First off this, I just want to say that this place is a little hard to find. It's in an apartment complex and our Waze directions took us to a random parking lot on the other side of the building. It wasn't too much of a walk though. There was a bit of a line when we came around 230pm on a Saturday. We waiting an hour in line and another half hr for our drinks. We both got pudding milk tea because they ran out of boba. It was good! And refreshing and not too sweet(I got 25 or 30% sweet). I ordered a TEA latte and no tea flavor and not strong. I only tasked MILK. I didn't order milk and boba.... So bland and no flavor. I only drank half and throw away. I want my money back. Super good! Had it for the first time when I visited china and when I saw that they opened one here in the bay I knew I had to try it. Interior is super new and clean. We ordered the oolong milk tea and the plum green tea. We also got both drinks with the recommended sweetness level. The oolong milk tea was really good. It had a good balance of milk, tea, and sugar, which made the drink very enjoyable. On the other hand, the plum green tea tasted a bit too syrupy, bitter, and sour. It was not the cleanest tasting plum tea. Furthermore, the pearls were chewy and delicious. I also want to mention that the workers were extremely nice and helpful. I have only tried their black milk tea so far, the overall flavor is great, you can really taste the tea and the sugar/syrup they use is pretty unique, you can slightly taste the difference in their drinks. LOCATION: Near the Savoy apartment complex. When you drive by, you'll have to pass the store and turn right into the garage to look for guest parking. Sometimes the parking can be limited depending on how many people are in the area. ORDERING: They do have an online square site to take orders, this is great in case there are more people stopping by on the weekends. The drink itself is very light tasting compared to the other thicker / "heavier" tasting hojichas I've had, but thats not necessarily a bad thing in itself and the sediment from the leaves lends it an interesting texture. Located inside a housing area, with 30 min max street parking around. Ordered raspberry oolong tea 30% sweet, oolong latte 30%, and herbal tea (fixed sugar). Herbal tea was considered the stronger one than herbal black tea and the only highlight of the order. Oolong raspberry was very sweet for 30% and had no oolong tea taste. Last, the oolong latte tasted like straight up milk, not sure how that made it to top 10? Had to ask cashier to add more tea, however there were no changes to the drink . During their soft opening weekend I tried: - Plum green tea with aiyu jelly - Honey lemon oolong tea - Lemon green tea with aiyu jelly They were all really good! It tasted like authentic tea and they infuse their drinks with real fruits. The lemon drinks had a slice of lemon in them and the plum drink had an actual plum in it! Next time I'm going to try the more unique items on their menu like pomelo oolong tea, honey osmanthus oolong tea, or mango cheese drink. Customer service was great! The girl at the register was friendly and the owner who was serving the drinks was very kind and attentive. I normally get their delicious brown sugar pearl w/ fresh milk and the fiancé gets their plum green tea. Their manager recommended one of their top sellers, the honey osmanthus lemonade and we have never looked back! Tastes great and feels refreshing. The pearls here are also delicious, great flavor and perfect consistency! One note about the brown sugar pearl w/ milk, they do run out of it by the end of the day so if you wanted to try that, I recommend going early! read more

My wife and I have been drinking boba tea for 20 years and we always drink tea with no ice and no sugar to maximize the flavor of the tea. Among the many boba tea places in the South Bay, I can confidently say that Chun Yang is definitely one of the top ones. We went there for the first time today and ordered the Hojicha Tea Latte (no ice, no sugar) and Red Bean Oolong Tea Latte (no ice, no sugar & strong tea), and we both loved the flavor a lot. My wife's Hojicha had a strong baking flavor which my wife really enjoyed, and even without any sugar, it's not bitter at all. My Oolong was also really strong yet still smooth, and the red bean was not too sweat or mushy (sometimes the crushed beans makes me cough). A couple of minutes after we walked out, we went back and bought another 3 cups of tea! Overall, we really enjoyed the place and will definitely go back whenever we refill our tank at the Sunnyvale Costco :) read more
