SO first and foremost, keep in mind that Church's is fast food fried chicken. Nothing more. You're not going here for an outstanding dining experience. You're going here for hot, fast, good fried chicken, and I can honestly say that with one or two exceptions, they have NEVER let me down. Church's is SO much better than KFC (on their BEST day), and more value priced. Staff vary from being friendly to downright charming at times, with hardly ever being standoffish or unfriendly. I can't think of one time that I've ever felt unwelcome. We probably hit Church's 2-3 times a month, and I can say I never get tired of it. It's probably the only fast food place in Owasso that I can say that about. Again... it's fried chicken, mashed potatos w gravy and some sides. It's not the Ritz..... but it is some damn fine chicken. read more

Usually this Church's is on point they are quick and food has always been fresh so thank you for that. But today was different. Started off with horrible customer service. I initially asked if we could make the family meal half spicy and half regular and she just replied yea. I wasn't done ordering when she gave me my total. We pull up to the window and she hands me our bag and I asked if that was everything and she said yea and closed the window. I called up there and they said the manager was helping someone in the drive-thur and he would give her the message. Not that I expect 5 star service at a fast food restaurant, but customer service was terrible. I ordered a family sized meal through the drive thru and stated I had a coupon from their website. Obviously this is very inconvenient for the woman taking my order and she let me know this by some snippy comments. When I pulled to the window I informed her that I didn't need to use the coupon If it's that big of a deal, that I would pay the $3 extra dollars. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is bc a coworker came to the window and applied the coupon to my order and then was very nice when bringing my food out to me. Terrible customer service! We went through the drive-thru and got three big boxes with chicken tenders. We had to wait 20 minutes for our food and then when we got home it was wrong and inedible. The chicken was so thin it looked like jerky that had been fried. It also was tough like jerky. All three boxes had the wrong sides. When we called to speak with the manager we were told the manager would call us the next day. She never called so when my husband called again and was finally able to reach her she was incredibly rude. She said that they required to have all the chicken back before they can do anything. Why would we keep an edible chicken overnight? He explained the situation the night before and no one told him we would need to keep the food. Such a disappointment! read more

Went to Church's Chicken to try new BBQ half chicken meal for $5.00. We took it to go and when we got home it was much smaller than advertised on TV and the half chicken was, so tough it remined me of Lampoon Christmas Turkey. The worst Chicken I have ever tried to eat. The mashed potatoes and biscuit were good. I think the chicken was left over from either early morning and served in afternoon or the night before. read more

I was relieved to see someone else had a coupon issue here. So did I. I tried to use the Free Side coupon. Well, apparently they do not accept screenshots and the manager woman (Janet) proceeded to lecture me over and over again on this, even screaming after me as I drove away! I kid you not. 6 times she asked to see the coupon and each time she said "I'll let you use it this time, but not again.", then lectured me a bit more. SIX TIMES! On 2 occasions, she dragged random employees over to evaluate my situation. That's the thing about humiliating someone when you're sadistic, it's so much more fun to share it with others. Each time, I tried to talk to her, explain to her, reason with her - but she walked off or slammed the window and shut me out every time I opened my mouth. Her tone and attitude were unbelievably nasty. I don't think she would have been that mad if I had run over her puppy. By the time we were done, I felt like I had gotten caught trying to rob them and beaten. No one should have to go through this kind of abuse. Ok, fine. Horrible Drive-thru service, had to bring order back in to store ... receipt had correct order EXCEPT for she wanted 2 piece mixed chicken but what we got was incorrect. My Mom took it back in because I am disabled ... Curtis the older gentleman came up and she told him the order in the bag was wrong but was correct except for that she wanted the 2 piece mixed chicken, he very loudly and rudely told her that he filled it right & what he entered on our receipt was incorrect ... ummmm NO , I checked it to be sure I had been charged correctly and saw that he had charged for two of the 3 chicken strips ... one okra/mashed and the other corn/mashed ... that part was correct. He continued yelling at her when the night shift manager came in, heard him yelling and hit him ... they then changed her order for her. She came out & was upset and told me ... and trust me I am younger at 41 and I don't let anyone yell at my Mom especially when I HEARD exactly what she ordered and would have told her if she had done it wrong ... cause I do that. I was ready to come in and have some meaningful words with both him, and the shift leader and ask for the Management to call me. NEVER allowing any family or friends to go there again, and my Dad is a long standing officer in Owasso, trust me none of them will be back to your restaurant with your staff acting that way. read more

I'm typically not too critical about food. However, the experience I just had at this Churches Fried Chicken restaurant deserves to be shared. The service was fairly quick considering what I ordered. The staff was friendly and the side dishes were as to be expected, nothing great but ok. The main dish of chicken stripsHowever, was horrible! For a place that makes its business selling fried chicken, one would think that they would have figured out by now how to keep the chicken fresh, crispy & juicy. I ordered the chicken strips thinking that would make a good snack for the evening. Maybe it was the time of day. Maybe I just got a bunch of left overs. I don't know. It was about 7:45pm when I went there and placed my order. Unfortunately, the chicken strips were so thin that they had dried up and become chewy. It was like trying to eat Chicken Jerky! Needless to say, that was good money gone to waste because the main dish of the meal was horrible. They may have something better on their menu, but I can't recommend the chicken strips. read more

AVOID Church's in Owasso, Oklahoma like the bird flu. I recently ate there and was starved the rest of the day. I don't know what Church's does with there decent chicken pieces (maybe the employees hoard the good chicken for themselves or their relatives). Combine miniscule pieces of chicken with slow service and you get Church's Chicken in Owasso. If you want to waste your money and time, then Church's in Owasso, Oklahoma is your rip off place. read more
