When all restaurants are closed because of Covid 19, why is Chuy's still charging a 6% carry out fee? When other restaurants are doing whatever they can to get business, why is Chuy's charging 6% extra just for eating there? There are hundreds of other restaurants that will be happy to have your business and not charge you extra just eating Worst restaurant ever. I went to the restaurant to order carry out and was told I could only place the order by phone or internet. I told the hostess I did have a phone. She once again said I had to call or use the internet. I told her I could not do that because I did not have a phone. She once again said I had to call or use the internet. It was good and tasted more like a tangy ranch with a tiny taste of pepper. I did indulge and try a fresh squeezed margarita and it was awesome! Chuy's is a tex mex restaurant and in my opinion the best of its kind!!! I love the creative decor it definitely is unique. Got in right away and quickly was greeted by a polite server who brought jalapeño ranch and salsa. I don't like pico so salsa didn't appeal to me but the jalapeño ranch was delicious as well as the queso we ordered. It was very different from any other queso I have tried and not comparable to another Mexican restaurant queso. I got the tacos al carbon. Oh my goodness!!! I don't know what made it so perfect. If it was the specially home made tortilla for the wonderfully marinated steak, but I loved it!! I would get it again if it wasn't so excited to try other menu items. Chuys is the best Tex Mex hands down! It's a little slice of home for a homesick Texan. Our favorites are many, and everything's good, but you can't go wrong with the Panchos and a couple of Grand Ma's Rockin' Rita's! Then maybe the Comida Deluxe or the Chuychanga. Overall very cute restaurant. Just so happens we came in in the 4pm-7pm time frame for FREE queso, ground beef, chips and salsa. This is only free Monday-Thursday! Nice little touch! Definitely different than your regular Mexican restaurant. But worth coming in the prices are similar to a other Mexican restaurants. Always good service! Light, fresh chips! My favorite meal is the steak burrito. Lot of food for not a lot of money! Their Salsa is always a little heavy on garlic - but I love the hatch sauce so I mix them together!! Their fresh flour shells are always so delicious. During COVID, the paper menu is a somewhat abbreviated version of their regular menu however that didn't bother me because I wanted fajitas. I ordered the beef fajitas for one and it came with rice and beans. I also had a Modelo beer. The rice and beans were brought together in a little bowl and they were not good. The bean mush was very salty. The fajitas were meh. They obviously didn't use skirt steak, maybe it was a flank steak. The chopped tomatoes were more white than red. I used to think there tortillas were pretty good but I guess I'm done with the ultra thin and doughy taste. Overall, a very mediocre meal. My son ordered the house margarita which was predictably subpar. And $10 to boot. I quit ordering margaritas out a long time ago. Never any good. read more

This is a great place to go with friends or family as it is always a lively atmosphere. It has a traditional interior with some interesting paintings throughout. They also have a wall of dog photos in their bar. The food is great and so are the drinks. I know it's pretty simple but our family loves the nachos with the creamy green Chile ranchero sauce. We ate there a few days ago. I ordered chicken fajita tacos. First the beans, rice and chicken were ice cold. The accompaniments were a small amount of melted cheese on lettuce with a small scoop of guacamole. The chicken strips looked as if they were thrown of the tortilla. No one came to check on the food. This is more of an upscale Mexican Restaurant and they bring out chips and salsa and som yummy other sauce... When this location first opened it was amazing. There was always a manager table touching. We have not seen a manager in years on the floor. The quality of the food has decreased over the years as well. We go because we love the Nachos and frozen drinks. We went for the last time this week. We had chicken fajitas and nachos with guac and sour cream added. The chips on the nachos were the same chips they serve to you with salsa. Not good with a ton of heavy refried beans and topping on them. I told the bartender and she said " well no one told me it changed". We picked the toppings off the broken chips. First time being here at the restaurant. Friend had a party and had carry-in in from them and it was really good. The chips and salsa are great! It was extremely busy when we were there so it took quite a while for us to get our food and normally they have a bar setup self-serve for chips and beans and meat and cheese. We were told we could help ourselves to the cheese which was empty, so we told the waitress and after we were there for a very long time they never did feel the cheese again. Chuy's is alright. Not my favorite mexican restaurant but it has a fun atmosphere. I got the shrimp tacos. The menu said "lightly battered and fried." Those suckers were not lightly battered. They were encased in a shell of fried batter. As I picked up the taco the tortilla just fell apart so it was extremely difficult to eat them. I'm 99% sure these were flour tortillas because they were dusted in flour so that added a weird texture as I was eating them. The rice and beans were gross. And I love rice and beans so I was bummed. But usually I know it's not going to be good if they use brown beans. I've found the more authentic places serve black beans. We also got the queso. It's pretty good but $6.99 for queso is just rude. It's not even