I have been to Ciao Vino in the beginning of their opening period and decided to went back again this week. The fact that they have their happy hour all day from opening to closed pretty amazing. All wines and cocktails were on point. My favorite there was Limoncello spritz! (Less than $10) Some of star dishes that flavorful and delicious are : Beef carpacio, Seasonal farmer salad, Chicken Masala. Spoke with chef Nico and found out that soon they will offer steak which I can't hardly wait. Staffs are always friendly from the host, servers and bartender. I usually sat at the bar and chat with Mark, Jose or Felice sometimes bar can get so busy but definitely worth it! I decided to try a new Italian restaurant. The salad was good, and the meatballs were solid, but the spaghetti was extremely salty. We asked for it to be remade, and meanwhile the server kept topping off my Sprite with water--three times. When the new pasta finally came out, it still wasn't fully cooked. By then, I had already finished my protein, so I didn't even bother saying anything else. Overall, not a good experience. I won't be going back. read more

I usually don't write crazy extensive reviews but this one was memorable, and not quite in the best way ... I came on NYE to support my friend who was performing at the restaurant that night. 1. We were initially led to the back of the restaurant, when there was clearly a table open in the front. My friend made a reservation for us, so that's when I asked if we could be reseated so I can have better visibility to the performance. Unfortunately, the restaurant acoustics aren't quite accommodating for live vocals. 2. After we were seated, no one came by for a good 10 minutes. No water. No menu. Nothing. I got up, walked to the manager and informed him. He apologize sincerely and came over to pour our waters himself - that I really appreciated. 3. Bread service came by a little later, and that had decent flavor, I was especially intrigued by the use of whole cloves of garlic within the bread. I saw one of my fav Italian wines on the menu, the montepulciano, and wanted to order a glass. Only after I said it, the waitress informed me that they are out and suggested another. I asked her to describe the flavor profile, to which she said something along the effects of "it's another blend and it's one that was closest in price to the one you wanted " .. not impressed by that. I ordered the lobster tail as my entree, which was a special for the night, and was immediately disappointed when served by the portion size. It was the smallest lobster tail, no sides, for $35. The lemon butter sauce flavor was good though. Overall, I do see potential but only after the restaurant commits to some changes: 1. Service was below mid, but the manager's immediate action made up for some of it. 2. Food was subpar. Absolutely not worth the quantity/quality ratio. 3. Ambience was ok, I would suggest it as a happy hour place instead of a true sit down dinner. read more

