The windows are very dirty, as well as the front door. That was my first warning. But I went in anyway. I was greeted by a very nice person. She explained that some of the extra toppings would be placed on the side, which was very odd. I waited over 25 minutes to have my order finished. I was behind about two people, which was way too long. I can imagine if their were other customers present it would probably have take over an hour for my order. No napkins on the tables, so I knew where I was (Ghetto). I got my hot sub, it was very messy, the bread was not suitable for the meat it was a smaller roll, and full of grease, the meat was very bland, no taste whatsoever, unseasoned meat, nothing like the philly taste at all. It was so sloppy and meat just fell out of the roll, into the foil. The foil was of a good grade, and they wrapped it with plastic wrap. I have no clue of why they used plastic wrap on the sandwich. I would never go there again, what a waste of time. Yums makes a better product then this place. I would never ever tell someone to go to this nasty looking no tasting place. I can make a better sandwich them them by far. I have had a real philly cheese steak, they are in no way in the same class. Not even close. The Chinese restaurants make better cheesesteaks then they do. Wasted money time and gas. read more

I went here because I saw all the raves on IG and having lived in Philly over 20 years ago and having been known to ride to Philly just to get a steak, I was like ok lets go and make it happen. The only thing that reminded me of Philly was the size (length) of the sandwich and how stuff'd it was. Other than that, it was very lackluster. Many other people have complained about the time it takes to get their order. There is no way I would ever have to wait an hour from the time I ordered to the time I picked up if I was in Philly. Now certain shops you may have to stand online to place your order but once its placed.....10 minutes tops its in your hand. This place you can only order online or via the kiosk at the food court. Because of this it makes me wonder why the food takes so long. They don't have to deal with actually taking an order or receiving payment all they have to do is cook. There is no reason it takes that long to make a sandwich. It took just over an hour to get my food. The other thing is too they didn't have a storefront that I could see. This is a food court. All the other venues had a store front you could walk up to and talk to someone or at least see them cooking your food. This one you had to deal with the hostess who was at the front who seemed annoyed, and I don't think it had to do anything with the customers. It purely had everything to do with the sheer number of people expecting to be able to walk in to get their food after finding a place to park, which is no easy feat, and having to tell them that their order isn't ready. All of that responsibility fell on her, but she is the hostess for the entire food court. One guy was sitting there. His number was 72 and they were only in the 50's. I was 56 and I had ordered online. By the time I had gotten my food they were only up to 59. Yes, orders made after mine came out before mine. Now once I received my food I had to drive home about 20-30 minutes and surprisingly it was still somewhat warm once I got there however there were some issues with my order. First, I love hot peppers on my steak.....In Philly they will throw them on the grill while the steak is cooking and chop them in with the onions. Here they don't allow that. They say pickles and hots come on the side. I received none at all. I also ordered fries. Fries were cooked well.....like most carry-oust a few were over cooked so no knock for that. They were slightly seasoned. They did sprinkle some salt on but that was minimal. They did also put pepper....They must use a pepper mill because I could see the pepper....the granules were way too big.....grinder should have definitely been on the finest setting. No one wants to bite into a piece of peppercorn. Now finally the steak......When I picked it up it felt right. The weight of it. When I held it, I felt like I was on South St. I had that Daym Drops it's about to go down moment. When I unwrapped it I immediately had that feeling go away. The inside of the foil paper had this red coloring on it. I've seen yellow grease. I've seen brown grease. I have never seen red grease. I ordered nothing that should have made the grease red. They don't offer you lettuce or tomato on steak cuz honestly that ain't the Philly way. I ordered steak with mayo and prov. I said my grace and took my knife to cut the sandwich cuz oh yeah, they don't cut it for you not even in half. Even in Philly the Belly Buster getting cut in half. Who going to pick up an 18" sandwich and bite into it? I take a bite and get this sweet taste. I was immediately turned off. No taste of salt at all. If you ever been to a Philly steak shop you will see them pick up that little metal shaker and all that's in it is some SPG....salt, pepper, garlic.....none of that taste came through. Whatever made the grease red I'm almost certain made the steak have a sweet taste. I wanted to see if this place would be able to keep me from going to Philly a few times a year to get a steak. It will not. Honestly, I will probably never visit again. It just wasn't worth it between the wait time and quality of food. They also do hoagies and maybe that is a faster turnaround since they aren't really cooking anything just making a deli sandwich. I went to support a BOB which I did but unfortunately can't recommend this one to anyone I know. next time I want a steak I will just drive up to Philly and go to Max's. read more

The bad first. It took over an hour to get my two sandwiches. Second complaint, no tomatoes and lettuce for the sandwiches. Now the good. The sandwiches were full of meat and actually were good. Not one review that I've seen on Tik Tok mentioned the wait time or the fact that it's a ghost kitchen. My friend found this place on TikTok and thought it would be a good spot for us to check out; we placed our order, which took two hours! When we spoke to the owner to inquire about why the wait is so long for a chicken sub, he became standoffish and gave a long speech on how good his work ethic is, how busy it's been all day, and the quality of the beef... the beef, ... mind you we all ordered chicken. I wish I could leave zero stars. I wanted to try this place so my husband and I went on January 18th. After placing our order and waiting for almost 2 hours it still wasn't ready. When I checked the status of the order they were in order 12 we were order 23. I decided to cancel but they told us only the owner could and he wasn't there so there bartender called him and he told him to write down our name email and order number and he would issue the refund when he arrived. I was disappointed that we had to wait close to 2 hours for a 12" cheesesteak. