    Greek salad

I didn't expect the food here to be so good (judging solely on appearance), but oh my gosh was I wrong. The flavors were divine, everything was so fresh and the portions are incredible!! The service was wonderful and everyone was very patient. I wish the atmosphere and the area were a little more vibey, but honestly it doesn't even matter when the food is this good

Family owned Greek restaurant that lives up to the good reviews. Everything we ordered was well flavored, fresh and nicely portioned. I'm not a feta cheese lover and I'm usually taking some off my salad but here, it wasn't sharp tasting at all. Very smooth, I ate it all. Chicken was freshly grilled and juicy, I think the potatoes were better than the fries. Service was great, we weren't left waiting for anything. Atmosphere is super chill too and usually a wait during prime-time dinner, so plan accordingly. This is one restaurant I'd come back to if I'm in the area!

We love Chris' Taverna! Always great service and delicious food. This location has much more seating than their other location. It is also a little nicer but it's still casual enough! I always get the gyro wrap! My husband gets either the souvlaki or lamb shank! Both are amazing, and where else can you get a lamb shank? It literally falls off the bone. The waitress reminded us to try the bone marrow inside the bones as well!

I'm not a huge fan of Greek food but for Father's Day, wanted to make my grand-baby's Greek Dad feel special. He's been here many times & loves it! The pita & taziki came out & I enjoyed it very much! They only had Greek beer and I tried the light. Pleasantly surprised!! I ordered the chicken wrap with fries & the chicken was flavored just right. Service was impeccable. It's a bustling place and a bit on the loud side, but we never felt rushed. Overall I truly enjoyed it & see why it has so many stars! Opa!

Amazing food!! Went on a Saturday night and it was busy! Lots of seating though and nice patio. We started with the trio dips. The spicy feta was really good and tzatziki was delicious. I had the gyro wrap which was huge, so much food. The lamb was delicious. The Greek fries were good but so much feta!

The food is amazing. Best in town. Come here often and they are always consistent. Service is always great. They even include free warm pita with tzatziki sauce! Place is not fancy but they have indoor and outdoor seating with a covered patio. Plenty of parking, a home goods and boba tea place near by. My wife can live in this shopping plaza. Place gets packed so be prepared to wait during peak dinner time but it is well worth it and the prices are very reasonable. The Grecian platter is our favorite and can feed 4 people!

Chris' is the best Greek food in south Florida! My family and I ordered takeout. We had a large order with a lot of modifications, all of which they got right. I ordered a Greek salad, which was very fresh. It had bright-red tomatoes, large cucumbers and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The salad was expensive, about $20, but it was large and I got two meals out of it. The pita and taziki is always delicious, with hints of garlic and salt. I've never dined in, but the staff is always welcoming at the register when we pick our food up. My only note is the dining room doesn't feel inviting. It has perfectly aligned rows of tables, making it feel like a cold atmosphere.

A great local spot for excellent Greek fare. Great to see it busy on a Tuesday. Not slammed but flowing. Fun dinner with family mixed with good service and food. Happy atmosphere. Definitely a great time. Food as always perfect. Got to love those potatoes.

Always my go to for amazing Greek cuisine. Fresh and tasty. Today's choice was the gyro salad and I could only eat half and took the other half home. Indoor and outdoor seating available and usually always busy. Portions are huge and I am always pleased with my meal. Try it out, you'll love it too.

Looking forward to a delicious lunch

Amazing always it is our go to place, fantastic service and food! We sit outside and it is so enjoyable!

This is a friendly authentic Greek restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food is always fresh and delicious, they give you very generous portion (except the octopus entree). if i m around the area, which is not too often, i like to stop by but i have not been here for a long time. Ican see things have changed a bit but it is still always a great place to eat. I like their humus and also tried the tzatziki, both are very good with pita. The lemon chicken soup is another favorite of mine here. The best entree is the grilled octopus with the greek salad, so yummy. Wish the octopus were a bit bigger. I love the restaurant but this time compare to what i was used to here, i have some complaints .. the octopus itself is much smaller than used to be, no more complimentary dish to start with.. and their prices have gone up since last time as well. The restaurant is kid friendly but they do not have kid's menu, which is bad, as for my little kids i had to order an adult dish to share (30$) which they could not even finish. If you want some intimate atmosphere it is not the place to be, as it tend to be noisy, specially when full house.. Regardless, If you like Mediterranean food and want authetic greek dish, it is a great place to eat!

