    Porterhouse Pork

I'd give this more stars if I could. What a great experience. We sat on the patio which was so beautifully scenic on 3 sides and had a window into the kitchen as the fourth (which was so cool!). The server was fantastic as well as the food runners. All incredibly nice, accommodating and speedy. It was my mom's birthday and we got free champagne as well as free macarons for dessert, which were both unexpected but appreciated and above and beyond. The food was out of this world! Not one bad bite in the bunch and we had a lot. The porterhouse pork and carrots really stood out as stars tonight for dinner. Dessert was hands down the baked Alaska which was incredible! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Order family style so you get to try more, it's worth it!

Nancy loved the wine recommendations also.

Great experience!! The Veal chop was incredible. The strawberry shortcake built my Mari Flor with her original Baltimore recipe for the biscuit and whipped cream was THE BEST!! Thank you Alex for great service. We will be back.

We got married and chose this restaurant for our private (just the two of us ) dinner. We were immediately greeted with champagne and THE BEST , most sincere service. The general manager Marcin was awesome. He was so engaging and made sure our dinner was extra special. Our server Alex was amazing as well. Thank you all so much. We will make it a tradition to dine here on our anniversary. Oh, the food was SO DELICIOUS. We didn't know a pork chop could taste so good.

Came with a reservation but probably was not needed as the restaurant was not fully packed. Service was very friendly and timely. We had various small plates which were all delicious. They have a good sized menu. 1. Salad - Fresh garden salad hit the spot for the green craving 2. Shashito peppers - Spicier than I thought they would be and had to take half home 3. Meatballs - Good sized meat balls with very tasty sauce 4. Oysters - Good variety, clean tasting Overall a good place to come for dinner if you are in the area.

Located inside of the Harvest Inn hotel, stopped in for a quick bite and drink once we checked in. By far, they have one of the most amazing happy hour specials. M-F 3-6pm great price drinks and food. Homemade chips were great but the Korean BBQ tenders were hands down the best item on the menu. I would have been happy eating those subsequent evenings. Fabian made an incredible Manhattan which was again at unbeatable price. We didn't eat there for any full on meals and only dined for HH at the bar but overall wonderful!

We were looking for a place in Napa along the trail close to our first wine tasting and stumbled across this place. It sits inside a quaint hotel surrounded by trees and a stunning landscape. We chose to sit outside to enjoy that and the wonderful weather. Everything on the table was very simple - nothing fancy. Looking at the menu though you realize just how fancy it is. All fairly simple breakfast items for quite expensive prices. The food was good but definitely not over the top. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was very simple but the added citrusy greens livened it up a bit. The bacon was a weird texture but tasted fine. The potato's were good but a little soggy which was a bummer. Service was fine but a little slow considering that they weren't busy. A good experience with good food and gorgeous atmosphere. If there was an option for 3.5 stars I would give it but the overall experience leads it to a 4. Would go back for the grounds and a snack for sure.

Shared a dinner for two last night. The salad was good. The bread was amazing. The tomahawk steak was huge! Also enjoyed the dessert and the broccolini. Our waiter was good and attentive. The restaurant is quite nice, as it's in a compound that looks like an English village. Overall, a great experience. Will go back.

You can't go wrong with dining indoor or outdoor! Both options provide a beautiful ambiance. Food was absolutely delicious! Jack, our server was amazing! He was very friendly, knowledgeable (you could practically taste the food as he describes it) and gave us some great recommendations--- they were out of a dessert item as he provided us with what was comparable. Evan too was super friendly and went above and beyond by finding out the brand and name of they crackers they were previously serving at their wine tasting. 10/10!!!

Harvest Table in St Helena was fabulous!! The choices of the warm beet and pear salad and the butter leaf herb salad were both very good. Next course the Trout or the Duck Shepherds pie were delicious! The trout melted in my mouth. The sticky toffee pudding was a slice of chocolate cake accompanied with a scoop of vanilla ice cream covered in a mouthwatering toffee sauce. We paired the meal with the Quilt Cabernet and the dessert was perfectly paired with a Merryvale dessert wine! The ambiance has a lodge feel with a large fireplace inside the dining room. Teo was our server a native in Napa Valley who was exceptional and had a wonderful sense of humor!! The Harvest Table sets a very high bar!!! Very happy!!!

