On the outside, the restaurant is called "Fortune" but it seems to be a combo of Chubby Boy BBQ and the Noodle Man restaurant as well as Fortune for dim sum. We came here for dim sum and the receipt said "Chubby Boy BBQ" when we paid. Maybe they all are partners in this joint an whatever it is called, as long as the food is good, whatever they call it is fine with me. :) So the inside has 2 dining areas and the center of the place is a BBQ place where you can see roast ducks and Xa Xiu Pork hanging there like any China Town BBQ joint would have. Maybe this is their "Chubby Boy BBQ" here. The BBQ place also offers Soy Sauce chicken, Pork Belly, etc. and you can get half or whole chicken. The Pork Belly (Xa Xiu pork) is per pound. When you are seated for dining in, they will give you a menu as well as the Dim Sum menu, where you can visually see the items and you can check mark or put down how many you want per item. The Dim Sum items are per category of A, B, C, D and the pricing will apply to those areas. eg. items in the A category is $, B is $$, C is $$$ and so on. Once ordered, they will print out the items you ordered and give you that list. As they bring out the ordered items, they will cross that off the list. This system is quite neat because there is no misunderstanding of what was ordered, what has been brought out and what is still "outstanding" till they bring them to your table. It's very efficient and transparent, which I really appreciated. The Food: You can see the quality of the food here which is pleasantly and thankfully very good! We were very pleased that everything looked really fresh and very tasty. Definitely a step above other dim sum places we have had. The staff is very friendly, very quick to respond to you. They were jammed packed for a Sunday lunch time and the staff was running around like crazy. Despite how busy and chaotic things were, they seemed to have managed very well and were quick to respond to tables calling/waving them down. They were very friendly and courteous, unlike most Chinese restaurants where cracking a smile or a friendly look would have been uncalled for. The dining areas are very clean, though, and the decor is nice, not overly done. Overall, a very nice, clean look. The majority of the patrons are Chinese, so that is very telling cuz Chinese patrons are some of the hardest patrons when it comes to services and food quality. lol The bathroom could use some attention but maybe because of the lunch rush, it wasn't as kept up. Definitely a step above other Dim Sum places. Other places are like a Walmart of Dim Sum, this places is like a department store Dim Sum, like Kohl's or Macy's. Glad we found this place and will come back for sure.

Solid spot with good ambiance. A little hard to find from the sign but once you open the door it's actually really big. The roast pork and cha siu were really good!! This is definitely more of a roast meats and dimsum spot. The wonton soup was okay, it was good for me since it was clean and clear soup and I needed that but would probably stick to the dimsum and meats next time. Overall def worth a visit!

Ordered duck. It was cold and all fat and bone, no meat. It was gross. The lady at the front was very nice but I'll never come back here

Pretty easy to get a table, fairly clean restaurant compared to equivalent Chinese restaurants. The food is great, the best dish is the salt & pepper dish filets. They're super crispy and big pieces of fish. As far as other dishes, the hot and sour soup was not too sour, but the right amount of spicy. They also have tasty and chewy handpulled noodles, which are tasty for stir fry dishes too. 1 of the dishes I ordered was the long life noodles. It has the right texture, but could use more mushrooms. Would go again to try some soup noodle dishes.

In A Nutshell: -Chubby Boy BBQ is a great find. -It's co-located w/ a new restaurant called Fortune so just walk inside. -They have a lot of options for duck like Roasted Duck or Peking Duck. -The large Roasted Duck was $40 & you get alot of delicious portions. -Their Green Beans are superb too. -Their classic Fried Rice is another great side dish to order, you get a nice healthy portion. -The service is very friendly & attentive. Overall, I would definitely eat here again, they have a really good food & great service.

Pretty tasty but salty too. Everything we ordered was delicious. Roasted pork: perfectly executed. Crispy skin. Very tender and moist meat. Flavorful. The sauce they provide added even more umami. String beans: people have been Ravi g about these string beans. They were indeed worth the hype. Must be a sprinkling of crack magic. Dried scallop fried rice: again, so tasty and delicious. Rice shouldn't be that tasty. Uncle Roger's favorite ingredient must be in there, right? After the meal, I found my mouth craving a waterfall. I would gladly go back though.

