Over here celebrating my nephew's birthday and then they have only one person on the front counter as much money as they charge for this

We love stopping by this location. The staff is always friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your visit. There's two staff members who I have noticed always try to stay in top of things and offer amazing customer service. First is Sir Michael and the second although I haven't caught her name - is a young lady who wears glasses and is almost always at the register when we stop by. Came in yesterday afternoon with family and 5 excited kiddos. It was clean, the pizza was great, and everyone working was very nice and helpful. We used coupons that you can download from their website and saved a good amount of money on hourly play passes for all the kids. read more

I'll start off by saying that I'm never a big fan of birthday parties @ big, busy establishments like this.. but today was overall a great experience! My son was invited to celebrate his classmates' 4th birthday here today. It is the first time I have been to CEC in I can't say how many years. The last time I had been, the birthday area was home to a large stage that housed Chuck E & his animatronic band that would "perform" every fifteen minutes or so. That stage is a thing of the past, and the "remodel" has opened up the room to allow for more tables + a really cool light-up dance floor. Thank goodness, because in honesty those robot puppet things creeped me tf out as kid. So in place of the regular performance by the "band", they have now made Chuck appear via "video call" on a large TV (was cheesy), followed a little later by Chuck himself coming out in costume to entertain the kids. Some little ones smiled for pictures with him, others ran away in fear.. all in all it wasn't too bad. I had also prepared myself mentally for all the germs my kids would encounter in the pipes/play area.. I was thrilled to see that whole mess gone & replaced with more games. Hallelujah! It definitely seemed to help with the congestion on games too, as in folks weren't pushed buttholes to elbows together anymore. As for the food.. the pizza was surprisingly good! If I lived closer, I would probably order carryout from here on occasion. Didn't get a look at the salad bar, sorry! Crew was attentive & polite, which is obviously important when dealing with children all day. Security was at the door both upon entrance & exit, confirming every child left with the appropriate group. Now for the only downsides I noticed.. I think the restrooms (while overall pretty clean) could benefit from providing disposable toilet liners. Some folks (like myself) don't like to use or let our littles sit on public toilets when they need to go. We always end up putting TP down in an effort to avoid germs. Second thing I noticed (and not to sound like a total Karen), but there was a young woman perhaps in her late teens or early twenties that was walking around in an incredibly provocative LBD that was in no way appropriate for a children's establishment. Why this woman wasn't flagged at the door & asked to return in less-sexy clothing is beyond me. I understand wanting to dress up for a birthday party, but there is a time & a place for an outfit like that.. and today wasn't it. Those were really my only two negatives. Everything else was on par. Considering cleanliness & how much fun my kids had, I'll definitely keep this place in mind for upcoming birthday parties! read more

Last year we had a lot of fun but this year. There are less games. Also the amount of tickets u get it the same if u suck or win. So that's stupid. Also staff didn't know how to work computer. Also our food came out wrong. But the most upsetting is one game stole like 6 tokens and we let them know it was broken. They messed with it. They never offered to replace her token and also went back later to try it assuming they fixed it and they didn't. But don't bother putting an out of order sign on it so to me they are ripping people off on purpose! And that's rediculous! Won't be back. read more

