Christine's is one of my happy place - a charming little cookie shop tucked into the Mission that's somehow both nostalgic and totally inventive. If you're someone who believes great cookies can change your whole day (hi, same), run here immediately. Keep an eye on their hours (they're not open daily)! Let's talk cookies - each one is thoughtfully crafted, not overly sweet, and perfectly textured, with the best possible ingredients. Here's the rundown of my favorites: Chocolate Chip: Classic, but far from basic. This cookie is perfection, soft, with just the right amount of crisp around the edges. It's buttery, rich, and full of high-quality chocolate chunks that melt into the dough beautifully. Honestly? One of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. Lemon Earl Grey: This one totally wowed me. It's delicate, fragrant, and clearly made with real tea. Paired with the brightness of the lemon right in the center, it's refreshing and unique without being overpowering. Oatmeal Brittle: I wasn't expecting to love this one so much, but WOW. It's hearty and chewy, but with that crackly brittle folded in, there's this amazing caramel crunch that takes it to the next level. I love it! Black Sesame Oreo: Nutty, toasty, and just slightly savory with this deep, roasted flavor that lingers beautifully. It's not your everyday cookie, but something really special. The shop itself is sweet and minimalist - with pop ups of beautiful home wares, gorgeous cookies that are baked with care and creativity. The staff are very friendly, and they're more than happy to talk you through the flavors if you can't decide (which, fair warning, you probably won't be able to). Christine's feels like a love letter to cookies - comforting, elevated, and made with serious intention. I'll definitely be returning... often

I've had a few moments in my life where I've been completely inspired. When I stop and think, "what does it feel like to be the absolute master of your craft?" Christine's is one of those moments. In a city known for outstanding pastries, I can say without hesitation that Christine's is the best. Cookies (my ranking from bestest to best) chocolate walnut - toasted walnuts grown in northern California, dark chocolate discs, and browned butter. oatmeal brittle - house made organic almond sesame brittle, cranberries, oats and a hint of cinnamon come together to make this nutty and insanely fun take on the classic oatmeal cookie. lemon earl grey - spring seasonal filled with a housemade fresh, zesty meyer lemon jam made with organic meyer lemons from Prevedelli Farms in Watsonville, accompanied with a hint of Numi earl grey tea leaves infused throughout. black sesame oreo - fragrant nuttiness, paired with crushed organic chocolate sandwich cookies. sea salt espresso tea cookie - nutty buckwheat tea cookie dipped in TCHO's Real Fudgy single origin 70% dark chocolate, topped with organic espresso beans from Linea Coffee and Maldon sea salt. All the cookies except the last one are 4 ounces each, 4 inches in diameter, and all of them are made with all organic ingredients. I've also tried the cheese herb monkey bread, the Delano mushroom mechado danish, and the plain croissant, sooooo good. But timing is everything, you've got to catch the pastries when they come out or you'll miss them. The world might be a bit of a dumpster fire right now, so do yourself a favor and buy the cookies and pastries and support this local gem. Thank you, Christine, for your talent and passion! you can taste the excellence in every bite.

My friend brought me some cookies from Christine's. I ended up trying the chocolate chip, black sesame and lemon Earl grey. Lemon Earl grey 2/5- it started out great and then it got too tarty for me. And I normally love lemon but this was a little too much for my liking. Black sesame with oreo- 4/5- good and I can taste the black sesame over the Oreo more. But this cookie felt very buttery. Chocolate chip cookie - 5/5 made just right with a good amount of chocolates inside the cookie You can order ahead online if you wish. I think her cookies do changed during the season. So I recommend checking from time to time to see what's new.

This cute little bakery is tucked between Potrero Hill and the Mission. Service was friendly got greeted right away. I was excited to finally try Christine's, but I think I might have ordered the wrong things, nothing I tried really made me want to come back. I ordered the kimchi croissant. The croissant itself was good, flaky and buttery, but the filling didn't really deliver the bold kimchi flavor you'd expect. The sesame cookie was okay for being vegan, but the one I liked most was the oatmeal brittle cookie with cranberries. Maybe I'm biased, but I prefer my cookies more crunchy and crispy. Christine's cookies lean more toward the soft, chewy side, which some people love. I'd definitely skip the hot matcha though, it tasted watered down with milk, didn't have the bold match flavor and just didn't hit the mark.

