I had friends visiting from out of town and decided to make reservation at Ciccio. In the past Ciccio has not disappointed. (Food served family style) First we started with The Chopped Salad and Three Cheese Gnudi both very tasty. Then came out the Tomato Pizza which was equally as good. Then for the main course The Tomahawk Steak! For us carnivores this was a delight to the palate. For dessert we had vanilla gelato, Chocolate Torta and Garden Strawberries. Consensus with the group Strawberries was the favorite. Service was excellent as we were checked on periodically by different restaurant staff. We were seated outside and it was perfect as the temperature not too hot and volume of music was loud enough for normal conversation. Thank you Ciccio for having us and making a wonderful memory.

Very good meal. I would go back to try the other dishes. They had rather inventive pastas, very non-traditional, which we appreciated. We had: Chopped salad with fermented vegetables, rancho gordo beans, breadcrumbs - A salad's a salad. The "fermented" veggies were basically peppers and olives. I liked the beans and the crunch of the breadcrumbs. Spaghetti with chicken skin, lovage - Super good. Amazed at how the chicken skin bits stayed crispy for a long time. Sauce was a light emulsion. Agnolotti with soppressata, pecorino, pistachio, bergamot - Basically a dumpling filled with delicious soppressata and topped with pistachio. Bergamot was very subtle. Brothy light sauce.

Ciccio has a designated parking lot right next to the restaurant. There's indoor and outdoor seating, though it can get pretty busy! We were unable to get a table, so the trick is to order to go! I was pretty excited to try their pizza. If you like thin crust pies, this is the spot for you! The pizza itself was good, but hot honey definitely turned it from good to great! This was our first time here and won't be our last.

We love Ciccio, so we decided to go to a special event dinner with Nancy Silverton as the celebrity guest chef. We started with the salad which was delicious, opted for the clam pizza as an add on. The crust was sour doughy and tasty. The pasta was good and the noodles cooked perfectly. The lamb platter is where things went wrong. No one at our table liked it, at all. We advised our server, who advised the manager. They didn't care. From there we had a sour corn polenta which was interesting and desert. In all, our bill was over $500 as we were not compensated for sending the lamb back. You would think they could've at least waived the $25 corkage (x2) as a good faith gesture, but no. We even gave two employees a large splash of our wine. We go to Ciccio often and have recently noticed that each time we have left disappointed in regard to treatment. I have a gift certificate to use and then I'm going to take a Ciccio break. The plus was we got to meet Nancy Silverton. She was lovely.

We signed up for the ' Chefs that are really Italian' special event at Ciccio's. The grabbed the only option left of exterior seating , in an enclosed porch area, with heat lamps - this was fine as we had dressed appropriately. The special event was presented as a very cost-effective way to enjoy numerous tastes, including their famous pizza. The area in downtown Yountville can be challenging for parking, but we were fortunate enough to find a spot in the area. We were pleasantly greeted and Our group of three proceeded for our early seating. The event included six courses that began with some of their special house marinated olives, which were excellent. Many of the courses were served family style, but not necessarily appropriately portioned, (some less, some more ) for three people. It became apparent that servers were repeatedly bringing out the wrong dishes for our table of three. The restaurant has a nice wine list, as well as limited options options for beer and soft drinks. Unfortunately, our first round of drinks was incorrect and getting forgotten coffees at the end of the meal was a challenge. In addition to portion sizing, the timing of courses was definitely off as we began receiving hot dishes before we finish the previous course, and at one point, an entire course had been skipped - oops ! Special request add-ons were overlooked, and then arrived late, making for a very bumpy dining experience. Generally, our servers did not seem to be very familiar with the menu to the point that they didn't recognize what was missing, both on the special options, as well as the general content of the menu itself. Hot food was coming out and getting cold before we could even finish the previous course. A somewhat frustrating experience having requested several times to the staff to appropriately pace the food. Overall, the food quality and flavors were very good (four stars) and it was unfortunate that service had to distract from the overall experience. Experience was not on par with the value, even with event pricing.

