Simply INCREDIBLE Tex-Mex food! Everything I had was delicious. The new ranch sauce they serve along with the chips and salsa is really addictive. Although their chips and queso do not match up with the gold standard (Torchy's), it's still very good. After having a burrito, I went for a tres leches. Now, being born and raised in Miami and eating various types of tres leches over my lifetime, I do not say this lightly: this is the best tres leches I've had in my life!!! This place used to be consistently good, but the last couple visits have been lacking. We get to-go orders, so I'm not sure what it's like inside, but our order quality control is not up to par. One visit we ordered chicka chicka boom boom and there was no cheese in the enchiladas. The next order they forgot part of our order, and the steak burritos were pretty deflated, missing half their filling. My kids chicken strips were burnt. Mediocre & overrated (minus the jalapeño ranch). I came here for lunch with my sister, and we sat at a table in the bar area for 10mins before we were greeted by a friendly waitress. She asked for our drink order, checked our IDs and disappeared. A bit later, Eddie brought out our drinks and asked if we wanted to order anything. I sipped a bit of my Mexican martini while my sister ordered and noticed that it was weak, with an overwhelming taste of sweet and sour mix, and perhaps a hint of alcohol. We decided to share an appetizer and it arrived shortly afterward. When our plate arrived (even though we still weren't sure who our actual server was) we requested chips and salsa from Eddie, since it had yet to be offered by either server. The c & s came, and we decided on a second round of drinks. They were just as weak as the first, and when they arrived we finally got plates for our shared appetizer. Been going to Chuy's for 20+ years, love the food.... But during the pandemic, we have only done online with curbside pickup. First time not so bad experience. Second time I arrived a few minutes early and checked in. Then waited 25 minutes and finally went in to complain. 10 minutes later got the food. Fast forward three months, surely they improved their processes....Not... Ordered food for 6PM pickup. Arrived and checked in at 5:58PM. Got a text back saying kitchen was running 20-30 minutes behind... okay, it was a rainy miserable night, already paid for it so I just waited. 40 minutes later I sent them another text... no answer... finally got the order after 50 minutes wait. Got the food home 15 minutes later and it was cold... Not going back anytime soon ... good food does not make up for poor customer service. read more

Haven't been able to eat here yet which is disappointing. My mother and I tried to go yesterday and arrived right when they opened. Parking lot was nearly empty and there were empty tables everywhere. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait. There was absolutely no reason for that, so we left. While I have worked at a restaurant and get that things happen, that was poor planning and poor customer service. we ordered food online at 6:30pm. It said our order would be ready at 7:15pm. We went to the restaurant. Got there by 7pm. Texted we were there. We got a response back saying our order was in progress, and they would be out shortly. We texted again at 7:25pm asking for our order. They said their kitchen was running behind but would be right out. We texted again at 7:45pm, asking where our order was and they said they were still working on it. So we left. Great food great atmosphere. Been Comin to Chuy's ever since I was a little kid and it has never let me down

So, obligatory three stars for being a solid establishment...that's just a given at Chuy's. And now on to the review. They simply did not build this location big enough. Yah, it looks like the allotments for space are pretty small in this complex but seriously, I've been here four times - have been seated outside twice, (after a ten minute wait) and have turned away 35-40 minute waits for first available. I know this is a new Chuy's but really, this shouldn't be happening. We're all used to Chuy's, we've all been here before, there's really nothing special about this location as compared to say, the north 183 location or the location down near Zilker. If this location already cannot handle the amount of people, it is only going to get worse when Whole Foods 365, as well as everything else opens up around it. I'm not sure that I'll elect to come back to this location - it has been frustrating so far. In addition, the two waiters that I had the times I did come in and eat, and sit outside were not fully trained yet, (after several weeks of being open). Service was slow - nice and courteous, but not up to par. Maybe I'll give this location a little time for the hype to die down, but I stand by my size judgement and I'll be wary of this location from here on out. read more

Love chuy's but yet again cedar park struggles to find decent waitstaff. The bartender is chipper, but isn't anticipating anyone's needs. I really wish they could find some real solid hustlers to sling drinks and food in this town. Always a letdown. Plus three stars for being chuys alone. Minus two due to weak staff. The worst place I've ever been to. The server Krista with red hair was extremely rude. Our queso was cold and even though she wasn't our server I just let her know politely. She rolled her eyes and then said I'm not your server. Then she walked away and turned back at us said it's because the guac was in there. I've had chuys queso before with guac and it was very hot. I work in food and that is very unprofessional and that's not how you speak to customers. I will not be coming back and telling my friends not to go here. read more

This was my first time getting Chuys curbside, I was having friends over and ordered the fajita family meal with extra queso and creamy jalapeño sauce with a margarita kit. My husband said he was the only car in the parking lot when he picked it up and the gentleman that delivered the food to the car reassured him that the creamy jalapeño sauce was in the bag. Unfortunately, when he got home and we unpacked everything we were missing salsa and creamy jalapeño sauce all together. Most of the order was there but I was really disappointed and to top it all off the mixed meat was cold and dry and some of the steak raw or very "rare". Not sure I'd order from here again but I will say that the margarita kit was nice and I really enjoy the margarita mix they use, but not enough to purchase again for the price. read more

It makes me sad how much this location has declined. It is always busy and it seems like they no longer care about service or ambience since they constantly have a line out the door. We just came to chuys for our anniversary dinner and it was awesome! Our waiter was really on top of it, she refilled our drinks and chips without asking or waiting until we called her over. She made sure to see if we needed other drinks, appetizers, and even dessert, always checking on us even if it was just a thumbs up around the corner. The Cedar Park Chuy's is so bad in every way. The service is slow, the kitchen is slow, the dining areas are uncomfortable due to the wompy chairs and lack of space. There's not an easy flow. Wait staff constantly edging around your table - ugh. To top it off, the food tasted bleh! read more

Last time (3/11/19) every. single. item. on our order had something wrong (wrong side, smothered in sauce I asked to hold, changa not fried at all, missing extra chili we paid for). The wait wasn't horrible like at other Chuy's where we generally had to wait an hour or more to get a table so that is a HUGE plus! The service here was great compared to other Chuy's and I am assuming it is because of less customers?? But our service was on point which made this experience even better!! Definitely will be coming back until they get super busy then it will have to be timed correctly for no wait. I ordered takeout from Chuy's cedar park and though I ordered 4 entrees I was charged an extra $4.24 for 2 4oz cups of creamy jalapeño (that were each only half full). I was surprised and asked why extra charge, it should come as part of 4 entrees ordered? But I was told they charge for it on to go orders. I have been a regular at the round rock Chuy's for 18 years and they always give free chips and creamy jalapeño and Fresca with every takeout order. While this location has been up and running for only a few months they still have lots of work to do. The staff is pretty young so it shows they are still learning. If you want to eat don't even think of going to the bar area. You can only get appetizers at the high-top tables and if you want to order from the menu you must dine outside or at the bar. The bartenders are all very friendly, they take care of everyone. Management is aware of the minor issues they are having as they grow and if you let them know they work immediately to correct things. The place is always busy. Doesn't matter the day or time. If you want fresh and hot food, I suggest getting there when they first open. They haven't gotten the hang of how to handle the busy periods. read more

Queso tasted like cheese flavored mushroom soup, leathery enchiladas with Tex-mex sauce had to be from yesterday and the famous enchilada melty cheese topping was practically a no show.
