Was expecting a bit more form this place but it's no different than Moe's or Chipotle. Of the three options, I would choose Moe's any day. We tried a carnitas burrito and a selection of tacos. They tasted good but again, nothing special or out of the ordinary. It always pains me to pay for chips and salsa too considering it's free at Moe's! read more

YESS!! TACOS!! So happy to have discovered this location and even more thrilled to learn more locations are coming soon! This particular location has proven again and again to have amazing, authentic tasting Mexican food, and superb customer service. The owner and one of the older gentleman that works behind the counter always go out of the way to make you feel welcome. Being born and raised in Cali - this is the kind of food I've desperately missed and it's awesome to have a taste of home in my own backyard. I have been to a fair share of Mexican and Mexican-inspired restaurants here in the greater ATL area and despite this being more "fast food" style, the flavors are more spot on then most anywhere else I've been! For what it's worth - it's reminiscent of the small taquerias peppering the central coast of California and Los Angeles where I'm from. So considering what they are...they do it well! If you plan on visiting...try the chronic fries or tots! They'll blow your mind! I could eat them every day...and I try to. read more

I might have to revise this soon but from my first experience, this was not that great. But I am willing to try again! I got the tostada bowl with steak. Now the prices here are a little bit higher that what I would normally pay at Moe's or Chipotle. The steak tasted wonderful. Not too tough to chew and filled with flavor. My issue was with the rest of the ingredients. Now I am a girl that loves her spicy food but DO NOT GET THE HOT SALSA! Its too hot with no flavor and it over powers everything else. I know the place just opened up, but please have the staff better prepared. Especially for the lunch rush crowd. We have to get in and out and we don't like waiting for someone to figure out how to build the food. That is why i have to say i am unimpressed. I'll try something different soon. read more

I REALLLLY want to like this place, I really do, so don't let my two stars turn you away. Here's the quick review: * Food is ok, but I can get a breakfast burrito at all hours. I'm a sucker for a breakfast burrito. * Where this place is lacking is the service! Oh man, the service. If I could get my food and not have to interact with the employees, I would give this a 4 or 5 stars. I can't tell you the number of times I have called to place an order, or tried to order online, only to drive up to the store to place my order and see a completely empty restaurant and two employees just shooting the breeze while the phone rings. Give it a shot! Try it out! Hopefully the good reviews outweigh the bad and this place can get "big" enough to hire better employees who answer the phone. I hope it succeeds! read more

I ordered a small burrito. The girl making it put what looked like a large burrito's worth of ingredients in (which I did not request), so she was ultimately unable to close the burrito when it came to the end of the line. I repeat, I DID NOT request extra portions, so the fact she couldn't close the burrito was not due to my requesting extra ingredients. She just overfilled it. It was on her. I didn't care too much about any of this until she decided, as she's struggling to close the burrito, to blame me for the whole thing, scolding me about ordering a small and suggested next time I should order a large to avoid this. WTF. I've worked in customer service, and I would never place blame on a customer for something that was clearly my error. I didn't make a big deal over it. Some other guy came from the back and was able to close the overfilled burrito and check me out. I'm generally not the type of person to make a scene. I just wanted to leave and eat. I was hoping the burrito was worth it. It wasn't. It was pretty damn mediocre. I don't even think I finished it, which was tragic, since I paid for this crap and took verbal abuse for merely walking in and ordering it. I won't be back. read more

If y'all are local in the area and wanting something along the lines of Willie's or Moe's please give chronic tacos a shot. Extremely affordable and high quality I never have to worry if my food may be over/undercooked or having zero seasoning like other similar locations. I just had lunch at Chronic Taco. I ordered a steak taco with guacamole, cheese & lettuce and a battered shrimp taco with guacamole, cheese & lettuce. I also ordered the queso & tots. (OMG!!!!, so good). The tacos were really good also. I loved their lettuce, I know that is weird but "good" lettuce is important to me. It was green and cut well. I will be back for more. Thanks. Ordered takeout online for lunch for 3 of us. Ordered 2 extra chips and salsa (you have to pay for them) and 1 chips and queso. Ordered fajita veggies (paid extra) on my quesadilla and queso (paid extra) on top. Nothing in the order was correct except 1 of the tacos. Nothing extra we paid for was added to the food or in the bag. I called the manager and told him all of this and his response was "OK". I'm Just sorry I added a 20% tip to my bill when I ordered. We will not be back. Food was mediocre and on a Sunday afternoon only 1 table was full. The other locations are awesome this one is not. read more

Chronic Tacos is the BEST place around to get a quick bite to eat! My wife and I ate there this week, she ordered the California Burrito and I ordered the Surf and Turf, both out of this world! Who would have thought putting fries in a burrito would be so delicious! The atmosphere was top notch, great selection of music and very friendly staff! On top of everything the Tequila options are great, they have your normal house tequila but also have some very classy tequila options as well! I will DEFINITELY be back sooner than later! I stopped in for lunch on Saturday and had the California Burrito. The steak with cooked perfectly and salsa added a perfect freshness. I also had a side of tater tots and they were super crispy and seasoned to perfection. I was greeted immediately and the service was friendly and welcoming. I have been meaning to try Chronic Tacos for a minute. Finally got around to it and I'm really glad that I did! It's a chipotle-esque ordering setup, so you walk through the line and the staff assembles the meal as you choose ingredients. I got a bowl and it was a huge portion that lasted me two meals. The food was delicious and the sauce I chose hit the spot. Will be visiting this place again for quick, good eats. read more

