I've visited the location along Beltway 8 off Fairmont several times. All dishes I've had were exceptional for a chain Tex-Mex restaurant. Will return again and again! Raw chicken fajitas! Visited last Sunday for a pickup order and the restaurant was not super crowded. The to go pickup was still slow and I waited about ten minutes past our estimated pickup time. When we opened our food we saw the chicken fajitas were still completely uncooked on one side. We literally had to take out a pan and finish cooking it. That's a pretty bad mistake to make, someone could get very sick. Just wanted to warn everyone. I sent corporate an email, they didn't even bother to respond. This is one of my favorite Tex-Mex Restaurants anywhere. And I'm pretty picky when it comes to Tex-Mex. I've been here a zillion times and I have pretty much always received fast and professional service. Very few times have I had to wait for a table. But when we do they have a bar area with complementary chips and salsa out the back of a car. Seriously. It's a car trunk sticking out of the wall. Great idea!!! Love it! The atmosphere here is awesome! It's an amusement park for your eyes with each room having a different theme and items decorating almost every square feet of space on even the ceilings. The best thing on the menu is their Chuychanga. It's their version of the chimichanga but it's a billion times better in my opinion. My tip: Get queso as the topping. You're welcome. Of course every review of this place had better mention the most amazing thing about Chuy's.... the creamy jalapeño sauce!!!! It's so good they should have named this place Creamy J's instead of Chuy's. Seriously, if you don't love it, there's something wrong with your tongue. And secondly, if you read a review that doesn't mention it... don't trust that review. That person has no idea what they are talking about. They have some of the coolest shirts for sale as well. I'm a T-shirt designer so I'm pretty picky when it comes to shirt designs. Sweet Tea Rating: 8/10 Their sweet tea is good. I didn't call my mom about it but it still is worth getting. It could use a little more sweetness in my opinion. And I'm pretty much a sweet tea connoisseur in my own mind. So you can trust me. read more

Been ordering through this location a few times and dined in a few after the pandemic started. Initially we noticed a limited menu- which we were fine with and kept supporting our local restaurant. However in the last few visits the quality has really slipped. A veggie enchiladas is now just some onions and cheese, the sauces have no flavor. The soda has no flavor- just mildly sweet carbonated water- even after sending it back. On the plus side- the service is still good. Chips salsa still good. Today I had a hankering for chuys. This is by far one of my favorite tex-mex spots. I've been tonseveral, but it was my 1st time at this location. I arrived alone, and was kindly greeted. I did wait long at all maybe 2-3 minutes and I was seated. Shortly after, the hostess brought my guest to the table and we were able to place orders. We both wanted house margaritas and cheese enchiladas the drinks were very good and the food even better. All was so good. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. The waiter was a kind guy and checked on us frequently. The restaurant and restroom were clean and fully stocked. I will definitely return. read more

Great service, great food, great prices. At 6:25 p.m. on a Friday there was a 30 minute wait. It is quite loud, but the waitress made a point to speak clearly and close. She kindly made menu suggestions and promptly refilled the salsa and chips. I had a cheese enchilada and my husband had tacos al carbon. Other personnel came by just to make sure everything was fine. The coffee is better then Starbuck for sure. I love the strawberry croissant. All the pastry I look so good. I'll definitely come back at lunchtime for the sandwich. This place is kids friendly. Best texmex in town. However I was super upset when I got home with my togo food. I asked for an extra side of deluxe tomatillo sauce (sometimes when you take it togo the sauce dries up a little bit) and they gave me one little thing of sauce on side and didn't bother to put any sauce on the actual burrito.... Pretty bummed, but at-least I have the creamy jalapeño and chips. read more

Tried this location when I usually go to the Katy location. The service wasn't great at all. Our waitress would take 1 part of our order at a time and then run off to fulfill that small segment of the order. The food wasn't up to par with other locations. My guac was chunky, my friends salad had maybe 5 pieces of chicken on it. Won't be coming back to this location anytime soon, if at all. read more

