Where is the whole band of creepy animatronic characters, and that big field of balls to prance around in, and the myriad mini-rides and bop-the-weasel type activities? They have been replaced by digital imagery (save for Chuck E himself), and a WAY overly cramped room of video games. And the place is dirty, and the pizza isn't even that good! Gah! WORST CHUCK E. CHEESE EVER! This place is the same thing as eating in a dumpster. I went to chuck e. Cheese on a Saturday and waited an hour and a half for my 2 pizzas and appetizers. When I asked why I was still waiting for the appetizers after 35 mins they said that it was not an appetizer when the cashier obviously said it was. When it finally arrived they had given us oranges instead of fries because they ran out. I asked if they could give us more cheese stinks or wings instead and she said no. I asked for a refund and they only gave me $3 and it cost me $20! The manager and co manager Jasmine were very rude. The place was full of trash. Ughhh I really hate coming here but my kids love it so we go once in a great while. This Chuck E. Cheese is pretty clean, but I have only seen it on a weekday. I REFUSE to visit on a weekend. Usually you will find several games that are out of tickets and out of order. Yet, it is very difficult to find staff to help. Cashier says "go look for the guys in the red shirt".... no where to be found. Download the Chuck E. Cheese skate app. My kids both won over 500 tickets so definitely helped get a higher value prize. I love bring my kid here but 2 thing that I don't like is that sometimes you have to wait like 40 minutes for 1 pizza but the pizza is good so it's worth waiting. This tonight was by far the WORST ever. I don't think I will EVER come back to this place again. 1st we walk in 2 grown adults are in a verbal confrontation with each other in front the kids. 2nd kids just randomly picking on others just because calling them itches . 3. I took my son here for a birthday party this past weekend and I will NEVER go back. Many games were not working and those that appeared to be working just stole our tokens. Trying to find someone to refund the tokens was almost impossible. For a Saturday night you would think they had more staff available. Understaffed was an understatement. They had no control over the establishment. Older kids were running so fast through the place and no one told them to stop. At one point I saw 2 older boys almost plow over a toddler. PIzza was good - I recall it not be great many moons ago so I am glad it has gotten better. The salad bar was disgusting, no one cleaned it up as they refilled the station. Floors were filthy, garbage areas were overflowing. My suggestion is you go to the Dublin location - I have only heard good things. Oh Chuck E Cheese's. I remember coming here as a child at the Newark location and always having a great time with friends. Now I'm a mom and have one little one plus 4 nephews that I always bring here. All ages 2-6 and I must say, for being a "kids joint" one major thing that stands out to me is the bathrooms not being kid friendly. 3 out of the 5 kids I bring are potty training and there is no toilets or sinks that accommodate the Little's. Not even step stools to help them wash hands. It sucks that this place it's geared towards kids but not the restrooms. I hope the company can think about this and add some family restrooms for the kiddos !! read more

Seriously, it's one of the most filthy dirty eating establishments I've ever been at. The plastic menus an salt shakers at the tables are covered in caked on grime and dust. The last time I went, there weren't even ice cubes in the soda machine. (Notice I said LAST time... I cant bring myself to go there anymore) and the floors were so sticky that I can't imagine how yucky it is for the kids that are running around the place with their shoes off. The games are just as dirty and grimy as the salt shakers, I was actually concerned that we could catch illness, so lucky for me I had antibacterial hand wipes. This place has a lot of nothing working games n gives the worst amount of tickets for games. The games even eat ur tokens. Nice that they gave me some to replace the tokens that got taken. The pizza was burnt for the price it was wasn't really worth it. I say either lower the price of food or cook better!! Trying to keep the kids preoccupied and decided to come to chuck e cheese. This place isn't the best, and I've seen it at its worst but it's convenient and cheap. The food is average to below and at times unbearable. Today wasn't too bad and tried their new chicken wrap, the kids had pepperoni pizza, and lastly ordered a sampler platter. Food was fresh and the wrap hit the spot, a bit surprising but seems like they're putting out the effort. Place still smells like feet but most of the time kids are running without shoes anyway. It was pretty empty so waiting wasn't an issue for food or games. Overall not as bad as I thought it was going to be but the weekends this spot does a complete 360 and the service and experience takes its downfall. We came here on a Thursday not a lot of people, some tables were not clean but managers came out to clean it. I don't know but I think this place needs more windows or a back door the the smell can go anyway. I mean it stinks. We placed our order and got our tokens. Took my son to play ice ball and the game eat my token. Went to another row and that one eat had no balls, went to the next row and that one didn't have TICKETS!! at this point I was frustrated. Came in today and got the names of the friendly workers there from Ciara the young lady that stamps your hand was kind to answer our question! Every time I come here with my daughter I always see that omega the young guy there is such a hard worker and he is always on top of whatever the problem. I love that chucky was there and taking pictures with everyone and going by the whole place saying hi to all the kids! And the pizza there is my favorite the pizza dough there is nice n crispy and lots of toppings! I ordered half combo half all meat. Delicious! Yes I went to Chuck E Cheese. Yes I liked it. Why? Not for the food, although the salad bar was decent, but for the fact that my kids could run and play for two hours and have a blast. They were totally tired and begging for naps, so I reluctantly dragged myself out of the door and back into the super hot minivan that had been basking in the sun (with windows closed) for two hours. Once I opened the door to the sour milk smell riding on the heat wave of the van, I regretted my decision and knew we should have stayed for longer. Other things I like: Chuck E Cheese is trying it's hardest to expose kids to gambling at the simplest levels - upon entry, you get a sort of lotto ticket (it peels off to reveal your prize), you play chance games for hours, ultimately dumping your money and leaving with crap prizes. Wow...this place sure has changed alot since my younger days! It seems so much smaller now. As long as you get here before 4pm, this place is ok for the little ones to hang out. Anything later than that...the older kids come out and well to put it mildly, are rough and inconsiderate of others, especially the smaller children. My child was pushed by several kids and of course, the parents were no where in sight. I understand this is a place where "a kid can be a kid" but with that should also come respect of others space and feelings. The food is just ok but service needs to be worked on. Not the best Chuck E Cheese I've been to. We only opted to come here because Golfland in Castro Valley was closed due to the rain. Maybe it was the rain that made the place smell but we got in around 8PM, one hour before closing. It smelled like a homeless person's jacket and it took quite some time to get over. We mainly came in to play some basketball, you know, to show who can sink baskets better. Me, of course. It's all in the wrist! After $10 worth of tokens - it took the two of us one whole our to spend it! - it was time to pack up and go. They shut the games off at exactly 9PM. We got our tickets munched just in the knick of time. I'll come back because like all Chuck E Cheese's, every game is only one token and super kid friendly! We saw some late birthday celebrations even on a Monday night. Tip: Don't play Guitar Hero unless you want like 50 kids' pizza grease on your hands/shirt. I'll come back. The worste decision I've made in a while was stepping foot in here. As we speak I am waiting in line to place an order. I have been in this line fore 25 mins. People have kids waiting in this line. This place needs a lot of work. It's stinky, hot, and staff seems like they just don't give a damn. Games are often broken, you get hardly any tickets for each h game. Chuck e is supposed to come out once an hour to take pictures and do a ticket splash but the last 3-4 times I've come they often skip sessions with Chuck e completely or when he does come out he often doesn't do the ticket splash that's promised.
