This is Chris's place. Last Friday night, a friend of mine and I stopped here to check out some music and grab a bite to eat. As always, the music was very good, well this night the fish dinner was very good. Chris has a pretty wide menu which should be able to satisfy what you're hungry for. From sandwiches to dinners, appetizers to salads, the menu is pretty vast. Looked over the menu and decided a broiled fish dinner would satisfy my hunger. It did. The fish dinner comes one of two ways, fried or boiled. When given the option I always choose broil. You also get a couple choices of sides. My sides were coleslaw and a salad. I thought the coleslaw was absolutely excellent. The portion was decent and the freshness and flavor were really good. Bill side salad was a bit small, it was terrific. Also, terrific was the Italian dressing on top. You might consider a place like this to be basically "pub food". This is a slight step above. read more

I got the buffalo chicken salad. It was amazing service could've been a little faster, but otherwise it was amazing.

Thursdays "party on the patio" at Pastas is a crowd favorite. Great local bands play usually from 6-9. Pastas also has started having bands play on other nights as well. Just thought I would add this bit of info to " Where Syracuse Eats ! It's noteworthy! On to the food..... So our group decided on pizza and wings. The three orders of wings we ordered were medium, hot, and gold rush. All chargrilled. All were crispy and had good flavors. Some of you will look at the pics and say they were burnt. I loved the char on them! ‍ The pizza was a chicken bacon ranch. Probably their tastiest pie of all. IMO. It's not Palladinos, but it's pretty good! The patio was packed but our waitress did an outstanding job of serving our food and drinks. We have yet to experience a bad meal here. Overall a decent place to have to grab a quick lunch. There is a few different entrances to get into the place so that was a little confusing and there is a bunch of different seating spots and event spaces inside. During our visit we ordered and the bad and that ate at one of the 4 outdoor picnics tables. Food was average, bar tender was friendly. Prices were not bad. They have quick draw at the bar and trivia during the week on I believe Tuesday and they have music during the summary on Thursday nights. read more

Pastas is a good place to have a pizza and a few beers during any sporting event. Inside they have plenty tvs, and they have speakers outside if you want to sit on the deck and listen. Prices are reasonable, and the food is decent. The pizza tends to be a bit greasy, but the crust is thin and crunchy. I'm giving three stars because the pizza can be inconsistent at times. Came here to see a band we like , and was surprised by the food , it was pretty darn good , BIG portions !!!! Reasonable drink prices also !

Poor service and hit or miss food. We were seated upstairs in a very 1972 set of orange chairs. It was extremely hot up there. At some point our terrible waitress told us that she couldn't carry all of our drinks up at once. The majority of the food was just ok. The pizza we ordered for the kids was so oily that I had to use several napkins just to soak up enough that the kids could even eat it. Both kids ate about half of one slice. The rest of the pizza was thrown out because no one wanted to eat the leftovers. It was that bad. Don't waste your time going here. read more

Breakfast here is delicious! The grilled cinnamon toast and the bacon are especially wonderful, the pancakes are huge and the fretta will fill you for a week. The wait staff is also really fantastic! They are very accommodating and kind. All that and the prices are really great! read more

Getting what you order ever would be exciting. I've never ordered from a place that cannot get your order correct. The fact that you need to shout into the phone and they still can't hear you is laughable. Pro tip. Move the phone somewhere other than the bar. read more

This place gave me one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The waitress was rude and took forever to take our order. We ordered a pizza, and it came to the table undercooked. The pizza was horrible, we ended up throwing away the leftovers. The waitress didn't even stop back at the table to see if we needed more drinks. I ended up going up to the bar for another drink. They were not busy but I still had to wait forever to get my drink. Though after tasting their food I understood why they were not busy. Personally I would never go to this place again even if my food and drinks were free. read more

I was greeted with a smile by the bartender. I was told to sit anywhere. The place was busy during lunch with the place crowded. The food portions are huge. The service was amazing and nothing was left undone. I would recommend this place as it was recommended to me. The pasta was very feeling with meatballs. The price very economically. read more