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, and had cheesesteaks all over Phila, NJ, and DE. I can honestly say people who rate these cheesesteaks as delicious must never have had an authentic Phila. cheesesteak. As cheesesteaks go, it was ok (It's almost impossible to find a excellent Philadelphia rated cheesesteak in this area). For the life of me, I cannot fathom why we had to wait almost 2 hours when the best Phila cheesesteaks only takes at most 3 minutes to cook. I don't know where they're from, but Chunky and Bop must think piling on the meat makes the sandwich better. Anyone from Phila will tell you the opposite is generally true. We were told while waiting, call in our orders and don't expect to get an oder in five minutes as a walk-in. The owner said you should expect to wait about 1 1/2 hours for your order to be ready as acwalk-in. You will NEVER experience this foolishness in Phila. I could almost drive to Philadelphia and get a cheesesteak in the time we had to wait for this "ok" sandwich. , I don't know about you, but no sandwich in the world is worth a 2 hour wait. After hearing about this place on social media I decided to try it. For me, it was an absolute waste of time and money. I placed, my order online. I ordered the 12 inch cheese steak with fried onions, extra mayo, extra ketchup, extra provolone and red cherry peppers. When we opened our sandwich we saw extra cheese, extra mayo, a couple of drops of ketchup and some meat. The peppers that we ordered on a sandwich when we placed our order we're no were to be found. When my husband was reaching the bag to get some napkins he found containers of peppers and pickles. When I called the store to inquire about it. I was told that "They always serve peppers and pickles on the side. They're never on the sandwich. He stated something having to do with " them taking away from the taste of the meat and then I would called back and complain that I couldn't taste the meat". And then this guy had the nerve enough to tell me, I could put that on there myself. First of all, I have no problem paying for what I want, regardless of the cost. ONE problem that I have is you advertising it in your pictures one way but you order it online the way you wanted and then its given to another way. The other problem that I have is the way you correspond with me. I don't know what you do with your other customers but you certainly displayed no tact or diplomacy as far as I was concerned. Justno! This place is located in a space where there's nothing but kiosk and tables and a host. You can either order online which we did or use the kiosk in the space but when ordering online, you can't really customize your order. You can only add or remove things that are already pre.-selected. We order 2 Philly cheesesteaks and the G pop sandwich. They took every minute of that hour that they warned us about if you order online. The meat on the sandwiches had a bland taste and you could barely taste any of the Mayo that we requested. I like my peppers and onions sliced and they do not do that. Instead, they dice their peppers and onions, giving a non-existent taste to the sub. The cold sub was just as dry as the hot ones and just meh as mentioned before, called the G Pop. And before you spend six bucks on the so-called fresh cut fries, just get some Orida crinkle cut and cook them yourself . I'm sure that's what they did. The food was good. The service however was a bit confusing. I wanted the experience that I saw on Instagram which lead me to drive almost an hour. I was told once I got there that it was a ghost restaurant. I then had to spend more money at other establishment's because the wait time was so long. After another fifteen minutes, we were told the kitchen never received our order. We showed the receipt to one of the staff members and ask how long it would be for the order. This building is located on the corner of Woodbury Street in Riverdale, you won't find it directly because when your GPS says you're here, you're going to look for the establishment but please know it is located inside of the corner building along with other vendors. The inside is an open seating area where you can order from one of the four vendors or sit at the bar, which is called Casper's . It looks like each individual establishment shares the open seating area. The only way to order the food is by the kiosk located at the front. But please understand there's one kiosk for Chunky and Bops, which is located in the middle. It took us an hour to get a steak and cheese and please note that they do not use lettuce or tomatoes and it's not an option to get them either. This was a big disappointment. what is a steak and cheese without lettuce or tomatoes. We drove an hour to find this out. Although, you can get lettuce and tomatoes on a hoagie. I hope they make a change and offer it as an optional side. The fact that it took an hour to get a steak and cheese is way too much since all you're doing is grilling steak and cheese literally, but with this showing on IG, I expect some type of wait. The staff was very friendly and made the wait bearable, and they were very helpful. I did not actually see a chunky and Bob's vending area, they must operate out of a back kitchen, like a ghost kitchen. The food was only ok, because you can't get it fixed in a traditional way and, I never imagined just eating chopped steak with cheese on it. I hope in the future that there will be some changes as small as adding a lettuce and tomato option. Social media blew it up, but in order to keep business, I hope they add that small change. Almost everyone there was surprised that they did not have lettuce or tomatoes as this became a topic of discussion for those waiting. But I encourage everyone to go at least once. i recently had a very bad experience at this location my order was placed online and when i arrived at the location i was told it was a hour or two wait for my food so i asked to speak with someone and was told that i could get a refund so at this point i call who now i know to be the owner for the refund and was told i could wait around but im at the bottom of the line and he is running out of meat so i say no and he says that he would do the refund right then and i would receive conformation so i wait around because i didnt know who i was talking to on the phone when i didn't get any conformation after 15 minutes i call back and the gentelman assured me that it was done so i leave now i check my account the next morning and no refund so i get in the car and go to the restaurant and its closed for the day so he really ran out of food day 3 now i call him to let him know i didn't receive the refund and he says they have done all the refunds so i tell him i will come back when he is open and he says just come and he will replace the food so at this point day 4 my wife said just get the food so now i call him to have him make the food and he says come in first he doesn't want to pay twice LOL UNREAL so when i arrive and show him my account he says oh you paid by door dash they didn't pay me you have get the refund from them they are third party this is bad business the guy never said i apologize for the inconvenience after he lied and said he did the refund he acted like i was trying to get something free which he should have after all the gas and time i spent cause he was lying very bad business i would never return even if it was free read more
