They had televisions but they were not on because from what we were told the establishment did not pay the cable bill. The whole place has graffiti writing of past patrons that could write on the wall. The music selection was a 5 out of 5 rating. Playing R&b sounds. They had a bar but only had beer and wine. The establishment does not want to get the liquor license. The menu had plenty of options and we both chose the #5 combo which was the Whiting Fish , Whole Wings, Fries, Cole slaw and a slice of bread all for $12.95! The food had lemon seasoning and the food was a 5 out of 5 rating! But the coleslaw was a 1 out of 5. This establishment have a good product but I feel like they not doing all they can to keep people to come and dine in. 3 out of 5 rating for not having the television bill paid, not getting the liquor license to bring more money to the place. OMG! I use to be in love wi the juicy crab, but after experiencing this place.... I NEED to go back! They're good had sooo much flavor! I ordered crab legs with shrimp snd it comes with corn, 2 potatoes, and sausage. If I were you, I'd order extra potatoes, they're so great! The corn is amazing, the sauce is amazing, everything is just amazing! My boyfriend got crawfish instead of crab legs and he loved it too! I personally have not dined in for months but if you're interested you may want to call ahead. I order the same almost every time: Half lb Snow crab legs Half lb shrimp. Good menu and prices but the fried shrimp this last time in March 2024 was rubbery. And overall unremarkable. Fried okra did not transport well. Steamed up In the container and was mushy by the time we got it home. Tried to re-crisp it in convection oven at home which it did but the breading then revealed it was overly thick and tasteless. Walked in on the 4th day after the grand opening. The interior is wooded style and flawless! I really was feeling the ambiance and vibes the place was giving. There were plenty of tables and booths. No full bar tho Food was average price. I really liked the mix of garlic butter and Cajun. However the spice levels need work. Extra hot was not spicy at all!!!! Food came out warm and got cold QUICKKKK, the potatoes was even still cold on the inside. Bummer. I really liked the shrimp and dungeness. Snow crab legs were hard to get out like maybe old ?? I don't know if it's because of the pandemic, but this place REALLY disappointed me. It's super close to my house so I decided to try it out and I have been to about 5-6 other local seafood boil places previously. I ordered 1lb no-head shrimp with fries. I'll just say that the main thing that disappointed me was the sauce. It was extremely watery, and had no substance at all. The sauce didn't stick at all onto the shrimp, or other ingredients - even after peeling and re-dipping. Therefore each bite lacked any discernable flavor. The "hot" was also something I would not consider spicy. It was just so mediocre compared to other places like Capt Loui in Duluth (no association to them). Moving onto the fries, just take a look at the attached picture. Absolute sh*z. I can't leave a review without mentioning some of the positives. The amount of half potatoes (3) were included with my meal is more than other places I've been (2). They also include a lot of utensils like plastic bib and gloves. They also had sausages in there, which was a nice touch. The shrimp itself was cooked well and didn't have any issues. Anyhow, I would give this place around a 5.5/10. I don't understand the other rave reviews - maybe they haven't been anywhere else and this is all they know. So, I've come in many times over the past year or so but I just realized last night that I have yet to write a review. I think, deep down inside, I haven't done so because I want to keep this place a secret. Anyone that truly knows me knows I seafood. Like, I am willing to sacrifice my first born for great seafood. The seafood boil is consistently fresh and consistently delicious. The price recently went up a bit on the combo for 2 but at $66, it's still a great deal. Especially for the freshness. The combo for 2 includes 1lb each of shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, and snow crab legs (read 2 clusters). Throw in a few corn and potatoes and a few slices of sausage and it's a wrap! I've tried a couple of the appetizers but they're typical fried items, nothing special and noteworthy. I will say, however, service is spotty. Sometimes, it's on point and other times, I want to just walk in the kitchen and serve myself. But whatever. The food makes up for it. In a nutshell, DON'T COME HERE. I wasn't lucky enough to get one in my immediate area, but The Juicy Crawfish is an excellent replacement for your seafood, boil pleasures. You get really nice portions and the food is seasoned just right. I can never finish the entire meal. So far I have tried the fried shrimp basket (8Lg. Shrimp & fries) and the No. 1 super combo, which is 0.5 pound shrimp (no head), 0.5 pound snow crab leg, two eggs, one corn, two potatoes, 0.25 pound sausage. I had my boil with the juicy special seasoning and medium spice level, which was a perfect balance; just right spicy, but not overwhelmingly spicy. My preferred way of eating seafood is just steamed or boiled with some salt and pepper, so I can really taste the natural flavor. I came here with my dad and we ordered the Juicy Crawfish Seafood Boil Combo for Two ($65) which comes with 1lb of each snow crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels, corn, and potatoes. We asked for the sauce on the side and for the food to be served on a plate instead of a plastic bag, which they happily accommodated! The sauces we chose were the Cajun and Special. It didn't take long for the food to come out in all it's glory. We both tried dipping in the sauces and it wasn't for us - too much butter and seasonings that we couldn't even taste the seafood itself. The food was good though and it's a good amount for the price you pay, however definitely not comparable to fresh seafood from the boat (understandably). My favorite was the snow crab. The shrimp was sweet and crawfish, clams, and mussels were all yummy. The corn, potatoes, and sausages were ok but definitely wasn't the main star of the meal. We still ate it though because food lol. My first seafood boil was a fun experience, complete with the bib and the shell bucket. Since I prefer it sauce-less, I think that defeated the purpose of coming to a restaurant like this versus just buying and cooking it myself. Long story short, I ordered the combo with one cluster of crab legs, potato and corn - got the special sauce, which is a mixture of Cajun, garlic butter and lemon pepper. The sauce is what makes the experience a good one when it comes to dipping seafood, in my opinion. There's is disgusting! It tasted nothing like the flavors listed. It was so bland and the color was unpleasant to the eye (it was a dark yellow and a little on the watery side). It didn't taste the freshest either. The best thing in the bag was the corn. Yay! Pretty average seafood broil spot. We went during dinner time and got seated right away. It wasn't packed at all! They have a nice bar, and in the appetizers section, all the usual appetizers you would normally see at a seafood spot. You can do either combos or pick your seafood for your broil, then you pick your seasoning and spice level. I tried their special seasoning, and it wasn't bad at all. The service was good. I think our servers did good. My only complaint is that there were flies and fruit flies flying around us when we ate. I even found a fruit fly that fell into my cup of wine. Wow I think I've found a restaurant who replaces my usual favorite, The Juicy Crab. My main reason for liking it more is because it wasn't insanely packed!! The menu is extremely similar. What's crazy is that the combination seasoning (all available flavors) lacked a lot of flavor and could have used a ton more garlic. This place is great! I was a little nervous when I arrived because the location doesn't look like much from the outside BUT you know what they say "Don't judge a book by its cover".
