Nineteen of us descended on Seoul Korean BBQ yesterday for lunch, and the experience exceeded every expectation. The restaurant was spotless, welcoming, and appeared to have been recently remodeled. Bringing a group of 19 people into a restaurant at noon could easily overwhelm the serving staff and the cooks, but that was absolutely not the case here. About half of our group wanted the traditional Korean BBQ experience, which included grill tables and cooking their own meats and vegetables, while the others preferred dishes prepared by the kitchen. The staff accommodated both without missing a beat. We were seated quickly, orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived surprisingly fast. And it was plentiful! There was only one server working the dining room, yet she handled everything efficiently, professionally, and with a smile. Every order was correct, and everyone felt well taken care of. The checks were presented and taken care of very quickly. Most importantly, the food was excellent. Every person in our group left happy, and many were already talking about returning with their families. It's rare to find a restaurant that can handle a group of 19 so smoothly while delivering great food and outstanding service. Amazing meal. Chose the BBQ side which entails cooking your meal on the built in table grill. Did the wagyu beef with side dishes. Ordered for two which was a fair amount of beef so much we took some home. The side dishes were plentiful and she brought refills of whatever we needed. The sauces for the meat were delicious. I've eaten here many times over the years. I don't come very often, but now that I'm retired I can stop in whenever. I was greater and seated upon arrival, given a color menu with photos of many dishes. Today for a later lunch I ordered Kimchi Soondubu ... a hot and spicy tofu stew with kimchi and pork. It comes out boiling hot ready to sear your tastebuds, but wow it is so tasty. All entree meals are served with banchan...Korean side dishes. Typically seasoned soybean sprouts, spicy cucumber, spicy shredded radish, kimchi and others. They are pretty tasty. Dinner for two is nice but when you go as a group, it's a lot more entertaining if you do the All You Can Eat BBQ. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Great authentic Korean flavors and a nice variety of vegetable side dishes. For me, I would not say that their "spicy" meats were very spicy but definitely very flavorful. read more

My family and I have been going here for years and mostly go for the traditional dishes (not ACYE). Our go-to comfort foods are the dumpling soondubu and beef bulgogi which are always served piping hot & fresh. The servers are always friendly despite being busy. The restaurant seems to have done a DIY makeover recently. A lot of the furniture has been hand-spray painted. The ambiance has always needed a bit of work, but we were quite confused as to recent changes and missed spots (hand sprayed ceiling tiles too)! Also, it's always chilly in there. Bring a jacket! We did not do the All-you-can-eat BBQ. We did the regular menu. Excellent and friendly service. Wonderful menu, they had a few items I had not seen before and so we tried the Gimbap. Very good. We also had the pancake, delicious. Crispy and full of flavor. They had a lovely mix of Banchan, again with a couple of new items to me. The kimchi was wonderful. 4.5 stars! We did the ala cart for pork belly and bulgogi and it was more than enough meat for myself and my partner. The meat also came with an assortment of veggies to grill with the meat. I was very excited for the bon chon (side dishes)--that's usually my favorite part of Korean bbq. We enjoyed their potato and Kim chee, and they were kind enough to bring us more when we asked for more. There were other side dishes that weren't as exciting for us including bean sprouts, salad and fish cake. It took us about 45 min to grill and eat all the food. The price was pretty standard for Korean bbq, and we didn't do all you can eat. We left the restaurant stuffed. read more

I didn't want to smell like BBQ so I opted for the right... Ordered beef galbi (highly recommend); chicken bulgogi (tasted like chicken teriyaki but served on a sizzling platter); shrimp tempura (was cold and over cooked); bibimbap with tofu, served in hot pot bowl. The bibimbap was very bland and I added the Chicken bulgogi with all the sauce to the hot bowl, smashed it to the bowl and created a much better tastier entree, and also had the crust forming on the rice! The banchan was served in very meager portions. Satisfied with my order / although service was very mediocre- once the food is served, the waiter never came back to check on us. read more

