    Laotan Sauerkraut with Black Fish
    Felicia C.

My husband and I LOVE Fish With You, we tried it the first time in the San Diego location. We recently moved to Las Vegas and were so happy that they had a location here! We got the Laotan Sauerkraut with Black Fish (extra fish) which is the same dish we got in San Diego. Laotan Sauerkraut with Black Fish (extra fish) - We got the 2 person portion, and it was perfect for us! The first time we had it, we wished that we got extra fish, so we did this time around. They were super generous with the portion of fish, and honestly, the fish here might be one of the best fish I have ever had. It is SO tender (probably a fattier fish) and flaky. The sour soup complimented the fattiness of the fish, and it comes with 4 toppings that are included. We got the vermicelli noodles, tofu, cabbage, and bean curd. Overall, we are definitely coming back!!! We are huge fans of Fish With You!

Happy dance, visited Fish With You twice within one week ( San Diego & Vegas) & I'm loving my Fish With You Moments. There are few changes this time ex. Pork appetizer & some other items on menu plus the combination soup that I got last visit is not longer available, rice is not free or unlimited. Woo helped me the same wait staff that helped me last time was being difficult, I guess it's the language barrier, but everything was fine after we got our soup & bowls of rice. $2. Per order. Went with the new set special soup this time came with veggies & meat with choice of broth. I went with tomato this time since the hubby doesn't care for the peppercorn in the sauerkraut soup. The Laotan sauerkraut fish is my all time favorite/addiction. All in all, happy me- we enjoyed the huge hot pot of soup, stuffed, now time for dessert & more gambling! Trying to squeeze in one visit before we leave.

We got the saurkraut fish soup for two people. The taste is good and its flavored well. Fish is tender and flavorful. Could be more sour, thats my preference.

Pretty impressive to see the Vegas food scene getting a fairly niche China-based chain store like this. It's a great spot for sauerkraut fish soup although portions and prices are definitely geared towards pairs, so definitely come with at least someone else! That being said, I wish the 2-person servings were still a tad bigger for situations where both people have big appetites. As is, I get full just fine but only because I benefit from my wife not eating as much. They offer add-ons, but in my experience, it's not great value and almost feels difficult to discern how the "add-on" is any different from the default quantity.

If you think you've had good fish soup before, think again. This gem tucked inside Shanghai Plaza on Spring Mountain might just ruin all other fish soups for you. The star here? Tender, flaky white fish swimming in a bold, tangy, deeply savory broth layered with pickled mustard greens, fragrant chili oil, and that signature tongue-tingling Sichuan peppercorn heat. It's comforting, punchy, and borderline addictive. Every dish we tried delivered serious flavor: Signature Hot-Oil Sauerkraut Fish - Bright, tangy, and perfectly balanced with silky fish and a rich chili oil finish. Spicy Oil-Tossed Mix - Loaded with heat and aromatics, each bite hits differently. Green Peppercorn Sauerkraut Fish - Fresh, citrusy spice from the green peppercorns that lingers in the best way. Mala Noodle Soup - Numbing, spicy, and deeply satisfying -- a must for mala lovers. Grilled Giant Squid Skewer - Smoky, tender, and generously seasoned. Glutinous Rice Cake with Brown Sugar - Chewy, lightly crisp outside, sweet and nostalgic. Coconut Lava Ball - Soft, sweet, and the perfect creamy finish. Beyond the food, the space is clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing -- bright and welcoming without feeling overdone. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you're a fan of bold Sichuan flavors or just craving something deeply comforting and flavorful, this spot deserves a visit.

