Service was very good, waters and warm pita bread along with fresh homemade tzatziki came out immediately. As stated the portions are pretty big, definitely could share but it's so good you may not want too. We tried the following items: Spanakopita - it was okay, not the best. Grilled octopus - tender, cooked perfectly, amazing. The Hummes - tasted freshly made, also very good Gyro wrap - huge packed with deliciously seasoned lamb and beef - SO GOOD Baby lamb chops with lemon herb potatoes, great flavor, can't go wrong with this option. First time at Chris' Taverna, Lake Worth. We had dinner with out of town guests. as it was a location midpoint between the two parties. The restaurant is located in a shopping center. so ample parking available. We sat outside and were comfortable after about a 20 minute wait. Excellent food and excellent service. Ordered the dolmadakia (meatless grape leaves) and they were among the very best I've ever had. Too often stuffed grape leaves are overcooked and mushy... but Chris' were perfect, gently steamed and tasted freshly made. The grilled stuffed tomato feta pita was awesome. Always busy, good sign I think. I've been here quite a few times when I'm visiting the parentals. If you're craving Greek food, fresh, big portions, this is essentially your big fat Greek wedding of food. I'll base this review off my visit a couple nights ago. We sat inside, as it would rather humid out on the patio. The highlight is always the plethora of pita, straight from the oven, and that tzatziki sauce that I could pretty much eat on my deathbed. If carbs scare you, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by coming here. I'm only docking a star because the hummus this time didn't have that je ne sais quoi that it had last year. Kind of just pasty chickpea glue. I had the Moussaka. Oh heavens. Layers of too good so bad. The eggplant, so creamy! The ground meat, that blanket of potato. Creamy bechamel. This is as good as dessert for me. From what I understand, prices have gone up a few bucks or so on all items. However, I'm not new to food, having been a chef, and with the current inflation, the prices effect the consumer, but also the restaurant. People need not to forget about that. If you are looking for very casual and excellent fast service, this is your place. Other than Mediterranian Greek fare, you can get pasta, Italian dishes as well. Prices are very fair. House wine, beer and soft drinks are served. For a $9 corking fee, you can bring your own. I had the whole Bronzino with a Greek Salad and lemon potatoes. I thought the fish was on the small side but delicious for $36. My husband had the lasagna which was a big portion for him. We had a baklava for dessert but only Greek coffee was offered. We would have enjoyed a cup of American decaf. Next time I will skip the very sweet dessert. The waiter was extremely nice and gave us a couple of lamb chops to try. We agreed with him that they were delicious and will probably order them the next time we ear here. read more

Decent place for Mediterranean food in the area. I have only ordered takeout from here, so cannot comment on dining in. I will say that the restaurant is always very busy. I typically order the greek salad with grilled chicken. While I wouldn't say it is anything special, it is always pretty solid. No complaints. read more

Food & Service is good. Ambiance is ok. My only recommendation is to invest in a reservation software. Having your customers waiting outside in a plaza isn't customer service, waiting with no idea when you are eating doesn't help the experience. I won't be back for that reason. read more

I visited on a Sunday, and the atmosphere was bustling with energy, filled to the brim with fellow patrons. Despite the lively crowd, the noise level remained pleasantly manageable, allowing for enjoyable conversation, while the service was impressively swift and efficient. This place was pretty amazing. I have hard about Chris' for a while now and finally had an opportunity to come here. Of course we ate outside and kept covered until the fork had the food. Hard to believe that in such crazy time they could still run such an efficient shop. I can't imagine that it was easy. It's a really big restaurant that had just a few people in it all properly socially distanced. Out side was the same. Plenty of seating and all tables were at least six free apart. The meal started with some Pita and a delicious Greek Tzatziki Sauce. sauce. I said to myself; "now what," after looking at the amazing menu. There is so many items and everything looked so great. I did not know where to begin. Others in my party had the spanakopita and the stuffed eggplant. I wanted a salad which they had with anything you can think of. Chicken, lamb, shrimp... All of it looking just great! I went with a big Greek Salad and Octopus. Salad was cold and crisp.. Plenty of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, grape leaves, etc... The Octopus was perfectly grilled. Tasty and tender... The perfect addition to the salad. The serving team was excellent. They checked in on us regularly to ensure we were have a great dining experience. I assured them that we were. Everyone loved the Spanakopita and the eggplant. When I told my friend where I had been he wanted to know why I did not have the lamb chops... Guess I'll have to go back. BEST GYROS IN TOWN!!! I love Chris' tavern. The flavor, texture, and food presentation is spot on, and it's a great spot for the whole family. I love their Souvlaki wrap. It's got a delicious pita bread with rich Tzaziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a generous portion of grilled pork, and comes with a side of fries. It's huge and I can never finish it, but it's so good I wish I could. I usually have the leftover for lunch the next day :) the food is super fresh and you can taste in the flavor. Excellent job! The service is always exceptional. My dad doesn't speak English very well and they're always very patient and understanding. The food comes out quick and hot!