white cheese! But it does taste good so I'll give them that. Chuy's is probably one of my more favorite options at Hamilton Town Center, but to be fair, HTC is full of chain restaurants that I try to avoid. My grandparents keep saying I'll never come visit them once it opens ( they live 2 miles from the Noblesville restaurant). I have enjoyed everything I have tried. I love the complimentary nacho car that is available Monday-Thursday 5-9 I think! My personal favorites are the Pancho Nachos and the Chuy Changa. We came across Chuy's randomly while shopping and decided to give the place a shot based on the Yelp reviews. My fellow Yelpers have this place nailed as now it's going to be a staple especially during the free nachos hours. This restaurant hails from Austin, Texas and really knows how to pump out some really good food and drinks. Take notice rivals, Chuy's is setting the bar high. The atmosphere is fun with a Tex-Mex diner feeling. Hubcaps from the ceiling, photos of customers' dogs in the bar, tortilla station, and the trunk of a car that houses the daily nacho bar. Bring in a photo of your dog in a frame and you get to choose where it will be hung and enjoy a complimentary appetizer. I gotta do this! Friendly bartender and a decent seating area with high top tables. No beer on draft here. It's all bottles. Not a bad thing in my opinion. Start off your dining experience with fresh chips, salsa that's made every hour on the hour to ensure freshness, and a complimentary jalapeno dip that is so universal that you could put it on anything. I just wish they sold the stuff. The place was packed with a wait, but we arrived before the crowd arrived. Service was prompt and friendly. Not overly chatty, which I appreciate. Pretty standard I'd say but I thought the bowl with garnishments was nice. I tried the jalapeno ranch dip and thought it was okay. I prefer more spice but I know many people don't. We had superb service from our waitress. The décor was cool. I was wanting to ask about the identities of the people in the pictures but they were so hopping busy that I thought I'd better wait until next visit. First I would like to say thank you to Chris F. on Yelp for letting me know of this place. WOW! Only 10 minutes from where I work, and I will let you know this will be a place I frequent often! The atmosphere is incredible. A lot of energy, service staff smiling, and the place is clean and very hospitable. I was greeted right at the front door and asked if I would like to sit in the bar since I didn't have anyone else with me. Sounded like a great idea, so I sat up at the bar. Christy was my server, and I must say, she is one of the most attentive servers I have ever seen! WOW! She was happy, energetic, knowledgeable about the menu, and very entertaining. The chips and salsa were served within 1 minute of me sitting down. The chips were warm, perfectly salted, and the salsa was so fresh and delicious! Christy then suggested I try their creamy jalapeno sauce with the chips. HOLY AWESOME SAUCE! I nearly did a happy dance in my seat upon tasting it! Yes, it is that great! I ordered my entree, a 12 inch ground sirloin burrito. HEAVEN in a tortilla! I had it served with the green hatch chili sauce, and let me tell you, it was THE BEST burrito I have ever had, Spicy, but not over the top. The sauce was smoky, and oh so amazing. I did not want to take the last bite for fear I would be depressed it was gone. It was served with tasty rice and guacamole. It was as close to perfection as you can get for lunch. Sadly, my experiences here have been fairly forgettable. After reading the glowing reviews and noting the always-packed parking lot I had great expectations for this place. I didn't write a review after my disappointing first visit, thinking I would try other menu items, on other visits, hoping that maybe I just happened to dine here on an off night. Unfortunately my other visits were disappointing as well. Darn. Because I really wanted to love this place. And I am puzzled because so many people do love it. Enchiladas: bland. Tacos: generic. Quesadilla: forgettable. I would have thought I had ordered from Taco Bell's dollar menu. The creamy jalapeño dip was my favorite thing, yet it was very mild. The decor was interesting and the atmosphere enjoyable. But the food is what really matters. I love Mexican food. Stopped in at Chuy's to try the new place in town. The parking lot was extremely full so I thought there would be a wait but we were promptly seated. The decor is a little odd. There is tile EVERYWHERE! I saw at least 5 different designs of tile in the room from where I was seated but it did kinda for the room. There were so metal Palm trees throughout the restaurant. I ordered the steak fajitas. While we were waiting, they served very fresh salsa and fresh thin chips. The dinner arrived a short time later and had a great presentation. The shredded cheese in the toppings bowl was fresh along with the other toppings. The flavor was very good and the price was right but it wasn't outstanding. Great addition to this part of town! We had a large party (14 and two babies) and they got us in within 40 minutes of arriving on a very busy night. They offer the chips and salsa while waiting which is nice. So the wait didn't seem as long. I got the combo 5 with the enchilada and a chalupa and it was delicious. One of my favorite sauces in a restaurant is at chuys! The jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce for the chips. And the chips - so fresh, and crispy. Big fan of chuys. I brought my parents here for Father's Day weekend & we absolutely loved the food & margaritas! My 11 month old loved the rice & beans and even enjoyed the seasoned ground beef from my soft tacos.
