My family and I have been coming here for 30+ years and still love their hamburger specials with extra pickles. Highly recommend if you want a Mom and Pop burger spot. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu but the fries are a must with every order. read more

My family and I have been coming here for almost 30 years. The quality of the food has gone down and the prices have gone up. They are famous in this city for their chilly cheese fries and I am upset to say they have changed their cheese, shouldn't be a big deal right? however the cheese they have now does not melt and feels like your chewing rubber. They also charge $1.10 extra if you are paying with card or apple pay. Sad to have to pass on this place now, it was my favorite burger joint. read more

Service is great! Seems like a lot of ppl in the kitchen so order was taken immediately and was ready in good timing. My disappointment is in the preparation for the food. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. I've never ordered it from here before so didn't think too much of it. There's a pic of the quesadilla on the wall as well and it looked like any other quesadilla you get a burger stand.... So the order taker asks if I want everything with it - Ofcourse I say yes... I also order tomatoes on the side. We'll when I received my order - chicken looked good but why was the lettuce and tomatoes inside the quesadilla with the fake cheese?? It looked like nacho cheese!! Lmaooo I was like are they Foreals!? I know there's an inflation but y'all can do better than what I received. My man and I have had great experiences the times we've gotten Chris's Hamburgers. We've only had breakfast from here, so I can't comment on anything else. My go-to breakfast item is the Sausage & Egg sandwich which is just so delicious and packed w/ ingredients that I like. The avocado is extra, but it's so good with avocado. My man loves breakfast burritos & he was very happy with his order of sausage, potatoes, & egg w/ a side of salsa, of course burrito (Simple man, I love it) I find it odd though that they use the sausage links instead of a sausage patty, that'd make more sense for a sandwich but nevertheless still my go-to breakfast item from here. This is a neighborhood institution. However, I've noticed some changes to their regular items. For example, the side of dressing tasted really gross, like it was a new brand instead of what they typically offer. Today, I picked up a burger combo and I'm confused as to why the bun is so dry. The chili cheese fries are okay but this burger really has me feeling like I'm on a bad date and I need my friend to call me pretending she needs help. I've been eating here for over 20 years. When I was at the drive thru I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito, and I told her twice to add beans. When I got to the window I reminded her again to add beans. Well when I got home, guess what ? NO beans !!!!!!!! in my breakfast burrito. I'm going to back to Chris burgers in Cudahy for now on, no more Chris burgers in Maywood. It pains me to post this review, but I have been going to Chris's burgers for years. Always friendly service, always gets the order right. Today was a flipping nightmare! Four times I asked the lady on the phone to repeat the order. EVERY single time she got another aspect of the order wrong. I get there and I look at the order and one of the burgers isn't right. NOW the other four burgers are cold by the time they re-prepare the one burger. Then I am admonished by the cook when I ask for a credit of some sort for four cold burgers, with his response being, "don't yell I am having a hard day." First of all, I wasn't yelling. But now I am... YOU HAVE ONE JOB! Get the order right! I should NOT have to be penalized with four cold burgers because you got one of the wrong. No freaking decent customer service. They were only willing to give a fry. I already have a trough of fries. Take something off this bill. Again...it is not right that the customer has to be stuck with cold food because of the proprietor's inability FOUR times to get the order right. I was SOOO looking forward to dinner with a Chris's meal. Tonight ruined it and it was so very easy to fix. Just prepare another set of burgers...don't argue with the customer like you are doing me a favor by having chosen Chris's as opposed the 5 other burger places I passed to get to yours. This was beyond an abysmal experience. This is on the heels of two days ago I was excited to introduce a friend to Chris's. She asked for a bacon sandwich no mayo because it makes her sick. There was mayo. She couldn't even eat and we did t realize the order was wrong until we got home. Keep getting orders wrong and then telling customers your day is bad. It is going to be a really bad day when people stop giving you chances. The customer WHO IS PAYING FOR YOU TO STAY IN BUSINESS, BY THE WAY, deserves CORRECT orders AND hot food....ALL OF IT!! read more

