But I'm disappointed in all the changes they made: no ball pit, no indoor playground area for kids like when I was little, no stage or animatronic characters. Each time we visit, the staff are so kind and patient with the children. Yesterday, the staff were wiping down all the tables, making sure all of the games worked and saying hello to all the children. At the end when my grandson couldn't decide on his prizes and was getting a little overwhelmed, the gentleman behind the counter leaned over, and once he had my grandson's attention, smiled and quietly said "Little man, you take all the time you need to pick out what you want, it's ok". This instantly made my grandson feel better and he happily picked out what he wanted. And I have to say, the staff are always amazing like this. read more

Took my autistic son today and they didn't have enough employees to bring out Chuckie. What is the point if there is no Chuckie. They offered me a sticker while I was pulling my screaming child out of the place. Thanks for horrible experience. Really 5 stars for a chuck e cheese? That is because i was blown away with the great staff and service we had for my sons birthday "party" last night. The party packages are all for 6 or more kids but honestly with covid he has met hardly any other kiddos so we only had 4 total. We ended up coming in and just doing a hour free play for each kid and we were added a bonus for 30 extra minutes per child to the card. It was just perfect. My parents and in laws also came and we got 4 pizzas and drinks and it was perfect for a 5 year old. Even with just us and a few other kids chuckie came out and was SO good! really animated and took pictures and danced with the kids. My son is hugger and was so excited he almost started to cry. The staff was so helpful, food came out right away and i saw one person deep cleaning the ice cream freezer area when we came in. Food was great. One employee really graved my attention, Jose was non stop cleaning, making sure games were working and trying to keep up with everything. If I could I'd give this place NO STARS! Ladies working were rude as could be. Turned us and our kids away because they closed an hour early WITHOUT saying anything to anyone so my kids couldn't redeem their tickets. Observation: I've been to other CEC that have "floor attendants" that help customers when the games don't work properly (takes your coin won't let you play, gives you wrong number of tickets, ticket counter jammed...). Took my 6 yr old to celebrate her birthday. Spent almost $100. The 2 large Pizzas we got seemed like mediums and tasted bland. My husband and I also got the salad bar. I expected more options for 7.95 a piece. Came across 5 games that didn't work (either jammed or just broken). With all that said my kid had a great time. I take my daughter there just to play the games. There is a good selection of games for a 7 year old and they only cost 1 token. It's a great place to let your kids go run amok and get rid of some of that extra energy, but holy crap, parents need to learn how to keep an eye on their demon spawn! I had kids running into me left and right, not caring who they knocked over. Granted this isn't Chuck E Cheese's fault, but the nasty bathrooms were. Ew. We arrived at the Chuck E. Cheese in Batavia promptly at 10 a.m. when they opened today, and were the first customers inside. We found dirty tables with whole pieces of dried pepperoni, dirty socks, smashed pizza crust on the floor, a dental pic and much more filth. Are your employees not required to have the restaurant clean upon opening? And while sitting at our table a light fell out of the ceiling and the bracket came within inches of striking a man on the head! If I could give this place zero stars I totally would!!! My 2 year old just got out of the building that is supposedly super secure and safe . Now before people say how can a 2 year old can get away from someone .Everyone knows of a moment when their child runs ahead and you go after them. Well I didn't panic because I know that there is an employee by the door that does not allow anyone to leave without checking their stamp on the arm matches the child. Well the employee did not notice my daughter running right in front of him/past him which is his only job! A family had the door open and my daughter started to leave the building without anyone stopping her! The employee had noticed this and notice me yelling after her and he still did nothing! thank goodness the family noticed and got my daughter to go back into the building and I was able to get her .After speaking with the manager on duty I hardly got any remorse let alone an apology . Do not bring your children here. The employees and management do not care about you or your child's safety despite what they claim to say . read more

I haven't been to a Chuck E. Cheese since my kids were teenagers so it was a bit of a shock. Is it my memory, or was the food better long ago? That being said, my grandson had a blast! It was circus time and he was so excited. The games were fun and only cost one token each. As long as he is happy with Chuck E, I'm happy. The nice thing is its right down the street, but next time I know I'll eat before going. He's too young to not realize the pizza is a bit mediocre, but to him pizza is bliss so it didn't matter. He loved interacting with other kids his age, so we will go back of sure. read more

