His name is Christian and he was not only very professional and friendly, but went over and beyond to assist us and enthusiastic in doing so. His passion for doing well at his job is such an asset to any company. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the floors were sticky and it had a strange smell, apparently from being recently steamed cleaned. Every time we bring our kids to this location we enjoy our time and the staff is very polite and professional. Today there was some technical difficulty after I had paid for my order. The circular device that was given to me was not functioning as a result I never got my order. I approached management and Lala looked into the situation and mentioned that they had announced it after they saw that the order didn't get picked up. Rather than just reheating the pizza they were able to give me a hot and ready pizza. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness and the way they handled this mishap. The games were fun but the only problem was that when we scanned the card on the machines we didn't know if the points were correctly taken off because some of our points disappeared. The salad bar was not stocked and when I asked for it to be filled this did not happen so after 40 minutes I requested a refund. I had had a small amount of a few things from the bar while waiting so my plate was not "clean" the manager on duty was not happy to do the refund but did it, which I appreciate. He seemed to get a call at the exact time as the refund went through saying it was the GM and he was getting written up for the refund he just gave. He yelled loudly on the phone "I do not care, write me up over the salad" very uncomfortable. I asked for more lettuce and cucumbers and that was all. Just to build my salad. I was told the lettuce was prepared at 9am this morning and so it's fine if it's brown. The employees here are rude and have faces. When getting prices the person was just tossing the prices on the counter and not handing it to the kids. It's common decency that they lack here. We had a very bad experience at the Chuck E Cheese in Brentwood December 28th. We had a larger group ( two families from out of town ) and we chose to make family memories at Chuck E Cheese. 1. Ambiance: The clientele and employees I interacted with at this store were out right scary. The smell of weed in multiple parts of the restaurant, along with customers who donned face tattoos and playboy logos on their young children's clothing created a very uncomfortable environment. This represented 90% of the customers in the restaurant the night we went in. My 7 year old grandson asked , "What's that smell?" It wasn't the pizza. 2. Service: When I went up to check on my pizza, the employee at the pick up counter was absolutely rude. She told me she had been calling for me to pick up my pizza. When I showed her my buzzer wasn't lighting up, she said, "Don't get an attitude with me." I truly felt like she was ready to fight then and there. Her appearance mirrored the clientele's. 3. Service: We were asked to move after we sat down because we had to be a party. Well we were a large party. A more appropriate policy would have been to sign us up as a party being that there were at least 5 large unreserved tables. It did not make sense that they had all of these unreserved tables and we couldn't sit together as a family. 4. Ambiance: My daughter's family visiting from central California and my son's family from the East coast all had to cram into different tables and we could not sit together. 5. Ambiance: The environment (the customers in the store that night) had us on edge the entire time and we couldn't get out soon enough. 6.We witnessed a customer taking their used salad plate up to the salad bar and refilling it. My husband refused to eat after he saw that. I apologized to my family because it was so embarrassing that I had recommended this place . I continued to explain to my family that I do business with many shops in that area, and I have never experienced what we experienced at this restaurant. It was like I had to take them into Target, Chik filet, Wence House, and more to prove I had no idea Chuck E Cheese was like this. We did go in these places at different times during their visit . The staff was very courteous and the facility was clean. We went at an off time so it wasn't too busy. There were about 3 games that weren't working but for the most part all the cooler games worked. The menu is pretty extensive for what it is The price for an hour of unlimited games is a good value for us. Had a birthday party for a 6-year-old, and it was the perfect venue at Chuck E. Cheese. He wanted arcades, and he won prizes. He was so excited, and so were all the little cousins. Surprisingly, the pizza had a crisp crust with fresh ingredients! We had low expectations for the food because who would think a place like this had good pizza!? The garlic crust was good, and we like crispy bottom crusts. Wings were good according to the family who had them (they had buffalo spicy and barbeque with celery sticks). We had a long table with the birthday package and a big family, so there was plenty of seating. The price was reasonable, and we ordered three extra pizzas for the adults and one cheese pizza for the kids. We had an EXCELLENT server, Izzy, who was wonderful and made it even more fun! She was efficient, kind, a hard worker, and attentive- we loved her! We loved the show with Chuck E. Cheese, and it was nice that other kids in the place could enjoy it, too. Sometimes, I had heard that Chuck E. Cheese was not as good a place to go to as before when we used to have our kid's birthday when they were young, so we were hesitant. However, we were very happy, and the customers were respectful and enjoying themselves. So those rumors were unfounded if anyone else heard this, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. More importantly, the birthday boy loved his birthday and had lots of memorable fun! We will have more birthday parties here! Useful tips: When the birthday boy gets to go into the tunnel where they blow tickets, use your tee shirt folded over to catch and collect the money in there to hold more! Second tip: get the basic pizza party package (probably cheaper to do your own goodie bags from the dollar store), especially since we had only 5 kids (the rest of us were adults). Great place if you set your expectations correctly. Don't expect 5 star service but do expect 5 star fun for the kiddos. There's plenty of games to keep toddler age to young kids busy. Solid four stars for the category it's in. Major props given for the fact that this is one of the ONLY chain "run around" kid venues in town around here. They could afford to be pretty crappy if they wanted to because of the lack of competition, but they keep their standards decent and our family appreciates that. I recently had a very disappointing experience at Chuck E. Cheese. On a day where temperatures soared over 100 degrees, the establishment "said" the air conditioning was broken when we asked if they could lower the temperature, making it extremely uncomfortable for everyone inside. Why even open on such a hot day if you can't safely accommodate customers during a heatwave? To add to the discomfort, we had to pick up our food order ourselves from pretty much the kitchen. This must be a new implementation because I've been to this location a couple times prior and the staff would bring your order to your table as any restaurant does when you dine in. While we were there we also witnessed the manager treating their staff poorly, attitude, snarky remarks, sharp tone, which was disheartening and added to the negative atmosphere. The worst part of our visit was that the establishment abruptly closed without any warning to the customers. They just turned the power off and started cleaning, what happened to announcing to the customers that you're closing soon 30-15 minutes prior so people know to wrap up and start organizing their kids to leave?? We were forced to rush the our table and sing happy birthday to my son in the dark as staff cleaned around us. Overall, this visit was unacceptable, there aren't a ton of kid centered places in this area so it's unfortunate the place that is available to us is treated like an afterthought. My husband and our 3 daughters went to Chuck E. Cheese today and we had the pleasure of being taken care of by Denise. Denise helped up sign up for an amazing package. She explained the benefits of it so well. When we walked in it wasn't super busy but it became busier and busier while we were there. Denise is super woman, literally! She was taking care of both the front station and prize checkout station all by herself and she did it with a smile on her face with each customer no matter how busy it was. She's beyond amazing!! I am extremely upset with the way I was treated at your Brentwood Chuck E. Cheese location. I came in today 1/27/24 and ordered our food at 5:50pm. I was not given a wait time, however given our past experience here, food typically takes about 30-40min so I didn't think to ask for a wait time. 45 minutes later, our food was not ready so I inquired at the kitchen about a wait time. They told me that the host should have informed us that it was an hour long wait for the food. Here is where the issue is. I originally purchased a 60min play card when I ordered. Had I been informed that the food was going to take a minimum of 1 hour, I would have purchased a 90 or 120 minute game card instead. So I asked the person at the kitchen if they would be able to add additional minutes to the game card (I would have gladly purchased more but for the price difference from 60 to 90 minutes, not full price - because I should have been informed of the wait time). She offered to give us an extra 20min on our card for the inconvenience. I gladly accepted and said I would be right back with the play card. When I returned, the manager (Meg) came out extremely rude and disrespectful. Told me that she was there when I ordered (which she wasn't) and stated that she witnessed the host telling me a 1.5hr wait time which NEVER HAPPENED. She was absolutely not standing there when I ordered, and had I been informed of the wait time, I would have immediately purchased more minutes. She walked away in the middle of me speaking to her and was just rude. Like I said, paying for the difference was not an issue. I was not looking for free minutes. I decided to take my daughter here since she's been asking (for a while now) because of all the Chuck E. Cheese commercials she sees. I wasn't sure what to expect since it's been almost 8 years since I last visited when my son was her age. I was greeted instantly when we walked in. They checked for my vaccinations and stamped our hands. Then at the register, another employee helped us and she was nice and friendly. I explained I haven't been here in so long and she told me what to do. Now they have cards that's loaded and you just wear it around your wrist, tap the machine you want to play and ta da! Very smooth and easy process. The place was nice and clean. A lot has changed. They have a special sitting area where they host parties and a stage. The game machines was spread around. We had a problem with one of the machines and a technician was there to help fix the problem. I also needed to go home because I had a notification that a package was delivered and was going to come back. What I didnt know was, you could PAUSE your playtime. Actually, I forgot it was timed play altogether so I called and talked to a lady (I forgot her name) who told me she can fix the time when I come back. Seriously, the customer service that I received was incredible. I wasn't expecting that at all for some reason but EVERYONE I communicated with that day was very nice and helpful. Soooo we go to Chuck E. Cheese A LOT back home in San Diego so we are familiar. 