I came here on New Year's Eve with my partner expecting an experience lining up with the hype of the event itself. It. Did. Not. Deliver. The service was slow. The servings sizes were lackluster. We waited 12 minutes to flag the manager down because nobody was coming to our table. We were not seated in a remote part of the restaurant. We ordered the mushroom risotto and lobster tail with lemon butter sauce off the special menu. There was nothing special about this menu because of the rodent-sized portions served. We had to eat somewhere else because of our lack of satisfaction with our appetites. I found out about this new gem's three hour long happy hour and had to taste for myself. First - what everyone what a to know: what are the hieeeee specials? $8 Specialty cocktails &11-14 pizzas $7 oysters (for 3) Lots of other appies $8 wines by the glass Now - the vibe: I am SO excited I found this place now because it has a beautiful indoor/patio and this time of year BEGS for a patio happy hour. How about the service? Our bartender, Jose, was AWESOME. He knew the menu well, made PERFECT cocktails, and was super attentive. And of course, the food: - Oysters: perfection! The mignonette is actually a jardiniere and was a great complement to the oysters. - pizza: a little underdone, BUT a friend went the next day and said it was perfect that time. I may order it extra crispy next time - wagyu pastrami tartare: the only miss, it was dressed too heavily and while the flavors were excellent, if they're going to have that heavy of a sauce/aioli (which...I don't recommend), they NEED to serve it with a super light and crispy vehicle to get the tartare into your mouth. The way it's served is interesting and unique (tiny croutons mixed in the dish), but it needs something lighter to balance it. I'm still giving this place 5 stars because of the total experience. Hopefully they'll update the tartare and crisp up the pizza. If so, I'll review again - trust me when I say that I will be back, if not a full-on regular. An absolute master class in culinary & hospitality experience. Started with the ponzu tuna crudo, very well done and balanced. This place nails it with variety & crazy modest prices! You know the character of a restaurant by the care they put into the menu priced that shows respect for their guests. They offer steak night (every night!) with entrees 50% off!! The filet was seared crisp outside, perfect med rare. The pasta's handmade that actually tastes like someone kneaded it with love, not a machine. Veal ossobuco is my favorite meal & this one is at the very top of a long list of past favorites. It melts off the bone, rich and slow-braised, with perfect acid in the tomato ragu. Was so satisfying!! Mac & cheese was way way too good! Best part was every dish hit the table so hot! I love food that is still steaming to the last bite. The picca chica cocktail was a perfect blend of spicy & sweet. Wine list is stupidly deep; you'll spot bottles you've never heard of, all poured by people who actually care if you like it. Lastly the crème brûlée was truly out of this world and so unique in taste and presentation. I'm quietly plotting my next reservation. Worth every bite. The wait staff was very welcoming and restaurant has high ceilings with romantic vibes and live band playing. Our waiter Alex gave us 3 different wine samples to make sure we picked the perfect ones for our pastas. My boyfriend and I ordered the antipasti board (charcuterie) as our appetizer. Tonarelli carbonara which had a unique cheese flavor that was sharp and creamy. When the dish came the first time it was a bit dry in texture. Alex was so kind she ordered us a new one with more sauce. We also had the lasagna which was my favorite dish! It was rich, flavorful and tomatoes tastes fresh. Alex surprised us with a complimentary Budino Italian custard dessert which was such a treat! It came in a wine glass and they poured chocolate sauce into it. I am giving this place a 4 for the value. For just food it's a 3. For me a 3 is average not bad. The prix fix menu is a STEAL. $35 a person. Each orders 1 of 4-5 appetizers, 4-5 mains and 3 desserts. Includes 2 4 ounce glasses of wine per person. All the portions on the Prix Fix were small. Not tiny, but not what you likely get off the main menu. I will say the main menu is small, so I'm not sure how often I could go here. We had the calamari (might the best I ever had), the steak tartare (perfectly serviceable but not special) and the farmers salad (decent for a salad). For dinner we had an incredibly lightly breaded chicken with a lemon white wine sauce with a side of passable pasta. We had the Spaghetti and Meatball (that's right 1 medium sized meatball). Meatball was good, but not amazing, but you only got 1. We also got a shrimp noodle dish. Very little shrimp, but it was the best take on buttered noodles ever. Butter, garlic, breadcrumbs.... The desserts were great. Tiramisu had heavy notes of bitter espresso offset by a strong hit of amaretto. The passion fruit panna cotta was perfect for pallet cleansing and then there was a Nutella, chocolate cream dessert they made up that was really indulgent. The free wine was really decent for being free. It's was supposedly a Chianti cut it was very light and sweet with no after bite. read more

I think with all the reviews I was expecting a more "wow" experience on the food. While the food is good, there wasn't any dish that would have me coming back. First off - service was great, very friendly and attentive. The Happy Hour has a nice assortment of options that allow you to try several things (some at smaller portions). The pizza we had was the spicy one. The server was really recommending it but it was just okay - because of the Italian meats on it and the chili oil for flavor, it's quite an oily pizza. The crust was good - had some crunch to it and the size was about 10". The meatballs were pretty good and I especially enjoyed the fried ricotta that accompanies it. It is served with 3 meatballs. The pasta, we tried two - Carbonara and Bucatini Red Sauce. For Happy Hour the portion is like a large twirl of pasta. It's a small portion, but then again it's on Happy Hour pricing so I think they are trying to balance pricing with portion. It would be nice though to get a tad more pasta for HH. The carbonara had a nice creamy flavor. The Bucatini red sauce was more ordinary. For dessert, they have house-made tiramisu. While the mascarpone was nice and fluffy/soft in texture, there wasn't as much of the traditional rum/espresso flavor in it. The taste was a little different than your traditional tiramisu. Overall, while HH had great pricing to allow us to try several items, the food was a solid "good". read more