I ordered a veggie burrito with all the fresh veggies and the fajita veggies and my burrito ended up being 90% rice and beans. I know rice and beans are easy and less expensive fillers, but the ratio was super off :-/ Both mine and my husbands burritos were like this. read more

So good!! I've been to other Chronic locations in SoCal and have always been happy with my selection. This time was no exception. Half the "Mexican" places in Atlanta don't even have refried beans!! Chronic does. Super helpful staff - went on a Saturday, guys could not have been nicer. Good food, nice atmosphere and great employees. One little compliant- I got nachos (carnitas are best) and the chips were a little too salty - easy fix. Burrito is amazing, tacos are good too. Real food with simple ingredients - nicely done. read more

First visit and wow. The atmosphere is pretty cool however this place isn't that visible if you don't know it's there. The carnitas burrito was delicious and I would put it above other big names burrito places. Not a lot of choices for salsa flavors but it's good enough. Friendly staff and great food! I personally liked the California style burrito - fries and guac included. Quality fresh ingredients! James, the owner, stopped and greeted us to see how we were doing. A California native with authentic Mexican taste! He mentioned they were getting a liquor license soon too so they will start offering hand crafted margaritas. Definitely will be back! read more

Well I almost walked out disappointed after eating here until the chef came out and explained how it was a crazy night for them because some people quit just a couple of hours back. Their service was really bad and nothing was in order but then I ran into a regular at this place and he mentioned how today was an exception otherwise this place is great. The chef returned our money!! That was a great gesture. This place offers vegetarian protein options so we will be going back for sure. read more

This is my second time here and both times have been so good. We came as a party of 3 and left so happy and full. I love Mexican food holy moly We got the queso and octopus shrimp ceviche as starters. The queso was 3 cheeses: American, cotija, and Oaxacan. They heated it up under a salamander so it was nice and crispy on top, while being gooey all throughout. Also came with a couple of nice salsas. The ceviche was not my favorite because I don't prefer raw(ish) octopus, but the squid ink sauce was very flavorful. For our mains the 3 of us shared the red snapper, tuetano with lamb, and the mixteco poblano pepper. Red snapper had a nice charred smoky flavor from being grilled. Was more meaty than flaky in texture. It was our second time getting the mixteco poblano pepper and it hits. Highly recommend eating with some of the salsa as well if you get queso. The duck carnitas in it wasn't particularly duck-y today, but still very good. Best dish is definitely the tuetano. The bone marrow is so incredibly flavorful with the blue corn tortillas. Add some of the pickled onions and it's hard to go wrong with that flavor combo of salt, fat, and acid. if you're going to order one thing, I'd order this and share with a friend and tbh it's enough to be filling. For dessert we got the volcan de chocolate (basically lava cake). The lava cake and coconut ice cream combo is fantastic. You get bits of coconut flakes as you eat! Fair warning it isn't the brownie texture you may be used to, it's a bit more cakey. Amazing service the whole night! Almost got our cars booted because we forgot to validate until 1.5 hours in but luckily we were fine. The staff let us know they have been booting cars though so be wary!

Great quick casual meal in Alpharetta. We were greeted by the owner, James, who guided us through the menu options. My wife and I each had bowls - hers was the baja style with sauteed shrimp and mine was the baja style with sauteed fish. The shrimp and fish are available as battered or sauteed and those are both made to order. Definitely a plus. Chips are thin, crispy and fresh even though we were dining in between traditional lunch and dinner hours (we were there around 3:30 pm). Inside the restaurant is very clean and there are 2 large TVs that had the NFL pregame on so I could see this being a fun place to catch a game while enjoying a meal and some of the draft beer on tap. read more

This establishment does not only have immaculate food and service, it has some of the best staff I've ever encountered while visiting a restaurant. Especially the owner James was such a big help. I'm not from the US and therefor wanted to know a bit more about the difference when dining out. He was very patient and explained everything very well as English is not my first language. This is the absolute best spot around if you're looking for good quality food that tastes great and is made in a timely manner. The employees are very kind and patient despite long lines. I've been coming here since they opened and it's very convenient that breakfast is served all day! Every time I come here the chicken and carnitas always tastes like the same heavenly goodness as it did the first time! The workers were really helpful and sweet. The two men who were there when we visited were incredible! The owner made sure to check in on us and assure that we were having a good time. This place is literally the best Mexican dine-in fast food I've ever been to. Tops Willy's, Moe's and chipotle. The food just tastes fresh and well made. Not only is the food out of this world, but the service is impeccable. The workers are happy to be doing their jobs and happy to serve their customers. The food is always under cooked I got a chicken quesadilla and threw up the same night the chicken wasn't cooked properly they treat there customers like shit. The managers are lazy and disrespectful the false advertisement a lot The one star is for Benny he is a great cook everyone else is Trash. I visited today and the toco was not as good as it used to be. Worst of all, I sat at the booth eating my lunch and a staff started sweeping in the dining room and ended up sweeping the floor next to me. This is a big turn off for a restaurant to sweep when customers are eating. read more