Awesome!!! Among the best Peking Duck if not the best Peking Duck in Las Vegas. The food is very, very authentic and each item ordered was perfect. I went with the Peking Duck, beef chow fun (dry), salt and pepper shrimp, and the sautéed bok choy with garlic bulb, The restaurant itself is beautiful and very very spacious. The front door is extremely deceiving and so out of whack I thought it was hilarious. The kitchen and rest rooms are spotlessly clean. The Peking Duck was perfect. Crisp skin and tender juicy meat. Plenty of buns, Housen sauce etc. The beef chow fun was delicious as was the salt and pepper shrimp. I love. Bok choy. Plenty of parking out front. Noodle Man posters on the wall and the name Noodle Man on the door. Another funny aspect

A Hidden treasure for Chinese BBQ! Found this eatery, just by chance! Roast Duck , Roast Pork CharSui Pork all delicious & good size portions. Service is good, & efficient & the ong choy is a good compliment & the pan fried house special noodles are the best I ever ate! With all the food we ordered, I felt it was very reasonable. Nice spacious dining room & clean. We'll be back to try other dishes! The BBQ is the Bomb! Broke da mouth Good!!!

The lobster was delicious! Is on Special now $19.99. This is highly recommended. The dim sum was pretty good.

Soy sauce chicken. Sooo good. Everything else I eat was demolished before photos but we caught this one by luck!

For sure one of our go to Chinese restaurants period. There's a few go to dishes that we order everytime we are here. Stir Fry Green Beans in XO sauce- It's at the top of our list. We eat this dish with whatever we are doing creating our meal from start to finish. It's a must there hasn't been any restaurant close to executing that dish this good. Fish egg and crab meat fried rice- Probably my favorite place to get fried rice. It's their wok and it's delicious and will order this every meal here too. Those two dishes are our base. Depending on your mood you can go with your BBQ which is roast duck or soy sauce chicken or roast pork all of those dishes are solid picks and noodle dishes from chow fun to chow mein to pan fried crispy chow mein. Also their salt and pepper shrimp was bomb! They deep fry well and batter is also good. Very crunchy but you have to like eating shell and the shrimp head. Otherwise it's probably not for you. Me and my wife love coming here. It always hits the spot if your really hungry.

Stopped in this place on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The place was pretty quiet as it was around 4:00 Pm. We ordered 2 item combos since we wanted to try different things. The food came out pretty fast and was good. Pretty typical but solid. The portions were a bit small but they matched the prices which were good too. Service was decent, except it took a while to get the check as a huge party of older people came in and since there was only one server it took a little while to take their order. Quick, good, and easily accessible.

Bbq Combo - roasted duck and pork

Was craving Chinese style bbq and stumbled upon here. Place is clean and service was friendly. We ordered the roasted duck, salted chicken, roasted pork, and stir fried crispy noodle. I don't know how they do it but the roasted duck was succulent and maintained its crispy skin throughout the entire meal. The salted chicken wasn't oily (which I appreciate) and wasn't overly salty like how other places prepare this dish. The roasted pork was tender and had its signature crispy skin- I recommend asking for the belly portion. Overall, I would go here again. Prices are fairly decent too considering how pricing everywhere for food has been raising pretty high. For example the crispy noodle we ordered here was $5 less than another Chinese restaurant nearby.

