I visited Chuck's for the first time today after hearing some great things about it. These guys were incredibly friendly and Alex did an excellent job with my haircut. Chuck was preparing a Spotify playlist for one of his regulars who came in and sat down and everybody was talking and having a good time the entire time that I was in there. Usually I'll go to a barber and ask for an inch taken off and leave with hair three inches shorter and looking like Lloyd Christmas That's not the case here. Chuck and Alex listen to you and cut your hair to your liking. They're fun to be around and treat their customers well and even end the hair cut with a straight razor neck shave. What a very friendly group of people! I showed up on a Saturday morning near open and there was no wait. This is a simple and plain barber shop, nothing more or less, which is exactly what I loved about it. Friendly and wonderful haircut for half the price of my stylist

The price is currently $17 before tip, which is very fair for a haircut. Not the haircut I received. I had my haircut with Alex, who seemed like a nice Russian guy, but he did not quite understand me when I asked for a gradient from 1-2mm on the sides and leave quite a bit on top. I should've known after I stated my request that he looked back blankly and said, "short? Okay I give you beautiful haircut" There's almost no fade on the sides and he cut almost everything from the top. I am pretty disappointed. He got corrected by the barber next to him saying that a gradient is a fade, but even after multiple attempts, I am still unsatisfied and do not plan on coming back. It is 2 stars and not 1 because I do appreciate him trying to fix it multiple times. I am just frustrated that he never asked if the top was too short and he just kept cutting inches off. read more

Small place but they hook you up with a nice hair cut. All the barbers get along really well. They work together so that you have two or three barbers looking at your hair to make sure it's perfect before you leave. Great haircut in a reasonable amount of time. read more

If you're looking for a real barbershop, with a great staff-this is it. Traditional haircutting (scissors for the majority,) hot-towel shaves, and a non-rushed technique make Alexander (Chuck was busy) the best barber i have been to in years! The decor is old-school-and so what? The chairs are clean and comfortable. Bring a book or something to read in case of a wait. About the only thing i would add is a decent cup of coffee (or if Chuck wants to get crazy, maybe add an offering of beers and add a bar aspect.) Truly a classic shop and well worth the try! Chuck Simon's Barber Shop is incredible and I'm embarrassed that it's taken me this long to write a revew! I've been going there for what seems like 10 years now after my Dad told me about it, and I have continued to go there as I have moved around Atlanta regardless of whether it takes me 5 minutes or 35 to get there. Chuck himself is the friendliest guy and he seems to know and take personal interest in each and every one of his customers which is such a rarity in this day-and-age! The prices are very reasonable, in line with most all of the mega chains, but with a level of service and consistency that I could never find at one of those places. Just a word of caution/experience...all of the barbers do great work, but Chuck is the best. All of them will cut your hair exactly as you want it, but Alex does have a tendency to cut short so pay attention if you get him. I personally have started loving Alex since I changed my hair style to a tight fade which he does very well, but when I used to like to keep a little length I always had to tell him to use one guard higher than I actually wanted and it turned out perfect. read more
