I have always loved Church's Chicken but after eating at this location I may never eat their chicken again at any location. Absolutely horrible and tasted nasty. I could tell by the color of the crust when I opened the box something was different. I think it is some sort of spice and if all locations have gone to this it is just sad. I came here because I was craving the tenders. I got the #8 junior combo meal aka the kids meal. It came with two tenders, a biscuit, gravy, and one side. My meal was nice and fresh but for a drive thru it took me about 10-15 minutes to get my food. I was also the only one in the drive thru lane. Many people in Kerrville give this place mixed reviews but if you are craving their food, then you will eat it regardless of what the reviews say. read more

The best Church's Chicken I've visited. Let me tell you why. They were super backed up, low on people, struggling to get orders out, but their customer service was unmatched. Constantly apologizing for the wait, ordering free upgrades. I love Church's, so I was planning on waiting forever if I had to. Rosia was on the cash register, making sure the customers had their orders perfected. Jenna got all of the dining room and drive-thru meals prepared. Boss man was busy cooking everything. Yep, just the three of them. It was hard to watch, but worked so well together. It took some time for me to get my order, but watching them work made it so worth it. And, of course, the chicken was juicy and cooked the Church's way. read more

This is a definite hit or miss food place. This visit was HORRID. Lackluster service without a smile or hello. We ordered to go and ate in our vehicle in the parking lot. There were no napkins, no plastic ware for the potatoes. The biscuits were gooey inside and the tenders was rubbery as if they had been under the heat lamp too long. The potatoes were ordered without gravy but came with gravy. The ice tea was undrinkable. Neither of us could tolerate more than two sips and through it out. It tasting like insect spray. We had been warned a couple of weeks ago that their drinks were undrinkable but had forgotten. Never again. A total waste of $20. WE WILL NOT BE BACK to this location. read more

I was disappointed, I was really wanting their biscuits but they didn't give us any biscuits. We didn't get any gravy. To make things worse they messed up on our order. One was right, the other one was wrong. We got the mix chicken. Our other order was the number 3 just tender. We got no tenders, no gravy, no biscuits. The fries were awful. Don't understand how a chicken place runs out of chicken when they don't seem busy at all. Had to settle for tenders and when I went to eat them they were cold to the touch. I feel like I was given someone else's leftovers. I did not receive gravy but instead was given a handful of different sauces and ketchup packets that I did not ask for. Ordered two regular fries. Waited twenty minutes for them. The woman at the counter forgot to drop them but was busy and polite, so I understand and forgave her. She is fantastic. The older, large black man however (the manager?) was an example of the worst customer service I have ever seen. Flirting with the cute girl in the drive through? Check? Not doing anything for those waiting for their food? Check. Saying loud enough for us to hear "I don't care, get them out of here" when the woman asked if she could put our food in a box. I went through the drive through a few days ago and asked if they made certain sandwich that I thought I had ordered from a Church's in the past. Well Courden, forgive me if I misspelled his name, wasn't sure what the sandwich was but instead of just saying no, he offered to make something similar. Gave me bread options as well as the type of chicken. So friendly and seemed to really want to make sure I was happy. Great customer service is so hard to find these days in fast food, much less the drive thru. Give that man a raise!! read more

All we wanted was two 2-3 piece boxes with 2 sides each. No such thing. According to the clerk, the only option was to buy 5 pieces and then 2 individual sides. It didn't even make sense. I found my first visit to this restaurant to be unsatisfactory. I ordered the chicken livers to go, & when I got home (which was at least 12 miles away), the livers weren't done & were bloody, so I had to cook them, & of course the whole idea of ordering at a restaurant, is so one doesn't have to cook. Even though they gave us a replacement order the next time we were in town, they were rude, & it wasn't handled well. They will not get any more of our business. read more

We ordered 250 pieces of chicken for our (huge) family reunion last weekend, and we were VERY satisfied with the service. The chicken was ready when they said it would be (we were a little late picking it up). The chicken was very good and they were large pieces and very well cooked.
