Pleasantly surprised! Teashop tucked away in this new apartment complex. Parking was still easy to find. We got three drinks: raspberry oolong, oolong tea latte, and the kiwi yakult drink. Usually these places don't do fruit drinks so well, but my kiwi yakult drink was DELICIOUS. I can see how Chun Yang would be a great place for those that enjoy the full flavor profiles of tea. They provide the option of 'stronger tea flavor' for every drink which is awesome, but keep in mind that their tea is already strong! GREEN TEA CHEESE MACCHIATO: I do like a good cheese topping with my green tea, so I opted for this drink since it was also under the 'Most Popular' list. I chose 70% sugar which is above their recommended 50% and it was still not enough for me. The tea was very strong (which I normally prefer), however it was also quite herbal which was not very pleasant. The cheese topping was more salty than other shops. I wouldn't recommend this particular drink mainly because I did not enjoy the flavor of the green tea. LEMON GREEN TEA WITH AIYU JELLY: I love aiyu jelly and theirs is smooth, but the lemon was so sour that it overpowered the whole drink. We got the recommended 70% sugar level and were puckering after every sip! This drink is bound to satisfy any lemon lover, but for those that are adverse to sour, do not get this drink (or maybe get 100%+ if possible). RASPBERRY OOLONG TEA: Very fresh tart raspberry flavor. At 50% sugar (one level above the recommended) it was hardly sweet. If you want a real fruit tea without the artificial flavoring, I think Chun Yang excels here. **TL;DR: Tea is very strong and sugar level is incomparable to other boba shops. TLDR: Strongest Tea Flavor I've had I have a new favorite Tea place. I actually visited this place once before, for an Elite event. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to properly review the drink, since it was free. But I told my wife, that I want to go back here, and I can't believe it's taken this long. But! I remembered! This place is not in the usual Asian center, I think it actually serves the apartment complex around there. There's a parking garage if you go right past it on the right. Lots of parking. I went in, and to my dismay, it was empty. I thought it was closed, when I drove past it. They have 3 ordering kiosks, and I love the menu design there. Every drink, you get separate pages asking you what kinda options you want. And much to my surprise, there was an option for stronger tea! Yes please! Located in the Savoy apartments, the line to order was not long. However, there were lots of folks waiting for their drinks. While I got in line, I got a hold of a physical menu to look over. They offered some unique drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful (I heard Mandarin and English spoken). I ordered two drinks and went outside. I got the hojicha latte and a passion fruit green tea. Hojicha latte (No ice, 70% sweet) - It was actually really good! Could really taste the tea. Would try 50% sweet or get light ice if I go again. Also wanted to have taro as a topping since they sell taro drinks, but it is not possible to add it. Passion fruit green tea (No ice, 70% sweet) - Would recommend getting ice as it was actually warm. Usually when I get teas with no ice, it would still be cold, so I was a little surprised. Since I ordered a honey osmanthus oolong tea, the cashier let me know that they do have to add a little bit of sweetness to get that honey flavor, and suggested that I get 0% since I normally get 25% at other boba shops. Although it is a bit pricey, I can tell they use quality tea and ingredients, and the drinks are the perfect balance between not too sweet and not too bitter. The boba quality is also great. The kiosk suggested a 50% sugar level, but even with that, I couldn't detect any sweetness to balance out the burnt flavor. It just keeps getting worse as my mouth started to feel dry. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it halfway and ended up discarding it. Following, the Brown Sugar Pearl Milktea didn't leave a particularly memorable impression. On a positive note, the boba quality was spot on. The interior is clean with moderate seating and tables, including table counters at the window.The service was a bit slow, and we didn't get a warm welcome. Heard the drinks r on the sweeter side here so opted for 30% for both drinks and it was perfect! We waited over 30+ mins and they did not make the honey lemon drink hot which was disappointing. So this is very hidden... You definitely need to want to come here as it can be challenging to park. BUT if you're like my daughter who loves Winter melon - it may be worth it... Especially for those of us who have trouble with tiny prints AND the menus are on a maroon/reddish background with tiny tan/gold print? We have been wanting to visit but they were temp closed for a bit. Across the street from Costco and one of the only boba shops in the area. Plenty of parking within the Apartment complex. This appears to be the only shop here so far. Spacious and minimalistic decor that really works for the shop. A couple tables with patrons hanging out. Ordering is easy with a lot of customization which we really appreciate. The girl who helped us was very friendly and cheerful. We ordered the raspberry oolong tea and the honey osmanthus tea. Came out quickly. Both were high quality tea flavor and different from anything we've seen. We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. They are a bit on the pricey side but otherwise it was a hit. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty. It's right by an apartment complex and this area is pretty dead in general so I can't imagine it's typically busy. I ordered the pearl tea latte with 70% sweetness as they recommend, and it was pretty watered down. It lacked in tea flavor as well. However, my family enjoyed their fruit teas and the brown sugar boba milk. Unfortunately this doesn't make it in my top boba spots and I'd rather make the drive to Sunright a few miles away. read more

New tea place in South Bay! I have came here twice already! The first time, I got two popular drinks based on their NY yelp - oolong tea latte 烏龍鮮奶, smoked plum lemonade 烏梅檸檬. The latte is as expected good, and I was not a fan of the lemonade due to its subtle Chinese herb/medicinal taste. The second time, I got orange mountain tea 柳橙青茶 and plum green tea 梅子綠茶. Orange mountain tea was for a friend and she said it is good and comparable to orange drinks she got in Taiwan. For the plum green tea, it is very good! Stronger in tea flavor with a light note of plum. Overall, I think Chun Yang Tea's selling point is their tea flavor and especially in their fresh fruit flavor. I cant wait to come back to try their pineapple oolong and papaya milk! read more

Solid spot to fill your milk tea cravings! My bf and I got the hojicha latte iced as well as the fresh taro milk drink iced. We both ended up liking the fresh taro milk more because the milk was very refreshing and not too sweet, pairing great with the chewy taro bits. Their hojicha latte was your typical hojicha latte with a satisfying roasted tea taste and was not diluted. Though both drinks were satisfying, I would not say that they stand out from any other boba shop. With their prices being relatively high, $ 12.75 for two regular sized drinks (which were pretty small) , this may be a boba shop I go to every once in a while if Im in the area. read more

Super cute boba place! I wanted to try a different boba place in the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area and I stumbled upon Chun Yang Tea on Yelp. I have never heard of this place before and decided to try it out. I tried the black tea latte with 30% sweetness and it was perfect. There was definitely more tea flavor to this milk tea compared to other places however that's how I like to enjoy my milk tea. This is a good standard boba place that you can go to that will provide consistent drinks! They also have an online ordering system through their website so it was convenient if you're ever in a rush. read more

The first time being here, I ordered a Smoked Plum drink in advance through the Snackpass app. So when I got here, I got it to go instead of staying in the shop. The staffs were friendly, and the plaza has garage parking, but quite limited. I like this smoked plum drink. I don't see this kind of drink very often. It's super refreshing, especially since I had hot pot at home. I definitely will order this drink again or try other drinks. read more

Another go to boba spot for me in the South Bay! I love the variety of noncaffeinated boba milks that they have. I usually rotate between the brown sugar, taro, and purple rice boba milk drinks. The ingredients they use taste super fresh and I like that they use fresh taro for their taro milk. Their drinks are on the less sweet side so if you're someone who usually gets their drinks 100% sweet like me you might want to ask for extra sweet haha read more