I just move to Las Vegas from California so I would like to think I have a well rounded knowledge…read moreon asian cuisine. On social media I've been seen this restaurant "China Mama" been popping up when I browse my Instagram, so today I was set on having lunch at this establishment. When I walked through doors, I was fascinated at the interior design of the place, the walls, tables and lighting because it had an atmosphere of exclusivity in a foodie type of way however at the same time the staff and service was impeccable and very welcoming to newcomers. What I noticed when I sat down is the teapot, the plates and the menu, the reason why I mentioned those things is because in a typical chinese restaurant, you see a white/red plastic plate with a chinese design on the front of the plate with teapots and teacups that have some residue on them. Along with a sticky menu book that sounds like velcro when you pull the pages apart. Rest assured because the dining set at this restaurant is nothing like that and the level of detail the manager or owner put it in must be applauded because it displays that they care for their customers and uphold the highest level of sanitation. The plates and the teapot were immaculate and also the menu was colorful and clear where I didn't know what dish I wanted to pick because I was so astonished with how vibrant the menu was designed. For new restaurants I always conduct my version of a litmus test regarding food. For chinese restaurants I order fried rice and whatever special pork dish they have on hand to gauge the type of quality I can expect. I will say this, I've had homecook fried rice, traditional fried rice and my goodness is this fried rice really spot on when it comes to flavor, seasoning and cook temperature. I order the shrimp egg fried rice and everything was delicious from the star of the dish being the shrimp to the vegetables. The blend was so harmonious that I was silently eating and lost track of time due to it being cooked to perfection. Secondly, I ordered the twice cooked pork with spicy sauce and the tenderness of the pork was so heavenly I indulge in more after more, even when I was full, my body was pushing my hand to eat more because I subconsciously didn't want the sensation of the umami to fade. I have never had a pork dish like that in a chinese restaurant. It's a far drive from where I currently reside so ontop of the lunch I had I decided to order to dish for to go so I can have the experience again for dinner. I order the pan fried pork dumplings along with signature salted egg yolk prawns. As much as I want to encourage people to try the restaurants I share on reviews, I secretly want to keep this restaurant to myself and just keep it hidden so it dosent get packed in the near future where I have to fight over reservations. That being said, whomever is looking for the best pound for pound chinese restaurant in Las Vegas? CHINA MAMA is THE best hidden secret in this city. It was a wonderful experience and it will not be the last time I visit this extraordinary establishment. Update: I took my mom, brother and sister to try this restaurant that I have been endorsing. Let me tell you how the popularity of this restaurant skyrocketed. I got there at 11:30, put my name down for a wait list not even 5 minutes has passed and 4 more people came in to put their name down. After a 20 minute wait there was an additional 12 names that were on the wait list. Service was so fast, and the pan fried pork buns was informed to us that it would take 45 min to a hour to make, of course we ordered appetizer, entrées, to be served to us when it's ready, so in the mean time we can have some food in our belly before the pork buns but that gors to show how popular that food item is and how its taken off. The waiter that waited our table was so excellent that we tipped him 30%, he was amazing. He's chinese with black frame glassess.

Unfortunately the crispy beef wasn't great in our opinion and reminded me personally of the meat quality at Panda Express. Maybe this dish was meant to cater more to the Western palate. I can't believe I haven't written about my favorite dim sum restaurant in Las Vegas! When I heard…read morethat the owners of San Francisco's Koi Palace were launching this concept, I was close to the first in line when they opened. It's been top notch since the very first visit. I have taken friends, clients, and colleagues, and the response has been uniformly positive. The menu has changed over time, but the dim sum classics are all there, often with a nouveau twist. What really got me was coming for dinner with a large group, where we could really savor the seafood, noodle, and meat dishes. I'm not going to run down the list because everything I've tried has been excellent, and I've tried most of the menu. We always enjoy decapitating the crispy mochi ducklings, filled of course with minced pork. The wagyu steak and wagyu fried rice, the xiao long bao with vinegar caviar, and salt and pepper tofu are all winners. The interiors are beautiful and give a different feel wherever you sit. Bring a friend or bring a large group and go to town.

Came here on a Monday evening for dinner with a friend. We had just arrived in Vegas after a long…read moredrive from California, and we were starving! We fortunately arrived right during Happy Hour! I recommended this spot since I was here last time I was in Vegas back in October 2024, and I was also at their Tustin, CA location a few months ago. Ambiance - its nice, great vibes. Decor is looks really pretty, attention to details is spectacular - the artsy vibe incorporating Chinese culture. Plenty of parking - and conveniently right off Spring Mountain Rd in Chinatown. Service was good too. We ordered Enoki Mushroom Fries, Crispy Chicken Sui Mai w/ Sweet Thai Chili Sauce, and Crispy Almond Shrimp Balls from the Happy Hour Menu, as well as Rainbow Shrimp Dumpling, Crispy Mochi Duckling, & Breaded Japan Takanobu Oysters from the regular menu. Food was all very delicious. Dim sum was on the pricier side, but totally worth it. Great dining experience here overall! Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're around Chinatown in Las Vegas! And I'll definitely be back to the Tustin, CA location - and recommend that spot as well for people in the Southern California area!