1. Took forever for someone to actually acknowledge we were waiting to be stamped to enter. We could have easily walked in and no one would have noticed. That said, hate was open for the exit allowing anyone to have also left. 2. Apparently the credit/debit system is down. So they were realizing it while we were there. Fine, things happen. But we were 3 adults and 4 kids. My husband had to leave and find an atm to get $220 in cash to actually pay. The girl wouldn't let the kids have their cups or the play cards etc until he came back. Some leniency would have been nice considering the major inconvenience to us. 3. Watched a family just walk out, no one went to check them out. This is MAJOR red flag for me at a CEC and I hope corporate sees this as it's a huge reason we like CEC. 4. Food was eh at best. 5. The lag time between when your card can be used on time play is way longer then what I'd consider normal. You get less credits per swipe here for games then other location, overall a rip off for you money. 6. I truly think that the attitude was higher bc of them dealing with the issues of the processing machine. But considering we stood there waiting for 15 min to start after waiting 5 min to be checked in, they could have added additional time or offered something extra for the 4 kids under 6 who waited as patiently as possible. I had an issue with something and the manager Lola (whatever her name was - I think it's that) was not only unhelpful but abrupt with me for no reason. I now see why I wasn't allowed here as a child. If passes are transferable and you want one you can have mine. Also there's a pair of socks for the trampoline I was forced to buy even though I brought my own because money is crazy tight. Great place for kids to have fun in Brentwood/Antioch. Has a second birthday party on 12/14. When you book a party know that it's not a private room. It's a bunch of tables laid horizontally with other parties. We did the 3-5 time slot. The busiest time slot is generally 12-2. It was a Saturday and of course crazy busy. The staff was quite overwhelmed. I probably waited about 20 minutes, cutting into our party time just waiting to be helped. But our party hostess, Hailey was amazing. We get to the table- she checks ins. She checks all the orders, checks on our party several times, cuts the cake, serves the food. Just exceptional customer service. She went above and beyond what a hostess would. Games were great but I didn't see staff patrolling the floors. A copy of the games we couldn't touch because of spills and melted ice cream. Since this was a birthday package we booked for ultimates gameplay for 2 hours. TIP- the unlimited package is with it! You run out of coins quickly otherwise and if you are booking with a birthday package it's only $7 more per person. The games are fun and interactive. Man, what a disservice this does to Mr Charles Entertainment Cheese himself. There's only 1 animatronic and all he does is look back and forth, back and forth. Worst of all, he's an older design and doesn't match either the suit actor or the videos that play. Sad, sad, sad. Secondly there's no ball pit, no tubes to climb in, nothing. Just those same games you would see at a round one or any other pop up/temp arcade. You know the ones, the ones that aren't bolted into the ground in case this place decides to close suddenly in the middle of the night without warning. Lastly, and strangest of all, even though CEC is a franchise, if you fill up your card at one location guess what? You can only redeem it at that location. If you go to another CEC your card shows as empty and to have to refill your card again at that location. WTH? If I go a round one, I can add funds to my card at any round one and use it at any round one. Not here though. That's a real scummy thing to do. This place is a shadow of it's former self. I don't think Mr Cheese has passed on (then again I don't know the lifespan of anthropomorphized mice) but if he has he would surely be rolling in his grave at the sight of what's become of his one great franchised establishment. We came here for the first time since moving to the Brentwood area and we were excited for this place to open up. It is conveniently located off of the freeway. We had no trouble parking. With two children we bought 2 one hour passes which was enough for our whole family of four. By the time someone is halfway done with the game the card can be used for another game. I love how they omitted the paper tickets: less counting less mess, and less litter! The card even says how much more time we have since we started which is great to keep track. Facility is very clean and I haven't seen any garbage anywhere on the floor. My children, ages nine and seven, have been anticipating this family trip!!! read more

This is a hard review to write. They have good and bad issues. They need more employees it seems that a lot of stuff is being slacked on like cleaning of areas and bathrooms. At one point there was about 8 families in line for the prize counter as well as 4 families at the checkout line but only 1 employee managing both for awhile. But it's also not always like this there is some times where there is an abundance of employees and things are running smoothly and everything is clean. It's a great place for kids, even adults. Because I will admit I have become addicted to the spongebob game where you get cards. My kids love just about everything they can play. They especially love the merry go round, Chuck E. Cheese car ride or any picture taking booth. The food is okay, it's not something I'd specifically ask for when I want pizza.