Napa Restaurant Week 2024 brought us back to this hidden gem for another amazing meal! The beautiful dining room wasn't too full, and a fire was roaring in the rock fireplace, nice on such a stormy night. We brought some dear friends with us and we all appreciated the world class table service we received! We enjoyed a bib & herb salad or warm beets for a starter, both yummy. My wife had a whole roasted trout which was cooked perfectly and boasted fresh flavors of herbs and brown butter. My duck shepherd pie had deep, rich flavors of wine and spices and was topped with a parsnip puree and Parmesan. For dessert we all chose the sticky toffee pudding, a light date cake topped with warm toffee sauce and served with malt ice cream, sweet and decadent! We're told they're going to start a "locals specials" program, and when they do we will enthusiastically participate!

This restaurant is located among Brasswood's other businesses: winery, bakery cafe, and some retail store (that I didn't check out). there's a large inside dining room with interesting decor, and there's an outside seating area in the back as well, which overlooks the courtyard in the middle of all the business (which has a nice water fountain thing in the middle). the middle of courtyard looks like it's set up for weddings. I opted to sit outside since it was a nice day as did most of their other customers at the time. Our server was polite and professional. - fresh mozzarella with toasted bread: I don't know why this isn't listed on the menu since it's the biggest reason to come here. Fresh pulled mozzarella that they cut up tableside and serve on some freshly charred and toasted bread. It's not just nice, fresh mozzarella; they season it properly along with a drizzle of olive oil. So good. - heirloom tomatoes with balsamic vinegar: this is also not on the menu, but it's probably seasonal and based on the availability of good quality tomatoes. delicious. a perfect complement to the mozzarella, really. is it pricey at $12 for a few pieces of tomato? yes, but I'd do it again. - Short Rib Sugo (slow-cooked short ribs, carrot, & onion sofrito, mushrooms, cabernet sauvignon, parmesan, house-made pappardelle pasta): this was a solid dish. basically, what you'd expect. nice and rich. I think they used a touch too much rosemary when seasoning this dish, but not enough to ruin it. - Duck Bolognese (sonoma duck, classic mirepoix & red wine, pecorino romano, house-made pappardelle pasta): this was also delightful. it ate similar to the short rib sugo in that it was this rich, delicious pasta dish. I found this one more to my liking compared to the short rib sugo, but I think they're both fine dishes. - The Brasswood Burger (meat, cheddar cheese, & ketchup only): this was a variation of their standard burger that was ordered for a kid. I had a few bites of it. while the bun was just plain great, the patty itself was dry & overcooked. they didn't ask for the doneness of the meat when we ordered, and perhaps, they just hammered the thing since it was being served to a kid. - French Fries: these were served with the burger. they were very nice. thin and crispy. good fries! - Chocolate Mousse Cake (cranberry sauce, chantilly cream, amaretti cookie): this was very chocolately. almost too chocolatey, but the cranberry sauce and chantilly cream played a nice foil to the richness of the chocolate. I wasn't sure if I'd like the chocolate & cranberry combination, but it worked nicely. A good dessert for chocolate lovers.

Great food. Absolutely terrible service…read more What could have been one of our best meals in Napa was completely overshadowed by the worst service my husband and I have EVER experienced. The food was excellent--the mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, ahi salad, and pizza were all delicious. Unfortunately, our server took our order and then essentially disappeared for the rest of the evening. Our plates and silverware were cleared but never replaced. We asked for more and waited so long that we eventually took silverware from the table next to us. We asked for the check twice and told someone we had lost our server. Meanwhile, we couldn't even order a glass of wine or dessert. When our server finally returned, she explained that she had a friend in a wheelchair and had needed to help transfer her. I understand wanting to help a friend, but leaving an entire table without service for essentially the entire meal--with no communication or backup--was unacceptable. Credit to the chef for the fantastic food and to the busboy who kept our water glasses full. But great food can only go so far when you're literally ignored all night. We won't be returning. It's a shame because the food deserves much better service.

As a Hyatt member was able to use points instead of selling my Audi to pay for a one night stay. So the next morning, where to go? After a quick breakfast we ended up at The Saint for cocktails. At first we didn't think it was open since it was early and no one was in there. Upon entry it is clear this isn't a dive bar. A few high tops as you enter to the left and a nice long bar with and table against the right wall. This building takes you back to 1890 or so when it was originally a bank. I wonder how many times it was robbed at gun point and the bad boys rode off on horses with the cash??? Many of the light fixtures are original from the same time. It has a bank vault as every good bank should. But since this is a bar the vault is more a private area with seating. Since we just had a late breakfast we only had drinks. Not sure but I'm pretty sure Andrea had a Lemon Drop and I know for sure I had tequila and lime. While we were there a few high tops filled up with Chardonnay drinking ladies getting away from the family (kids and partners) for the day. And a couple of different couples being tourist. I know, I know technically we are tourist but we've spent so much time here over the years we don't feel like tourist and back in the day not long ago many people thought we lived there. Our bartender was great about explaining the details about the bank building and it's history along with a tour. Next time we are in St. Helena we will definitely be back. It looked like a nice place, and we decided we would return the following day for a visit. We came in for some drinks and to enjoy the swanky interior. Dark, sexy vibes, very nicely done. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he was terrific, friendly, engaging, and down-to-earth. He made us some great drinks (lemon drop for me, tequila & lime for my partner - we're such one trick ponies), and later showed us around the place. There is a lot of history in the building. It used to be a bank back in the day (and by 'back in the day' I mean the 1800's), and it still has the original vault. Beyond the vault door, there is a speakeasy-style dining room that would be absolutely perfect for a private event. We didn't try any food this time, they only had light bites on offer at that time of the day, but the dinner menu looks promising, and I look forward to having a full meal here upon our next visit. Downtown St. Helena is a bit out of the way of our usual stops in Napa, but I would make a special trip for this spot again.

