We like to come here on the 4th of July so it won't be as busy. This year with all the rain in the area, it was busier than past years. They added a trampoline in the back. It requires a wristband and special socks they sell so keep that in mind if you plan on using it. Video games are loaded by time or by play points. We like to opt for the time however now that they have the trampoline you may want to keep that in mind if you have a game card that uses time so you can pause the time on them or get a game card later once the kids are exhausted from the trampoline. The staff was busy keeping the tables clean as I didn't see tables with food left out. Chuck E Cheese came out to dance with the kids and it was fun. I was pleasantly surprised by this Chuck E. Cheese location. Compared to the other one I've been to in Austin, this location is pretty updated and clean. My daughters enjoyed the games and rides; I like that they have activities for all age groups available. We went at opening time on a Saturday morning and didn't encounter too many crowds. Food is overpriced and pretty average tasting. Be prepared for a long wait once you order, especially if there are birthday parties taking place at the same time. The trampoline is a cool addition but frustrating that it requires a hefty extra fee of $12 per child. Overall positive experience. We will be back! read more

They've completely turned it around here! I frequent this location and they've got all new staff. They are kind and seem to enjoy being there! The pizza here is so good! Soda nice and crisp! Great salad bar too but they need to wash them grapes a little more. Dipping dots and cotton candy are a must! So we signed up for the Summer fun pass for 2 months the bronze option and I would say that we really got our money's worth. We actually ended up spending more than we wanted to. So now I'm glad that they have rolled out this new monthly option because I might go with the Platinum one or whatever the $30 a month one is because that's what we usually ended up spending in one visit and so the kids run through here in a quick amount of time. And honestly, if you go when there's not parties during the week or little later, it is really fine. The staff is great, they're doing the best they can with the chaos that they're dealt with. The games are really fun and they are mostly working. It's clean enough, but I definitely would not recommend the salad bar for some of the other reviews that I saw where people got food poisoning. It does always look fresh and delicious, but I really think that if you're going to go there, just stick to the pizza because that is what they're really good at. But we also bring in our reusable cups for water and it is fine. read more

If it wasn't for my boys I would never ever come here! Even if invited... for a party.. if not for them I would NEVER COME HERE! My boys School holds fund raising events here every year and I wish they would find another venue. However my boys love it here because of the games and the games... and more games. I refuse to eat the food here! Not enough beer in their taps to make me want to eat here! We walk in and the tables are dirty, dirt, dirty. We got here early because last year everything was dirty... garbage piled up everywhere... so this year we came before 5 to try and avoid that. I figured it would not be "hellions on wheels" yet if we got here early and we might escape with out the several sicknesses we would surly get if we were here late.... however upon walking in the tables are already not being cleared (old food sitting there, discarded plates, used napkins, old cups and not a soul to be seen cleaning! The 6 or more table stayed like this for a long time), the salad bar was starting to look disheveled (last year by 7 it was a disaster and disgusting), and the floor.. my goodness the floor... yikes it was already beginning to capture that sticky feeling of complete disgust! If they keep the front of the place like this can you imagine what the kitchen is like? And the over all feeling here is no one cares!! There is no way I would eat here.... hold a party here.. or come here if not for the school and my boys. I pray that if we are still in this same school next year they will find a different location for this fundraiser... PLEASE! I swear I'll work on it! Excellent every time. My children beg to come here so we do quite often. I've never thought to review them but here it goes. This location is always clean, always well staffed, and the machines work. Their lunchtime salad bar and pizza is fresh and they will make whatever two topping combination you would like to put on the bar. This place is an excellent value for how much you pay for each token or ride. I calculated each ride costing less than twenty cents. Now, Chunk E Cheese's has to be one of the best places to go for lunch EVER! When you walk into Chunk E Cheese's, your mind is immediately boggled with incredible sights and sounds! There's all of this stuff to do! The whole place is filled with games and entertainment of various sorts. I don't even know where to begin, but the first thing you'll probably notice is the crazy Whack-A-Mole game, which has always been one of my favorites. If you haven't experienced playing Whack-A-Mole, let me give you the rundown. You see, there's this hammer attached to this box, and on top of the box, there's all these holes. You pick up the hammer, and then you put a special Chunk E Cheese token in the coin slot on the box (the lady behind the counter gave me some free tokens when I showed her my strait "A" report card from St. Edwards University). Suddenly and without warning, all of these moles start popping up out of the holes. You have to be VERY quick! Hit the moles on the head with the hammer as fast as you can before they disappear! The object of the game is to hit as many moles in the head with the hammer before the moles get tired and go back to sleep, because they don't look out of the holes anymore when they sleep and you have to give them another token to wake them back up. Sometimes, the mole box spits out tickets (which come out of another slot on the box). You can take the tickets to a counter inside the restaurant and the lady will give you a plastic Chunk E Cheese's pocket comb and a little pencil eraser. I played Whack-A-Mole for so long that I had forgotten I ordered pizza. I took one bite of my pizza and then I spit it out. It was the WORSE stuff I think I have ever put in my mouth! I was too excited to eat, anyway, because I had some more moles that needed whacking! To sum it all up, I highly recommend Chunk E Cheese's for lunch or dinner, so long as you're not hungry. read more