It is what it is, so what else can be said? It is to my understanding that the food here at the Batavia location is better than that at Streamwood/Hanover Park one, but I honestly don't know as I've never been. However, with that said, even the food at this location is nothing to get something too excited about. We ordered a sausage pizza and I would say it is better than a Tombstone and better than Little Caesar's, but beyond that you are pushing it, so nothing memorable. We also ordered two salad bars, and though it was mediocre, it was a good alternative that I was happy to have and I'd definitely order it again. The good news is you don't have to order food if you don't want to because that over-sized mouse is all too happy to let you and your children come in and drop as many coins into his machines as you want. This place is sheer heaven for a kid and yet simultaneously hell for any adult or parent. Perhaps that's why kids love it?! The games are all newer and fairly inexpensive (they take one "coin" which is equal to .25), so you don't feel like you are dropping a ton of money while there, but that is also coming from the parent of a 2.5 year old. I can't imagine the amount of coin you could/would drop if your kids were older. I certainly could have gotten my son a happy meal, had him eat it in the car, walked into Chuck E. Cheese with a $10 and the entire afternoon could have been over for less than $15. We did go on a Thursday night so I am sure the crowds were lighter than the would be on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, but it was still pretty busy up until the time we left which was about 8. I have been duly warned that if you value your life you will avoid that place at all cost on the weekends as it becomes birthday party central. Thankfully, they do have the safety feature of hand stamps at the door where the only people that can leave w/ you are those that share the same hand stamp (i.e. your kids since you both walked in together). Not only did I personally watch them stamp our hands, move the stamp around so that our stamps would be unique, but also check each and every hand under the black light as people left the building. Definite kudos for this! My other HUGE warning is that if you don't watch out for your child no one else will! I found that out big time here at Chuck E. Cheese. They do have a slide and jungle gym attraction here, and of course it is a mecca for kids; however, it is really only intended for small children, but that neither keeps larger children out of it nor does it occur to their parents to point that out. Kids were climbing UP the slide, despite that being the only way down, and in a dark, covered slide that can be scary and confusing for a little guy. As I was standing there waiting for my son to come down I hear him SCREAMING as he is on the way down, and as I meet him at the bottom he tells me that an older kid pushed him down the slide- beautiful thing when kids are climbing up it huh?! The straw that broke the camel's back was the 4 year old girl who LAID across the end of the slide, and then hung upside down from it- despite me telling her no fewer than 6 times to get off the end because other kids were coming down. For a brief moment she looked at me kind of like my dogs do- head cocked and fogged over. The rest of the time I could have sworn that she was hard of hearing because she didn't even acknowledge me. WHAT?! At this stage of the game, you'd think that her parents would have witnessed any or all of this as it had gone on for several minutes, but no one ever came over, no one ever tended to her, and certainly no one came to me to ask why was I telling their kid to move. Finally her 8 or 9 year old sister came over and gently took her hand and led her to a different game... It was at that moment that I seriously thought I'd entered an alternate universe! The good news is- despite the so-so food, loudness, children running around wild, the potential to drop half of your mortgage money and end up with only a super cool pair of Kanye West-esque shades, the parents that are stuck on stupid, and the cost of a bottle of Advil- your kids will LOVE it and better yet: THEY SERVE BEER! read more

My boyfriend and I took our 2 yr old son here and we had so much fun pizza wasn't that bad but you don't go for the pizza you go for your kids and let them have fun and boy did my son have a blast! I actually don't mind it here, I think we all know what we're signing up for before walking in to a kid place. However, their "pizza" is literally painfully bad. It taste like flavored cardboard. And it has never sat right in my stomach before. But for the first time I can say that I've only slept 3 hours all night because I'm having such painful stabbing gas pains. It hurts so bad that for the little time I did sleep I was having nightmares about being in active labor. So I will take note....never EVER eat here again! read more