That and the fact that they have never been to Napa/Sonoma Area in their 36 years in America, meant that my brother and I had to plan a trip. My brother selected Mustards Grill. It was along the way to our reservation to Beringer and continently along St. Helena Highway. Despite hearing about Mustards being a staple within the Yountville area, it was so my first time trying it too. We had a reservation for 4 and after getting taken care of by the courteous host and being welcomed by our waitress, we were left with waters and the menu. To get the most of the experience, my brother thought we should all share several items. We shared their famous Pork Chops, Duck Confit, Ribs and Cornbread, Squash Risotto, and a side of Green Beans. We were offered fresh bread and butter prior to the arrival of our entrees and shortly after enjoying the soft pillowy bread, we were ready for more. My parents, being Cantonese and coming from the restaurant background, really care about having fresh and quality ingredients and letting the flavors shine - not letting sauces dictate the dish. Despite it being American fare, they quite enjoyed each dish and went back for additional helpings after giving a small initial taste of each item. Our visit to Mustards Grill ended up being a joyous meal where my parents got more exposure to the wonders of quality American cuisine as well as marked a good start to the day we were spending in wine county.

The wine list is one of the most extensive I think we've ever seen. Later moved onto some reds. We weren't really hungry but needed something for the trip home so ordered some Mac and cheese and an avocado tostada type thing to split. It was massive. No way either of us could have finished one on our own. People came and went and we were still there. We finished with a lemon meringue pie with enough meringue to put you in a sugar coma for at least a week. (See pics) Obviously we didn't eat all that. I don't think anyone does. Time to go. As we walked in, (we were lucky as we did not have reservations for lunch but came early) the atmosphere, venue, electricity in the air was amazing. They also have a lovely outside seating area, which seems to the hot spot. It was exactly how all the people described it and the overall atmosphere was amazing with that giant open flaming cooking area at the end and in the middle. I had the perfect seat to watch it and the amazing Chef Marshall preparing food. A lovely young lady ( am am embarrassed that I did not write down names) came by and got us started with menus, silverware and a drink order. Then our amazing waiter (same thing on the name) came over to explain more. Both my wife and I already knew that we were having the burger. (Pretty rare and special for her to have a burger.) Not much to say other than they were AMAZING! Two patties (rather large) on a bun with special sauce and cheese. These weren't just good, they were really, really good. Cooked perfectly (medium) and served with the most amazing hand cut fries. This place definately set a new bar... and it's really high! We decided to share an entree of whole roasted chicken together with some broccolini for clean eating and to still have room for more wine later. Staff were generous with a complimentary cookie for our celebration. Whole roasted chicken 4.5/5 It definitely fed the both of us and we still had to take a little bit of the leftovers home. Chicken was super juicy, tender and nicely seasoned. The arugula was sort of a little acidic to our liking. Potatoes were a nice treat. Broccolini 4.5/5 Nicely roasted and the butter sauce was super tasty. Cookie 4.5/5 Wow. I mean it's simple but probably one of the best cookies I had in a long time. Wished there was a scoop of ice cream hehe but can't complain when it's free Ambience 5/5 It's a very beautiful restaurant and definitely a spot to take many photos. Bathrooms are very nice, clean and tidy. Staff 5/5 Very friendly and check in very often but not invading. Definitely coming back!

