Came on opening day during the morning and it was a good line but they were going through the orders fast. So far I had the banana foam matcha and hojicha with foam. And these are delicious! The hojicha you can taste, I may ask for less sweet next time but at least you can taste its hojicha. Some places you can barely taste the toasted tea. The matcha and banana is done so well! Real banana in the foam. Perfectly sweetened. I need to know how to make the banana cold foam. Excited for another coffee shop especially in this side of Torrance. read more

NEXT GEN COFFEE SHOP Goodbye Baskin Robbin's and hello coffee. Pretty early to the game, still has a few pieces of grand opening memorabilia hanging around. I got the cold brew latte with some foam added on top. What's important to me is that the sugar/milk doesn't overpower the coffee too much. It was right in the in-between where the his works as coffee pick me up and dessert. Otherwise I start paying for extra shots. But it went well. The place has pretty decent seating compared to most places, but you'll likely be sharing arm length space with others. Nice decor and windows all around for that natural lighting. Set up to be a convenient stop before you head down to the Del Amo fashion center. I'll be back. read more

This is my first visit here so there will likely be another update in the future for more of their offerings This place was a zoo on the weekend with a line out the door and no idea why. Came here from a recommendation from a self-confessed coffee snob. I got the Matcha Banana latte on ice and it's pretty good. Banana is subtle but definitely there. Not a whole lot of matcha. This was good and an eye-opener in the morning. I was looking for a mocha, but didn't see one on the menu (?). Did I miss it? Hmmmm. I don't know, but service was quick. Ambiance is modern glass and chrome, of course. There is some seating but not the comfortable kind so don't plan to stay too long. Otherwise, this was good. I'll be back later to try more. read more

Chrome matcha: 5/5 Banana cream matcha: 3.5/5 I've had a good amount of banana matchas and they're usually my favorite, but the banana was just too overpowering with the cinnamon that I couldn't really taste the matcha. I still enjoyed it though since I love banana drinks - just think the ratio was off for me. I do appreciate that it's not artificial banana though. I also just think the chrome matcha was much higher quality of a drink. The strength and the notes of the matcha were perfect and so was the matcha cream on top. Soooo good. Highly recommend this one! Place is minimalistic and the chrome decor is cool. Not much of a place to work which is what we came to do. The line was super long and wrapped around the whole inside perimeter of the place. There's only one long communal table in the middle that gets surrounded and the bar seating by the window was being blocked by the line so no one could use those. Maybe it's better when it's less busy. We couldn't work here but decided to get the drinks anyways, which I'm glad we did. Top tier friendly staff. They were doing their best to keep the line moving and pump drinks out fast. Very casual, love the vibes. Feels like they're trying to make it feel like a community in here. read more

This banana cream matcha latte was so good that I honestly wished I ordered two. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the flavors came together, such a perfect combo. I also loved the vibe of this coffee shop, and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. There is a wait, but it's totally worth it. Luckily there's a good amount of parking, but it does get busy, so be prepared to wait in line. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Torrance. Worth the drive for sure! read more

Trendy boutique coffee shop with nicely flavored coffee drinks. I ordered the Iced Lavender latte. Flavoring was nice. Not too sweet. There was a hipper clientele than some of the bigger coffee chains. People were working on laptops and some just hanging out. Cool spot. Good service. read more

Not busy on a Sunday early morning. Got the a Matcha strawberry which is my to go drink. Matcha wasn't very strong. Wasn't too sweet. Tasted mostly of milk. Probably wouldn't get it again. Had quiet a few bakery goods but were a little bit too expensive to try. read more