Never coming this place again, this sandwich was a $28 meal, the up charge on substituting fries then swapping for chili cheese fries another $5 and we paid $7 for two sodas. We ask for thousand island and the cook who manages the drive through window said it was going to be 60 cents, you mean to tell me that we paid for this $28 meal and you still have the nerve to tell us we have to pay for thousand. The food was not that great for $28. I could have gone to another restaurant and had mimosas and a better entre. The up charge for the thousand was really wild after we paid the $28. If I would have heard the total before my partner paid for it, I would have walked right out. read more

I've been to location a few times only because my parents have rental properties in this area. I would not travel over here to eat here. I had a charbroiled burger and the burger itself was lacking taste even with all the condiments and the main reason was the meat wasn't even seasoned properly. I put on a little salt and even some pepper. The french fires where on the dark side only reason why was the vegetable oil was old. If the vegetable oil is filtered on a daily basis you would have a longer life on your product. The Interior of this location needs some detail cleaning,especially the restroom. So much graffiti all over the place. I know its hard to maintain to area, however its your responsibility as a operator and or a owner to maintained clean,sanitary and in good repair. We always hit this spot every time we are in town. Burgers are always on point! The yummy charbroiled flavor that is a California specialty!! Church placed an large order after service and they took care of us very well. They we're attentive with condiments, all orders were correct, drinks were packed well. Used to be my favorite hamburger stand growing up in the 80s. I was in the area and decided to drop by. Got a hamburger special. It was almost $11.50 for the combo and they charge $1 for using a card. Somehow I the lady decided to charge me $2 for using my card and my burger had cheese. The fries were overdone. It's just isn't the same anymore. Sorry to say, go elsewhere. read more

I regret coming here :( I honestly am a fan of Chris's hamburgers in Cudahy. But today we decided we wanted hamburgers and fries and they were closed for I don't know what. So we decided let's go to the other location which is this one. And quickly came to regret it. First of all the location was not welcoming. It was cold and didn't feel like family. The other location you can feel people are happy to be working and are helpful. The prices are different and that was fine for me because of course it's a different location. But I tried getting the steak sandwich meal and it was 13$ something but I was like never mind I just ended up getting a regular cheeseburger and fries and it didn't even come with a drink. It was 7$ something. You can never go wrong with a burger and fries from Chris's. I also happened to ask the cashier for a side of chili and cheese so I can add to my fries. She didn't know the price but maybe they were confused or just didn't want to sell it to me. She told me it was $1.50, I paid for it. And it was the side of chilli with cheese in a little cup where the dressing goes. I couldn't believe I paid $1.50 for that!!!!!! When I got my food the fries were too small. The chili look nasty too. I felt like asking for my money back. But I told my husband No I didn't want to argue for it. So we ended up eating there.Not the same quality from my home store. I didn't know the chefs made a difference , I will definitely not come here anymore. I told my husband to remind me not to come here anymore. And maybe that's the reason I'm writing this review so I can remind myself too. read more

The staff is extremely nice & friendly and one of the Family's Owner was on site I believe her name was Cristina she was talking to the Customers making sure they were enjoying their food and having a good time . I love when I see that , that's the Customer Service I grew up with and it's almost like a lost art even at fancy restaurants they don't even do that anymore . This place is located in a city full of people who are of hispanic and latino descent, meaning there will obviously be customers that struggle with English. Regardless of that, they hire employees who scream and berate customer who struggle with English and make mistakes. Why hire those type of people when you know that lots of people in Maywood California struggle with speaking english? I recently visited Chris's Burgers, and I was impressed with the overall experience. The drive-thru was convenient, and the restaurant itself was super clean. All the tables were spotless, and even though the restroom required a key, it was well-maintained. The food was good--fresh and flavorful--and the customer service was great as well.