TL;DR: This is a good Korean BBQ for Kitsap County. It holds me over till I can make it to Lakewood or Federal Way. We came here on a Saturday night around 6pm and were seated right away. We chose to do the All-You-Can-Eat and ordered the beef bulgogi, all the chicken variety, veggies and gyoza. The beef bulgogi was good and so was the spicy chicken. Needless to say, we did not reorder the chicken bulgogi. The banchans were all really good and we refilled a few times. The staff were all really welcoming and friendly. The closest Korean bbq I could find near me and it was authentic AND delicious! The owners were there and you can tell they work hard for their business they've grown. I did the AYCE. My only con was the extremely limited options they had for the price that was given for AYCE. Pro was it was all delicious. Possibly because of the small city but If I wanted to make my AYCE price and option Worth it, I'd rather go for other kbbq places further away due to more options for the same price. But since I am near this restaurant for the time being, I wouldn't mind going here for genuine Korean food if I'm really craving it. We did the all you can eat and omg. Just the one servings of meat were HUUUUUGE. I actually got sick from eating so much just from the one servings. So come incredibly hungry I if you're going to do that!! Lol It comes with various kimchi type sides, as well as three gyoza or soup, as well as a salad for the table that has a great dressing, and each person gets their own steamed white rice. I think everyone's favorite was the beef bulgogi (normal and spicy). We all had a good time cooking our own meats. While I've had better Korean bbq in Lynwood and Federal Way, this is actually pretty good for Kitsap. I wish they brought out more banchan, as we depleted those dishes pretty quickly. We all had a good time on Friday night. As a caveat, you will walk out smelling like bbq and it'll stick with you for a while. read more

So my gal and I dined at Soule Korean BBQ Restaurant in Silverdale. We were not impressed. First off, this is the only Korean restaurant I've ever been to that didn't serve kimchi. The lady said that particular menu item we chose doesn't come with kimchi I'm sorry, but there's not a single Korean restaurant in Washington State other than Soule Korean BBQ that doesn't serve kimchi with everything no matter what you order you get kimchi if you order tea you get kimchi, if you order coffee you get kimchi, if you order donuts, you get kimchi least in or most Korean restaurant except for this one, strange! Secondly, we both had chicken Katsu, which was dry and hard; wasn't very warm and the sauce was just basic blah barbecue sauce. The rice was cold instead of giving you some type of Korean vegetables, my box lunch came with a bunch of boring, wilted salad greens. Apparently the cooks running Soule Korean BBQ have been in the United States too long. They need to go back to Korea and find out what Korean people eat. Anyway, there's lots of other eateries in Silverdale. If you want good Korean food I would suggest you go to Suzi's Kitchen amin West Bremerton, there's also a couple other restaurants in the same area where Soule Korean is. This is the only gig in town for Korean BBQ so for that reason alone I should give 5 stars!! Nothing to compare it to so it has to be the best there is right? Guess it doesn't really work that way, then people would expect a 5 star experience! Service was standard, we flagged somebody down if we needed anything with no expectations they would read our minds. When asked, they were very responsive and returned immediately with what we asked for. They seemed very busy and focused, not standing around chatting. First of all, the food is good, but then maybe that's because I cooked it!! Although unexpectedly sweet, the marinade was good and the meat tender. The shrimp were still frozen a bit, that may have helped them not over cook but did ad time to the process. We didn't do the all you can eat option because I wanted shrimp however next time we will since it wasn't quite enough food. We're not big eaters and have leftovers no matter where we go but we managed to clean the plates and probably could have handled a little more! All the sides were good, although small portions I do believe they refill them. They don't offer lettuce wraps and we missed those but made do without them. The place is freezing! I mean jacket and scarf freezing! I'm sure during the warmer months it's better but we nearly froze and couldn't wait to get to the warmth of the car! I feel like the recent reviews on this place are incredibly misleading. I was worried going in but immediately had great service from the staff, the all you can eat was $30 per person which considering how much meat we went though, was very reasonably priced. We especially loved the spicy chicken and sliced beef. They turned the overhead fans on as soon as it started to get a bit too smoky in the room which was great and the workers were super attentive with refills and asking if we needed anything. This is one of those do-it-yourself restaurants. And every time I try to bring friends and family there for the first time they get really nervous and balk at the idea, because it is a cook your own meat and vegetables at the table. So this restaurant really does it for me. And everybody that I've brought that came kicking and screaming have actually had a really fantastic time and enjoy their meal. They have a special going on right now, that is all you can eat for just under $20, and it is a savings of about $3 per person. If you don't want to do the grill your own you can certainly sit on the other side of the restaurant and order the typical Korean dishes. No matter what you do it's all good. But I prefer the grill because it's just more fun. My only caveat is that because there is fresh raw meat that you use different utensils to cook with versus what you serve with. I highly recommend this restaurant, but do note if you're going to do the grill your own you need to have a party of at least two people dining. read more

