My second visit to a Chuys, the first time we went to Franklin. We were meeting friends for dinner on a Friday night... and this place was PACKED! A good mix of people, young families with young kids, young couples, professionals, and adults (drinking heavily and enjoying themselves!!!) We start out at the bar and had a couple drinks as their happy hour ends at 7pm ($4 margaritas and $2.50 domestics), I think they had some food on happy hour as well, not sure what. They were generous with the nachos, salsa and creamy jalapeno dip. We were told the wait would be approx 35 minutes, but were promptly seated within about 20 minutes. Once our other couple arrived we had a few more drinks, chips and salsa and eventually ordered some food. The wife and I get burrito's (advertised as big as your head) and our friends got a chicken boom boom or something of the like and a set of fajitas. All the food was good, the wife didn't care for her ranchero sauce as it just wasn't what she thought it would be... but that is our own fault. Overall the service was pretty good, decently speedy and the atmosphere was good, but not as good as the Chuys in Franklin. We will be back eventually.... read more

Well, if you want to sit and listen to Elvis music , this is the place for you. Thank god the rice and beans were edible. The chips were also, but the salsa was extremely hot and the "ranch" dip saved the day. I love Mexican food, I like mediocre Mexican food , this was terrible Mexican food. I ordered the "comida delux", my daughter the steak burrito, both were inferior to a microwave dinner. I also had a small, overpriced $8 margarita . When we walked in and saw the palm trees on the wall and heard the strange music we should have walked before being seated. The bathrooms were disgusting also. Taco Bell puts this place to shame and I would have saved the $50. Pass on this place and count it as a win read more

Although food is good, service and attitude of Togo guy was atrocious. We placed a curbside order when we got to the restaurant and we text the number and waited for approximately 25 minutes nobody came out we went in and the guy said in a snotty attitude " did you text or number to let us know you were here". When we told him we had he said well he was very busy and just didn't have time to check it all he would like. immediately came back with our order when we looked at the order it was cold Like it had been sitting on the counter for 30 minutes. When we pointed out the food was cold he said"well he could send it back to the kitchen and have it heated up again" with a snotty attitude. Told our wait would be 25 minutes. Waited 30 minutes and then when asked about our wait time, was informed that people had called ahead and jumped ahead of us in line even though they called after we had already checked in, meaning we would have to wait ANOTHER 30-40 minutes. Host was flippant, compared it to "fast pass at Disney" like it was our fault we didn't know. Others not in our party were upset as well and the host just handed them a brochure as if it was supposed to take the place of good customer service. I have had many good experiences at this Chuy's, but this has caused me to second guess any future visits. They could have let us know at check in that our wait time would be so variable, but we were not forewarned nor treated with respect. read more

Chuy's is one of my favorite chain restaurants in the boro. The atmosphere is lively, the portions are substantial, food is good, and its affordable. The creamy jalapeno is a must have. Its free and you just need to request it when you are seated. I found the recipe online and made it at home, its addicting and full of calories so beware! My favorite item on the menu is the "Big As Yo Face Burrito". They are quite big and delicious. The oven roasted chicken is my go to menu option. If you like a little spice substitute the regular rice for green chili rice, its the best! The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo is the biggest item on the menu and comes with an assortment of items, and for only like $11 its still cheap. You will need a to go box! I especially like to go Mon-Fri because they have a free nacho car (yes a car) from 4-7pm that has queso, beef, beans and salsa in it and its free as long as you purchase a drink. read more