Grecian platter with pork chunks gyro and lamb chops

I love all greek food but Chris taverna on Lantana and jog is truly one of my favorites. I've done large group orders and have come here for lunch multiple times with my manager and my husband. The gyro is delicious and my hubby and I usually split the grecian platter which has pork chunks gyro meat and 3 lamb chops. Sometimes we get the spanokopita as well. Everything is consistently delicious. The servers are always friendly and attentive. I've been coming here for years and recommend this to anyone in search of delicious Greek food with generous portions.

They have some small two top tables inside and a couple high tops outside. They had a board with lunch specials on it. But we wound up ordering from their regular menu. I got the moussaka and he got pasticchio. Both dishes came with a very generously sized Greek salad and warm pita wedges to start. The salads had tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onions, pepperoncinis, and romaine lettuce topped with feta cheese and dressing. There was also a small rice stuffed grape leaf -- cut in half. The salad could have been a meal in itself. The moussaka was layered egg plant and potatoes with a ground beef filling topped with cinnamon béchamel sauce. The pasticchio is the Greek version of lasagna but with elbow macaroni. Both portions were quite filling. I ate my dish and he brought half of his home. He was saving room for dessert. For dessert, he had galaktoboureko which is a custard filled pastry topped with simple syrup. He said it was good, but it would have been better if warmed. Or at least if the syrup was warm. We had very good service. If you like Greek food and are in the area, this is a good place to try. Large portions at reasonable prices.

A perfect day to try it. We first went into the hookah bar on one side of the market , but it was a bit too smokey for me. So we went into the market through which on the left there is a room with tables and chairs for the restaurant to dine in. We had a lovely conversation with a gentleman who was just finishing his lunch. He told us he comes here everyday. After describing his favorite meal choice, that's what we decided to order. We ordered first a medium pot of chai/tea. The owner, Assad (sp?), told us later when we asked that they add mint, dried mint, and sage to the pot. The tea was so aromatic and warming. We each had several glass cups -- with added sugar. To share, we had their mixed grill. There were 3 skewers -- one chicken, one beef, and one kofta kebab (ground meat). The meats were served over rice with a bit of salad on the side. Small containers of salad dressing and tehina were on the plate, too. I added some sumac (my favorite lemony spice) to everything. The food was very good and we left not a crumb. We were surprised to learn that the gentleman we'd previously chatted with paid for our dessert before he left! We got kunefah (kenefe/knaffe) -- my husband's favorite. It was nice and cheesy in the middle. And then as we were leaving, the owner gifted us a traditional special Ramadan "sweet" pastry. We were too full to try it there, so we brought it home for later. He said it has walnuts inside. We look forward to returning here for more middle eastern delights. It's casual, low key, cooked to order, and welcoming.

The gnocchi came with sausage, which they were able to omit, but I felt a little trapped into ordering the one entrée that could easily be modified. Shortly after we ordered, one of the owners came over to our table. She was incredibly gracious and personable, and when I mentioned my concern about the lack of vegetarian entrées, she couldn't have been more receptive. She asked what I had ordered, suggested an additional modification to make the dish better, and told me they would be looking at adding or adapting more main courses for vegetarians in the future. The gnocchi turned out to be terrific. Even more impressive, my wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law thought their meals were among the best they've had in South Florida. What really distinguished the evening, though, was the hospitality. She came back several times to check on us and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Instead of being defensive about a suggestion, she listened and responded in exactly the way you hope a restaurant owner would. We walked in with me feeling somewhat disappointed by my choices and left thoroughly impressed -- by the food, but even more by the warmth, attentiveness and attitude of the owners. We will definitely be back.

Service was spotty, I had to ask for a glass of ice 3 times and he disappeared towards the end of the meal, as he got busy attending tables outside. It is a small menu with limited options. We started with the mussels and Mediterranean dip. It was very nice but served with a cold whole pita which everyone needs to touch and tear apart. I ordered the steak and frites ( substituting a salad over frites) which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Hubs and another had the flat iron chicken which was very moist, but charred which is not only carcinogenic but bitter in taste which I did not enjoy and would not have eaten. Our friend had the lamb chops which she ordered medium but they came rare but tasted good. We ordered the soufflé and affogato for dessert. The young lady drops off the small dish of vanilla ice cream with the soufflé but no espresso. The soufflé was cold and undercooked. It took awhile for our server to return, and he brought out the espresso which might have sat outside the whole time as it wasn't even hot...our waiter never returned, so we still ate it but it wasn't as good.. A few notes which took away from our experience was the service, cold/undercooked dishes, and the chicken entree lacking as they serve fries but no veggies unless you order carrots or cauliflower at $20? They also charged $12 for water. Not the best experience.