So we have been coming to this place to get our AYCE Korean BBQ fill in for quite sometime. The staff is very nice and friendly and the bulgogi is delicious, which are some of the reasons we come back. I also love the gyoza!! When we first started coming here it seemed like they would change the grill top every so often when there was excessive char on there, but it seems like they don't do that anymore which can make the meat suffer a little bit. What happened to this place? We use to love eating here even though their prices were a little higher because the quality of food was always good and on point. After eating here today I don't think I will be coming back. The soon dubu was not the same! It use to come made to order with big pieces of tofu and tender Mandu. Today it seemed like it was made in a large pot with ity bity smashed up tofu and falling apart mandu. It was also sour and didn't have the right color. My dad couldn't even eat it (and he use to kill this bowl by himself) The banchan's were not the same. Flavors were bland. The teriyaki was bland and the sauce use to be thicker but today it was watery. Let me move on to the service, or the lack there of. It took the lady a full 2 mins to seat us at an immediate seating situation as there was only I table with patrons. (No problem she may have been super busy) When we were seated she gave us some time to look over the menu! And I mean TIME, because it took her forever to come back. I then asked her if we got banchan with dining and she said.... Yeah banchan? They are sides! I try not to complain about language barriers because English isn't my first language but they could at least put a person who can inderstand English as a server. There were several attempts to communicate with her but she just kept shaking her head. It took forever to get our food and the banchan came with it (usually it is served kind of like an appetizer) I'm not sure if they are under new management as I thought the owners have retired and the servers aren't the same people. The only joint in KITSAP county that I personally think hands down has AUTHENTIC/FAIR price for a Korean bbq!! Also only place that has a grill. One thing you should know is korean bbq is not cheap so if you're looking for $10 meal, you should probably go elsewhere. They have lunch specials, small side dishes before your meal is served, and ALL YOU CAN EAT Korean BBQ. They don't have that anywhere in Kitsap besides this place. Giving two stars based on location and gyoza's. We are new to the area and decided to give this place a try based on reviews. I was not impressed. I've had enough yummy Korean food to know this place is not that great. I got kimchi jigae which was sweet and had more pork than kimchi - not sure how that's kimchi stew. i didn't even finish the soup so it was a waste of money. My husband got chicken bulgogi which was clearly not chicken bulgoi but more like grilled chicken dressed with scallions. The banchan was flavorless and the sides picked were not appetizing. The only saving grace were the gyoza's and close proximity to our hotel. ***Maybe the BBQ is good but from what we ordered I was disappointed. read more

Go for the bbq. They have such bomb spicy pork, kalbi, spicy chicken, all of it. It's all good. I recommend the all you can eat option. It's the best way to do it. Also they kind of let you pick and choose what you want (for example I don't really prefer the regular chicken as an option). This is a quiet and under rated spot in my opinion. read more

Came here on a Friday night around 8pm and found the place fairly slow going. I was going to do the $19 all you can eat Korean BBQ deal but you must have 2 people minimum to do that. Oh well, I went for plan B which was to ask the owner what a rookie to Korean food should get. She said if I liked pork or chicken then those such entree's were safe bets to start with. I picked the marinated sliced pork in hot and spicy sauce. It comes with the classic Korean side plates as well. The sides come out first which was like 6-7 small dishes from black beans to rice and spiced apples and kimichee. All very good and worth trying out. The marinated pork comes out on a hot sizzling plate and looked as good as it tasted. Its a got a nice kick to it yet but not so much a real heat and I was glad because my nose was running as it was. Its more of a sweet spice then a hot spice as I found it. Very good indeed. The service is fast and quick, the staff and friendly and kind to new comers. The prices are right for what you get.