I decided to do something different for Thanksgiving. I saw where Ciao Vino was having a prix fixe four course Thanksgiving menu. I made a reservation and when I got there, I was promptly seated. I was given the wine menu, their regular menu, and the special Thanksgiving menu. I already knew it was to be the Thanksgiving menu. I ordered an iced tea and was soon brought it. My server, Colleen, was very helpful and pleasant. The courses were--pumpkin and butternut squash soup, turkey tortellini in brodo, traditional turkey dinner, and a duo for dessert. I was brought the soup and the tortellini at the same time which is something I greatly dislike. If you have two courses, they should not be served together. The "soup" was more of a potage--very thick and about 1/4 inch in depth. It's the first soup I've ever had that I could have drawn a design on the top it was that thick. The tortellini in brodo was good. The brodo was very flavorful. It could have been hotter but then, I was eating my soup because it was brought at the same time as the tortellini. Next came the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It was a grand plate of mashed potato, white and dark turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, and asparagus. Everything was quite good. There was a small container of gravy and one of cranberry sauce. It was a lot of food. For dessert, there was a duo--a warm cinnamon apple crumble à la mode and pumpkin pana cotta. I especially liked the cinnamon apple crumble even though I generally avoid warm desserts. The crumbles on top of the cake were very flavorful and made the dish. The pana cotta was also good. Colleen brought me a fresh iced tea during the meal and she was always on top of things. read more

For what it is, it's a solid leadup the upscale independent restaurant, execution is sufficient, and the food was serviceable. I thought Service was on point, and everyone is friendly. The restaurant was sadly very empty when we arrived in the evening of a Sunday, when I thought couples or others would be enjoying a meal. There was a prix fixe menu on offer the night I came by with family. I actually thought this was a great value, for only $35 you get three courses. Enjoyed it with my daughter and others. I think the space is very impressive, and the bar seems to be well built, but this isn't this is the niche for the chef, consider possibly downsizing to just focus on the food. However, for what it's worth I did enjoy the food tremendously. read more

I ordered a Spicy spritz on HH for 8 dollars and hub got a n/a Peroni for 5 dollars. We decided to split the margarita pizza and one order of meatballs. The pizza was honestly big enough for both of us..not being big eaters, but I am glad we tried the meatballs because they were really delicious. Pizza was great. Very thin, not too cheesy...I asked for red pepper flakes and they brought us a small container that was really cute... I will definitely comeback to this HH..it was very busy at the bar, but the restaurant started picking up after 5:30 pm. read more