Mishawaka, Elkhart and South Bend - Chucky is re-opened again! The last time i was here was 32 years ago for my son's 5th birthday. Had a small birthday party for a 7 year old boy last night. We got there early, 4 p.m. on a Tuesday evening. Almost had the place to ourselves! When we left at 7 p.m., still wasn't that busy. I am use to going to Chucky in the Chicago area, where it can be standing room only at times! We couldn't book a real birthday party because we only had 3 children. But they allowed us to bring in our own cake and presents. Food was okay, about what I remember. The 7, 9 and 11 year old children had a great time!!! When Chucky Cheese came out in person, the kids were over the moon!!! He even celebrated with us during singing and for pictures, without us having a booked party! Now that all the games are one token, it's awesome. I mean the pizza is pizza, but this isn't the place to go for "amazing pizza". But it is the place for fun times and cheap thrills (games, the thrills are games). I suggest bringing a coupon because it's always good to save a couple bucks (use it on dessert after). Usually, there are coups in the Sunday paper each week, so they are easy to come by. The "show" is super lame to anyone over 8, but that's ok. This is a kids place after all... 03/07/12 Bring lots of hand sanitizer!!! To start, I'm not a fan of this overpriced kid zoo. I grew up with Showbiz Pizza being the place to go (I'm 31) for kid entertainment, parties and food. Having said that, I went with family to celebrate a birthday and Chuck E Cheese's was first choice for the kids. I must say how they've gone downhill since our last visit a few years ago. The food (pizza and salad bar) were awful. The salad bar and drink area was dirty, counters needed wiping down and floors needed mopping (sticky from spills). I couldn't help but think how I'd rather be at the Ponderosa Steakhouse located in the same parking lot than here. I sat and watched one staffer clear several tables and not come back to wipe them down. I felt dirty and after 5 mins being there was ready to leave; however, the kids love the games (reason we went). I played a few ticket earning games with my son. I noticed that several machines were not working properly and robbing you from tickets earned. In fact, I witnessed a couple with their kids playing skee-ball and getting frustrated due to tickets not being received that they earned. Fortunately, someone that worked there did see to them receiving the other tickets. I've always thought that Chuck E Cheese's was pricey, but I expect much more for my money than our recent experience. Overall, a dirty place, not-so-great tasting, pricey food and malfunctioning machines isn't worth a repeat visit at the Mishawaka location. Due to the fact my son and other kids in family love this place, I think we'll travel a little further and give the Merrillville location a try. . read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! The manager on duty Rachel was very unprofessional.. we had a problem with our playing card.. she physically paused our card for us herself.. but when we went to use it, it said the time was up.. then she said we lied and used up the time... she was avoiding us, told me it would be 20 minutes before she could "deal" with me, then after about 15 minutes, we were told she was busy and it would be 20 more minutes until she could "deal" with us. After talking to another worker and obtaining the general managers phone number, AND calling her and actually talking to her, then coincidentally Rachel was free and interrupted while I was on the phone with her manager.. The salad bar was not filled. The lettuce that was on the bar was brown.. when we asked for it to be filled and made fresh, a worker came and looked at it, then walked away and did nothing.. The general cleanliness of the restaurant was mediocre... but the wait time on food was ridiculous.. I'd give this review ZERO stars, but I couldn't give a review without giving at least one star.. definitely will NOT be going back.. We arranged to meet some friends a this location on Wednesday, 2/3/16. When we arrived at 11:00 (opening time) we were promptly informed their computers were down and they could not offer us any food or drinks, but we could use the games. We purchased tokens and sent the kids to play while we waited. I asked for a cup for water and was told "No." The place was packed and we knew once the computers were up there would be a long wait for food. The kids burned through the tokens in 45 minutes and the computers were still down. They set out all the salad bar items and we could smell pizza cooking, but they would not sell/serve any food. I understand technology issues happen, but you still need to serve your customers. We were not offered any sort of discount on tokens, a free drink, etc. Fountain beverages are cheap and handing out a free drink to the hungry and thirsty patrons would have been a kind gesture. read more