I have never had a better flavor explosion than I did when I ate here last weekend. And guess what, we came back this weekend for more! The service from the jump was great. They were attentive, sweet and not over the top. Just a good amount of "top". It's a cozy open dining room, definitely a tight squeeze, so if you do any shopping drop it off at your Air B&B or in your car first. The smells, the flavors, the spices... THE BREAD! From pizza crust to Focaccia. I asked a lot of food questions while I was here, and it turns out the sourdough starter the chef uses... that baby is 16 yrs of TLC. And can I brag about the Caesar salad. I have never had a Caesar that has tasted so fresh, so crisp so delicious in my life. Every level of freshness hits your palate in layers and worth every bite. Okay, now our dessert: The Mascarpone with Macerated strawberries, drizzled with Balsamic. OH SH!T! Simple, elegant, Heavenly. Although, I may have insulted the chef. Even though this precious, delicate cup of heaven was perfect just the way it's made, but I wanted a twist. So I asked for fresh basil. With confusion in their eyes and much hesitation, they let me have it. I chopped it up and sprinkled it all over and it was DeVine! If you have here, even for a day, do not leave without trying Ciccio's, take it to go if you have to (it will not taste the same as fresh) but just as amazing. Hi Chef, I am back this weekend (12/23/25 to 12/28/25), if you hear that a crazy woman is asking for basil, I am doing so without offense. I just really love basil, so much I gave my dog the name! Salute.

Worst host ever she seat us on sunny place saying we need to leave the place by 6:30 pm( arriving time 5pm ) I do understand we were just walk in, food was amazing and everyone else was amazing and let me feel I wanted to come back. Although I do understand some seats were reserved they could have at least moved the table so that my family had shade.

We were craving pizza and our concierge, Maria, at Harvest Inn where we were staying recommended we come here! And I am so happy she did, it hit the spot! We started off sharing pesto pasta, it was a special not on the regular menu, and was amazing!! We finished it all. For our main dish we shared the pepperoni and clam pizza. They were both really good, but the pepperoni pizza was out of this world! I'm still craving it weeks later lol. Laura was our waitress and she was adorable! Not only was she super attentive, but had the best personality... she was infectious! We loved her and she made our experience 10x better! We will be back for more pizza!

Let's play the game "Never Ever"... never ever will I eat at Ciccio's. Why you ask? The absolute inflexibility of the chefs. Because of food allergies and intolerances I asked for a pepperoni and mushroom pizza without black garlic or hot sauce but answer was no. You can get a mushroom pizza or a pepperoni pizza but each had things I can't eat. I asked if it was a matter of "can't" or "won't" and was told won't. So we left. I feel deeply sorry for the server put in that position and was certainly empathetic. Great news are there so many other great choices in Yountville including pizza places.

Was recommended Ciccio the last time I was in Yountville. And after my dog sitting gig in Napa & a quick trip to St. Helena we decided on the way back to eat at Ciccio, yes, on a busy after Christmas evening. The signage is small but I guess the building used to be a market because outside in large print is, Market & a small signage of Ciccio. It was dark so not as easy to find even w/GPS, but it's on the Main Street. I enjoy sitting at the bar and we arrived just in time with no reservations & as one couple was finishing up at the 6 seat bar we got their seats. Perfect timing. The reception at the front was very welcoming and attentive. We sat and perused the menu and decided on a bottle of Italian region wine. Wines are not a bargain here but this was least expensive and I like a good Italian wine & it was. Went perfect with our radicchio salad my only complaint is to use less red wine vinegar and more olive oil and tear the pieces into smaller pieces. Too much vinegar to olive oil ratio makes for an easy choking episode and I will add let the vinegar sit on the chicory at bit longer to soften the radicchio some. Heck I would reinvent that salad. A quick sauté of the radicchio so it's a bit charred, then olive oil then a little balsamic vinegar, pears on top. Done. Ok, ok it's not my restaurant. Next was the tomato Pizza with creamy fresh dollops of burrata, fresh oregano & garlic, it was perfection, the crust and vision my only comment would be to make sure the burrata is just a bit warmer. Not put on cold to the warm perfectly crusty pizza. Since we had some red wine left we decided on the chocolate ricotta dessert, it was a dense slice of cake. A chocolate yummy perfection. No complaint here. Ciccio is a lively fun place, it's not a large restaurant but it's full of diners and staff, Jessica the mixologist and her sidekick Danny were whirling around like dervishes, making cocktails on the fly, opening bottles of wine, smiling, entertaining and serving us at the bar and the tables in the restaurant. So much great energy and glad we stopped by.

such a cute little restaurant in yountville! we were very surprised at how busy it was on a random thursday night, so i definitely recommend making reservations before coming in! me and my husband decided to order from their restaurant week menu and we were not disappointed. we ended up ordering the chopped salad, the focaccia and stuffed peppers for appetizers, mezze rigatoni for our pasta, the mushroom pizza, and we chose the vanilla gelato for pine nut oil for dessert! the salad and starters were SO good! honestly the perfect portion between two people. i'm a bread girly and the focaccia was literally so fresh n yummy. the peppers were also delicious, but be warned they are spicy as it's chili peppers and not bell peppers like i thought LOL my husband and i both chose the rigatoni for our dessert and that was probably my favorite thing from the night, but i do love a white sauce pasta hehe... we were both a little disappointed with the pizza. it was okay, but we both thought it was kind of bland and couldn't really taste the mushrooms! overall, the food was great and the staff was amazing (especially the general manager who was walking around and helping everyone out all night)!

