the best I have ever had, made it that much more edible and enjoyable. The sauce was so good that I told the owner he should bottle it and sell it. Our server was also terrific. I look forward to going back again! read more

I wanted steak and didn't want to cook my own. So we decided to hit up this place. You can smell the grilling from your car if you drive anywhere in downtown Hackensack. The steak was cooked to perfection. A little crispy on the outside and beautifully cooked and juicy on the inside. I've never eaten Argentinian food.... and I cannot explain why. One best bosses I've ever had is Argentinian and introduced me to the wine.... so I have no explanation as to why I've never had their cuisine. I'm so glad I followed instinct and the great reviews on Yelp to check it out. I had salmon, spinach and mashes. HEAVEN! Dessert was well packed and make it safely home without any spills. However the first bite I took was the last bite because it tasted like freezer burn. It seemed like their cake was frozen and defrost before topping with whipped cream. Or maybe the dessert was sitting in the fridge for too long. We were in the mood for some barbecue, so we thought - why not try out this Argentinian place I had bookmarked? So we placed in order via Grub Hub. We were quoted a wait time of 25 minutes, and even got a confirmation that our order was ready for pick up. But when we got there, they said they didn't receive anything - so we had to wait another 20 minutes for them to prep our order. A little annoying, so I would probably just call ahead next time. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smoked meat smell and you see all the smokers out in front, so you know it's going to be good barbecue. We ordered the Parillada Americana (skirt steak, flap steak, pork loin, Italian sausage, short ribs and chicken). This comes with two sides so we went with the rice and beans, and french fries. We had no idea what a massive amount of food this was. For two people, we had enough for three meals EACH, so one of these platters could easily serve six people. My favorites were the skirt steak, short ribs (not chewy AT ALL like short ribs tend to be a lot of the times), and the Italian sausage - which I'm pretty sure was chorizo. I wasn't mad at it though because I prefer chorizo anyway. Pork loin was a tad dry. The food comes with some chimichurri sauce (just okay), and some orange dipping sauce. I'm still not sure how I feel about it because it was very vinegary. I think they use the same sauce in the rice and beans, which is why I probably thought that also just meh. I just saw that they have a Parillada Argentina (beef ribs, skirt steak, flap steak, sausage, blood sausage, sweetbread, and beef intestines). Had I known, I would have ordered this one instead! This place was one word: fantastic. I came with a group the other day, and I tell you we ate everything... From the bread offered, to wonderful beef empanadas, to the main dish of wonderful churrasco and side dishes. Everything was on point. So much YES!!!!!! So glad I tried this place. Truly an amazing experience all around. For starters, during the pandemic it was great since we went on a Monday for dinner and it was nearly empty. Our waiter was amazing! Not sure his name I know he was Ecuadorian and he was the sweetest!! He was patient and honest and helped us navigate the menu. Our food was.......CHEF'S KISS!!!!* The calamari and octopus we got to share was delicious! Then the meat parillada was insanely good! Perfectly cooked and the sauces they gave where amazing! We went in the old location and were so happy to see it again in our recent trip to NJ. When I posted my pics on Facebook and Instagram, everyone asked me about it and wanted to learn more. I studied in Argentina in 1999 and never get to have authentic Argentinian food. I was so happy to be able to have the delicious food again that I loved and missed so much. We all ordered beef empanadas, which were traditional Argentinian style with beef, green olives and egg. Then we shared the American meat plate. They say only 2 people can eat on it, but 4 people could easily eat on it. We loved the steak, short ribs and especially the chorizo which was unreal. The food here is amazing. Only thing I can nitpick is that the prices went up 25% the past 2 mos or so. Which I find a bit annoying. However it's still not crazy expensive. The meats though my goodness it was delicious. The sides were good but all in all this is a place you have to try. Waited about 20 mins for the food. Didn't eat in their outside dining it was too hot the day we went about 1 month ago. I will definitely be going back.The platter was $50 and the dessert was $7 or so. Came out to over $60. Ok. First off this review is two fold. Number one. The place is great. Food is fantastic and honestly the best chicken I have ever had in my life. To experience the food and the rodizio is a fine idea even though there are better places in the immediate area. However the review is mainly about Gustavo. Gustavo is quite possibly the most arrogant and non attentive server possible. He single handingly ruined the experience for my family. The restaurant missed out on more money as well as we were never asked if we would like more sangria (which we did) or dessert. Nice place overall, atmosphere is nothing special, but service is better at your local IHOP. It is a shame. read more

