Went to lunch with two girlfriends. We chose to eat indoors although they have a very large patio with misters. Will definitely eat Al fresco when the weather cools down. I ordered the $25 two course prix fixe. Numerous selections to choose from for both first and second courses. I chose a lovely mixed green salad and a caprese sandwich which came with fries for my second course. The salad which I was told was small was quite large. I ate 1/4 of the sandwich and a few fries, together with most of the salad. My friends ate a few fries also. So, I took home most of the sandwich and fries. Great value for $25. One friend ordered a short rib lasagna and the other had an Italian Cobb salad. We all enjoyed our meals. Ambiance is comfy and our server, JoJo, was very pleasant and accommodating. I had the opportunity to enjoy a weekday lunch at this particular location. The chain advertises a lunch special for $25 which includes your choice of one appetizer and an entree. I chose the meatballs for my appetizer and the chicken salad for the entree. I had heard that the meatballs here are considered very noteworthy and I did, in fact, think they were quite excellent. The chicken salad was good, but not especially noteworthy in my opinion. The service here was quite excellent. The one thing about this place that I did not care for was that the restaurant was open air, which is not really all that wonderful on a hot day in Las Vegas. I don't usually come here for brunch, but I've been plenty of times for lunch and dinner, so I thought I'd finally give it a try. Their brunch menu is on the smaller side, but they have all the breakfast basics, plus some of their popular lunch items, and the prices are really reasonable. Our server was amazing, attentive, friendly, and easily the best part of the night. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, although it does get pretty loud when the restaurant is busy. We shared several appetizers and most were excellent. The arancini and burrata salad were both great. The zucchini chips tasted good, but the portion was surprisingly small and they were very greasy and oily. I ordered the Bolognese with zucchini and pumpkin noodles, trying to be a little healthier. It was good and plated beautifully, but it wasn't very filling. My wife had the braised short rib Marsala, which looked great, and everyone else at the table seemed to really enjoy their meals as well. Across the board, the presentation was very nice. The biggest downside was the wait for our entrées. It took roughly 30 to 40 minutes for the food to arrive, which felt long, especially considering the prices are on the higher side. I finished with a double shot of espresso, which was nicely presented with a lemon peel and sugar cubes. I also didn't realize until recently that North Italia is now owned by The Cheesecake Factory. Finally got to try North Italia. The Lasagna was great and also one of the lowest calorie options on the menu which fit my needs. The staff was fantastic. Not that it needs to be a standout, but the bread is bland. the garlic bread appetizer is a better bet. The meatballs and polenta were also good. prices are reasonable for the area. They don't have anything really healthy on the menu, even the salads are high calorie according to the menu and many of them have nuts. Whatever it was weird hours. The prices are pretty steep but well worth it to be honest. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and it was really good, had just the right amount of sausage. The portion was perfect too, not overbearing or stingy. The dining room is a wide-open area, you can see the bar in front and the kitchen in the back, I like an open concept. It's a great atmosphere and I love when the weather allows for open air dining! The Grilled Steak Panzanella salad was so good! Lots of tender steak and well seasoned. I found out later that the salad should have egg slices, at least it says that on their Web site menu. The Italian meatballs on polenta were pretty good, but they should have been warmer. I ordered a simple salad, it had way too much dressing and the dressing was so salty to the point that when the pasta came, it tasted like the pasta had no flavor. My husband ordered a Caesar salad, once again the salad had too much dressing and again, the dressing was salty. My guess is it had too much anchovies in the dressing because when I tasted it, it tasted fishy as well. My husband ordered the salmon for his main dish and the salmon was over cooked and dry. I devoured the mouthwatering Italian meatball with cheese sauce and the decadent bolognese paired with freshly made pappardelle--simply sensational. I also sampled the Capri salad and Spicy Rigatoni. The sauce was fantastic, though I wish it had a bit more kick. The Chicken Parmesan was a delightful surprise, served with perfectly al dente Rigatoni in a rich, creamy Alfredo sauce full of flavor. For dessert, the Tiramisu transported me straight to Italy, and the espresso martini was perfectly crafted. I've always wanted to try North Italia and heard nothing but positive comments. We were on this side of town and finally decided to come here for dinner last minute on a normal weekend night. We didn't have reservations but luckily they were able to seat us within less than 10 min. I would expect needing reservations during holidays, but if it's a typical day, you should be fine. No complimentary bread, we were fine with that but just an FYI. We ordered the following: Shrimp Scampi: great appetizer item! Plentiful portion with BIGGGG pieces of shrimp. Scampi butter was pippin hot and pieces of garlic were delicious! I'm not a bread person but it's soooo good to dip the bread in that hot buttery garlic sauce. Chicken Parmesan: it was either this or my weakness, pesto pasta. But I was craving chicken parm and this absolutely did not disappoint. I loved how it came with a side of alfredo penne. Normally at other Italian restaurants, it's a side of plain ol red sauce spaghetti. Solid entree! I would totally get this again. Plus portion was big enough for me to have leftovers for lunch the next day. How perfect. Crushed Meatball Ragu Pasta: husband really enjoyed it. I couldn't help myself and had a few bites myself. Big chunks of meatball ragu as well as sausages (?). Flavorful without being overly salted. Once again, portion was big enough for leftovers. We were too full from dessert but I have no doubt they excel in that department too. Everything here is delicious. North has been great over the years, but a recent visit was very