Heading for a night out for dinner and then a play in Woodbury. We haven't been to Chuy's in a while so decided on there. Nothing like refried beans and a crowded theater. I found that if you waited until people started clapping you could relieve the pressure with no one the wiser. The people around us must not have liked their seats because they all moved elsewhere. Friday evening and the parking lot was FULL. We will never get finished in time to make the curtain call. Amazingly we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Monday thru Friday from 4-7 is happy hour. This includes their nacho bar that has chips, seasoned beef, melted cheese dip, refried beans and salsa - all you can eat plus lower drink prices. After partaking of this - when it came time to order the four of us split two entrees and walked away stuffed. Entire bill included 3 margaritas, 1 beer and a soft drink was $43. I think if you bring a picture of a dog in a frame to hang on the wall you get a free appetizer as well. Their "Big as your face" burritos are just that - huge. They have a variety of sauces to choose from at different heat levels. All tortillas are made on site for you to watch. Chips are thinner and lighter than most Mexican fare. The jalapeno ranch dip is pretty amazing - you have to ask for it. I have had the grilled shrimp soft tacos - meh. We also get the beef queso that comes with pico and guacamole, RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. We came here on Mother's Day, can you believe it? I don't recommend going out to eat anywhere on Mother's Day! However, we were pleasantly surprised by the swiftness with which we were seated. The food was delicious even though it wasn't all that fast. We really loved the fajita steak seared on the wood fire. The jalapeño dip is something to write home about too! It's always refreshing to see something new on a menu, especially when all the Tex-Mex places offer the same fare. I came in this afternoon and was delighted to find just that. There are a variety of sauces on the menu to start, I stuck with the creamy jalapeño. Delicious. I then saw a stuffed avocado on the menu! Chicken and cheese stuffed into an avocado and deep fried. Once again, delicious...even the beans and rice were special. Most places give you bland, standard tasting gunk but not here. Full of chiles and spices. I then finished this off with another that I never find on Tex-Mex menus surprisingly - tres leches! Delicious x3!! Had a party of nine having my 3 year old grandsons birthday. Had server 234/Gwyneth and she was excellent. Kept the chips, dips, and drinks full. Everyone loved what they got and she even brought out fresh napkins. plates and forks for everyone. Best service that I have had in a long time. read more

I've been to one other Chuy's in Orlando, FL and this is by far the best experience I've ever had! The service John was very attentive and had great recommendations on the menu. Chuys - Broad Street., Murfreesboro, TN. The environment, ambiance and customer service was surprisingly beautiful. There was a noticeable ease of everyone in the building, maybe it was accredited to the decor. The smiling faces, colorful art and interesting hangings made us forget waiting. (Arrived at 3:20pm, seated at 3:42pm, we changed our seating to sit at a bar table. The one table remaining needed to be cleaned which they promptly did without hesitation.) The GM, Sam Duncan came to our table to apologize about the non-working TV. That attention gave way to an unexplainable feel-good. The lost art of superior customer service has been found and what a privilege to be priority as a customer. Getting comfortable in our seats, we overheard one of the bar attendees Arron, tell patrons next to us her name and the next time she's working to establish a longer lasting report. Wow! Food came to the table at 4:04pm. Arron subtlety asked if everything was good 4 times during the course of our meal. Even though, we arrived and ordered in the middle of a shift change, there was never a hiccup in service. We still got our food on time with a smile... it was out standing service. The vibe was tantalizing, almost made you wish to be apart of the team. Complimentary music was just the right volume and just the right genre mix to peas a diverse crowd. People were singing along to songs and wiggling in their seats. I will visit again and have no problem tipping this kind of service. Well Done read more

This place has been packed since it opened a few weeks ago. I sure hope its packed out of sheer curiosity for a new restaurant, because if its for the food, my fell Boro folks don't know decent Mexican food at all. I got a very sizable portion with my Elvis Presley Combo, but bland bland bland. The refried beans were the best part of the meal. The beef taco had NO taste, runny, fatty beef that wasn't even seasoned. Taco Bell puts this place to shame. Sorry, but there a much better place in the Boro for Mexican food. The didn't even offer margaritas on the rocks, I mean a genuine MX restaurant that doesn't do that?! UPDATE Folks have pointed out my ignorance about Chuy's, its TEX-MEX NOT MEXICAN el' stupido. Chuy's was great before COVID, but when we went Saturday night, it was just gross. The chips were chewy and oil-soaked instead of being crispy. The salsa was mostly tomatoes and didn't have the flavor it used to. We had to ask for knives to be able to cut our food to eat it, but when they were brought to our table, they were dirty. The Hatch Green Chile sauce tasted more like chicken broth than anything else, and the skins from the chilies had not been removed. The burritos used to come with rice and refried beans. Now, it's only rice, and the rice is flavorless. The wait staff and the host staff were all friendly, but that was the only decent part of the night. We frequent this Chuy's and usually enjoy the food and the service ... but not today. Terrible server that we barely saw. Refills on chips and drinks were nonexistent. We had to ask for napkins and the refills we needed. We order the same thing every time, but today's was especially spicy, too spicy. We told our server that we were not able to eat the food and she basically told us that would mean she wouldn't need to bring us a to go box. We also usually see a manager making the rounds and tell them how great everything was, but we never saw a manager. Too bad. We usually love this place. read more
