I've been eating at Chuys for years. Brought my kids here when they were young, and now for a beer. Its a fun place with friendly staff. Atmosphere is great, but food runs from delicious to tasteless . Maybe it depends on who's cooking. Had a breakfast burrito that had moist tender tri tip, but no flavor. Same with the refried beans. This place is ok. They need more help. The girl who helped us was not friendly at all. She acted like she didn't want to be there. Some guy said it was the Owners daughter. The customers are a blended group of diversity. Seems like a lot of regular patrons in the patio area. Families & couples seem to stay inside. People were complaining about buying Chips & Salsa, I guess they use to be Free. The food was average. A couple of guys told us a lot of people go to a Mexican market in the same parking lot to get tacos & burritos. They are better tasting and you get more for your money. Tips from the Locals. I think Britney was the bartender buy can't remember sorry but anyway I ordered 2 margaritas, one Cadillac and one regular, they were ok so next time I'll probably try a different drink. I ordered the chicken taquitos which were good especially with the SALSA from the salsa bar. Besides the killer food (French Fries and Hot Shrimp are a must here!) and drinks (Cadillac Margarita all the way!) the service is always fast and friendly! 100% kid-friendly, as there are a few arcade games towards the back of the restaurant. It's perfect because you can sit down at a table with your adult friends while keeping an eye on the kiddos playing games. The staff give out balloons for the kids, which makes their day. Visited this restaurant a little less than a month ago with some friends and thought the place was great however I found that the general manager, Drew was rude, demeaning and unprofessional. We sat in the front towards the entrance of the restaurant and overheard him tell a customer that he would never "hire a lesbian." I want to emphasize that his demeanor was nothing less of "discriminatory" and it is apparent he was not joking. Whether or not you find this kind of 'humor' funny, when there are children and families around it is inappropriate. Not to mention, it is disrespectful to somebody's sexual orientation. The food and drinks are top notch at a reasonable prices. Everything from delicious burritos to the best tri tip sandwich in town (I recommend it on their garlic bread). They have a wide variety to satisfy your hunger. Plenty of draft beers on tap, plus the friendly bartenders will mix you up a wide array of refreshing cocktails.
