While I have not been to the location in person, I have been ordering donuts from them during the COVID-19 crisis. I am very impressed. The donuts stay fresh and delicious for a few days. Extremely happy with the cream filling, as it does not have an overly chemical taste like other donut shops. I also like that they just make donuts, not some insane creation with the kitchen sink on top that is called a donut. Personal favorites are the Bear Claws and Apple Fritters. read more

Me and my husband happened to be driving by and considering I'm 8 months pregnant, I had a random desire to have donuts at 10 pm at night. I was really surprised that the donut I ordered tasted really fresh, way better than a few of the other local donut shops I've tried in the morning when you would expect very fresh donuts. These donuts have that perfect crispy outside and very soft inside. I had the strawberry cake donut. SO GOOD! Avoid the breakfast burrito. The eggs tasted powdered ala fast food style & they use cheap processed yellow cheese as well. Among the worst tasting things, I've tried all year. I would've been better of going to a grocery store and buying a frozen burrito. Spend a couple of extra dollars and eat elsewhere. read more

Open signs on ... but there closed and lady inside waves at you to leave . While her music is very loud inside.. she was busy washing her face in sink behind counter. Love this place. I don't live in the Bay no more, but since I came back for a little bit, I decided to come here for some donuts and it's still on par from years ago. Don't expect a hip donut shop. It's classic and yes, it's a little ghetto. Parking is pretty limited so I would try to go during off-peak hours. I got a half dozen of old fashion glazed, old fashion chocolate, the red velvet, the blueberry. All of them were awesome and you want to know how I know it's awesome? I ate two of them on my way back to a friend's house. They also have some other items but never really went here for anything else other than donuts and the occasional coffee. Chuck's has been around for years and nothing has changed. Sometimes the product is so good that there doesn't have to be. I've seen places decorate their donuts and create all kinds of silly things, but sometimes you want just a good and original this is the place to go for it. read more

Dry old donuts not good...the Apple fritter was good but still dry. I needed an extra milk to get through this snack. Donut holes were alright. Nothing special about this place. The lady and gent working were nice enough and gave me 2 free donuts. Thanks for that but they were still dry. Chuck's Donut is definitely convenient because they are opened 24 hours and located right by the 101 freeway entrance. Ordered a dozen basic donuts for $10.50 plus tax. Has a good variety so most popular flavors can be found here. Service itself was mediocre, the lady didn't really looked like she enjoyed her job but at least it's opened 24 hours. They also serve breakfast items such as sandwiches and burritos which is a plus. read more

Went out of my way to come to this establishment knowing they are advertising to be open 24/7. Got here and all lights on and nobody there. This is FALSE advertisement. ChANGE Your Sign with HOURS of OPERATION!! I got here at 430AM and sat in the parking lot for more than thirty (30) minutes seeing MANY other disappointing potential customers come and go. I wonder how the owner would react when he is paying someone to be here, and because of absenteeism (frequently) the loss of good revenue. (This is not the first time I've experienced this). Especially when other restaurants are suffering during this time. Finally as I was going to leave I saw someone running up to a key box and went inside. I got in and ordered my donuts and coffee.. She had to make the coffee so I waited. And I waited. Waited some More. My coworker brings Chuck's donuts to the office from time to time. So, we were in the area and decided to pick up some ourselves. It was fairly late in the evening but there was a great selection available. Yes! And,everything looked so good and inviting. It was a struggle try to select a half dozen from the many varieties. We picked up Red Velvet, Blueberry, Glazed, Strawberry Glazed, Cinnamon Sugar, and Maple Old Fashioned. What impressed us was the consistently good taste each and everyone of them had. So, come here if you're ever in the area and get you some! One question though. Do they or do they not offer Cronuts? If so, when are they available? read more

Great Apple fritters here! I also like the plain cake. This is a great place to stop in the morning for a quick bite. The parking lot can be a bit inconvenient, but nevertheless huge problem because the staff is so quick. IMHO the apple fritters here are the best in the area. read more