Honestly - for me it doesn't have to have a Michelin star to receive a five star rating. What I require mostly is great customer service, delicious food and a good ambiance. I received all three at Choripan Rodizio Too. We walked in early Sunday afternoon Well, let me backtrack - we were on our way in when we remembered it was BYOB once we saw a couple carrying their bottle in, so we retreated to our car and zipped over to the nearest liquor store for a bottle of wine. Then we came back ready to dine. Parking can be iffy, but we were able to find parking like a block away on State Street. Took maybe three minutes to walk to the restaurant from the parking spot. It was metered parking but free on Sunday. There was also parking near the restaurant but all the spots were taken. It was pretty lively and busy when we walked in, however we were pleasantly greeted immediately and then taken to our table. There were a lot of patrons- couples, families, just a variety of folks enjoying what looked like really good food. It's somewhat casual, the TV's were playing soccer games, but aesthetically pleasing in an industrial chic kind of way. Once seated, a basket of warm crusty bread and butter was brought to the table. Not a big bread eater but we scarfed it down. It was delicious! Now the food was also absolutely delicious. I can't believe I ate so much but it was so tasty. We ordered the Parillada Americana which was different cuts of grilled/smoked beef, chicken, sausage and pork I believe. It was served still sizzling on a platter and it was $40 for 2 people. An absolute great bargain. Instead of the pork and sausage we opted for more of the other cuts, whatever they decided, and they had no problem with that. The meats were soooo tasty. We ordered the beef medium and it was cooked to perfection. We ordered mashed potatoes and spinach sauteed with garlic as our sides. We also ordered a bottle of Pellegrino although they are happy to serve tap water over ice. I will definitely return and I highly recommend this restaurant to others. Can't believe it took so long for us to visit this spot which is right in our area. Don't forget to bring a bottle of wine or beer or whatever alcoholic beverage you prefer to have with your dinner! I don't remember what made me finally try it out (probably hunger and the smells whenever you drive by) but I am so glad I did! My friend and I visited on a weekday for dinner and were seated swiftly. The space is decently sized and well decorated. We were brought waters and their bread with some kind of dipping sauce (omg sooooo good). We already knew what we wanted since we looked over their menu on the way so ordering was easy breezy! We opted for their Parillada Americana which comes with a mountain of meats - chicken, sausage, pork loin, short ribs, skirt steak, WOOO! It also comes with two sides and we opted for their salad and rice and beans. Everything was delicious. The meats were cooked to perfection - so juicy and flavorful! The sides were also tasty! My friend can eat - I mean EAT but we left with so much food for the next day. The service was okay. Prompt and courteous. Last night a friend and I decided to meet here for an early dinner and I'm glad we did. It was incredible! I brought a bottle of Argentinian wine with us to accompany the food, and after we were seated they opened and poured the wine for us immediately. The menu looked good and we figured we'd try the Parrillada Americana, a delightful mix of chicken, steak and sausage. I swear there was enough there for 6 people, let alone two! We were told to pick two sides to go with it, so we chose rice & beans and a salad. The meats were nicely done without being overcooked. Everyone in the place was pleasant and helpful, and we cheered along with the various birthday celebrations happening in the place. We brought home tons of leftovers. My daughter and I had some tonight for dinner, and there's still enough for lunch or dinner tomorrow! Give this place a try, you'll love it. Enjoyed a nice early birthday dinner here tonight. Food was 5/5. I chose the rodizio option and tried the ensalada rusa (potato salad), arroz y frijoles (rice and beans), and spinach sides, as well as flan for dessert. My sister also got the parrillada americana which is described as a meat platter for 2 people but it was enough for 4 people. For the rodizio, the meats came out pretty quickly and consistently. All of the servers were very friendly as well. I subtract one star because I wish the tables weren't so close together. I went on a Friday night and the place was packed and loud which made it hard to listen to what others at my table were saying at times. Parking is very limited in the back of the restaurant but there is also street parking available. I've been here twice and I've enjoyed the food experience both times. The atmosphere is pretty loud so it doesn't allow for much conversation time like typical restaurants can. On my first visit, my boyfriend and I were kicking off our Alphabet International Cuisine adventure. A for Argentinian was up first. I had researched the restaurant and knew I wanted to order the Parillada Americana, the Parillada Argentina was definitely going to be too adventurous for me. We started with fried calamari which was fried light. It was tasty but, not the best. The two sides we ordered with the Parillada mix were rice and beans with fries. The rice and beans were delicious and I would come back just for that. The Parillada Americana was delicious and amazingly tender, I was surprised. Each piece of meat melted in my mouth. I knew I had to come back. On my second visit, I brought my parents and nephew. We ordered all of the same things as the first time plus a chicken meal for my mom and a kid's meal for my nephew. Went here with the family after a movie at challenger road. We tried ordering a mix grill Americana, garlic shrimp and a salad. I was with my 110 pound wife, and my 10 and 14 year old daughters. The waiter informed they would charge me an additional $50 for ordering the mixed grill for 2, a shrimp app and salad so we might as well get 2 mixed grills. That's a meal for 2 a salad and an app. So technically that's got everyone covered. I told him we would leave then, since we just came from the movies and my kids and wife don't eat that much.