Super comforting and tasty food! Fish With You is a newer restaurant in Shanghai Plaza, and apparently a fairly popular worldwide chain with 2500 restaurants. The signature item would be the spicy boiled fish soup in the Signature Hot-Oil Sauerkraut flavor. This is the one I ordered and it was very good. There are also other flavors of soup that are not so spicy and also beef and pork options. I also got the side-order combo where you can pick 2 food items from the list and get a can of soda for ~$8 which is a good deal. Signature Hot-Oil Sauerkraut Fish (Large Size) * 5/5 * Perfectly balanced flavors, it's not too sour or spicy (Chinese numbing spice). The fish is tender, pickled veggies that are still crunchy, and there's a few wide chewy noodles at the bottom. Overall a very good Chinese Fish Pot. I'd say the large bowl feeds 2 people generously. Cold Shredded Potato * 3/5 * Good texture, cool and crunchy, and pairs nicely with the fish soup, but quite bland. It could be more spicy or have an added sour/picked/vinegar flavor. Spicy Crispy Fried Pork * 3/5 * Its good because its fried meat, and was tender and moist, but wasn't that spicy. The only source of spice seems to come from the chili dipping powder. The type of breading used wasn't that crispy. Overall it was a good experience. The service was super friendly and the restaurant is clean and modern. However, the ordering process is all through your phone after scanning the QR code, which can be a little confusing to navigate the website. You can also call the staff to your table through the phone. I would come back to try a different flavor fish soup.

Tried Fish With You in Vegas and it was so good. I got the #1 sour soup with fish and the beef Szechuan soup with vermicelli- were great! sour soup was tangy, spicy, and cozy, and the beef Szechuan one had that deep heat that makes you wanna keep eating. It kind of tasted like hotpot! Portions were huge, everything tasted super fresh, and honestly this place deserves way more recognition. Definitely one of my new favorite comfort meals in Vegas. It's a hidden gem for sure :)

Didn't think I would actually enjoy this type of food as much as I did. My favorite is currently the traditional laotan sauerkraut fish. Tried a few of the other ones but this one still takes the top spot. - crispy pork (this seems like a newer addition since we didn't recall seeing this during previous visits): was pretty decent & would get it again - tomato fish: this was pretty whatever and wouldn't pick to get this one again out of the other selections - mao xue wang: wanted to try this because of all the ingredients in this dish but ended up not caring for this in particular For a group of 3, we usually grab a 2-person-serving and then a 1-person-serving dish and it's just the right amount for us. You can scan the QR code and order through your phone so it's super convenient. No issues with service as it's easy to flag someone and get assistance. They have mobile devices so it's easy to pay at the table and also split checks.

Green peppercorn sauerkraut fish soup, 2-person size with choice of 4 toppings
    Courtney L.

My husband and I first found out about Fish With You through a Yelp Elite event. We loved it and finally decided to pay a return visit since we were craving it! The main downside is the parking. Located in Shanghai Plaza, it shares a parking lot with a bunch of other businesses and we were lucky to snag a spot as someone was leaving despite the tons of cars circling for spots too... Ordering is on your phone via a QR code at your table. You can also flag down a server if you have any questions, and there's even an option on the online menu to request a server to appear tableside for assistance. The workers speak Chinese fluently and enough English where I didn't feel there were any significant language barriers. We got the same thing as last time, the Green Peppercorn Sauerkraut Fish dish. If you love the Sichuan peppercorn flavor (that numbing, mala sensation) and Chinese pickled mustard greens, you will love this dish. The 2-person size is priced at $26.95 vs the 1-person size at $17.95. The default fish it comes with is basa fish but you can pay $3 to change it to black fish. For our 2-person size dish, we were prompted to choose 4 sides and we went with enoki mushroom, tofu, wide glass noodle, and vermicelli. The dish comes with a bowl of white rice for each person. We also ordered a grilled squid skewer as an appetizer, which comes dusted in a spicy powder. We were disappointed to see that the crispy fried pork appetizer was unavailable, as we loved it at our last visit. The food is 10/10, really no complaints. I'm curious to try their other fish sauerkraut soups but I'm such a sucker for Sichuan peppercorn that I don't know if I'll venture beyond that dish. The restaurant was full when we dined in and despite the online ordering process, I found that the service was good and they were able to fill our waters repeatedly without us needing to ask. Ambience is very casual. All of the other patrons besides us were speaking Chinese, and there is Chinese music playing overhead.

