I just started going to Chroma and am very glad to find a great salon and a wonderful stylist. I have seen Mary C. twice now and have left very happy and way beyond satisfied with the outcome. Lindsay got me in for my appointment the same day. She always calls right back to accommodate your needs or awnser your questions. The salon was very clean and the staff very professional. I followed Lindsay from another salon. She always gets my hair color and cut just right. I think she does better than Gene Juarez. The price was great as well. I have naturally curly hair so it is really dry and absorbs chemicals fast so it's easy to mess the color up. Lindsay takes coloring and cut classes on her own time to keep up with the latest trends and techniques. Their dye is ammonia free so it doesn't damage or fry your hair when you get highlights plus it's a bonus when you don't have to smell the strong chemicals. I know she is going to take the Brazilian blowout class and I will be the first one in line to try it. Chroma only uses the best products. Michelle gave me the best spray tan! I have fair skin and this Washington weather doesn't help me. So when I have a event coming up I come here for a nice glow. She goes very light for me which I love it! I keep glowing skin all week long and when it fades, it fades lightly so I dont have 5 different colors! I found Chroma Salon here on Yelp. Obviously they have great reviews so I made an appointment request. Lindsay was the person who contacted me to make an appointment and I am so happy she did. The first appointment I had with her, she did a foil. I told her that I like cool, ashy blonde. Nothing warm, no red or gold... Just ashy. She got my color perfect. I got so many compliments on it. My haircut was minimal (per my request). I have long hair and want to keep it that way. I have had people give me a "trim" that ended up equaling about 4 inches. So to say I have haircut trust issues is putting it lightly, but I trust her with my hair 100%. Fast forward to months later, I had a balayage done recently. Absolute perfection! Again... I constantly get compliments on it. It looks SO natural and since I work 7 Days a week, I need my color to last. A few other things... No pushy sales techniques to buy product. I hate that. If I want product in the future, I'll buy it from her because of this. And no forced conversations. I'm not anti-social, but we've all been around those people who just can't stand breaks in conversation. The conversation with Lindsay is comfortable and inviting, not forced and fake. I came in twice for a spray tan prior to my wedding- one trial run and the real deal a few weeks later. I'm a pale blonde girl who needed some color for June wedding photos. Michelle exceeded all of my expectations! The spray tan room is well lit and ventilated, and she has everything you need- hair nets, baby wipes, baby powder, etc. It was very professional and she was fun to talk to during the process. It wasn't awkward at all, and I got a beautiful glow that lasted several days after the spray. Both times, she did a great job and with her aftercare instructions, the color was lovely and even. Not orange at all, and it made my skin look the perfect tone in my photos. I will refer anyone who needs a tan to Michelle, or should I have another big event, I'll be stopping back in. :) read more
