I had a school booklet coupon where you buy a 2 piece combo get one free. So I head over here, they have a drive-thru, which I think is super. There was no line so I pulled right up placed my order, then drove to the window... I don't recall ever eating at Church's chicken before, if I ever had it was as a child. Worst service ever!! It looks like after this pandemic service has gone downhill.... you're on drive thru and they ask what you want, you order and since you know what you're supposed to get you don't make much fuss since there's a huge line and you're trying to be on your way. I love their food but the last time I placed an order for a party the cashier was not that helpful. Then I placed my party order and the cashier says that will be ready in 15 min so I go to pick it up maybe 20 min later and I pay then he says OK that will be 10 min their throwing your order in right now. I'm like OK how does ordering ahead of time make sense if when I get there I have to wait because there going to start cooking when I get there. Church's updated their recipe on chicken such that the batter contains more flour and less salt. This makes for a more crispy fried chicken, and without the dry salty mouth hours after eating. As for this location, the service is very prompt, and their prices are competitive. Because of this, I always turn to this store for fried chicken. I recommend their spicy chicken. read more

The cashier was a cool dude. He shouted out to his manager to help him throw 4 cheese bombers in the fryer. When my food was ready, he noticed there was only 3 and grabbed another from the freezer to throw in the fryer and then the manager just told him to serve it as is. I knew exactly what was happening. Went to purchase chicken with a coupon. The guy at the window said "can I see that coupon?" So I show him my phone and he says, "Oh, no. That's from 2017." Then I said " It doesn't state a year. It only states the month and day(10/31)". He said, "Are you gonna tell me, the assistant manager? It's not $16.99. It's $17.49 if you want to take it." Then I said "OK whatever it is, I want that deal." Then he said "You don't have to get hostile." Then I looked at him like I was in shock at his attitude. That's when I asked "what is your name and position?" Then he replied, "I don't have to serve you.I can refuse service." So I asked his name again and he refused again to give it. I've been a frequent customer at this branch for years. I have never been dissatisfied with their food. I personally recommended trying their biscuits with frosting. At the request of my son we visit this location on July 19th at around 7pm. After a long day at work I chose to be lazy and went thru the drive thru. The employee that took our order sounded so bored and disinterested in his job at hand. I did not take offense because I myself have had days like this. But I hold my self accountable and stop my self from being out right rude to customers that indirectly pay my salary. I got to the window to pay and get my order. I got the most rude service in history. The employee did not greet me or advice me of my total just took my card. He returned handed over my card and my receipts. I reviewed them like any good consumer should and noticed that my card had been charge twice! At this point I was extremely upset with the whole transaction but what followed really took the cake. After I reviewed my receipts I noticed that the employee made a mistake on the first transaction and charge my card again for the difference. Which in any case would have been fine but a warning would have been appropriate. When the employee came back with the bags of food I asked him about it. Which the employees' answer was "yes I did charge the card and you notice it so...." I was livid at his reaction to my concerns of his lack of customer service. I had to ask for his name because he was not wearing a name tag. Also demanded that he refund the whole transaction. Before he was done refunding my money I was on the phone with there corporate office. They took my information and apologize for this employees lack of customer service and rude behavior. I was told that I would receive a call from the location manager. To this day I have not received a call from anyone from this location as promised. Based on their lack of commitment to good customer service I would never come back. read more

Service at this location, Baldwin Pk., is fast and efficient. The employees and even the mngr. interact with customers nicely unlike the one in Hacienda Blvd., La Puente. Employees in that store are so lazy and they all move in slow motion as if there are no other places to go to get chicken. I will never ever go back to that place. read more

I've been a loyal Church's chicken consumer for years now. I usually prefer it over KFC, but over the years, you guys have lost your touch and I'm deeply disappointed. You have substituted quantity over quality, faster service instead of quality taste. I dislike the fact that anytime I go in, I would see hundreds of bone-in chicken just piled up one after another and kept heated for who knows how long. The chicken itself does not taste the same as it used to, its not as fresh (you can definitely taste it), sometimes mediocrity warm, sometimes overcooked. There is that lack of juice every time I bite into, that lack of flavor that I remember biting into several years ago, when I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my chicken to be cooked fresh out of the freezer (I suppose). This was the same time when a 10 pc legs and thighs were only 4.99 on Wednesdays (the Wednesday special). Since then, the quality is below standard and overly disappointing. read more