This place is so good! We got the lemon and green peppercorn soups, and they were the perfect combo - one being tangy and kind of refreshing, while the other was savory and perfectly balanced. And the fish was delicious, no complaints. The one-person size is literally the perfect amount of food for one person, too. AND the service was A+! Will definitely be going back here!

Heard good things about this relatively new restaurant and decided to give it a try. The decor is modern, simple, and chic. For the two of us we ordered a Grilled Giant Squid Skewer and a Classic Spicy Fish for 2 with Snakehead (with 3 side dishes: tofu, wood ear fungus, and wide glass noodles). It also came with free rice. The Grilled Giant Squid Skewer was as good as advertised, perfectly grilled and really tender and delicious. The Classic Spicy Fish came with a really generous amount of fresh, tasty fish. The side dishes also complimented it very nicely. The soup was extremely flavorful and spicy. We had leftovers to bring home! Service was excellent, the owner came over and chatted with us and explained to us about the restaurant chain and the special sauerkraut. Food was excellent; prices were great. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like fish.

I came here recently and tried two different soups, both of them were so delicious. One was a bit more on the sour side (which I like) and the other was spicy! The spicy one had a decent amount of spice which I enjoyed but was a bit too spicy for my friend who has a lower spicy tolerance. It was empty when I went but maybe it was the time of day? The staff was kin and the food didn't take long.

Let's start with the highlights of this place- This restaurant has what I'd call "sexy food"- dishes that look like they came straight out of a fine dining restaurant, BUT here, at a MUCH more affordable price! ESPECIALLY DURING HAPPY HOUR!! ( 11 PM - 3 AM). Here are the MUST TRY's: The Gyoza- AMAZING flavor and texture. (Happy Hour Dish) The Sashimis- All come with a citrusy yuzu soy sauce. I love the Yellowtail and Salmon one especially! (Salmon Sashimi is a Happy Hour Dish) Black Cod Lettuce Wraps- Umami, crunchy, satisfying! Chicken/Beef Kushi- the sauces for these- just WOW! (Happy Hour Dish) The New York Strip- Look at the presentation! Amazing! The side seasoning, the greens and chili threads- they all pair with this beautifully cooked steak very well! They do have pricier dishes- even a full Chef's Tasting Menu! But since I usually just come for a quick bite late at night, I don't really get those. Ambience- it is a small restaurant, but not too busy. I find that a lot of late night workers come here for a nice fancy, but affordable dinner. This place is great for groups of friends. What needs work- I do love the food of this restaurant, but there are some things that hurt it. I'd love to see them overcome these obstacles and turn out even more popular on the other side! The Outside- I'm not sure if it's the sewage or something, but around the corner spot where this restaurant is located, there's just this awful, stinky smell. I feel like that issue hurts the restaurant, especially for people who would want to dine outside. The hospitality- the staff is fast- hard working- efficient and good at their job. I don't have to wait much for my food to come out. But I feel like there is a lack of hospitality- I get the feeling that they're disinterested in you being their guest- I don't exactly feel welcome and it just comes across as they're just trying to get the job done. Closing Time- Happy Hour and Online Apple/Google Maps says this restaurant closes at 3am- however, there have been times where this restaurant stops seating or taking in orders before 2am. So just be aware that you may not be able to eat there if you go past 2. Fried Rice/Yakisoba- The rice and the noodles are great, but there's something funky about the protein. When I've ordered beef yakisoba before, the beef tastes funky- not fresh. I feel like these are strong side dishes, but I do question the freshness/flavor of the protein added to these dishes.

