We sit on the patio cause we had just come from a 10K run and we knew we smelt terrible but we really thought we needed a drink. Service was great. You would've thought we were the only people in the building. It was a little slow for Saturday. We go to guacamole he tucked us into chunky guacamole which I wish I would have said no to I like mine smoother better. The margaritas were on point. He made them fresh for us. I like the besides your typical dip they bring out like a black bean purée dip as well. we got the molcajete. There is a little different than I've ever had. It wasn't the typical warm spicy green sauce. It was a red, more oily like sauce. It was good but not what I expected. On the menu it also said that they had cheese with it, which is typically like a bread cheese and all the other restaurants I've ever had this at do, but they did not have any at this one even though it was on the menu. They did give you plenty of quail in it. The beans that came with it were awesome and they give you a whole bowl not a tiny cup. So we were full when But I didn't care for the sausage either or the cuts of meat so all in all I probably wouldn't order the molcajete from here again but their chips and salsa are good. They're guacamole was great and you can't beat the service. Plus they have free ice cream when you're done and they flavor it vanilla and strawberry, which was awesome. read more

Margaritas were fresh and delicious! Chips came with red & green salsa, as well as a black bean dip. All were yummy & fresh. The main course was delicious, but also disappointing because it what we received was very different from what was on the menu. The menu said green sauce, the sauce was no where near green, it was a red sauce. Still good, but not what we expected. Also there was barely any sauce, we had to ask for some more on the side. The menu also said the dish came with white cheese, but there was no cheese and when we asked the server, we were told no cheese came with the dish. It was definitely confusing, but all in all we had a great time. The charro beans & rice and guac that came with it were had great flavor. Flour tortillas were delicious & fresh. Staff is rude including the managers. We went once and got sat pretty quick. We ordered drinks and after that everything went downhill. Our waiter decided not to serve us and all they did was walk past us. Finally someone came to our table and took our order. After that we saw several waiters-waitress just passed by and all they did was stare at our table. Finally a manager showed up and said if everything was ok and assured us after waiting idk how long that our food would come out. Again for idk how long same thing just passing and staring. Finally my fiance got up,walked in the kitchen and that's the only way out food came out. I ordered the #2 and my wife ordered #1 dinner. The beef taco wasn't seasoned. The chili con queso on top of a overturned shell had about 1 tablespoon of cheese on it. Maybe 1/4 of the shell had cheese. I ordered a beef enchilada with onion on top and the waiter repeated the request. No onion and there was a chunk of ground beef inside the enchilada that was pink inside and again the only seasoning I tasted was the chili con carne on top of the enchilada. I stopped by today for a quick lunch and was seated quickly. The waiter took my order and chips and salsa came out just as I sat down. I order the fajita taco plate with rice and beans which also came out relatively quickly but when the plate arrived I noticed that it was dirty. Food was caked on the plate and it had some sort of grime. I'm pretty adventurous but this is a risk I'm not playing with. I was seated and served immediately. There were only a couple of people here when I arrived. Chips were hot and the green sauce is awesome! Huge potions! Decided to get Queso even though I'm by myself. It was hot and served with jalapeños! I ordered a Dos Equis and the waiter couldn't believe I was almost 30! I wasn't in any hurry so the waiter let me take my time with the menu. I finally decided on the Summer Plate. It comes with guac, Queso, taco, and a beef chalupa. It came out within 5 minutes I'd say!! Guac is delicious! I also watched other tables. The staff was very attentive. Everyone always had a full glass and plenty of chips. I read other reviews and feel bad for the people who said they got bad service. I had a pleasant time in my booth in the back where I could see the entire restaurant! Very underwhelmed. I came in right as they were opening. There a strong smell of cleaning products & something foul masked underneath it. I ordered chalupas.. the crispy tortilla part was actually in the shape of a bowl & placed upside down with lettuce heaped on top of it complete with two pieces of tomatoes. Not great at all. I sent it back in exchange for good old fashioned cheese enchiladas. I had asked for beef but wasn't going to fuss again. The rice was mushy & it tasted like it had just been heated up in the microwave. The chips were super greasy and the salsas were weird. The green was strangely sweet. First off, parking is terrible. The front lot is cramped and you can hardly back up. While I was seated promptly, I could barely understand what the waiter was saying the whole time I was there. The chips and salsa were decent but nothing special. The venue as a whole looks fine, until, upon closer inspection, my friend and I found that the wall is deteriorating and whatever is covering the ceiling is kind of tearing off. The food is definitely average and the restaurant is nothing spectacular. I'm not going back again and the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because for the most part the staff was friendly. read more

Walked in and place order for menudo, only to be told 10 minutes later there is no menudo. Wait staff was so slow or shall I say lost, then came back later to inform us the cook had quit, so "someone" else was cooking. Husband ordered machacado and was served barbacoa and eggs. I recently started working in Belleville so I thought I'd check out the Mexican food around. Needless to say this place was so bad that I'm thinking of opening a Mexican restaurant in Belleville simply because I feel sorry for the people who choose to eat here at cielito lindo. I ordered the fajita nachos , I'd expected real melted cheese on my nachos but instead it was cheap Chile con queso sauce , meat was dry and bland , half a teaspoon of mashed avacado that they guacamole, this place is a real joke . Decent Mexican restaurant with everything you would expect from a small town place. Staff is indeed very friendly and the place feels/looks clean out too. Parking is kinda tight especially if you have a big truck. I usually sit at the bar area which has two TVs and a full bar. Chips and salsa is fine and it comes with green and red. Lunch menu is a fair price and good portion. We always stop here before we go to the farm in Hempstead. I shall return!!! read more

Full disclosure: we were only here for drinks. We'd read all of the weak reviews and decided we had to try this place. We were on a margarita hunt so we decided to drop in since Cielito is walking distance from the town center (a plus). Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated on the patio for pristine afternoon libations. Happy hour is 11-6 so we enjoyed two girthy margaritas- we were very toasty. Service here is impeccable- not in the annoying way, but in the genuine way that makes you smile when they come around. Cielito really made our trip to Bellville a nice one. We stopped in here because we heard from our bed and breakfast neighbors that the food was fantastic. After a long day of antiquing we opted for food to go. I had the Papa nachos and hubby got a cheese enchilada plate. The staff is definitely NOT friendly and is more interested in socializing about a party or whatnot after they close instead of seating people. The bartender at one point disappeared from an extremely messy bar that was cluttered with margarita glasses and half full baskets of chips. I saw a manager approach the bar and freak out in front of diners about the bar and attempt to clean it up - he succeeded in grouping the mess together and walking away before the bartender magically reappeared. Grateful that we had gotten our food to go, we paid and left. The papa nachos were decent - the potatoes were pretty bland, but the chicken was fantastic. Hubby's enchiladas were standard, the rice nothing out of this world. There were other places for us to try when we go back, so I doubt we'll come back here. However, their salsa was delicious and had the right amount of kick. The prices were good as well, but the menu didn't have anything original on it. It was worth a shot! read more

Bad service - slow and he kind of left mid order for a bit. food not too good not very pleased with what we all ordered. There was no separate kid menu and our two can read and they didn't give them a menu. We asked for another bowl of chips and salsa and it came right before the meal. there was 7 of us. they were out of peppers for poblanos and no bell peppers. After that pleasant invite we are then served up a nice dose of complaints by our waiter about having to come to work because his brother called in sick. While on the way to the restroom we got a brief preview of the kitchen and the ridiculous amount of filth in there and there was no way we were staying to eat!!