I first heard about Chrome Coffee on TikTok and Instagram. It kept popping up as one of the top matcha spots around the South Bay, so I knew I eventually had to try it. So far I've been three times. My daughter is more of the coffee person, while I'm definitely the matcha drinker. The first time we visited, nothing on the coffee side really caught my daughter's attention, so I ordered the banana cream matcha. I instantly fell in love with it. It was so good and honestly one of the best matcha drinks I've had. The second time we came back, the place was much more crowded. I think they had started gaining a lot of popularity on social media. I ordered the same drink again, but since I had gotten more into matcha by then, the sweetness stood out more to me and it felt a little too sweet. After that visit I honestly thought I would just stick to my usual matcha spot and not return. But then I saw on TikTok that they had a Biscoff coffee, and I immediately thought my daughter would love it. So we decided to go back one more time and give it another try. I'm glad we did. My daughter ordered the Biscoff coffee and loved it. She asked for a little less brown sugar, and it ended up being perfect. For my matcha, I also asked them to make it a little less sweet and that made all the difference. The banana cream matcha was amazing again. Their banana cream top tastes like it's made with real banana, which makes it stand out from other matcha spots. The shop itself is always clean with a super sleek aesthetic, and I also love their merch. Customer service has always been friendly during our visits. After that third visit, I can definitely say this will be one of my go-to matcha spots close to home, and I'm really glad I gave it another try. read more

New coffee shop in Torrance!! There is free parking in a lot, but it can get quite crowded. Chrome already seems pretty busy, so you may have to wait a bit for your drink! +Banana Cream Latte So so good! I loved that they used real banana pieces in the foam. Ahhhh love trying out new matcha places, and love how this one opened up in Torrance. It was pretty busy when I went around 3pm-ish , it was pact and there were barely any seats available, but it was okay and needed to leave. I love the modern aesthetic of the space, literally chrome colors! I ordered one of their signature drinks the chrome matcha. I ordered mine with oat milk, and I love how stunning the green color of my matcha and was creamy with the foam. It was super affordable, you're definitely not spending $10+ for a drink. Definitely kept me caffeinated throughout the day. I would definitely come back again! Parking: There is parking in the plaza but can get full really quick. You'll be lucky to get a spot! read more

I had driven by CHROME COFFEE STUDIO so many times and the sign caught my eye, so I was excited when they finally opened! I've been a couple times and I have tried the banana cream matcha, banana cream latte, and coconut matcha. Drinks were good, but just a little too sweet for my liking. Of the three, my favorite was the coconut matcha. Although still sweet for me, it's very refreshing! I'm not sure if you can make adjustments to the sweetness level, so I'll try asking next time. The store itself is clean and decor is minimal. Most of the time I drive by, I do see a long line inside. But I've never had to wait too long in line, it always moved pretty fast. I've also been on a weekday afternoon where line isn't bad at all. Staff have always been nice. Overall a nice experience! read more

So good!! I got the banana cream latte. I loved that the banana cold foam on top tasted like fresh banana bread! I'm an all things banana flavored lover, and this definitely met my expectations. I've been here a couple times on the way to work so I get there shortly after 7 am and there's always a hand full of people in there already. I can only imagine how busy it gets on the weekends. I've only tried their banana cream matcha and I really like the balance of matcha and banana without being overly sweet. The pastries have been decent but would be better if they warmed them up. Service has been better compared to other similar establishments in the area. Clean minimalistic interior and plenty of parking in the lot. read more

This is a newer coffee place in Torrance, and it always has a long line when I drive by. I finally stopped in on the weekend, and while it does take a little long to order, the drink I got was well worth the wait and I cannot wait to go back and order it again. I ordered the banana matcha latte with whole milk. It was so delicious. I was skeptical of the banana flavor at first because I was really hoping it would not taste like artificial bananas, but it does not. It even has little bits of banana in the cream top. The flavor combines so well with the matcha. Once you order, you don't have to wait too long for the drink to be ready. I can't wait to go back this weekend! read more

Chrome Coffee Studio in Torrance, located in a small plaza off Torrance Boulevard (same complex as Bab N Banchan) was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The atmosphere is modern and minimalistic, with plenty of seating. Besides coffee and teas, they also sell baked goods such as croissants, muffins, kouign amanns, and cookies. They also have non coffee drinks such as strawberry milk and strawberry ade, which is great if you are bringing a child who also wants a drink. I tried the Banana Milk Latte with oat milk, and it was fantastic. It wasn't too sweet and they used real fresh banana pieces blended in for a natural flavor. It's refreshing to find a drink that tastes this good without being overly sugary. I'm not a fan of overly sweet drinks. I was so glad they didn't use banana milk, and it was actually real bananas. The service was also great. The cashier/barista were nice, and friendly and my drink came out quickly. Overall, Chrome Coffee is a great spot with quality drinks, great vibes, and attention to detail. I'll definitely be back to try their other drinks. read more

