I love that Dr. Marcus and Dr. Andrew are super communicative about what options are available for my son, depending on what treatment he needs from that visit. I also appreciate the transparency and payment options when it comes to billing. I'm happy to pay more for a dentist who puts the needs of their patients first, and that's definitely something that Dr. Marcus and Dr. Andrew focus on most. I was so impressed at the ease of reaching the doctor/dentist Andrew on the phone. He was very tentative, asked questions and reviewed photos I sent right away. He put a plan in place immediately, called in a prescription to my sons pharmacy and keep me informed all the way. He also made sure to book my son an appointment the next business day. He worked with my sons orthodontist to establish a treatment plan and followed up. I was very impressed with his knowledge and how he handled the situation. We scheduled an 8:00 a.m. appointment for two fillings for my daughter. Before booking, I…read morespecifically asked how long the procedure would take and was told 20-30 minutes, so we planned our morning accordingly and arrived before 8:00 a.m. However, five or six families were also scheduled for 8:00 a.m., and it appeared the dentist had just arrived while team huddles were taking place as patients waited. These types of internal meetings should ideally happen before the first patient appointments begin. We were called back around 8:10 a.m., but then waited in the room for the dentist, who was seeing another patient. The dentist did not come in until after 8:30 a.m. The procedure itself was quick and finished by 8:45 a.m., but only one of the two scheduled fillings was completed. Because of the delay, my daughter was late to school and I was late to a 9:00 a.m. meeting. We made every effort to arrive on time, but the office did not appear ready to begin seeing patients at 8:00 a.m. Respectfully, if the office cannot begin appointments at that time, patients should be scheduled later. The delay had ripple effects on the rest of our morning and felt disrespectful of our time.

You can truly tell that she loves what she does and genuinely cares about every child she treats. They also took the time to teach him how to brush his teeth, making the appointment both fun and educational. Cindy and Bella at the front desk were phenomenal--so welcoming, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. The dental assistant, Miss Ngnin, was also incredibly kind and made my son feel safe and comfortable during his visit. It's not easy finding a pediatric dental office that combines exceptional care with such a warm and child-friendly environment, but Little Roots exceeded all of our expectations. He also got a toy and a balloon at the end of the visit, which made him so happy. She saved me from getting unnecessary treatment at my other dentist office, treatment that would be painful and expensive!!! I already knew this might come up because a previous dental office had mentioned it. However, that dental office wanted 2 1/2 times the amount out of pocket than Oceanic Dental. They provided a print out of the work to be done, how much would be billed to my insurance and how much was my responsibility. Best of all, they left it to me to make the decision on when and didn't try to persuade me. It was a completely pressure free experience. You can tell the staff values their patients and wants every visit to be a positive experience. Their attention to detail and genuine concern for patient care made a lasting impression. Very nice clean office with a decent size waiting area with a set up for water, tea, or coffee while you wait and even has what appears to be a massage chair. The ladies at the front desk are very polite and helpful in explaining all of the details of your treatment and visit. The dental assistants are very nice and cheerful and honest with you about the procedures they are performing. Dr. Wang was very nice and explained everything to me and listened to exactly what I had to say to keep me ongoing the right way with my teeth. Our whole family now has appointments to see them soon.