Recently had a small reception for my daughter who was married last year . Can't say enough about how pleasant an experience it was . From the owners to the waitresses and bartenders . The food was delicious. Had family style menu so something for everyone . A great experience all around . The owners were so easy to work with . Thank you Mike and Chris ! Gross. That's it in one word. Sure, I wasn't expecting fine dining at a golf course pub, but when a place says that their "dishes will definitely have your mouth watering," you have at least some expectation of a decent experience. Nope. We went on Friday night around 6:30, which you would think would be prime time when they would have the A-team working, right? Think again. For starters, we walked in the door and found no hostess, no sign saying "Please Wait to be Seated" or "Seat Yourself," no clue as to where we should sit. We flagged down a server and she told us it was OK to find a seat out on the deck. The outside seating was fine on a nice evening, even if the old wooden picnic table was peeling its paint. Although, we couldn't understand why the elderly lady chain smoking in a tattered housecoat was sitting in a plastic chair on the corner where you have to walk right by her. Owner's mother, perhaps? Who knows, but that's really, really weird. Not any worse than the golfers sitting at the adjacent table loudly dropping F-bombs, I suppose. The young server quickly came to give us menus and sat down at our table to take a drink order; unfortunately, she had no clue what beers were on tap, and went to get us a beer list. She came right back and said there was no list, and started telling us what they had - Bud Light, Miller Light, Labatt's, Blue Moon, etc. - and got stuck after about five names. (Their website says "ten drafts - eight of which are craft beers." Sorry, but no.) We finally settled on a close facsimile to craft beers - Sierra Nevada Pale and a summer ale that she didn't know the brand - and turned to the menu, which is mostly wraps, burgers, sandwiches, brick oven "style" pizza, and a few pasta entrees. We went with the cavatelli/broccoli and - since it was Friday - fish and chips. A different server delivered our food, saying only "That's hot!" as she rudely slammed down the pasta plate and scooted away before we could even ask her for ketchup for the fries. The pasta dish was OK, with lots of garlic and parmesan; and it was actually served on a real plate, compared to the tiny side salad that came in the kind of woven wood bowl you'd get in a high school cafeteria. The fish came in the same type of bowl, with three small pieces of haddock (?) tossed on top of the food-service style fries. See my photo - the bowl was chipped all around the edge, and I would have to say it was the most unappetizing looking meal I have ever paid for. After finishing, it took a solid twenty minutes for anyone to come by to clear the table and bring the check. For completeness of this review, we did a quick visual check on the interior of the restaurant - let's just say it's rough, with the same orange Jetson-style chairs on the upper level that were there in 1975 when I used to live nearby. Bottom line, B'ville has some other good choices for a casual Friday evening meal, so we won't be going here again. read more

The food is good but service is awful. The bartender, who may have been the owner was very, VERY rude. I ordered a pizza to go and asked if she could "punch" my electronic rewards card and she told another customer who was next to me "I'm not dealing with that". My family and I have been here a few times since moving to the area and every time the waitstaff has been rude and pushy. I'm done! read more

the waitress karen was great ... the manager/cook terrible ... some food is good other not good .. my daughter got chicken riggies and they were awful, sauce tasted like chef boyardee sauce and didn't eat it let them know and was told they would take it off the bill .. they took her food away .. never took it off the bill when questioned we were told the manager said there was nothing wrong with it and wasn't removing it ... but he took the food and threw it away so we couldn't even take it to feed the dogs with it if we wanted .. will never return there again and will let everyone we know not to eat there read more

We were there for a friends 40th birthday and had never been there before. We went to see 'Just Joe' play and he was wonderful! The service was awful!! I called to get some information on the times for 'Just Joe' and reserve a table as there were going to be a few people. The women who answered the phone knew nothing and left a message for, Chris, the owner to call me back. She said he was going into a "meeting". Never heard back from Chris (He must still be in the meeting 3 weeks later). The waitress started taking away food plates are we were still eating off them and the bartender wasn't at the bar when we went up for drinks. The place smelled like marijuana (pretty strong). Last time we will be there. Also, it is not wheelchair accessible. You have to go downstairs to use the bathroom and there is no ramp and there are stairs to get into the place and there is no ramp. read more
