    Chips and salsa

Location Just off 183, Cedar Park Parking Large open lot Atmosphere Mexican cantina family restaurant Seating Inside, outside patio-great for groups Service Outstanding-immediate water, chips replenished with huge scoop frequently. Menu Appetizers, complimentary chips and salsa/white jalapeño sauce, tacos, soup, burritos, enchiladas, salads, quesadillas, main dishes. We had the quesadilla with chicken-served with a generous dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of guacamole, small lettuce pieces, diced tomatoes. It was more like 4 tacos than a quesadilla but excellent-loaded with chicken and cheese. The soup was chock full of chicken and veggies. The enchilada platter was a big serving with rice and beans. Summary Dependable local Mexican restaurant chain-great food, outstanding service, good location. Love this place!!

Got the Kings Memorial Combo and it was really good. The enchiladas had great sauce but honestly the beans and rice were my favorite part. The creamy jalapeno ranch with the chips was the star of the show and something we do not have in California. The queso was also solid and worked perfectly with the dips. Chips were a little on the chewy side but the dips made up for it. Sweet tea was fresh and spot on. Service is always quick and the staff is super sweet every time. The place has a fun vibe with quirky and colorful decor that makes it feel lively and welcoming. Portions are generous and the plates come out looking just as good as they taste. I can see why this is a Texas favorite. Overall, not a bad experience or vibe to the restaurant and definitely more of a chain and fast food sit down restaurant! Some good food overall!

I'm increasing my review to 5 stars due to the service in the bar area. My last few visits I've eaten in there and the service has been really good. I've dined at both busy and slow times, lunch and dinner. My servers have been on top of things, even when they have been overwhelmed. Each server stayed on top on of my drinks--a margarita never went totally dry before another one was offered! The grilled chicken in my tacos and quesadillas is still solid and tasty; the jalapeno ranch is top notch. And you can't beat Tito's Lemonade!

You can join the waitlist in advance of arrival so you don't have to wait as long - which is a nifty feature if you know about it in advance. They have fun frozen drinks and the standard variety of Tex Mex offerings. Prices seem a little steep for a chain restaurant but the food is decent.

Kids mini tacos and rice. There should be 3 but one was already eaten!

Now I remember why I stopped supporting this place prior to Covid. Terrible bartender Bri, just awful. I've worked in this business a long enough time to know you don't go complain about a customer in front of them to the other bartender because YOU GOT MY ORDER WRONG. Corn tortillas in every restaurant I've ever been to means hard shell, not soft corn, which in reality was a flour tortilla I was given. If you needed to know what kind of corn tortillas I wanted because there was a choice she should have asked. Not only that, she didn't give me napkins or silverware with my appetizer. The queso here I'm not a fan of but her smug attitude like she's somebody" is hilarious.

I love Chuy's! Have for a long time but COVID killed my favorite entree. Elvis fried chicken. I was over the moon to see that this glorious item is back!!! Amy was an amazing waitress and the food came out fast. This place might be a franchise but it is still an amazing place for Tex Mex. Atmosphere is fun and the energy adds something hard to explain but I definitely needed it and I'm glad I went!

    Tex-Mex Burrito Bowl

We've been coming to Chuy's for years, and it never stops hitting the spot! That being said, I was excited to see a new menu item that was a true winner. We ordered the Tex-Mex Burrito bowl. The bowl was MASSIVE! It comes with a lifetime supply of rice and other toppings including chopped up fajita beef. If you end up ordering this for yourself, my hint would be to split the bowl in two, but eat all the meet in the first sitting. Bring home the rest and just add meat to make a perfect second dish. The rest of the meal was as typical Chuy's as you can get. Chips with the jalepaneo ranch, two margaritas, and some ground beef tacos which were all perfect. We left quite satisfied. When you come to Chuy's, you know what to expect. Quality Tex Mex that is consistent and affordable.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We took our time eating out appetizer and drink and never felt rushed. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, making it a great place for both casual meals and special occasions. The highlight of the evening was the Grilled salmon in a creamy passion fruit sauce, topped with grilled jumbo shrimp. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Service was prompt, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality provided. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. I wish I had a photo of my poor taco, but I totally forgot to take a picture :/

You can see exactly how unbelievably oily it was in image.png. - Combo Fajitas: We went with the chicken and beef fajitas, and the beef was a genuinely terrible cut. - Guacamole: This was the biggest heartbreak. We are huge fans of fresh guac, but what we got was borderline spoiled and not fresh at all. You can take a look at image_2.png to see the sad state of it. Serving old guacamole at a Mexican restaurant is just bad vibes. - The Service: Our waiter completely ghosted us. He visited our table exactly twice: once to take the order and once to drop the plates. We sat there waiting to give some constructive feedback on the tragic guacamole, but he never returned. We received zero water refills and no extra chips. Meanwhile, the table right next to us won the server lottery. Their younger waiter was incredibly attentive, bringing them unprompted soda refills twice and keeping their chips fully stocked. We literally had to flag down their awesome waiter just to ask for our check so we could finally leave. - The Verdict: This was our first time here and it will absolutely be our last. The food missed the mark entirely, and the service was just awful. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects the guac.

First, the menu needs a rewrite for content and clarity. For example, buying fajitas doesn't list guacamole and based on size, single, for two and family you get more sides of rice or beans. There's no definition of how much actual meat you get and our server couldn't provide that information beyond a rough estimate. Second, the fajitas we got of family size and for two portions for 7 were not consistently cooked. We asked for medium rare and got about 25% at that with the ones in the center at a more well done. Again, the multiple tiny sides were more obnoxious than anything as it's legit beans and rice unless you want to upcharge. The cilantro lime rice tastes like nothing so skip that and go for abuelita rice which has a hint of flavor. Overall, the butter/gravy that go on the fajitas is the real winner but again a menu where you overbuy and misunderstand (that doesn't even list extras like guacamole or a simple small queso) was beyond frustrating. I would stick to them for one to possibly get a better cook.