Where to begin? Fajitas for two should come with tortillas, shouldn't they? I mean they do at every other Mexican restaurant between here and Italy. That's not a joke either, even the fajitas I had in Florence came with tortillas. But Chuy's didn't seem to think they could spare a few for $40 worth of fajitas. Speaking of, if you're going to charge at the level of pappasitos for your fajitas, you might want to try to get close to their quality. Hint:that means not dry and tough. And it's fajitas for two....not one-and-a-third. We also made a request for no lettuce, not even in the garnish. But yep they did, and it actually looks like they must have made a joke about it because there's extra lettuce everywhere. There was no regular salsa sent, and the order of queso was a little bitty container. When you order it in the restaurant there's much more. So we just wasted a lot of money. Could have hit-up Taco Cabana and been better off. Pretty embarrassing for these guys. read more

I will drive the extra 15 minutes to visit the chuys on Westheimer. I get this place is new-ish but today was the absolute worst experience we've had. The restaurant was pretty dead yet we waited over 10 minutes to get our drinks. I had to ask for them to another waiter then our waiter finally came out saying he was stocking in the back. Well that's great but what about your customers? We get our food and I need a refill on my drink. Waiter nowhere to be found. I had to get up with my glass in hand looking for the pitcher of tea. When he does make it back to our table I get a to go cup full of tea and asks if we need boxes while I'm still clearly eating. Worst service ever. read more

So yesterday some friends and I from church went to Chuy's on Bunkerhill. One of us called 40 minutes before we got there to say there would be 10 of us coming. We get there and they say it's gunna be a 15/20 minute wait. We said okay. Multiple of us go and ask how much longer. Each person keeps saying oh they're just cleaning off one more of your table. They were so fixated on putting us at one section. They were "cleaning off the table" for more than enough time to clean our table. After almost an hour of waiting we see some tables in the bar and just go put them together. I go and ask the bar tender if someone can just come clean off one tables for us and she replies very snippy and rudely saying "we're really busy in here so you'll need to wait". It put me off so badly so we just cleaned it off ourselves and finally a bus person came to take it away. Our waitress was okay she went to 2 other tables before coming to us. I was over it at this point but was starving. We had 3 people have to leave because they had other things to do later in the day. We didn't get done eating until almost 3. She seemed bothered when u asked for anything other than what she was putting on the table. The food was okay. Wasn't great. Had jalapeños on it when I asked for none too. I won't be coming back to this location. I'll give others a chance but not this one. They've been open long enough now to get into a groove. I'm all for tipping really well but this was the first time in a while no tip was given. If your on a time crunch don't go here. I won't be back. read more

First with the positives the Taco salad was very filling and taste great. Not for sure of the progression of waitstaff but if the waiter is fairly new you pair with an experience waiter especially for table of 8 patrons. Anywho arrived with coworkers the young lady who attended us was very new and seemed uncomfortable. She had aide but it was beyond repair at this point. The manager rudely intervened she approached everyone in front of everyone about the gift card I was using. Instead of bringing me to the side she wanted to make a scene no harm there but not reprimanding her employee in front of us. That was unacceptable. Spot on service and food delivery. For the longest the Westheimer location has frustrated me both on delivery and parking. Super excited about having another location fairy equidistant to now visit. The service was quick at the bar although it seemed like a fair amount of wait for a standard table. It was a quick lunch that I had stopped in for so can't comment on drinks but the food came out pretty quick even with the kitchen being super busy. The service at the bar was spectacular and fast look forward to having a few margaritas the next time around. The outside seating was a fair bit smaller than some locations but the interior has a fair bit of seating. Great addition to the area and although I saw the comment on management, I didn't have any issues with my visit. Hopefully stays well run going forward. read more

Good food & slightly strong drinks. This location was busy with families. Bar was a bit small but very packed with professionals for happy hour. Growing pains? Early stumbles? We were happy to have a Chuy's location launch in our area. Unfortunately, service was super slow and kitchen took more than 40 minutes for a relatively simple order for 2 adults and 2 kids. We ended up asking the sever to bring the kids food out first and get our adult entrees to go. Sadly, despite the time they had to prepare, they neglected to include some food items (chalupa) for one of us and got the order wrong for another one (chicken and beef taco combo was packed to only include beef). They were nice to comp part of our order which was nice but we would have preferred a level of service and kitchen prep time consistent with our experience at other Chuy's locations. We won't be heading back to this location and will opt for the Westchase location instead-- at least for a few months before we make another attempt. read more
