Poached eggs, by their very nature, are cooked uniformly. Unlike fried eggs, they are submerged in water and cooked all the way around. These eggs came back with uncooked whites that resembled mucus. I'm sure the eggs were sitting there, waiting on the other orders to be fulfilled. Not wanting to be a hassle, I plowed through, scooping the cold uncooked whites to the side and discovered a piece of not so small egg shell in it. I told the waitress there was an egg shell in the eggs, they were a bit undercooked and cold. Instead of receiving an apology or accommodations, she said she'll share the info with the owner. I was then given an excuse as to why there was an egg shell in the eggs "we use farm fresh eggs and they're very fragile". I use farm fresh eggs at home, they are fragile. It doesn't take more than a moment to remove the shell before cooking and serving it to a customer. She didn't remove the meal from the ticket or discount it and she never apologized. Like I said, just an excuse. All that being said, the place is beautiful, indoors and outside. My wife's pancake was delicious. I'm sure many things on the menu are delicious. They also seemed short staffed. And I won't wright a place off because of one meal and one server. Could be an off day for the chef/cook. The server isn't a always an indicator of the restaurant's values. I do wish she was more accommodating - especially at those prices - but it could've been a perfect storm of being short staffed, rushed cook, and a server that doesn't care.

Even with the golden delicious branded syrup upcharge the bill was only 12 dollars. Which is very affordable given the quality was not so great. As a generic diner, it does basic dishes well enough. There's not a ton of breakfast spots around, so it does well as that local greasy spoon. Doesn't need to be fancy, cause it's one of the few places in town and they are serviceable. As someone who treks a lot around the state, I find that there are many bakeries that do similar if not better items for comparable if not lower prices. But to ask someone to drive 30-60 minutes just to get something a couple bucks cheaper that's tastes about the same? It's a hard sale. I will say that Luanne's is the best in that area of the state, not including the small boutique places that are well off the beaten path. Ice cream was of a good quality, and the banana was nice and ripe. The only major detractor was the French toast was cold. It was cooked and died on the pass, which messed up the hot-n-cold play between the French toast and the ice cream. Still tasty, but would've been better warm. The price was okay, with all the add ons the French toast came out to 13 bucks. It's clear that the kitchen knows how to cook, but there were issues with execution this time around. Not bad, but still some tweaks needed.

This is very much the place you go to when you're going to work and you want a quick bite to eat, and so long as you come in looking for that type of food then it works. The breakfast sandwiches were good enough. Eggs were cooked hard, white american cheese was melty and cheesy, roll was fresh, and the meats were cooked. There wasn't anything special about these sandwiches, but they were good for what they were. If you need a meal and want a basic sandwich, this place is more than capable of handling that type of request. The prices are actually pretty good, the portion is reasonable, and it's not bad. Don't expect awesome, but functional fare.

The sandwiches were on a good sized hard roll & pretty tasty. Coffees were good too. I'm glad we got to try this place before the season ended and maybe on a nice day next summer, we will be back.