Was at the Renegade Craft fair at Fort Mason and I was on the lookout for christine's! They were at the front of the pavilion this time and not in the back where I've seen them before. I had to get my favorite oatmeal brittle cookie and black sesame Oreo cookie. Both were fantastic. The Oreo black sesame one was more crumbly, the flavor was very unique and delicious. The oatmeal brittle one was a little chewy, the brittle gave it more texture and I liked the cranberries in it. Definitely get these cookies if you can! Every time I have them, I'm blown away by how good they are

Adding pictures to the location. Great place for good cookies and good monkey bread.

This place is FIRE! They clearly have good quality ingredients and it shows (in the form of taste) in the quality of the cookies. There's quite a variety of cookies. I'm a sucker for chocolate chip with walnut so that's probably going to be my forever favorite. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside. And they THICC too. I will say they're not the cheapest cookies in the world ($6+ per cookie), but the size and flavor are great and you're supporting small business. It's located in between two buildings on Bryant street, just look for the A-sign and you'll find them. Clean modern contemporary look on the inside. Emily and Diane were working the shop when I went, both very sweet and welcoming ladies. Go check em out!

I stumbled on christine's at the Renegade craft fair and had to grab a couple of cookies to try. I got the Black Sesame Oreo and Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies and loved how chewy they are. The Black Sesame Oreo had great black sesame flavor and I could really taste both the sesame and oreo without it being too sweet! The cookies are large and dense without feeling too heavy and overall such a nice treat. I will have to visit the shop in the Mission next time I'm in the area!

Christine's is my favorite cookie spot in SF. I think about these cookies constantly and am always trying to see when I can get them next. I've tried all of their cookie types, and each flavor is phenomenal. My favorite is the Chocolate Walnut, but their Black Sesame Oreo is definitely a must-try! It's one of the best black sesame desserts I've had in a long time. I also quite enjoy their seasonal flavors, like the Lemon Earl Grey that is currently available. You can really tell how much love and passion is put into the cookies. The microbakery itself is super cute and aesthetic, and the owner is truly such a sweet human being. This place is a hidden gem--you should definitely try them out!

christine's is a small place in the Mission that sells mainly cookies with a very clean and modern design. I had the Black Sesame Oreo and Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate cookies. I can see why the Black Sesame Oreo is their best seller; I'd come back just to have it again. There was a small line of around maybe 5 people Saturday around noon, nothing too crazy. Definitely worth the time

Crossed the Bay Bridge just to get a taste of the hype with Christine's cookies. Tucked in an alley away from the usual busy areas of the city. Place is nice & neat. You are warmly greeted & acknowledged as you walk in. Cookie variations were beautifully displayed so you'd know which flavor/s to get. This place looked more like a hobby shop than a bakery/cookie shop honestly. Cookies tasted ordinary though. Was kind of disappointed. But hey...they're organic! Made with quality ingredients and I'm sure the owner poured her heart into these. It's just not for m

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

We came for a factory tour, about an hour long. It was fascinating and educational to learn about the craft of chocolates from fruit to beans to the chocolate bar, and to get to chocolate taste along the way. Their work is inspiring-adding minimal ingredients to their chocolate bars so that the flavors of the cacao beans shine naturally from where they originate. After the tour, we tried the hojicha hot chocolate, the celebration cake, and the matcha cookie. For the hojicha hot chocolate, the tea flavor was subtle, but good chocolate. The celebration cake was what we expected-glad it wasn't overly sweet so that cocoa is more pronounced, but it also wasn't too rich; I felt the chocolate here in some sense lacked depth. The matcha cookie was my favorite-a cake texture matcha exterior encasing a denser brownie-like chocolate core - a delicious combo! Last thoughts to prep for the experience if you tour- 1.) Eat before you go on the tour-sampling chocolate means you do get caffeinated, and you'll likely purchase more chocolate (more caffeine!) after :) 2.) Included with the tour is a complimentary chocolate drink of choice at the end, in case you were pondering whether to buy the hot chocolate or not ;) 3.) Dandelion Chocolate products are pricey but quality. Paying the price feels like it's appreciation of their art. If you love chocolate, it's a wonderful place to visit at least once!
