The place is super cute and decorate well! It's clean and a everyone was so nice and attentive which made for a really welcoming environment. I really wanted to love the food but my Italo Peruano was way too spicy when the description on the menu/the ingredients listed didn't indicate anything that would give it that much heat. Also the steak was cut very large for being served in a pasta dish and in a bowl where it was very difficult to cut it. The Lomo was good but too salty. The dessert we shared however was amazing! We got the churros which came with chocolate sauce, strawberry puree and Lucuma ice cream! They told us it was a South American fruit! It's hard to describe the flavor but it was awesome! Kind of like a caramel/butterscotch with notes of sweet potato and maple syrup! It doesn't sound like it would all work together but it absolutely does! Overall we had a good experience and would be totally willing to come try the food again next time we are in the area!

Something about the sign aesthetic made me think it would be a good place. I Yelp-Searched it, and Lima 32 damn near had a perfect rating based on less than 50 reviews. I'm a Food Blogger. So I try to explore new places and avoid repeating spots I know. I've eaten at Lima 32 three times since January. Lima 32 is a small casual Peruvian spot located in a very small plaza in Meriden. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. Huge pieces of chicken. Eat it with the delicious Aji Verde sauce. Is Lima 32 hidden? I don't know. But it sure the hell is a gem. It's must visit. 5 Stars

Los Andes is absolutely delicious whenever you're in Rhode Island!…read more I didn't realize at first that I had actually visited 4 years ago. I just remembered having amazing ceviche in RI back then, and randomly stumbling upon them again made me realize it was the same spot, and it's still just as delicious! Ceviche Mixto (5/5): Hands down one of the best ceviches I've ever had. Churrasco al Gaucho with Mashed Potatoes (4.5/5): Tender, delicious steak and great mashed potatoes all around. Andina Empanadas (4.25/5): Super meaty, perfectly puffy, and nicely crisp. There was a slight hint of sweetness I wasn't expecting, but I still really enjoyed them. Jalea (4/5): A generous portion of fried seafood. Good overall Classic Paella (4/5): Solid paella, though nothing super standout. Calamari (3.75/5): Good flavor, but the pieces were a little too small for my liking.

Jalea: I don't usually like fried seafood, but this was really good! Besides the usual oysters, quahogs, shrimp, mussels, and squid, they also had South American specialties like paiche and pota. The batter was just the right consistency, not too thick, so it was crispy but not hard, and not too greasy, allowing you to taste the natural flavor of the seafood. The best dish was the fried shrimp; the thin, crispy shell concealed incredibly smooth and tender shrimp inside. The yucca fries were thickly cut, crispy on the outside and delicate on the inside, very satisfying. I recommend ordering an extra side of chili sauce; the waiter called it "extra spicy," but it's actually a salsa-like sweet and sour sauce--refreshing and mildly spicy, very refreshing. 903 Tasting: A platter of three signature dishes, perfect for first-timers. Ceviche Mixto had a milder sourness, making it easy to put in mouth, but it was a bit monotonous, and the scallops were a little mushy. Jaleita was basically a smaller version of Jalea. Arroz con Mariscos was similar to Spanish paella, but it was noticeably more tomato-based in sourness, with a hint of cheese. The rice wasn't too soggy either, making it the best of the three. Lomo Saltado: A classic Peruvian dish, and well-made. The beef is very flavorful, emphasizing the tomato's acidity rather than the soy sauce's saltiness, and the gamey taste was well removed. Although it was a bit overcooked , it was generally acceptable. By the way, their backyard was really beautiful!

Located in a strip mall the place may be small in square footage but big on ambiance. We arrived about 6pm and were lucky enough to score a two seat table. It was almost filled to capacity with lots of diners enjoying their meals. With great Latin music playing and laid back vibe, I was looking forward to a great meal. John our server was polite and efficient. We started off with traditional Peruvian golden lager, Cusquena. Crisp and delicious! Two ceviche appetizers and two steak entrees. We're ceviche lovers and throughly enjoyed those dishes. The Honey enjoyed his Lomo Saltado. The traditional Peruvian stir fry dish. Strips of beef sirloin, red peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with French fries and white rice. My Tacu Tacu Steak with rice and beans was a hit, and miss. The steak was tough and the rice and beans, really "starchy". It's hard to explain they tasted heavy and sticky. The portions are generous so I had leftovers for home. Surprisingly, the dish tasted better the next day. The menu highlights their Happy Hour and Wine Down Wednesdays. We're looking forward to returning for one or both :) of those! I love peruvian, particularly Saltado but I don't eat beef anymore so I went with the pollo saltado and let me say it was better than 95 percent of saltados I have had including the lomos. I didn't miss the beef! The chicken was juicy and tender the fries were deliciously soaked in the most amazing sauce. It was drinkable that sauce. The creamy green sauce was a great addition to the dish but it was so good on its own. The portion size was enormous! Easily had three meals out of it. My spouse had the pollo chaufa and we both thought it was one of the best chicken fried rice type dishes ever. The fried nuts (seeds?) they provide complimentary were sooo addictive. It was hard not to keep eating them. Finally the service was really excellent. The woman who waited on us could not have been kinder and more friendly. 10/10 all around great food and service.

The empanadas were large and underwhelming. There is a lot of variety in empanadas across Latin America, but these were just middling at best and completely lacking in flavor. The ground beef had a good amount of underwhelming filling. However, the two with chicken in them were more dough than anything else and pretty insipid.