I've become rather obsessed with donuts in recent weeks. I freakin drove from Los Gatos to Campbell to checkout Psycho Donuts!! Feeding my obsession/addiction has been quite depressing. Donut lovers know the thought. The internal dialogue that goes something like this. "Dude, I just KILLED a burrito at Pancho Villa and my mind is already thinking of chocolate sprinkle goodness! What's wrong with us?? Don't go there, Don't need donuts, not a good idea." Then the external dialogue. "Babe, I want donuts!!!!!" I've become rather fond of maple covered donuts. That's something I only saw through a window until a few weeks back. They have a french glazed maple that is damn good. The donuts are fresh, the cake moist, the icing is smooth and delectable. Some places have a huge selection of stale donuts. This place has a huge selection of delicious donuts!! I did some journaling this morning and the title was "No more friggin' donuts yo" about two paragraphs into it, I started to see a pattern. My semi dangerous obsession is bordering on addiction. Donuts 4 days in a row can do that. So, I am swearing off donuts all together and will be starting a Donutaholics Anonymous meeting in a city near you. On the way from San Francisco to San Jose our kids brought up the idea to search for a dunkin donuts branch. Actually we couldn't find one in our GPS, so we decided to try one of the other donut stores that were displayed in our GPS search results. This one sounded good and was still open late. From the outside it looked almost a bit shabby in the dark. But from the inside it was a very clean store. We had 4 donuts all together for 3,40$. They tasted great. My friends and I decided to stop by here before heading on the road to Disneyland. Some of them, who have lived in the area their whole lives, didn't even know this place existed, but I think it's a hidden gem. Chuck's Donuts' parking lot is very small and compact. There's only about 6 spaces, but there's also street parking. The place is a decent size. There's 4 tables inside, which is sufficient (I came around 9am so I don't know how busy it can get during earlier hours). The store is very clean and well kept. I was a little overwhelmed with the choices of donuts they had. There were so many different kinds with all different shapes and sizes and colors. I'm really interested in their purple looking one... I ended up getting their egg, ham, and cheese croissant. It took a while to make, but it was a filling breakfast sandwich. It came out broiling hot, so be careful. My old local donut spot was a cash only, so I was happy to know that Chuck's Donuts accepts card, with a MINIMUM purchase of $5. They also have an ATM inside if you require cash. I look forward to coming back and getting a dozen of the strangest looking donuts. read more

What a waste. This a great location for a mediocre donut shop. The donuts are too sweet, too greasy, and (I agree with Kevin) a bit leathery and dense. I also would love that they're open 24 hours, if I liked the donuts. I take my donuts seriously, and these don't do it for me. They're better than the grocery store variety, but not much. Even though this is closest donut shop to my home, I've only gone a couple times. Perhaps I should thank Chuck's for saving me the temptation. read more

Walked in at 2:15am thinking to myself, "What am I doing here at 2:15am?" And then I looked at the case of donuts and miscellaneous pastries and stopped judging myself lol! I work swing shift and was heading home when I realized I really wanted something sweet to end the night on. Yelp had two dessert places open near me, Heidi's Pies and Chuck's donuts. I went with the latter since I've had Heidi's plenty of times before. I originally went in thinking I was just going to get a glazed donut, but they didn't have any ready yet. I ended up getting a glazed buttermilk bar since the worker suggested I try it. Never had it before but I really like it! The texture is kind of a cross between a donut and an apple fritter. When you hold it, it feels heavy, but you bite into it and its light. Thank you chuck for satisfying this nurse's late night cravings! Update: the blueberry cake donut is fire! I stopped by today to see if I could order a breakfast sandwich before work and the lady working there just kept repeating "This is breakfast" and I thought okay it is afternoon maybe they aren't serving the sandwiches anymore. So I proceeded to ask her what they were serving and she just kept telling me "This is breakfast". She even pointed at the donuts and said "This is breakfast" I was left confused and she was being really rude interrupting me and wouldn't answer my questions. So when I ended up just leaving because I wasn't even sure wtf they were even serving she was like "yeah bye bye". Wth kind of customer service was that? The donuts do not feel fresh and most of the time are stale and oily. Most of the time the employees there are not friendly and seem annoyed to even have to help you. The prices for half a dozen donuts changes every time I go in for no apparent reason. I order the same items every time. There also is a magical extra charge for 50 cents on the receipt. There is also pressure to leave a tip even when you feel overcharged and had unfriendly service for oily stale donuts. I don't go here anymore. There are way better donut shops just a few minutes away. Look on the yelp map and try different places. read more