Bucket list restaurant…read more Review: I've had our RH on my bucket list for quite some time and decided to come in and celebrate with my partner for his birthday. This place is aesthetically, pleasing nice decor. I love the chandeliers a very laid-back relaxed, but elegant vibe. The staff definitely exceeded my expectations. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and did their job so well without being stuffy or overdoing it!!! Our server junior was on point very smooth attentive, not invasive and handled everything perfectly!! also I would like to give a special thank you to Maddie, and the other Latina young lady who assisted me with the birthday presentation for my partner! I greatly appreciated everything about this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I thought it was going to be bland and tasteless but everything was flavorful and super good and fresh. I also wasn't sure how the staff was going to be because we all know, Napa can be very pretentious and stuffy!!! they do their job so well especially they are mostly young! I was really surprised very good job with the staff. I really appreciated the treatment I received here.!! Food selection: RH burger, side of truffle fries, Caesar salad with grilled prawns, broiled, salmon, potato purée caviar bumps, and champagne. The champagne flight was good it featured, rosé, and brut I believe, it was my first time trying caviar because I'm not a big seafood person, but it was actually fresh and decent and I think it would par well if I got it with a food or an appetizer which they do offer potato chips & caviar. Everything was flavorful tasted really good. They nailed everything I was pleasantly surprised.!! Ambience: the ambience is definitely why I chose this place. It gives a very elegant, chill, relaxing vibe. I love the aesthetic. I loved the chandeliers. I love the beautiful furniture decor and they also have an outside area for dining as well, but even if you chose to dine indoor, it still feels like you're outside so win is a win. Only thing I would recommend is them steam cleaning the couches a little bit due to a lot of traffic. That's the only complaint that I had. Conclusion: whether you are just stopping in to grab a burger, a salad or a full course dinner this place definitely passed the vibeCheck!! the food was so good. I'm still thinking about it right now. I will definitely come back to this location. It was definitely worth the money and definitely worth the experience, especially for special occasions. I highly recommend. 10/10 THANK YOU RH!!!

The thinly sliced cucumber and pluot added incredible freshness without disrupting the texture, balanced perfectly with just the right amount of acidity and sumac tartness. Star of the night! * American Wagyu Steak Tartare & Raclette Fondue: Both were fantastic, rich, and well-executed. The Main Course: * Dry-Aged Kurobuta Pork: The only real downside of the meal. Even accounting for pork having more texture, it was surprisingly tough for dry-aged Kurobuta. The accompanying pork cheek confit was melt-in-your-mouth tender, but lacked depth of flavor compared to how vibrant the earlier dishes were. Worth a visit for the starters and great service and very good atmosphere --just wish the main matched the high bar set by the rest of the menu! The patio was beautiful but if you cannot do warm temperature, highly recommend sitting inside since I personally was struggling due to heat.

While it's pretty, very clean, and the waitress was lovely, there's not much else positive I can say about the experience. We had an 8:30 reservation, ordered the 4 course meal with out the wine pairing (and added the pretzel) and didn't finish until 11pm! I'm all for an experience meal but we had SO much time between courses. Considering everyone orders almost the same menu I don't understand what could possibly take so long. There were tons of staff walking around, making sure to place your courses on the table at the same time as the rest of your party, and pouring the same broth/oil thing on every dish, and yet we had about 30 minutes of just waiting time in between courses. By 10pm I had had enough, but we were 2/4 dishes into our dinner and I wishfully thought it would be over soon. I ordered a hot tea to give me something to do. By the time dessert came out, I had 1 bite and had to go to the car and left my husband to get the check. Aside from the sheer length of this meal, my husband and I both agreed that it was actually disgusting (something we have rarely both thought). We have been to MANY nice restaurants, including other Michelin star restaurants, as well as many course pre fixe menus (in the states and outside) and while we are no strangers to fine dining trends (foams and consummes etc.) I've never experienced food like this before. To start off we were offered a chilled corn soup with corn foam on top as a "gift" from the chef. It was fine, not my favorite but I appreciated the foam aspect of making this Michelin star. Afterwards we ordered the pretzel with some kind of cheese and caviar on top. This did taste good, it was kind of a Rye tasting pretzel with a cream cheese and lox tasting spread. We ate all of that (for $75 at least it was edible). Then began our 4 course meal (thank god we didn't do the 7 course meal or we may still be sitting there). It started with a tomato dish, that was okay, one kind of tomato was good the other wasn't, the broth they poured over it made it taste kind of fishy, I only ate half of it. Second course was a bowl of 3 Gnudis (seemed like a more delicate Gnocchi) and while the texture was delicate the flavor was SO rich and sharp I could only eat 1. Third course I opted for the vegetarian smoked zucchini dish, it was terrible and tasted so strange I've never been able to eat less of a vegetable before. For the 3rd course my husband got the chicken and did say that was good. For dessert I got the strawberry panna cotta type dish which was decent, my husband tried the cheese raclette dessert and said it was terrible. I have written very few 1 star reviews but this has to be said. Please do not waste your money. You couldn't pay me to experience this meal again.