Came here on a whim because we weren't feeling the other restaurant in the area. They have a 3 course menu with one glass of wine for about $80 for 2 people. I could tell the pasta was hand made since it was dense and had some flavor to it. The server helped with a wine selection to match our dinner options. I forgot what I got but all I know is I'm willing to go back. The chef even came out to talk to the customers to make sure everything was going well. Food was pretty decent and used quality ingredients but was slightly on the bland side. My friend and I got 2 cocktails, 2 pizzas, a HH salad, and a soft drink and the bill was only $55. The Summerlin BFF foodie suggested Ciao Vino for a catch up dinner with our travel buddies Our group alpha called in a reservation and we checked in early with no issues. We grabbed a quick martini at the bar in the back until our friends all arrived. (Filipino Time..lol) The open dining area is noisy (solo musician was great) with live music and tables filled with people in your vicinity. Not too noisy that you can't carry conversation, but it's definitely not quiet. The decor is contemporary and the showcased wine wall behind glass is cool to see. Hamachi Ceviche Beef Tartare Caesar Salad Asparagus Lasagna Vanilla Pana Cotta The beef Tartare was my favorite appetizer and my entree was the Lasagna. The Lasagna was generous in size and pretty good overall. Our server was checked on us frequently so the service was top notch. I would definitely visit again as I know this resto opened recently. Ciao Vino is an upscale Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar located in Boca Park in Summerlin. It's a beautiful opulent restaurant with crisp linen napkins and shiny hanging chandeliers. During the evening they have live music. The air conditioning was on full blast so you might need a sweater or coat. We started out by sharing the Rotolo pasta dish. It's like a pasta rolatini stuffed with taleggio cheese that sits over caramelized onions. We enjoyed it. My husband had the pork chop. He said it was the best pork chop ever and he said you almost never get a nice moist tender pork chop anywhere but this one was perfect. He also said that the peppers under it were very good. I tried the halibut. It was tender and melted in the mouth. It seemed like it might have been cooked in a sous vide. It was served with fancy orange cherry tomatoes that were reduced and were naturally very sweet. I was too full to try a dessert but I wanted to. Service was friendly and efficient. We came here for happy hour for the first time. The ambience is spectacular! Beautiful chandeliers, crisp white countertops, white table cloths and lovely Italian wall decor. You can tell a lot of love was put into the environment. We got two cocktails, which were beautifully presented with an edible flower, the meatballs, farm salad, margarita, pizza, and lemon crème brûlée. We started with the caviar and indulged it with a bottle of champagne and moved on to some homemade pasta ...duck ravioli , Cacio e Pepe and a charcuterie board ! Yes it's was all so delicious. The food was not bad, but sadly it was not good either. Servers were very nice and friendly. It's just that their pasta was so so to ok, the calamari at $26 for an appetizer was undercooked , the only fish I could recommend that I've tried was the chicken Marsala, that one was good. Please note, happy hour prices only apply if you sit in the bar area or high tables. My boyfriend and I ordered the fungi pizza, $7 oysters, seasonal salad, and spaghetti plate (dinner). Wow, so lovely and decently priced!!! The service was impeccable. The interior was bright and pleasant. We rarely go to Italian places, but this place will definitely be a go-to!! read more

Conversation was impossible due to the extremely LOUD guitarist in the bar area. The noise wafted throughout the restaurant and our waiter even had trouble hearing our orders! We literally had to yell to be heard. The only saving grace was when the guitarist took a break! Thank God! Why do restaurnnteers think guests want to dine in a loud nightclub atmosphere? The interior seating is nice, but it is very loud when not even fully packed. The staff were friendly but there was a difference in attention to different tables. The manager was at almost every other table checking on the guests, except ours. The same goes for freshly cracked black pepper. Our drinks also came after our appetizer was done and was delayed due to a lost ticket. The tartare, carbonara, and branzino were good though. The homemade focaccia was also good. The vanilla almond pana cotta (which was comped for the late cocktails) was good but not as advertised. The vanilla almond pana cotta was overly thickened with gelatin to form a small quenelle on top; there may have been it elsewhere but I could not taste it. The cherry granita and cherries were overpowering and all I could taste. I may come back to try happy hour and try the pizza, but we felt our expectations were not met. read more

Great food. Great ambiance. Great service. We had a bit of an issue with my very picky 12 year old daughter asking for her chicken Parmesan to be served with Alfredo sauce rather than red sauce. Unfortunately, the dish was still brought out with red sauce. We advised our server of the error and the manager came to our table to apologise and the chef then brought us two desserts on the house and they very graciously comped my daughter's meal, even after fixing the issue. Ciao Vino is the real deal and in Las Vegas and talking about Italian food, that is not an understatement. Run, do not walk, to Caio Vino. Bravo! read more

I love this location in Boca Park. It is a beautiful restaurant with a very nice bar that has both an inside and outside section. We sat at the bar and enjoyed an excellent Moscato, a dirty martini and split the chicken parm. I was originally sad that they no longer offered the squid ink fettuccini which was my hands down favorite. My girlfriend was craving the chicken parm, and so it was settled. The portion was huge and the cut was perfect (not too thin and not too thick). The fry was phenomenal with a light yet crispy crust. We split the dish and still took home leftovers. The side of bucatini was even better the next day. The bucatini sauce is a drier tomato sauce that truly clings to the pasta versus other runny sauces. In a city where every Italian restaurant and most bars offer a chicken parm dish, this one ranks in our top two. read more
