Best haircut I've had in a long time. Fast, cheap, friendly and well done.

I've been to several barbershops in the Atlanta area since moving here. Those experiences run the gamut from a cheap super cut to high-end barbershops. However, no other place matches Chuck's for quality, even at such a reasonable price. Even if you believe that only a hipster barbershop with hand planed, reclaimed redwood wall panels that serve manmosas can give a great haircut, I encourage you to try Chuck's. The quality of cut you receive here is second to none. Each time I have been my barber has taken his time making my haircut the finest possible. Chuck's is a hidden gem and is easily worth the drive down North Druid. I will be a customer here as long as I live in the Atlanta area. read more

I requested an appointment on Yelp.com, I got a fairly fast response from Chuck. He wasn't working that day but he was able to be flexible and had me come in at 6. That really means a lot, especially with my hectic schedule. The haircut experience was solid. He took his time and made sure I got what I wanted. He even took the time to explain what he did, in case I needed it to have someone else cut my hair. I could really tell that Chuck loved what he did. That's very important. Had my first haircut from chuck on friday (11-7-14) and i wanted to write a review praising him and his service. He's a skilled individual thats created a true and authentic barbershop, thats served greater atlanta for over fourty years. In fact, while i was there he took a few photos of clients that he has had coming to him for over ten years and said that his oldest client has been coming to him for nearly forty four years. I never give recommendations, however i give him my highest praise. Also, as a side note, my girlfriend loves my haircut! If my girlfriend is happy i am happy. You know how it is brothers! The people here are fantastic and are very attentive to the customers. Alex cut my bf's hair last time and remembered him a month later. Alex was very attentive and listened to what he wanted and made changes accordingly. He really takes his time and pays the utmost attention to what he was doing. I had such a great experience at Chuck's this morning. I had been used to getting my follicles cropped at some chain place and kept going back even though half of the time they didn't listen to me or didn't show the care that a person's head deserves. Chuck and I talked about it today. A lot of times, guys go for whatever is close or convenient or choose something just because they are used to it. Well, today I chose to go somewhere new. And you know what? Chuck himself did the cutting and it was the best haircut I've had in years. Not only did he immediately find a way to best tackle the cowlicks on my bumpy noggin, but he was personable, likable and funny to boot. You can tell that everyone in there wants to be there, customers and stylists alike. During my 20 minutes in the chair, I witnessed at least 4 people enter and get greeted by name. My haircut is really good. It suits me very well. Chuck told me I'd like it. And he knows enough about what he's doing to deserve that type of confidence. I got a great cut. And a straight razor cut on my neck. And a hot towel that was akin to what it must be like to eat a desert that is also really healthy for you. And good company. I look forward to my hair growing out a bit. It will be a while because Chuck knew I wanted it short and he made it short. But when it does, I'll go back. Great spot. read more

Recently went for the first time and received an nice haircut. I was very happy with the service and the owner and staff seemed to truly care about the customer. When I told the lady cutting my hair clippers or scissors on the side would be fine she went the extra mile and carefully trimmed my hair using scissors. For a cheap, good kid haircut solution, look no further than Ms. Faith at Chuck Simon's Barber Shop. She's a hidden gem for $14. She recently started working there after running her own kids hair salon on Roswell Rd. in Buckhead for 10 years. She almost went to work for Salon Red Kids but opted for a setting with less stimulation (just an old fashioned shop and a toy train that circles the shop) and no retail responsibilities. She's off Tu and Wed but works Thurs-Mon. She was great with my 4 and 6 year old, had fun hair accessories for my daughter, and gave both kids great cuts with no wait (lollipops and toys after the cuts as well with parents' permission). I think the place primarily takes walk ins. It's not a fancy place by any means, but nice people. read more

I've been coming to Chuck's since I moved into the area last year. I have thick wavy hair and it's hard to find someone who knows how to make it look good. I usually go in the mornings on my off day, while Alex is working. I simply tell Alex that I want a #2 on the sides and cut on the top, and somehow he knows exactly how to make my hair look great!