Very cute spot and they get busy quick! We went for an early dinner around 5:30 after wine tasting because Ciccio was a recommendation from one of the sommeliers at the winery. At 5:30 it was already half packed. They have a small parking lot next to their restaurant so we parked on the street about a block away by the park. We got the agnolotti pasta (which is their prawn stuffed pasta) and the sausage pizza. It was our first time having agnolotti pasta and it was okay but probably would not get again because portion size was a bit small for the price and it didn't wow us. The sausage pizza was good with the fresh vegetables. Crust was well made. Quick and friendly service and the vibe is casual but also fitting for a date night.

Gigi was such a fantastic, knowledgeable, and fun server. We told her to surprise us and she was super fun to play along! We loved our experience and time here. Tbh, I thought it was just a whatever, Italian food. I love Italian so it didn't matter where we go The kicker is the fresh ingredients you could taste with each single bite, the complexity with sweet, acidity, spice, all perfectly blended. Super fantastic job ciccio

Unfortunately, our experience on Memorial Day weekend was anything but. From the moment we arrived, the hostess set a tone that was unwelcoming and, frankly, rude. Rather than graciously managing what was clearly a staffing challenge, she repeatedly reminded us -- as if it were our problem to carry -- that they only had one server on the floor. On a Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. One of the busiest hospitality weekends of the year. I understand staffing is difficult in the industry. What I don't understand is how a restaurant at this price point, in this location, can justify charging premium prices, expecting 20%+ gratuity, and then making guests feel like an inconvenience for showing up. That is a management failure, not a guest failure. A great front-of-house professional absorbs operational stress and protects the guest experience. What we received was the opposite -- we were made to feel like a burden before we even sat down. This review has also been sent to corporate leadership. Guests deserve better, especially at these prices.

We arrived about 30 minutes late, but the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. We were seated right away and greeted warmly, which immediately made the experience feel relaxed despite us running behind. The one thing I knew I had to try here was their famous buttermilk fried chicken. Although I probably should have checked the menu more carefully beforehand, I was a little surprised to find out that Ad Hoc offers a fixed $69 menu, and everyone seated has to participate. I was even more surprised to learn that the famous fried chicken is actually an add-on to the set menu. The whole thing kind of felt like Hermès, where you have to buy all the other restaurant offerings first just to get access to the thing you really came for--the chicken. Lol. Regardless, we went with the set menu and added one order of the fried chicken, which was more than enough to share among four people. It ended up being a great lunch before a full afternoon of wine tastings. The meal started with crudités, and the vegetables were beautifully presented and very fresh. The dip leaned more like a hummus-ranch sauce, which was lighter and not as thick as I personally prefer, so this course was probably my least favorite. Still, it was a nice, refreshing way to start the meal. The main course was pork, which I initially wasn't too excited about because I was still mentally waiting for the chicken. But honestly, it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked to literal perfection. It ended up being one of the best pork dishes I've ever had, and I would happily order it again. The fried chicken was, of course, amazing. The batter and skin were crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, while the inside was juicy, moist, and cooked beautifully. It's genuinely impressive how they manage to make fried chicken taste this perfect and consistent. Dessert was peach cobbler, and even though I'm not usually much of a dessert person, I really enjoyed it. It was warm, comforting, and a sweet way to end the meal. Overall, Ad Hoc was such a fun and satisfying way to start our Napa weekend. While the fixed menu setup and chicken add-on were a little unexpected, the quality of the food made the experience worth it. The pork was a surprise standout, the chicken lived up to the hype, and the service was warm from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed but elevated Napa meal--especially if you're going for that famous fried chicken.

At Jeanty's, it was not rubbery at all. The caramel ice cream and lemon sorbet was yummy. The caramel was sweet and super caramelly. The lemon sorbet was such a great palate cleanser. Good lemon flavor and not too tart and sour. The patrons next to us had the beef cheeks. Lots of patrons ordered bone marrow too. I know I want to order those two next time! Service was great. My sister had a meeting that she had to step out for. During the time I waited, our server made sure I was ok, refilled my water glass. I will definitely be back!!

