There is not a lot of waiting space for when the line is long - and it will be long on weekend evenings. It's wonderful that Chu's set up curbside and allows us to pick a time for curbside pick up. Unfortunately tonight was a multi level fail. We ordered at 5pm for pick up at 630. I arrive at 620 and wait. At 645 I ask for additional help and am told they are behind. At 7 my food is delivered. COLD, and missing multiple items. No salsa, no creamy jalapeño, no queso, no Pico. Well let's just start with the fact that it's 11:30am half the restaurant is empty, the patio completely empty and the bar area is drinks and apps only, servers are standing around chatting and drinking coffee. Yet somehow it's still at 30 minute wait? The excuse is they don't want to overwhelm the kitchen. This place in new and has had people out the door since the first day. They know what to expect, they should staff appropriately. Especially given it's a Sunday and tons of people go to lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with food. We both had the "As big as your face burrito" one ground beef other fajita steak. Good size and pretty darn tasty. So if I could rate properly: 1/5 on initial impression, wait time and service. 4/5 on food taste 3/5 on food wait time. I don't think we'll be back to this location after their botched online checkin and poor service. My wife and I decided to go to Chuy's for dinner, and before we left, we checked in online since it was a 30 minute wait. We got there about 5 minutes before our table would be ready, went in, and checked in with the hostess. She told me wife we were all set, and my wife then confirmed with her that there wasn't anything else that we needed to do. She said no, slightly turned her screen to show us where we were on the list and told us it was all set. Well, after standing outside for 10 minutes with no text confirmation and hearing several tables get called, we went back in to double check. There was a new hostess at the counter, and when we asked about our status, she rudely told us that "you need to check in once you get here." We quickly told her that we had already done so 10 minutes ago, and she asked if it was with her or with someone else - to which we told her it was with someone else. Her response: "oh no I'm the only one here who knows how to do the online check-in, the system is still new and I'm the only person who does it. But you should be at the top of the list now." So back outside we went to wait another 10 minutes until we were finally called. Once we were sat our waitress was extremely rude and unhelpful the entire night, and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. As we were getting ready to leave we asked for a box and a side of their jalapeño ranch to-go (as we usually do without any problems whenever we go to Chuy's), and she asked us about multiple sizes. My wife responded that she just wanted the small size. When she came back, she brought the check and a small tub of the sauce that they wanted $4.00 for. We told her no that we didn't want that much of it, and especially not for $4.00, and she told us that she personally had stopped bringing the small side sizes because all of her customers complain that "it's not enough." It seemed more like some gimmick for a larger bill. She eventually brought us the small container, half filled. This was overall a very disappointing experience for Chuy's, so we'll stick to the location on 183 in the future. read more

We went for lunch at 2:30pm on Sunday. We were surprised at how busy it was at that time. We were quoted a 15-20min wait but only waited about 3min. Our waitress was quick to bring chips, salsa and creamy jalapeño. This is the first time we were given creamy jalapeño sauce without having to ask for it. We've been to two other locations and always have to ask for it. Even though the restaurant was busy with a St Jude's fundraiser (which is great for a restaurant to do) we still got our drinks and food very quickly. Placed a to go order. Very easy to do, my order was brought to my car within a few minutes of my arriving. Smelled sooooo yummy. That's where it ends. I ordered cheese enchiladas with tex-mex sauce....the same thing I order every time I eat at Chuy's. Enchiladas should be rolled and what I was given was two tortillas with cheese folded in half and drowned in sauce. There was enough sauce for about 5 plates. Too bad they didn't put some in the bottom of the to go container before they heated them up because the bottom of the tortillas were dry and stuck to the bottom. The mass quantity of sauce left whatever you call these things so soggy (except for the stuck bottoms) that you could hardly eat them because all they would do was fall apart. I finally managed to get enough on a fork to get a bite and when I did I thought I was going to die. There was so much red pepper in the sauce that I threw up in the to go container and then proceeded to be sick all night. This sauce is supposed to be medium in heat but wasn't even close. The only good thing about Chuy's is their jalapeño ranch dip and I can make that at home now. We ordered take out last night. Chips, salsa, queso, flour tortillas, and a steak quesadilla. My husband picked it up and he paid $65 which included a tip. He gets the food home, and the chips are greasy, raw and not crunchy. The quesadilla had no cheese and was put in the bag upside down. We called the restaurant to complain, and were told a manager would call us back. We are still waiting! So we were excited to finally eat at this location that's close to us. Our waitress cane over fairly quickly and got our drink order. I got a frozen margarita and I wasn't disappointed. It was as delicious. My husband got a beer. They only have bottled beer but that's ok. If that's all ya got. We ordered nachos for an appetizer. Well they were good but the cheese was melted too much was kinda hard, and took forever to get them. We ordered chicken fajitas, steak burrito and chicken enchiladas. The chicken on the fajitas was pretty good but the onions were not very good. They had no taste. My husbands steak burrito was ok and my chicken enchiladas were just ok. The sauce was good but the tortilla and chicken itself was cold and had no flavor. We have had a lot better experience at the other locations. I hope they work the kinks out. This place seems to always be super busy, even when we just drive by it. We've tried to eat here several times only to be dissuaded by a long wait time. Finally we came and only had a 10 minute wait, so we were excited. We've eaten at multiple Chuy's around town, and have always had a great or a least a very good experience. This experience can best be described as OK. The food just didn't taste as good as the other times we've eaten at other locations. The chicken fajitas were good, but the onions had no grilled look or flavor and seemed to be steamed and just sitting there limp and flavorless. The enchilada had a tortilla that didn't taste fresh and the filling was lacking any spice. On the plus side, the boom boom sauce is still as good as advertised and highly recommended. The server was good, but slow. We'll keep going to Chuy's, but we may go to another location. Hopefully this one will get the kinks worked out, because the people clearly want it to succeed. read more