HORRIBLE experience. We booked a birthday party for my 4 year old online, when we arrived they couldn't find her name on the list (yes, we had put a deposit down), after searching they found it. They were late starting the parties, and this is where it started to go bad. There were supposed to be 5 parties starting at the same time, but they didn't seem to have enough party hosts... the one we had was horrible. Once the table was set up, we noticed we were missing a few of the items we had paid for, we had to request those. Our server came out about once every 15 minutes, we didn't get drinks until 40 minutes into the party and our food arrived just before the show started. We have never had a birthday party here, we didn't know what to expect, and they did not really inform us on how this would go, other tables were complaining about the service or lack there of, because the servers were not being attentive. Once Chuck E came out they were teaching the kids the birthday dance and song, the server brought out the cake and set it on the edge of the table directly in front of my daughter and lit the candle and walked away. In a matter of seconds her hair was in FLAMES! She is 4 years old and the way the tables were set up are so that all the kids are at the end closest to the stage, the candles were directly in front of her, she turned her head and the flame caught her hair. Thank GOD her grandfather was able to get through the OVER CROWDED dining area to pat her hair out. After this, the server did not come back to our table again. We spoke to the managers several times and at no point was another server assigned to our table, they were basically done serving us. Whatever food and drink we had at 1:40 was all we had the rest of the time. An incident report was filed and we did not have to pay for our party. The server never came out and apologized or spoke to us again. The manager was kind, although I don't like someone trying to make excuses for a servers negligence, the process of the party was never explained, and we were basically fending for ourselves. I understand they were busy, however, the cake should have been placed in the middle of the table where she would have had to lean up not right in front of her with the candles closest to her. She also shouldn't have walked away or waited until an adult was near her before lighting the candle. Our table was last to get our pizza so we weren't ready for cake either. The Senior Assistant Manager was somewhat defensive when trying to get the story. We were also told that typically they only have 3 parties going on at once but at this given time there were 5, thats a booking issue on your behalf, not the customers, then you call in more people. This was very traumatic for my 4 year old, I'm blessed her face wasn't injured, however, her hair was in flames and it was not handled in a way that I would ever consider giving my business to Chuck E Cheese again. read more

Don't waste your money to this dirty place! Restroom was disgusting. Super slow cashier and staff. Unfriendly rude counter person, who walked and ignored me when I was standing at the prize counter. Pizza was ok, but the so called basket of fries was a complete ripoff. There was literally less than 10 sticks of fries in the basket & the ranch dipping sauce tasted awful. This place is ridiculous, I dont even know where to begin, we had 2 birthday parties there amd there was 4 kids not even there for a party that kept trying to open my god daughters gifts, then they drag their parent over and was like I want these i want these all up in her stuff like that is just rude. You think the party area would be more managed who comes in and out, secondly the security guard they had/have at the door is a complete joke there was a kid not even 3 walking around crying for his mom and dad him just standing there and on too of that I didnt wvwn get my hand stamped and they just let us walk in and out the front door without checking! This place is OUTDATED! And barely anything works properly ...there was at least 6 pieces of equipment that did not function at all and that look like they haven't function in a while. The people working there are not friendly at all. You would assume that if they work at a place like this they would be a bit more cheerful, but they acted like we were wasting their time. There was a young African American gentleman working the front counter 8/29/14 around 7:30 pm that seemed to have friends over and was in his own personal conversation when we were trying to place our order. I reserved my daughters 7th birthday here and it was awful. We were shorted items in our package and shorted food items that we paid for. When I went to management he told me there was nothing he could do. Our party started at 130 was scheduled to be done at 330. They took our food order at 145 and we didn't receive our food till 3. We were told there were issues in the kitchen, keep in mind other parties placed their orders after us and got there food well before us. Then our party host was stressed and not very friendly because she was in charge of 3 parties instead of just 1. Overall the staff was rude and acted like it was an inconvenience for them to help u. This place is absolutely AWFUL! I would never recommend going here to anyone. Yesterday I drove nearly an hour to take my three boys to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. I ordered a small cheese pizza and a couple of drinks. After nearly 20 minutes, I still hadn't received my pizza so I asked the wait staff and they suggested they would get it. Another 10 minutes went by and still no pizza while people that had come in after me and ordered more than me, were receiving theres..I approached another member of the wait staff. Same response. 15 minutes later still no pizza. I asked to speak to the manager, he comes out and said he will get the pizza and take care of it. Another 15 minutes go by STILL NO PIZZA. By this time my kids are starving and are over the games. I LEFT THERE AND NEVER RECEIVED THE PIZZA I PAID FOR! Not only that, but when I suggested to one gal that worked there that I was leaving she had the nerve to say "it's not my fault they took the order wrong". Are you kidding me?! The place is disgusting and the staff is just as much of a joke. I contacted corporate and have the pictures from the situation.