We ordered their famous tomato soup, crispy pig's feet with mustard sauce, and bone marrow with escargots and bordelaise sauce. It was such a great selection of appetizers and more than enough to hold us over for the rest of the day. The tomato soup was truly to die for. It was incredibly rich, comforting, and full of a unique flavor that I already know I'll probably never be able to recreate at home. The crispy pig's feet were also cooked beautifully--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and basically melted in your mouth. Same with the bone marrow and escargots, which were rich, savory, and so satisfying. Everything was so good that I completely forgot to take photos, which is a rare occasion for someone like me. After getting a taste of how amazing each appetizer was, I'm even more excited to come back and try their main dishes.

What I got for $14 was two slices of very dry bread, a stack of thin turkey slices, two curled pieces of mild cheddar cheese (on a turkey sandwich?), a single limp leaf of lettuce and a packet of yellow mustard (Heinz) and mayo. No tomato, no seasoning, no balance of flavors. Just dry bread, turkey, and cheese that doesn't even belong on this type of sandwich. The wrap didn't list ingredients and the deli counter was closed, so there was no way to ask questions or customize anything. I ended up stuck with a premade option that felt like something from a hospital cafeteria rather than a market in the Napa Valley. The bread could have saved it, but even that was just a bland sweet roll with no texture or character. For $13+ they could at least use a decent bread from one of the many local bakeries. As a local, it's disappointing because visitors assume places in Yountville will reflect the food reputation of the area. Unfortunately this didn't come close. I've seen similar feedback in other reviews for the deli, and after this experience I understand why. The sad part is those reviews date back for years and they have obviously fallen on deaf ears. Vote with your dollars folks. If you're heading up valley and want a good sandwich, you're honestly better off stopping at Genova in Napa on the way or continuing just a few minutes up the road to Oakville Grocery. If you only need a quick bottle of wine this is a place for you. I rarely say this, but this was a "never again" for me.

They moved to the Bay Area 36…read moreYears ago and I can count on my two hands (6 times) they have had legitimate American style food that wasn't fast food, fast casual, or a chain restaurant. That and the fact that they have never been to Napa/Sonoma Area in their 36 years in America, meant that my brother and I had to plan a trip. My brother selected Mustards Grill. It was along the way to our reservation to Beringer and continently along St. Helena Highway. Despite hearing about Mustards being a staple within the Yountville area, it was so my first time trying it too. We had a reservation for 4 and after getting taken care of by the courteous host and being welcomed by our waitress, we were left with waters and the menu. To get the most of the experience, my brother thought we should all share several items. We shared their famous Pork Chops, Duck Confit, Ribs and Cornbread, Squash Risotto, and a side of Green Beans. We were offered fresh bread and butter prior to the arrival of our entrees and shortly after enjoying the soft pillowy bread, we were ready for more. My parents, being Cantonese and coming from the restaurant background, really care about having fresh and quality ingredients and letting the flavors shine - not letting sauces dictate the dish. Despite it being American fare, they quite enjoyed each dish and went back for additional helpings after giving a small initial taste of each item. Our visit to Mustards Grill ended up being a joyous meal where my parents got more exposure to the wonders of quality American cuisine as well as marked a good start to the day we were spending in wine county.

We had reservations for 11AM, by the time it was 11:30AM, about 85% of the restaurant was filled. By noon? All the tables were taken! Come early, get seated, relax. Service: We had the privilege of having Dwight be our server this afternoon. He was an absolute gem who loves his job, and loves what he does. He explained to us the specials, and some of the dishes he liked; he was a big help! We settled on a few things: the chicken wings (a MUST-HAVE; they are smoked first --- then fried; then tossed in a bit of a sweet seasoning --- it hits all the taste buds!). We also got the sweet potatoes --- good, nothing to write mom about. In addition, I had to get the famous Mongolian Porkchops. Dwight suggested to get it medium (I was a bit apprehensive --- it is pork), but always "trust the chef". So I did. My meal was EXCELLENT. The porkchop was perfectly grilled with some charred bits, and the meat was tender and juicy. Thank you Dwight for your suggestion! All-in-all, Mustards Grill is a MUST if you're ever staying in the Napa Valley. They received a Michelin Star in 2025, and if you try their food, you can clearly see why. After your finished with your meal, step outside and make a right --- and take some photos next to the vineyard. You are in Napa after all!