Happy that the South Bay is finally getting some much needed cafe spots,particularly matcha ones. Walking in it's quiet busy with young people,very much instagram vibey cafe. Plenty of sitting inside and outside. I ordered their cream top Hojicha latte, it is very much in the sweeter side. I didn't ask if I could adjust the sweetness, I do personally tend to like my tea's more earthy. I would go again to try their matcha latte. Brand new shop in Torrance. They are still working out the details but they have a winning formula. Why? Lets break it down. The drinks are good but on the sweeter side (which people love!) This is where you go for artsy instagram shots and to chat with your friends. There is no chocolate drinks such as a warm Mocha on a cold winter day. The lack of chocolate based drinks is a minor problem that can be easily solved later. You wont find pour overs or any specialty coffee drinks here. So if that's okay with you, go! Go! Go! The staff is nice and friendly. They are still working on their bar flow and it looks very busy behind the scenes. The parking situation is a bit difficult since the strip mall is busy all week. Hello again from Torrance, which kept calling me back with another new place to try recently. Entering the parking lot I could already see the busy venue with long line of customers waiting to place their orders. The wait happened inside the venue, but surprisingly the space was pretty warm, prolly due to how packed it was with people which's kinda expected being at its early days. Saying that, it's not startling they took awhile to get the orders ready but you could tell that they worked attentively, looking at constant business behind the bar. Besides, the bright space did provide plenty of seats so you could wait comfortably. I went for their most favorite Chrome Latte, whose default was sweet as it's served with brown sugar and the cream top was sweet as well. Having my first sip, I prolly fancied slightly bolder coffee flavor, but overall the taste was decent. It's also smart idea adding cocoa powder on top of the cream as the slight hint of bitterness balanced the overall taste so it's neither overly creamy nor too sweet. read more

Chrome Coffee Studio recently opened, taking over a former sushi and boba shop. I headed over for a post-lunch pick me up, and it was very busy, with the line wrapping around the communal table. It took about 20-25 minutes to get to the front to order, but 5-10 minutes to get my drink, which wasn't too bad given how busy it was. I ordered the popular Chrome matcha with oat milk, and it came beautifully-presented, definitely for that Instagram effect. Taste-wise, it was okay: I wish that the matcha flavor was stronger. Even with the double layer of matcha cream top, it wasn't enough matcha for me. I think the oat milk kind of overpowered the matcha by a bit (as I'm lactose-intolerant and can't really have dairy), but it was still a sweet drink that did the trick for my matcha craving. There's ample parking in the strip mall, although it can be a bit hard to find a spot during peak hours. I also appreciate the friendly service: the workers always had a smile on their faces, despite how many people there were! I like how the South Bay is having more cafés open up, and I hope Chrome is here to stay! read more

New coffee spot alert!!! This little gem just had its grand opening today, and I'm already a fan. Parking is a breeze (yay!), and the vibe is all about that bright, modern minimalism with a warm touch. Inside, they've got these gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows along the bar area that let in a lot of natural light. There is also a big communal table right in the middle that's perfect for studying or just hanging out. I tried the Chrome latte, and it was heavenly. I went with oat milk to make it extra creamy, and it was the perfect balance, not too sweet, and the espresso was smooth without the jitters. Confession!! I also tried the coconut matcha, which is basically coconut water with a matcha cream on top, and wow!! So refreshing! If you're not in the mood for coffee, this is def a go-to summer drink. It's like a light, subtly creamy coconut water with just a hint of matcha, and I loved it. The staff was super friendly and gave out stickers. I'm definitely coming back. We finally got to try Chrome! I've had this place bookmarked for a while and they did not disappoint! First off, plenty of parking and easy to find. Their space is fairly big, kid-friendly--I love the communal table! Ordering was easy and their service is quick! Check out their case of pastries! We arrived around 9am and there were still plenty to choose from. As for the drinks, so many options. I'm more of a matcha girly and my husband is into black coffee. I ordered oat matcha with matcha cream top, wow!! It's perfection in a cup! I enjoyed every sip! My husband got the batch brew, it was also a hit! Best coffee in the South Bay, hands down! Chrome Coffee is such a vibe. Friendly service, amazing drinks, and the owner is seriously the best -- you genuinely feel welcomed every time you walk in. It's busy for a reason, but they work fast and the line moves quickly. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and they are ALL good. My go-to is the coconut espresso cream top with a double shot of espresso or the banana cream latte less sweet. If you're feeling matcha, all their matchas are so good. The coconut matcha is a favorite among friends for a reason. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to. read more