I live nearby, thus visit this chuck e cheese, often. It is always clean, they ALWAYS implement Kid Check (more than any other location), the staff is beyond nice to the children and parents...and I cannot imagine how challenging that might be given their exposure on a daily basis ;) The food keeps getting better and better. I recently went on a school holiday, and albeit very busy, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable time thanks to the staff... especially Juan and Michael that day. My special needs child did have a slight meltdown due to the ice cream machine malfunction, but as usual they handle it with calm and non-judgement. Thank you Chuck E Cheese francise for guest internet access, for treating my children like royalty (which I see you do for all children), and for the positive experiences. We took our 2 1/2 year old here today for lunch and to get out of the house. It was my first time here. My little one loved it, and it was hard to get him to leave, although the mouse walking around scared the living daylights out of him. There are plenty of games here for the kids, and I have to say, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. They had the all you can eat pizza buffet for lunch, and there were 5 or 6 different pizzas (seemed very fresh) and a cinnamon pizza type dessert. There was also a very small salad selection included. All for 5.99 for adults. Kids 2 and under eat free for the buffet. The employees were all so incredibly nice. We will be back, just because the little one enjoyed it; except for the mouse :) read more

I must say....very disappointing!! They say fast pizza yet not what we experienced at all. I know that I'm dining at Chuckie Cheese and not to expect the best quality of food, but I don't understand why I have to go up to associates not once, but twice, to ask where my order was. The first time we ordered 2 large stuffed pizzas. One came out after about 30mins after 20mins I went up to ask where the other pizza was. Within 2mins, it was delivered with a fast apology. About 40mins later, extra guests showed up and we ordered an individual pizza. After 50mins, I went up to ask where the pizza was. An associate said, "I'm sorry. Let me go see." Within 2mins the pizza was delivered. I asked if it was just left under the heat lamp so long and forgotten about and the associate said, "No. They told me the wrong number so I had to go back and get the pizza from that table." So they have me pizza that was delivered to someone else's table first. I didn't want to wait another 50mins for a pizza so kept it. I just can't believe how long pizza of this caliber can take and I can't believe that it's ok to re-serve pizza after its already been served to another table. I'm in hospitality myself and this is just unacceptable! You leave food where you put it!That's just a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

This is a great place to bring the kids and the games are fun for adults too! Every game costs one token and tokens cost between 30 and 33 cents depending on how many you purchase. The pizza is good, kids love it and I enjoy it too. The cheesy bread is great! Some of the rides take pictures that print out right on the ride, which I think is neat. They always make sure the salad bar is clean and has enough food for people, when you leave and you have left overs instead of throwing your food they took us boxes instead we wanted to take our food. read more

My family was recently at Chuck E Cheese's (during the weekday) and the kids had a blast. The food has improved and they have lots of new games. It was extremely clean and the staff was really nice. Did anyone else notice their kids get pink eye after going to chuck e cheese?  We had a party at chuck E Cheese and it was a lot of fun, the food was ok, and my son had a lot of fun.  The next day we are at the doctor because my sons eyes are itching and he got sick at the store.  The doctor says he has pink eye.  My son has been sick maybe 3 times since he was born and we didn't leave the house for a couple days before the party, so I'm not saying it was from chuck e cheese, but .........  Regardless of where he got it, I contacted chuck e cheese and here is the email that I sent to Coralisa. "Coralisa Guest Relation Complaint Hello, I'm at work and it's tough to get time to talk because I have meetings on and off, but if you call and I miss your call I'll try and call you right back.  I wanted to let you guys know before any other kids get it.  We never left the house on Saturday and Sunday was the party and Monday he was at the doctor and they said he had pinkeye.  I know what he was playing on that day if you want to clean." So Coralisa calls me and tells me I can't prove that he contacted it there and that everything is cleaned.  He was in the hamster cage that the kids play in above the games, so maybe they do clean it, but really how clean is it.  Instead of asking me where he was and what day and telling me they will do a deep cleaning so nobody gets it, she says I can't prove it was there and it's an airborn virus that he could have gotten anywhere.  Lets just say that he got it on the drive there before he walked in to chuck e cheese, I'm 99.9 percent sure that the next kid probably got it from my son.  Sorry about your pink eye.  Other than that he had fun. read more

This place has gone downhill fast. Very disappointed today. My son went up in the tunnels. When I went to the slide to wait for him to come down there was a very very bad smell of urine up in the tunnels. You could even smell it at the netted area where they climb up. I feel they never clean in there. The windows on the tunnels were very dirty. Also my son had really bad swelled bruises after crawling up there like things may be broken up there. read more