The tables are always filthy, so it makes it hard to grab one...and once you do you'll have to clean it, and if you get up you best be done and not wanting to return to it. Kids are rambunctious. It doesn't help when they are left to venture all on their own with virtually no supervision. Did my kids have a good time? YES Did I have a good time? depends on how you look at it. My salad sucked, I had to clean my table, I was ran into multiple times, I had to pull a kid off my daughter and find her parents...but my kids had fun.. so I guess that was OK... after all, I was there for them not me. I had my friends 6 yr old birthday party here. This is the first time I've been to a birthday here. They actually do a really good job organizing it. The table for all the kids was setup already when we came. Her son had the guitar hero theme and his guitar balloon was an instant hit! Today was the first time I left upset and concerned about what is happening there. When I told the manager that the ranch dressing on the salad bar tasted like it was off she told me it was fine just low fat. she said she would ask her manager about it when she sees him. The young girl I was with had taken a mouthful of her salad and actually gagged because of the taste. I tried a small taste and it tasted like the Mayo in it had gone bad. Yes, I have tasted rancid mayo based dressing before. This person has no idea what spoiled dressing can do to a child Honestly, she could have removed the dressing while I was there and put it back when I left. She showed no signs of concern for the people in her business. People have died because of spoiled mayo based dressing. Honestly I go into this Chuck E Cheese at least once a month and spend 100-150 Each visit on just this young girl. It will be a long time before I make the trip in again. I have been taking my little man to Chuck e cheese since he was a year old. There use to be three locations in Austin but now only two. I like both locations but before he was big enough to go in the big play area I liked this location because it had a little play area for toddlers and they can climb and play. I like taking little man here on weekdays. He can run and play and there is no waiting to Play a game. He is very big for his age but he is still barely 2 and not having bigger kids running him over is nice. We have been there many times being the only ones there. Now that he cam go in the big play area urns fun watching him climb up. He only gets a limited amount of coins than he can play or leave. I was very nervou the first time he he went up there. We went here today for my baby's 1st birthday. The animatronic show was not working. The "manager" put on a video that was showing information meant for the staff and said it would start shortly. They told us the show happens every 30 mins. We were there 2 1/2 hours and never saw the show. They had a person dress up and come out as Chuck-E-Cheese who came out for 10 mins and took a few photos. He had no personality when interacting with the children. When I asked if there was a manager there to speak with, a young girl told me she was the manager. I asked her when the animatronic show would start, and she then informed me that no one there was trained to start it. This is unacceptable. How does no one there not know how to start the show?!?? My 5 grandchildren love Chuck E. Cheese, but not this location. My husband and I often take the children to the Mopac location (which is wonderful) and today was our third, and last attempt to go here. This location is closer to Dell and other places our children and their spouses work (grandchildren's parents). On all three occasions the buffet was empty, they said they were short staffed and many of the children's arcade games were not working. We arrived today at 12:15 the buffet was empty and after spending over $100.00, we were told that there would be a 10 minute wait, more pizzas were in the oven. At 1:00, the buffet was still empty, several people were complaining that they had been there over an hour...and still no pizza. Several in our group only had an hour for lunch, so they had to leave. The female manager did refund the food portion on our bill. My problem is the attitude of the manager and the counter help. The counter help said the manager was talking to a FedEx man, who was her friend. He also said that the pizzas were frozen and it would be at least another 30 minutes before one would be ready. The manager just didn't care at all! No apology, no concern, but took over 5 minutes to give us a refund. Sad, the place had more customers leaving then staying. read more

So I've been here a few times, during the week and on weekends... My first visit was on a week day and we had fun, not many people, pizza was decent, my daughter loved it, it's meant for kids and it left my daughter exhausted, we had a blast, this visit was a 4 star. My second visit was a birthday party on a weekend..... WOW, never coming here again on the weekend. I hate to base my review on how busy it was, but it was hard to walk around, people were crammed in the party section. The staff was really great, but it seems chaotic on the weekends and most of the ticket counting machines were out of order. I do like the small children area, I felt like I could let my 10 month old crawl around without someone stepping on her. Took my 21 month here for her first taste of the Big Cheesy Mouse. She had a pretty good time. She was too little for most of the games, but they have a small section that is for people just her size. With a small slide, rides, and a few games geared toward the little ones, it was enough to entertain for a couple of hours. Not to mention they have performances from Mr. Cheese himself every half hour or so. He is behind a podium which is great for little ones that like the costumed characters but run in fear if they come too close. At the front entrance they stamp each kid and parent with a matching special glowing ink and then double check it when you leave to make sure you are leaving with who you came with. Pretty nice feature, if you ask me. The Chuck E Cheese website has coupons too so check it out before you go to get a good deal. We went around 9:45am and it was dead. So, as everywhere else, go early to avoid the big kid crowds. read more