I know chrome coffee studio has a lot of hype surrounding it but it really lived up to it. I ordered the banana cream latte with espresso and it was absolutely delicious; strong coffee flavor with a good hint of banana flavor with every sip. Indoor seating is limited and the line can get long on the weekend, so it's a great grab and go coffee shop. Definitely one of the must try's in the Torrance area. read more

Located in a former sushi restaurant and former Baskin Robbin's, it's now the spot for matcha latte and coffee drinks. The pastries look appetizing too. We came late in the afternoon on a Sunday to get some matcha. Although there was a long line, parking was easy and the service was fast. The baristas who interacted with us were kind and efficient. Good service all around. Vibes are easygoing and there's plenty of seating. We ordered an iced matcha latte and an iced banana latte. The matcha comes sweetened with agave. i've heard a lot of good things about this cafe from my friends that i decided to stop by! i really liked the interior of the place and how everything is chrome themed. very spacious for if you want to do work/study here. i ordered the banana matcha. tastes just as i would like it! perfect balance between matcha and banana pudding on top. because i've been to a lot of cafes in socal, i wouldn't say this stood out to me the most, but i think it is one of the best cafes in the south bay. i would recommend going here if you're in the Torrance area! read more

We got the banana cream matcha and a chrome latte. The banana cream matcha was surprisingly good. I typically don't like banana drinks but this one tasted so good. The banana tasted real and it was a good mix of matcha to banana. Wasn't too sweet imo. The chrome latte was the drink I personally got and it was good. I was able to taste the coffee and for me it was good level of sweetness. I would come here again for the matcha. read more

Finally tried Chrome! It brings a little bit of ktown coffee vibes to southbay. It is a busy place but they are very efficient in their turnout times. I was in line for maybe 10 min, ordered and my drink came out about 3 min later. I got the signature banana matcha. Matcha is a good texture and the perfect amount of sweetness. The banana creme on top is made with real bananas and definitely tastes like real banana. They also have a decent selection of pastries to choose from ranging from savory to sweet. Delicious. This spot was super convenient from my hotel across the street, and perfect for my early morning start. For the 7am open and rush, the staff was very attentive and efficient. I got the banana cream matcha and while I was excited to try this, the banana cream top was not my favorite.. it had the taste of the banana peel everytime I drank it, and it was a little unpleasant. I wanted to like this so much, especially with the raving reviews on this drink, but I could not get past the banana peel taste with the bitters and rind taste read more

I've been here twice since it's opened and I have to say I'm super impressed! The first time I went was a Sunday night with my friend. We only had to wait about 5 minutes or so for our drink & it wasn't too crowded. Today me and a couple friends went around 11am. It was really crowded, with a line of about twelve people, but it went fast! Our drinks were out in probably 5-7 mins. Today I tried the banana espresso latte. So good! First time I went I had to get the banana matcha which is shown in the picture. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you like coffee, matcha, or any types of foam. read more

Ordered espresso yuzu tonic (5/10, just okay. Has a mild yuzu taste, espresso taste a little dry and bitter.) peppermint mocha (8.5/10, great peppermint taste and love how holidays drinks are still available in mid jan, would def taste 10/10 if we got oat milk instead of whole.) Great spot for matcha in the South Bay! I love their Coconut Matcha and Chrome Matcha. The coconut matcha is so refreshing and has the perfect amount of sweetness. I love the Chrome Matcha if I want a creamier drink. The cream top has a good amount of sweetness, and you can taste the quality of the matcha. The cafe gets busy on the weekends but there is a good amount of seating indoors and outdoors, with a large communal table at the center. They also have pastries at the counter. There is a parking lot with a good amount of parking spots available. read more

I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

There were so many stores back in the day that sold them, and now I can't find them as easily. In fact, Caffe Bene is the only place in the South Bay that I know that sells them.