disappointing. Had a lunch reservation on Saturday afternoon for 7 of us. It was not crazy busy and there were lot of empty tables inside the restaurant. Food took an extremely long time. We asked our server multiple times and he kept assuring us it was coming soon. The assistant manager finally came out to apologize and say "Most of your food is ready. One of the pizzas has about 6 more minutes, would you like the rest to come out now?" We said sure, especially because our kids were starving at this point. My salad came out with no dressing on it and my friend's pasta dish was cold. We had to wait for the server to come back again. He brought me out a teeny cup of dressing and swapped out the pasta. It then took 10+ minutes for the final pizza to come out. In the meantime, my other friend was waiting on a cocktail that never arrived, and we eventually canceled it. Nothing was taken off the check, nothing else was said to us or addressed. For over 4 years, North Italia has been my go-to for casual Italian dining. Reservations aren't required, there is ample seating, prices are reasonable, and the quality is reliable. Over the years, I've actually ventured away from their pasta. Although always fresh (as you can see in their open kitchen), they have many better options under entrees. With some even served with a small portion of pasta, it's usually a better deal too. They often run promotions, so I'd check their website. They have plenty of menu items, perfect for large parties. Wait staff has always been wonderful. They ask about allergies, are well versed in wine pairings, and keep water glasses full. The worst I've experienced is a 15 minute wait on food during a weekend evening rush, and even then it's to be expected. This was my first time at this location. I have dined at the Peoria local quite a few times so I was excited to try this one. We were seated as soon as we walked in. We had reservations at 5pm so it wasn't busy yet. The dining was very nicely furnished. They have about the same amount of seating on the patio as in the dining room with a bar and high top tables in the middle. I asked if the White Truffle Garlic Bread could be made gluten free. I was so happy to hear that they can. I felt like I had died and gone to cheesy heaven.before I developed my wheat allergy I ordered garlic bread anywhere it was in the menu. It's one of my favorite foods. So when I say theirs is quite possibly the best I've ever had in my life, it means something. We ordered family style for the entrees. We ordered the Bolognese Pappardelle, Strozzapreti, Ricotta Cavatelli( subbed gf pasta), Chicken Scarpariello and Short Rib Lumache. They were all absolutely delicious. Dessert did not disappoint either. We ordered the Brookie sundae and the Tiramisu. I couldn't have the Tiramisu but I was told that it was great. The Brookie sundae was a fun dessert. It came with vanilla, pistachio and chocolate gelato, whip and some sort of cake on the bottom. I didn't go all the way down because of my stupid allergy again. The gelatos were all good. It came with a side dish with strawberries and nuts and little chocolate balls. I can't wait to go back again. Came here with my friend for restaurant week. North italia was one of the participating restaurants that extended their restaurant week menu until the 19th. The menu consisted of an appetizer which I chose the grilled artichoke. It was so delicious and probably my favorite part! My entree I chose the smoked salmon avocado toast! It had a lot of flavor.. just wished I had a tad bit more salmon ontop. And dessert I chose the Italian donuts. Tasty but I only had a bite because I was so full. The tasting course costed $30.. I would say worth it! My server, who i can't remember her name was very nice but seemed busy.. My wife and I dined here tonight for our 16th anniversary and our waitress Hoku did not disappoint, and neither did the food. She was so nice, attentive, professional, and easy to talk to. She made us feel welcomed, and she helped us celebrate our anniversary, and even comped us a delicious desert of bomboloni. I recently visited North Italia and had a great experience. Even though it was busy, we were seated pretty quickly, and the customer service was excellent throughout our visit. Out of everything we ordered, my favorites were the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Chicken Pesto, and the Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey. The Chicken Pesto was a little more lemony than I expected, but I would still order it again because it was very good. The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka had the perfect amount of spice not too spicy, but enough to give it great flavor. The Strozzapreti and White Truffle Garlic Bread were not my personal favorites, but my family really enjoyed both of them. We had a great time on Monday night around 730pm in the outdoor area. The ambiance is modern and updated but casual enough that you can have an impromptu meal. While it did take us a very long time to get water, the rest of the service was great. We ordered the truffle garlic bread which is a must! It's so buttery and cheesy. I had the Sunday night lasagna and it was a great ratio of meat, cheese and sauce. Not pictured was the hazelnut tort and you HAVE to try it! I love how their outdoor seating is fully heated. Definitely feels great for the cold nights we get here. Our waitress was Sierra and she was amazing. She checked on us regularly, and was sure to ask us of any allergies and make suggestions for substitutions. We started with red wine and the House-made Focaccia. The focaccia was delicious and perfectly airy, the flavor was very simple and the oil and vinegar paired well. For our entree's I had the Ricotta Cavatelli but due to a gluten intolerance I subbed for GF pasta, they also had a veggie pasta option. The meal was delicious even with the substitution. There was a generous amount of crab and shrimp and a light oil based sauce on the dish. It was very light and fulfilling. My fiancé ordered the Spicy Rigatoni and enjoyed her meal as well. We were offered a complimentary dessert for it being our first time dining in which I thought was really cool. We decided to opt out due to being satisfied with what we had. Unfortunately, the pasta fell short. The sauce was creamy but lacked depth of flavor, and overall, the pasta was just okay rather than exceptional. I gave three stars because the quality of the pasta didn't justify its price. Service was attentive; my server checked in often and made sure I had what I needed.