Customer service was on point from start to finish, and every dish came out fresh and hot. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and were honestly impressed across the board. The gyoza ($6) was perfectly pan-fried with a great crispy bottom, and the filling was packed with flavor. The dipping sauce had just the right hint of spice to bring it all together. The takoyaki ($6) were hands down some of the best we've had at any restaurant. Super crispy on the outside, and when you bite in, the inside just melts and oozes out, so good and full of flavor. The squid leg karaage ($10) was a great starter. Squeezing fresh lemon over it and dipping it in the mayo and spicy sauce combo made it even better. Definitely recommend this one. We were especially excited about the soft shell crab ($9) since it's hard to find it served on its own. It did not disappoint... perfect crunch, great flavor, and the dipping sauce really elevated it. The tonkatsu curry ($13) was a standout. The jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, the curry had rich flavor with tender carrots throughout, and the katsu was fried to perfection... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Easily a 10/10 dish. The curry udon ($9) is perfect if you're craving something comforting...just curry and noodles done right. The udon ($8) had a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, simple but executed really well. The crazy dragon roll ($13) was definitely a highlight. The amount of eel on top was impressive, and the roll itself was a great size. Everything from the rice to the flavor balance was spot on. Every dish that came out had us smiling, we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend this spot, and we'll definitely be back again soon!

Enormous disappointment…read more We were so looking forward to our meal here. I'm in my "seafood period" right now and I was excited at the potential I saw in the menu here. It's beautiful. But you no doubt know that from all of the Insta pics. Plan on some extra time to allow all of the wannabe influencers that are staging photo shoots at the entrance, which is famously decked out in fake flowers and pretty vignettes. It's all downhill from there. We were about 10 minutes early for our 5:30 reservation and the hostess told us she would seat us "closer to our reservation time". OK. That is sort of unusual since the restaurant seemed empty but sure. 5:30 came and went. We went back up to the hostess stand... apparently there was some shift change that was holding things up. Again, that's OK. But there was an attitude about it all that wasn't very friendly. We were shown to our table soon and it was a nice curvy booth. We both noticed pretty quickly that the music is too loud. That makes everyone have to talk loudly so you will be surrounded by tables of people yelling at each other. Our server seemed distinctly unimpressed that we didn't order any alcohol. You could see the moment he lost interest in us. When my partner asked about the chicken he sort of menu shamed us. We ordered expensive food so his attitude was unnecessary and he did warm up a bit after that. I had the seafood tower for one. This is $68 a person. When they put it in front of me, I was honestly confused. I couldn't hear a thing our server was saying over the loud music so I missed his descriptions of the items. There was something so bizarre on this seafood tower - something that looked like an oyster shell full of whipped cream. What in the world? Oh it's so much worse than that. To my horror, I tried it and found this is some sort of absolutely foul lemongrass cream or some nonsense like that. It was an enormous amount of it - a full mouthful and at the bottom of the shell was supposedly an oyster. I didn't find it and I wouldn't want to eat an oyster that had been sitting in that offensive pool. Wow. That is so amazingly bad. Nowhere on the menu do they warn you what they are going to do to your oysters. It's truly appalling - so bad in fact that I just had to say something to the waiter. He seemed surprised but I don't buy it. This cannot be popular. Anyway, rant over. The rest of the seafood tower was just OK. The lobster was tiny and not super fresh. The shrimp were sort of "meh" but the hit surprisingly was the scallop ceviche... very nice and bright. Note there is no bread either offered or on the menu. Felt weird. It's needed. For our main course, my partner got the filet mignon and a side lobster tail. His lobster was also of the "wee" variety and a bit tough. Steak was nice though and cooked as requested. I had the Truffle Mushroom with Spaghetti and added the jumbo shrimp. This was also terrible. I thought I liked truffles - but I bit into something in this dish that again I can only describe as foul. And the sauce was just too much and overwhelming. I ate about three bites and just gave up. We spent about $260 before tip. With no drinks. This was a pretty stunningly bad meal.
